This book is a brilliantly summarized history of Nepal. I have definitely studied the detailed history of the age of the Malla kings, the conquest of Prithvi Narayan Shah, the rise of Jung Bahadur Rana, with an air of nostalgia, back in school. This book tells the same story and much more into the future. What I liked most about it is the way the author tells this forever incomplete tale of Nepal revolving around the great Ganesh Man singh and his sense of undying duty towards his nation fueled by the ultimate sacrifice of life made by his friends for democracy.
