when i finished this book i felt like giving up was fine and noble. the language is minimal and well-sculpted. the characters are real and interesting and unexceptional and hot.
I liked that this book was written in a direct and straight-forward style. The author made it easy on the eyes in a time when we're under a constant assault by every form of entertainment imaginable. Most-to-all of these forms are more appealing than several small marks on a page, yet McDowell's book transcends the 21st Century isolation caused by our glowing screens. I liked reading it a lot, and I liked how easy it was to turn the pages and how hard it was to put down. It reminded me about why I like to read, and how I can continue to read in the future if I wanted to. I recommend anyone who is looking for a book that is both readable and enjoyable to pick up this book, read it, and decide for yourself. This is a book that could only be written in a day and age where the book has more enemies and challenges than ever to face.
