If the past eight months have taught me anything, it’s that being a Superhero sucks. Here is why: I’m irreversibly bonded to M, an alien life form that only I can hear; I constantly have to be on guard to keep my secret identity secret-like; I fight Supervillains like Dr. Villainous, Deathbot, and the Glop every other day; and the greatest, most hardest suck of them all—I pissed off Liberty, The World’s Greatest Hero. My name is Gabe Garrison and this is the next volume of my story ...
Superheroes in Prose: The Bend is the best in the series. This is pretty sci fi/ fantasy material as well as smart. In this installment, Liberty, who Gabe angered before is dating Gabe's mother posing as someone named Jacob and is planning to kill her if Gabe doesn't stop him. He has to pull all his connections together including Pink and the Weather Witch to stop Liberty.
Another great listen by Sevan Paris. I think this book would appeal to a lot of guys especially teens or YA.
Bryan Reid did another outstanding job narrating with perfect voice inflections spanning multiple characters. He's truly a gifted voice actor.
Audiobook gifted in exchange for an honest review.
This books delivers a showdown fight and climactic moment that most series would have dragged on and delayed. I love the epic plot and characters of this series.
