After reading book 1 and liking it, I have to say, this is the ultimate, book 2 had me in tears, choked up.

Caleb is an addict. Addicts just think of themselves most of the time and their next fix.

Lennox is the one with her heart broken time and time again.

Caleb has upped and left her. He's also left her bringing up their son.

Its very easy for us to sit outside of a situation and judge and react saying:

1 Why does she keep taking him back?
2. Why be a doormat?
3. Why let him wipe his shoes on you time and time again? have you no respect for yourself.

I always wondered what was wrong with these women who stayed with partners like this. Habit? Love, or a false sense of the word love?

Or is it remembering what they CAN be live on the good times?

Whatever it is, I will not sit in judgement on someone else's life. No one walks in the same shoes and no one makes the same choices.
What we do is, be there for them when or if it falls apart.

Finally Lennox sees sense beyond her hope, her dreams and Caleb, she decides to move on.

But will she be able to?

Her child "Where is my Daddy"

She has family around her, physically around her as she lives with her parents. So she has practical help, alas, she still thinks of Caleb.

THEN at the end, I thought Caleb was going to come clean, I thought all the answers were going to be put in the pot so readers had answers to the mysteries behind Caleb, alas, not.

That then lost its point somehow for me as its book 2 and final part.

WHAT HAS CALEB BEEN DOING FOR OVER 2 YEARS WHILST HES BEEN AWAY?

I'm left feeling empty. Left frustrated. Grrrrr

Is this final?

This story did nothing for me....In the first book Lennox mentioned that she was 20. I could have sworn they met when Caleb was 8 and Lennox was 6 or 7. In the second book, the author says that Caleb and Lennox are both 19 going on 20....So wrong...I felt like this book was a waste of time. Like the first book Lennox was still an idiot when it came to Caleb. Her life was still all about loving Caleb and finding a way to save him.

Review by Jen Hagen

At the end of the first book, “Take it All,” Caleb walks away from Lennox, and she has some pretty big news that she is coming to terms with. She calls upon her good friend, Raine, to comfort her.

Now in “Promise it All” we begin the story 6 years later with flashbacks to the time that Caleb was absent, back again, getting clean and absent again. It seems like Caleb cannot resist the pull of drugs even when it comes to choosing between drugs and his family. The last time Lennox saw Caleb was 2-1/2 years ago leaving his wife and son. Nobody has heard from him in that time.

She knew he wasn’t sitting in a brand new apartment, starting his life over completely clean and sober. As much as she would like to think on the positive side, it just wasn’t possible.

She is left alone to answer questions about where daddy went. She has the support of her family and in fact lives at home with her parents. Caleb’s parents have also stepped up to the plate as grandparents and take an active role in their grandson’s life. As hurt as Lennox has been with Caleb leaving them, she would take him back in a heartbeat. Her love for him is infinite. She would forget the pain and heartache he has caused her for a future that included all of them together as a family unit.

When Caleb’s whereabouts are finally known, Lennox begins to hope that they will be able to reconcile. Caleb is evasive with all his answers, never really letting Lennox where they stand or if they will be standing together at the end.

“It’s complicated, Lennox. I can’t say yes, but I can’t say no,” he said. “There’s other factors for me right now.”

I was having severe acid reflux from all the possible scenarios that would go through my mind on what Caleb had been doing for those 2-1/2 years. I was under the impression that eventually he would tell Lennox and clear the air. I was wrong…this is where I lost the higher rating for the book. I was in angst heaven until the end when I realized it was THE END. I didn’t get any of my answers. The story was told in second person concentrating mainly on Lennox. It would have been nice to have spent a little more time with Caleb.

I love this author...but this book took me on a voyage of utter frustration..I understand enabling and addiction but I can't comprehend the amount of times that one person can be crapped on before they HAVE to say enough. This book frustrated me and I wanted to love Caleb or Lennox but at the end of the day I only fell for Raine and Emerson and I don't think they were the ones I was supposed to be rooting for, just not my cuppa! Could be yours..

4.5 OUT OF 5 STARS
After I finished reading Take it All, I had to get started on Promise it All because I couldn’t let the story of Lennox and Caleb go. The first book ended at such a pivotal point. Needless to say I had a pretty bad book hangover the morning after because I was hooked.
This story takes a through a time span, going over past and present the lives of Lennox, Caleb, Raine, Londyn, Emerson, Haley, Reed, Caleb’s parents and Lennox’s parents.
In this book we get to see all of the struggles that Lennox faces while trying to support and love an addict, because that is what Caleb is. She is lucky to have the strong family and friends to support her along the way. But we get to see her develop into a very strong and independent woman.
This book spans a six year time, many changes happen, some very good things and some very bad. This story is so accurate in the depiction of what it is like to have an addict in your life. The uncertainty, broken promises, lies, and heartache that come from loving and supporting an addict.
I don’t want to get into too much of the story because I think it is a book that deserves to be read. If you have ever had any experience with an addict in your life you will be able to relate to the story of Lennox and Caleb. It is a difficult journey, not one to be taken lightly and sometimes no matter how hard you try or how much you love it is never enough.
Thank you Emma Grayson for sharing the story of Lennox and Caleb with us, it is an amazing book series. I am glad that I had the opportunity to experience the story….

I have just started this book and it is already annoying me. She is not pregenant? Damn.It would've been more interesting if she were. Honestly Few chapters gone and i already hate how she forgives Caleb so easily after leaving for SIX FUCKING YEARS. It would've been better if she got angry, hit him or something. And show some more emotions other than her soft spot of love for Caleb. I'm sorry but i can't finish this book.

**** I received an arc in exchange for an honest review****

This book continues from the last and is equally if not better than the first.

We reach the conclusion of Lennox's and Caleb's story and what a read it was.

I really admire the way that this series was written as it states that is is based on true events.

A really great read that I recommend for others to get the series.

Proceed at your own risk with this review, as I provide some slight spoilers. This book picks up several years after the previous one ended, but, no worries, as Lennox goes back several times and re-lives the past to catch us all up. This is done by her going to a therapist and re-telling the therapist about her relationship with Caleb. In many ways, this was a reassuring step, for me, for Lennox, as I had felt very strongly at the end of the first book, that she needed therapy and needed some type of support.

Basically, Lennox and Caleb have just lived through Hell, together, and that Hell is called Addiction. Caleb is addicted to drugs and Lennox is addicted to Caleb. This is, unfortunately, not far from the reality of what addiction can do to relationships and families. In the present, Lennox has currently not seen Caleb in over two years, nor has he had anything to do with their son. Things fell apart for the two of them when Caleb had about three years of sobriety, and he fell apart after that.

Not to worry, fans of Caleb, as he comes back into the story, and, in many ways, I was not surprised at how he came back into the picture. It may surprise some people, however, so I don't want to give that away. Caleb has definitely lived through some rough times in the years that he was absent from Lennox and their son's life. He has seen and done things that he will not talk to Lennox about when they do finally talk again. He seems hardened, bitter and just...used up. He is not the same Caleb that Lennox knew, but she still tries to see the Caleb that he knew in him. From there, the rest of the book was very much a let down for me. I tried not to begin this book with any expectations for how their relationship would go because I knew, based on the synopsis, that he had relapsed. And, in many ways, some of what happens with the two of them is realistic. I guess what I have trouble with is Lennox. Her reaction to Caleb, her acceptance of what he has done, and her telling him that she would do anything and go anywhere to be with him, even as he tells her that he's not in love with her anymore...it just fell flat to me. The author tried to make this big distinction between loving and being in love, but Caleb told Lennox he wasn't in love with her - and in fact, he was with someone else when they first talked after the few years, so...I just couldn't get behind her anymore, as a character. I know that this is based on true events, so I'm not trying to judge the events, themselves, but my review is based on the character of Lennox. I also have a hard time separating myself from seeing how codependent she is - even to the detriment of herself and her son.

So, while the writing was definitely still good, and the story was still intense, I just didn't love this as much as the first book. I guess I still had some hope for Caleb after the first book, but I don't have much hope for him after the second one. Also...the therapist was a joke, as he sees the two of them for one session and says "you've got it - just come back to see me for any follow up that comes up". That's not what a real therapist would do. A couple getting back together, especially with Lennox and Caleb's story? They are only at the beginning of the therapy that they need.

At the end of Take It All, I was torn with how I wanted Lennox and Caleb’s story to end. The love that Lennox has for Caleb is limitless, despite the heartbreak she’s had to endure due to his addiction, but it’s that exact pain that makes me want her to run as far as she can away from him and find someone who can love her back exactly the way she deserves.

Book 2 is told in real time with flashbacks in the beginning of the story to show readers how Lennox and Caleb got to the place that they did when Promise It All begins, six years later. The biggest questions that Lennox has continued to ask herself for the past two and half years, since he left her for good, is what happened to Caleb and why he doesn’t feel the need to reach out to her or his family to let them know that he’s okay. Since that fateful night when her life imploded, she has done everything that she can to move on and be strong for the people around her, but she isn’t truly living, and she hides the pain and devastation that she feels on a daily basis from everyone who loves her because she doesn’t want them to see what Caleb’s abandonment has truly done to her.

When Caleb does make contact with his family, and she learns where he’s been and what he’s done, Lennox still holds out hope that they can reconcile and go back to being a couple despite how much they both have changed and what Lennox has had to go through while Caleb was gone. This part of the story is drenched in angst because Caleb is elusive and never gives Lennox clear and direct answers, which frustrated me to no end because despite Caleb’s lack of answers, she still wants him and would willingly take him back, which to me is mindboggling. The amount of free passes she gives him doesn’t set well with me, but that might be because I don’t feel like readers are given enough answers to truly understand everything that’s happened.

There’s so much still left up in the air when the book finishes that I was left confused and exasperated. I wanted answers. I wanted to see that Caleb was truly repentant for everything that he did. But he never comes off that way to me. I actually wanted to reach into my iPad and slap him silly for how detached he was acting when Lennox was pouring her heart out to him. I didn’t feel like we were really given a conclusion, which left me quite a bit dissatisfied. I’m still glad that I read Promise It All because I wanted to see if Caleb would get his act together and be the man who Lennox needed him to be; I just wanted more of a satisfying conclusion. I needed to know how it all ended up after Lennox fought to be with the one person she couldn’t live without.

This book follows on 6 years after Caleb left Lennox. The last book was left on a cliff-hanger and I really wanted to jump into this book to see what was going on in their lives. At the end of ‘Take it All’ Caleb had just left Lennox with some big news and she was trying to come to terms with that. Caleb threw 3 years of being clean away and started on drugs again. Caleb is such an idiot and he can’t seem to WANT to get clean, not even for his family. Lennox really made me angry in this book because there comes a point in your life when you have had enough of someone’s lies, broken promises and shit that you just say NO I can’t do it anymore. No matter how much you love that person. Lennox would take anything from Caleb, I think if he cheated on her she would take him back. She is very much blinded by love in this book as she was the first. But I think this time she needed to let him go for the sake of herself and her family. You have to realise that your life will most certainly affect certain little people’s lives as well.
I'm not sure if the ending was meant to be a HEA or if there is going to be another book following on. But for me Caleb is not going to change. Lennox will live her life being paranoid if he is using again, if he is going to turn up dead, or he has just run off.
If you think that reading this book you are going to get your HEA then you need to read something else. This is not a book with a HEA!! This book might be for some people but I don’t enjoy a book when you can’t love the characters.

Promise It All is the conclusion to Lennox and Caleb's story.

It doesn't pick up right where Take It All ended, we are taken to six years later. Lennox is on her own raising her son, still completely in love with Caleb. Not knowing where he is or what he has been doing most of the time, she has a mind full of unanswered questions. Her son wants to know where Daddy is but she doesn't have the answer to that.

Finally finding Caleb, she thinks all the answers will be answered but she is so wrong. Some of the things during their time apart he may never tell. The love Caleb and Lennox have is strong in some ways but so fragile in others. Can they truly make it and build a future together? I'd love to think love conquers all but sometimes that isn't the case.

Addiction is something that people will battle forever, that is shown even more so in Emma's book. The writing is great but still some unanswered questions which is why I didn't rate 5 stars. I can't wait for Emma's next book.

The trouble with second books is some times they should of been left as just one book or didn't meet the standard of the first one. That is so not the case with this book. Its everything you expect and more. So much more. In some ways I think it surpasses the first book.

This book is the final in the story of Lennox and Caleb, and let me tell you if you think the first one pulls at you, this one takes a wrecking ball and smashes it. It captures you very much like the first and you don't stop reading until your done.

This book is exceptional in every way.

This book get 5/5 stars.

This for me was 3 1/2 stars. The storyline was good, yet it left me with a lot of unanswered questions about what Caleb was up to the 2 1/2 years he was absent. I adore Emma's work, and my reviews for her three other books show this. However, editing in this book was disappointing because the errors took away from the story. I tried to overlook them but couldn't. Overall, even with the unanswered questions and mistakes I still enjoyed the story, and finally found out what happened between Caleb and Lennoex
