While I'm not typically much for paranormal romance, I did enjoy this fast read. The character - including the witchy librarian protagonist - are vividly well-described and emotionally well-handled. On the downside, the narrative felt a bit formulaic and the rules surrounding magic - a key element of the story - felt a little bit flimsy, but both can fixed in future installments. Over all, this was a fun book which went by way too fast - a sure sign of two great authors weaving together an enchanting read.

First action page 6
“Electric stapler on her desk misfiring over and over” - it piqued my interest.
Female MC to male visitor, “I can do you.”  <--Nominee for Quote of the day. “…the stapler toppled off the desk.”
A lot of fawning, by ladies other than the MC, of the male visitor followed.
Instalove may be involved - Male Visitor “hadn’t stopped thinking of her since he saw her.” 9% in. Who knew that a library could be so romantic? I guess the two right people, Miss Right and Mr. Right, could make any place romantic.
Hold your horses, time shift ahead!
… first love euphoria but …another remembers, relives loss, unbearable sadness, then the cruelest cut of all.
… a beautiful moving story about wand acquisition. 13% in.
Another time shift. Desperate witch. Sinister thoughts, evil intentions foreseen. Protective mother.
Random scenes of life, some perfect and some far from perfect, you know how it goes. Maybe these were some kind of test of the reader’s personality or empathy or sense of humor.

Breaking rules is the MC middle name, kissing the wrong/right guy at 41%.
Putting a normal at risk and taking selfish pleasure.
MC relationship suffers from attempted sabotage by an evil one.
MC struggles with who she is.
Wrong Guy/Right Guy’s ex-girlfriend shows up sowing seeds of doubt at 80%.
Tears.
Where’s her mother????
Thirtieth birthday, alone and her witch power now at its peak. She spent her birthday scrubbing the underside of her kitchen table. Her best friend was even absent, not believable. Her mother called but did not show up for her most significant birthday, not believable. The cat was there at least. She goes to the library to work, not believable. Maybe reading a book or staring at the TV makes more sense to me. If I was a witch I would be doing some serious magic, fire and brimstone, laying waste to whole regions, sending the moon into the Sun. How about a rainstorm over her ex-boyfriend’s construction site for a year straight? And throw in some repeated lightning strikes. Is that where all those tornados came from??
Her girlfriend finally shows up with the cake the MC had ordered and couldn’t cancel. Haunted basement?? Big spoiler, …ah, you can figure it out for yourself. 87%
Caught by evil and she summons a non-magic normal, how about her powerful mother? No summon her non-magical friend so he gets killed. Boy, she really must hate him. Ah, the plot twist, smart mother after all. HEA. All’s well that ends well.

Okay, this was more of a 3.5 stars for me but I will bump it up to 4 because I liked how the ending wasn't syrupy sweet. There was still work to be done in the relationship and I think that it was a fairly realistic way to go after the doozy was dropped. That saying I wasn't a huge fan of the secondary character Cat, who I know the sequel is about, despite her being a big part of the main character's life. She just annoyed me. I can't put a finger on why but she did. Other than that it was good. It was short and I read it in one burst which is always a plus for me. All in all if you are into 'something witchy this way comes' then this a great book for you. Also despite Cat annoying me I will read the sequel.Mostly because I have a fairly good idea who she is being paired up with and I can't wait to see her attitude about the whole thing.

This is a super interesting book.

Cat and Bay have been friends forever but Car doesn't Bay's deep secret. Bay was told by her.mother not to tell anyone their secret of being witches. Then Declan comes into the life of Bay's and all kind of weird things start happen. So!e good & happy, but some not so good. But the plain fact is that you need to read this yourself. Characters & plots are awesome.

I can't believe it took two people to write this really mundane paranormal lite romance. Imagine a girl in her late 20's that understands nothing about boys, dating, and what is normal. With or without using a smidge of magic, like to help save a child running into traffic, & the man trying to catch him before child gets hit. There were no evil spells or coven activity.

Enchanting

It was a lovely read. This should be a great series. With a beautiful witch coming into her power, a kind and handsome good guy, and a dastardly villain; the book aims to please. Add in a nice touch of humor and we have a winner.
