Cecily von Ziegesar is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Gossip Girl novels, upon which the hit television show is based.

Cecily von Ziegesar was born in New York City. Her childhood dream was to grow up to be a ballerina; she began lessons at age 3 and auditioned for the School of American Ballet at age 8, but was rejected.

As a teenager, von Ziegesar commuted to Manhattan at 6 a.m. to attend the Nightingale-Bamford School. After graduating from Nightingale, von Ziegesar attended Colby College before spending a year in Budapest working for a local radio station.

Von Ziegesar returned to the United States to study creative writing at the University of Arizona, but dropped out shortly thereafter.

Back in New York, while working at book-packaging firm Alloy Entertainment, von Ziegesar became inspired to create the Gossip Girl series, which follows the lives of privileged teenagers in New York. The series climbed to the top of The New York Times best-sellers list in 2002. A spin-off series, The It Girl, made the list in 2005.

The Constance Billard School for Girls in Gossip Girl is based upon an exaggerated version of von Ziegesar's alma mater, Nightingale. She also culled events from the book from the lives of her extremely wealthy friends, as well as her own life as a perpetual gossip.

She lives in Brooklyn, New York with her family.

I liked this one slightly more than book 1, although Blair would really be better off without Nate And I don't know what is going on with Dan and Serena, but she doesn't seem all that interested in him either. Hopefully Blair and Serena can be friends again though!

First of all, this book doesn’t deserve a star but I’m going to give it one because I can’t rate anything lower than that, and I want to be part of that percentage that has 1 star (in goodreads) and level up a little bit, because it seriously has to

-13

That’s the actual rating, why? Because is exactly how many books are left so by the end of the series (the final book) will be zero, which means the whole series won’t have an actual number, and the next book will have -12, the next one, -11, you get the point.

We’re going to start with the characters and then a little of what I think of the plot (which it really doesn’t have one), and why is this book the worst I’ve ever read.

Blair:

Such a manipulating person, and she’s totally toxic towards Nate, she wants everything in her own way, and saying Brown is a bad college for I don’t know? (not a specific reason), just because it’s not Yale ugh NONO, ugh! “I’ll learn how to cook” wait why? You couldn’t just hire someone? Or even better we’re going to learn, no why just you? It’s a relationship (two people) he has to do something too

Obsessed with having sex with Nate, girl! I JUST CAN’T and she thinks so much about it that I don’t think is healthy anymore, the times she said that is desperate to do it are incredible, EVERY single chapter about her at least five times she said SHE HAS TO DO IT!

I just literally can’t with her relationship like Blair is just so crazy and toxic, and Nate is literally screaming at her that he doesn’t love her anymore and she’s still acting like OMG! We are soulmates GIRL! Please Stop! For my sake

Conversations between them:

Nate was silent, “Nate?” Blair asked “Yeah”, “So what do you think?” “I don’t know,” he said. “It sounds fine. Look, I have to get going, okay?” Blair clutched the phone to her ear. “Nate?” she said. “Do you still love me?” But Nate was already hanging up. “I’ll call you later, okay?” he said.

We love those kind of characters especially women

She literally stole from a famous shop, and because she had spent so much money already with them (the shop) she thought that she deserved a free gift, and stealing underwear UNDERWEAR! If she didn’t have already so many, do you figure out for “who”? And it really matters the underwear I mean it’s not his first time he already knows what to do like use a pretty underwear because they didn’t even make out so I don’t think he has seen so much her underwear
She says to a dog “fuck off”, because he was in her apartment… NO! .
She had practically got down on her hands and knees and begged Nate to come up to New Haven with her, and of course he refused

“And if anyone tell that it was bad to be like that with him she should think “they could go fuck themselves for making her feel like shit” Again, we love strong female characters

They always are saying Blair is a bad bitch, THE BADDEST in fact, and in the interview she was even worse than me, but then I thought that perhaps she doesn’t have this perfect life and everything, but no! We barely saw how she’s really feeling so that was an opportunity wasting to tell us that not everything is perfect, because she had a break down and we don’t see nothing further than that, I want to know more yiu know, I want to know how is she feeling the real Blair
And also in the interview she’s just such a prejudice person, she’s looking at the interviwer and think (not good thing) about him, how he perhaps doesn’t have a wife and has probles in his family, GIRL! Stop and focus please

“She was going to get into Yale, no matter what. She and Nate were going to go there, together. They were going to live together and do it whenever they wanted to. That was the life she had imagined for herself and that was how it was going to be”
“She’d been calling, e-mailing, and messaging Nate ever since she’d gotten back into the city on Saturday afternoon, and he hadn’t replied”
Don't you just love been in love?

She had a thought about Nate and Selena and how she’s so hot and Nate wasn’t going to be able to keep his hands off her tonight and she’s TOTALLY ready, TOTALLY!

“She was going to find Nate and have a serious talk with him. Didn’t he understand how much she needed him right now? Couldn’t he see?
“Serena and Nate were sitting next to each other at the next table, while she was stuck sitting with her family. Un-fucking-believable”
“This isn’t happening, she told herself. Nate wasn’t acting like an asshole, and he didn’t just majorly dismiss her. It was all in her head”
“Enough was enough. It was her birthday and she wanted it her way”

I love being in your head and how you think Blair, you go girl!

“Nate wasn’t her leading man. He wasn’t going to sweep her off her feet and love her and only her. He was just a supporting actor, some loser who would drop off the screen before the final act. And if that was the case, she definitely didn’t want him”
Ladies and Gentleman FINALLY! They break up finally I just hope we have a serious character development here, she needs here, everyone need it, I need it especially, please don’t let me down and please have a therapist and be better girl

Dan:

Still creeps me, he’s just SO into Serena, that I don’t think is just a crush anymore

“Hopefully Erik would be partying with his roommates while they were there, that way Dan would have Serena all to himself”
We love when your O/S want you just for you, even though they see every day and talk every day and you haven’t seen your brother in months and you really like being with him, spending time with him, but you know your little baby just want you for himself

They went to Brown he was like:
“There would be no whispering to each other in all-night diners, holding hands under the table. No sleeping together on her brother’s floor. It wasn’t a romantic weekend away anymore: it was a college-visiting road trip, a meaningless party” WTF? Is literally your future Brown! Focus, especially if there’s a chance that both of you attend to the same college and both of you want that college so please think about that.

“He’d imagined himself and Serena strolling hand in hand along the college green, discussing books and plays and poetry. He’d imagined them doing their laundry together in the basement of their dorm, making out on top of the washing machine as their clothes spun round and round”
He was having this thought when he was in the middle yes! In the middle of the interview BOY! You’re not getting in if you aren’t focus I don’t know if you knew this but yeah, you just care about her and you in the same university but nor in the university itself RED FLAGS!

Serena:

First of all, she’s still perfect you know?
She was upset with her interviewer you want to know why? Because he was being rude, and you want to know the best part HE WANST! He wasn’t chatty that’s all, and like Blair she started to think about his pathetic life Girl! Are you serious right now? In this important interview you just thinking about how he isn’t chatty, I don’t know if you knew but he doesn’t have to be!

“She had done her best. If this guy wasn’t interested in her for whatever reason, then fuck him. She didn’t need Brown anyway. Sure Erik went there, but she could do her own thing and her family would just have to deal. Like Nate had said before they went in for their interviews, so what if she didn’t get in? She could go someplace else”
“But Serena was nervous. This was her one extracurricular project. Winning the competition was the only way for her to show colleges that she was more than just a girl who got kicked out of boarding school because she couldn’t be bothered to get back in time for the first few weeks of classes, or a girl whose grades were less than spectacular. She wasn’t a total screw up. She was creative. She had substance. She had taste.
And if they couldn’t see that, then fuck ‘em”
We can clearly see how she’s like all worried, that she doesn’t need them literally “Fuck them”, so girl, why are you there on the first place but then, you’re all worried about what are you going to do if you don’t get in the college so, are you okay? What do you want?!

I left the worst for the finale….

Nate:

As she did, Nate noticed Jenny’s chest. Man, was it ever huge. He couldn’t let her get away, not without Jeremy and the other guys getting a chance to check her out, Come on,” he said. “We’re all good guys. Promise. He reached for Jenny’s hand and wound his fingers around hers- “Hey, do you want to come over to my house and get something to eat?” Nate said, rubbing his thumb over her knuckles. Totally an innocent teenager who clearly isn’t interested on just one thing about a teenager girl
What’s that?” Jenny said. “Is it your birthday or something?”
“Nah,” Nate said. He stuffed the card back in its envelope, picked up the box, and stashed it on the floor of the coat closet. He wasn’t even curious about what was inside. It was probably just a sweater or some cologne. Blair was always giving him stuff for no reason, except to get attention. She could be so demanding sometimes He clearly doesn’t give a fuck about Blair, so I’m going to ask you why in the world are you still with her’ If you clearly want to be with Jenny (or any other random girl) so badly?

Nate sat down next to her. “Maybe you could come up to Maine and I could teach you,” he said quietly. Jenny turned to him, her big brown eyes searching his emerald green ones. “I’m only fourteen,” she said. Nate reached up and touched her curly brown hair, combing it ever so gently with his fingers. Then he put his hand down again. “I know,” he said. “It’s okay” WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

There are several SEVERAL! Email from Blair to him? Where is he? We don’t know, but at the same time he is chatting (email) with Jenny (he actually started the conversation)! Pathetic!

“Maybe I’ll take three years off and we can go to college together,” Nate said, taking her hand. She had the smallest fingers. Jenny caught Nate’s gaze and they smiled at each other for a moment. He let his head roll forward and it fell onto her shoulder. She smelled like clean laundry. “Mmm,” he said. He couldn’t get over how comfortable he felt with her. He usually had to smoke up or have a few drinks before meeting Blair, just to deal with her constant planning and nagging about the future. But with Jennifer he didn’t even need to be high.

RED FLAGS! RED FLAGS! GIRLS! RUN NOW! Like does he actually think is that romantic? And not totally psychopath, Oh boy calm the fuck down!

“But Blair would not be happy if she knew you were hanging out with some ninth-grade chick instead of her. Right?” Nate took the joint and inhaled deeply. “She doesn’t have to know,” he grunted, holding in the smoke.

I'm not going to even start with this

Riding up to Brown with Serena was definitely not in Blair’s you-can-go-away-without-me rule book. But who said he had to follow her rules?
Literally you, why the actual fuck are you still with her then?

Nate walked behind them, feeling a little bit sad himself. He wished he’d brought someone with him, and it wasn’t Blair he was thinking of RED FLAGS! Depredator? Just we can call him like that

(POV Selena and he sleep on the same bed), “and on the pillow between them were their hands … clasped tightly together, they were holding hands in their sleep “but Nate realized he didn’t care what Blair thought anymore. It would really ease his mind if he could apply to just one school and get in and then decide whether or not to go”
And we also love characters we know what they want and not hurting people on the way

“He couldn’t wait to tell Jennifer how awesome Brown was”
First thought was her, so something must be done but instead NOTHING AT ALL HAPPENED WITH BLAIR!

“Nate was holding her hand and it felt so nice Jenny didn’t care whether they talked or not”
“It definitely felt better than when he kissed Blair. Jennifer just tasted better”
Umm… what about your girlfriend? Don’t you have one? Blair? Does that name ing any bells to you?

He’d been ignoring Blair’s calls and basically pretending she didn’t exist, but how long could he keep that up? Sooner or later Nate was going to have to talk. He just wasn’t sure what he was going to say
Yes boy you go!

Nate continued. “You know, when my friends showed up?” Jenny nodded. Yes? “There was something I wanted to do,” Nate said. “And I should have just gone ahead and done it.” Nate pulled her toward him. They both kept their eyes open, smiling as they kissed
Nate couldn’t bring Jennifer to the wedding, for obvious reasons.
Cheating YES!

But he’d promised to meet up with her at the hotel bar during the reception so she could see him in his tux. He’d also promised her that he’d refrain from smoking a big fat joint before the wedding “Mind if I ride with you?” No way was he getting stuck riding in a car alone with Blair
He being sincere with his girlfriend.

“Why don’t you ask that guy if he’ll take our picture?” he suggested desperately.
The Vogue photographer was busily snapping romantic shots of Cyrus and Eleanor in the back of their Bentley. Blair went over and tugged on his sleeve. “Take a picture of me and my boyfriend?” she asked him peppily. But when she turned around, Nate was gone
“Nate looked at his watch. Jennifer was coming in a few minutes. No way was he going to keep her waiting because he was off somewhere letting Blair cry on his shoulder”
Supporting boyfriend and not being a coward that was this boy hasn’t learned and to be honest I don’t think he would ever will, how pathetic and mf you have to be to act this way seriously.

“Don’t be nervous,” Nate said quietly. He lifted her small hand and kissed the back of it tenderly” “I don’t know,” Nate said. He wasn’t about to explain to Jenny that his girlfriend, Blair, was in the next room, probably armed and dangerous. “I just have a feeling,” he said”
Yeah that feeling that all cheaters feel fantastic, isn’t it?

“Nate ducked his head and kissed his way up the side of her neck and along her jawbone until he reached her lips. Jenny squeezed her eyes shut and kissed him back”
They’re kissing in Blair moms weeding in the freaking bar, with all the people there including his own girlfriend who shocking doesn’t know anything about it.

“It’s okay, man. We’re friends. You know that”
Dan got upset (as he should), but Nate is like?, Boy! You literally have a girlfriend WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?

Jenny:

“If Dan told Vanessa he’d marry her if she grew her hair out, wore bright colors, and got some exercise, Vanessa would do it. Jenny felt kind of sorry for her”
Yes, girl you should totally support her, even though we both know that the best is to help her in her feeling toward your brother

“He’s kind of a stoner, but he’s really sweet and totally unpretentious, you know, for a boy who lives in like, a billion-dollar town house”
Yes! Girls! We love boys like that? Don’t we?

“I mean, we haven’t even kissed or anything yet,” Jenny continued before she could ask. “Which kind of makes me like him even better. He’s so not slimy, you know? He doesn’t even stare at my chest.”
Um… sure he just thinks about it and not in a good way, or not even a little but like A LOT!

“She wasn’t Dan’s little sister Jenny anymore. She was Jennifer, her own person, with a hot senior for a boyfriend”
Where do I even start?

“I just think that if you still have feelings for Dan, you should do something about it, that’s all”
Wow! We both know your brother is a total creep and psycho for Serena and you have the audacity to tell her these kind of things WTF GIRL?!

“With a little lip gloss she might actually look like a girl. She also wasn’t half as tough or as weird as she made herself out to be you might have to grow your hair out a little, but it could happen”
She said that to Vanessa, seriously? Who are you? The toppest super model? And even tough “look like a girl”? I need some real answers RIGHT NOW! And growing hair? Really? REALLY?!

Vanessa:
“How come you don’t have like, seven boyfriends?” Vanessa said, pointing directly at Jenny’s chest”
Seriously? Wow, I’m not going to talk about it how fuck up you are

“She put her arm around Dan’s shoulders and kissed him on the cheek. “Buying you a drink,” she said. “Come on.”
“She couldn’t believe she was actually flirting with Dan. She hadn’t even broken up with Clark yet! But it was kind of fun to be such a slut. She leaned forward and kissed Dan on his quivering lips”

Slut? Or a cheating person? Girls! We totally love it don’t we?

The mom is really bad too:
It would look stunning on Serena, with her slim legs and fair coloring. I’m not sure though—it might make you look a little … hippy”
THE AUDACITY! You have a daughter that you should start focus you know?

I still don’t like the Gossip Girls posts, like is just literally gossip and not the good one, besides the fact that they talked about what we already read (all that happened before) like why I do want to know again I literally just read it. The style writing is so poor, one of the poorest I’ve ever read, so bad and cringe sometimes, it takes a long time to get to the point, and to be honest it seems to be writing by someone young and unexperienced.
“The way to any girl’s heart is to tell her she looks tiny. Girls kill to be tiny”
This is in so many ways just way to fucked up please no one should read that, especially young one/teenagers, which is the main market of this series.
It says A LOT “fucking” like cut it off already, so irritating!
“Oh my God. How slutty does she look in that dress?” Rain Hoffstetter whispered to Laura Salmon in the back row, where the seniors were sitting. “And you could totally see her naked boob in the dressing-room mirror,” Laura whispered back. You mean because of the thing with her stepbrother? I heard they’ve been sleeping together ever since he moved in,” Becky said.

The girls (just the girls) are way too serpents, bitches, and is so wrong how the girls (besides the main characters) are portrayed here, instead of embracing these we should point out how this must stop but it doesn’t and the GG posts motivate them to keep going and keep gossing, we seriously need to stop creating girls like that and boys not having to deal nothing at all, you can clearly see that is ·how the girls are”, which please NO! I don’t want to write an essay of “Girls are bitchy, and needy, because it’s their purpose”, and this is totally writers fault.

You know you want me thing AAHH! I swear if I have a dollar for every time they say this line, I would have all the different (covers, editions) Shadowhunters books but you know is the tittle so relatable right? Out of nowhere they sometimes just scream it to random/ another characters oh This is so wrong

And the last point but certainly not the least, is that this book sexualized girls so many times, that I was just in shock how is this book wrote by a woman, and not an old guy, it literally doesn’t make sense.
They are so explicit in intimate parts of girls, and how they feel about it, how they must be the most perfect version of themselves, and to act “good”, to attracted all the boys, and constantly telling what’s best to do/ say according the type of guy. On the other hand, the boys are trash they are just stoned/predators/alcoholics/dirty-mind, and they don’t give a fuck about themselves because women want to have those kind of guys, and they do it perfectly, not having to pretend/act because they’re just boys you know.

The most astounding thing this installment did was sell me on the idea of Nate and Jenny as a plausible romantic entanglement? I'm just as shook as you are. Again, this feels like the kind of book that a younger Monte would have been scandalized by, but reading this as adult it's very clear that quality was not the main goal of this series. It was very clearly written in a way to be out in the world rapidly with a very thin plot and the kind of characters that were just cardboard cut-outy enough to have a reader project things onto them. Still, I'm having a good time for the pulpy fiction they are and they are the perfect way to wind down my reading for the year.

This series is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. Who can resist the lives of Manhattan's Elite? In all seriousness, for the age demographic that this is written for, and the information placed throughout the novel, its definitely a hit.
Much like I was when I read the first one again after years passing since my first experience with it, I was taken up with the lives of the main characters and instantly drawn in. Also being a fan of the show and certain couples, going back and seeing them play out in the novel is a lot of fun.
I'm also a fan of the Blair and Serena friendship and despite all of the issues that face them, both in the show and in the books, I do so much like seeing them come together, even if its only for a short period of time. it just proves the theory that true friendship really never dies, even if obstacles get thrown in the way and with this book, especially near the end, you get to see glimpses of that.
Loved this book, heading on to read part three now. Definitely a great fast and easy read and one where if you're like me, you won't be able to put down.

So far, this series has completely stood the test of time for me. Fantastic writing, witty, sexy. Why the hell isn’t YA contemporary like this today? WHY?

this book was a car crash from start to finish. all the characters I'd grown to absolutely adore in the tv show were frustrating me to no end.
*Serena is walking perfection who can do no wrong
*Blair is an uptight bitch who can do no right
*Nate is a fucking arsehole who is stoned 99% of the time
*Dan is creepy as fuck
*Jenny is a royal bitch in the making
*Vanessa is pretty cool but her obsession with Dan made me dislike her
the only positive characters were Aaron and Erik who were reaallyy cool and I wish the book versions were translated on screen because tv show Erik was frustrating and whiny and Aaron never even made an appearance!

I will stick to rewatching the tv show- won't be continuing with the series

I personally love the Gossip Girl books because they’re short, sweet and full of drama and outrageous events that keeps me hooked. This one did not disappoint. They are as addicting as junk food and they are so fun to read. The whole relationship between Nate and Serena is clearly not a very good one and if I’m honest I think it’s time Dan and Serena called it quits too. If you have seen the show as well (I saw the show before starting the books) it’s cool to see the similarities and differences between them in the characters and plot. I think that these books are just something that I can just binge-read and if that’s the type of book that you’re looking for these are great. Though a lot of it is just catty drama, the book also focuses on some very real issues that many girls often feel in everyday life that can be very pressing. Serena steals the spotlight from Blair constantly, though she doesn’t mean to. Blair is constantly overlooked and put second to her, so the jealousy that she feels makes a lot of sense. Then there is her mom’s new boyfriend and I can understand exactly how she feels, since my mom was remarried and it can take some adjustment. On top of all that is the pressure to get into a good college. Overall I just love the mix of real, emotional issues and the petty drama that keeps you wanting more.

The second book of the Gossip Girl series is just like the first one, with the addition of the chunk of information that it had to come from the first book and be inserted in the first chapters of this one.

The story is pretty enjoyable, with no real format of beginning and ending (god those endings!!), but a guilty pleasure nevertheless. For, its purpose, this book does the trick of being light, easy to read, and something you can't put down.

I don't like most of the characters because they're annoying, judgemental and frustrating but this series is so addictive. It's the only thing that is helping me with my slump even though I'm not really enjoying it 😂. I started off liking this more than the first one but it quickly went downhill for me. If I liked more of the characters maybe I would be enjoying this series more even though the plot isn't great either. However I will be reading book 3 because these books are really addictive. RTC.
My thoughts on the characters and story
Characters
Serena: She's fine because I don't really like or dislike her. However I don't see why she is the main character because she is not a interesting character.
Blair: I still don't like her. She's so mean and judgemental. However I'm glad that there was finally an explanation for her eating disorder, which she has because she feels like that is the only thing she can control.
Dan: He started to creep me out in this book with his stalkerish behavior towards Serena. However their relationship ends in this book.
Jenny: I don't like her anymore. All she wants is to be known as Nate's girlfriend and to be part the rich world.
Nate: I don't like him. He's a serial cheater and I don't why he has continued to stay with Blair (they do however finally break up in this book). The show actually gets him a valid reason to stay with her (his father wants him to stay with Blair so that he can get the rights to her mother's company).
Vanessa: I don't really any have feelings about her. She's like just there for me.
Chuck: He wasn't in much of this book but I assume that's still a disgusting pervert.
The story
It's pretty much the same as the one in the first one, with everyone having relationship and friendship drama. I didn't really enjoy it like book 1. However I will be reading book 3 soon because they're so addictive and they're the only books I can read right now because I'm in a slump and they require no brainpower.

I read this so I could continue to badmouth these books knowing what exactly the problems with them are. You know, with the amount of (cigarette) smoking in these books, especially indoors, these books could not take place now. But then there's Gossip Girl on the internet, but not all the characters appear to have or properly use their cell phones. The time period is a bit bizarre. And the characters are insane. Everyone sort of has the same collection of problems. I don't recommend these books to anyone.

hahaha these are TERRIBLE- the character writing is inconsistent, there's hardly any plot, Gossip Girl is more like Yelp for stuff that is obvious and not a secret like in the show - but you know I'm going to read them all!!

Lifestyles of the rich and shameless should be full of partying and good times, but Serena, Blair, Nate, and the not so rich Dan, Jenny, and Vanessa are anything but. Sure, good times are had, but drama is the main course on the menu. Dan is stalkerishly in love with Serena, while she’s just looking for some friends. Nate and Blair are growing further apart with every passing minute as Nate’s eye begins to wander to…Jenny? And Vanessa is still hopelessly in love with the ever unaware Dan. Someone gets married, more than a few someone’s may have blown their chance at their dream schools, and some may just be moving on to bigger and better things.

You Know You Love Me picks up right where the first Gossip Girl left off and it is just as drama-filled and insane as the first. The characters each began to develop so much more in this installment and Dan shows his true stalker colors. Out of all the characters, I like his the least. The poetic, sensitive, depressed artsy thing he has going just does not work. I still kind of love Serena though. She’s just as captivating as ever. Nate is still a stoner, but is getting a little more depth with his new thing for Jenny. As for Blair, well, I can’t say that I particularly love her character, but I do feel sympathy for her. Or maybe I just pity her. The Gossip Girl series is definitely a guilty pleasure for me. It’s not the best written series or thought-provoking and original, but it is completely engrossing. I read You Know You Love Me in one sitting because I just couldn’t find a good place to stop and put it down.

Opening line: Welcome to New York City’s Upper East Side, where my friends and I all live in huge, fabulous apartments and go to exclusive private schools.

Favorite line: (This is in reference to a dog) “I had to leave him at home, but he’d definitely want to hump your leg in that dress.”

I honestly don't know what I'm doing anymore. Like, these books aren't good (nor remotely close to that), and still I sort of need to keep reading. What for? I don't know either. Its shallow, selfish, vapid characters hold little interest for me. And the narrative style isn't any better, truth be told. As I said in my not-really-a-review of the previous book, this is just a trashy read. Nothing more.

Well. That's a book I read. Picking up right where Gossip Girl left off, this book is just as drama-filled and inane as the first. Poorly written with poorly crafted characters who are all flat tropes of things we despise about ourselves and others. I was hoping for something more well-rounded like the TV show (which still is trashy, but an addictive kind of trashy).

I'm out.

i despise how serena always get whatever she wants without working hard. it's so unfair for blair, who is more deserving. it's so annoying how serena plays the victim when blair's reasons are valid lol AND NATE??? i hope blair doesn't end up with this piece of shit. i like how blair didn't chase after nate when she find out about another cheating issue. i just want blair to win :(((

1.5 ✰
