Great book series overall. The ending seemed a bit too easy to me. Things just seemed to fall in place much too easy for what these people would have been going through, in my opinion. Plus there were a lot of typos in this last book that were very distracting as you read it. One example is supposed to be an emotional scene and instead of using the correct word "crowd" they used "crowded" in the line "The crowded waited in silence.". That kind of error ruined the feeling of that moment in the story. There were several of these throughout the book that added up enough to really take away from what you were reading. Lastly, some of the dialogue felt fake or not fitting with reality of the situation the characters found themselves in. It kind of fits with my feelings on the easy ness the story ended with. Having been in the military for 20 years I know how we talk and again the situation these characters were in and how they were talking didn't seem to fit with what was going on at the time of the book. Maybe I'm just nitpicking on a few things here, but those were my first thoughts on having just finished the book. Overall, I really enjoyed the series, but the ending wasn't up to par with the rest. Still a great story and highly recommended.
Wow I couldn’t put any of these books down. I bought the next one as soon as I was finished with the other. I almost went into a panic when finished with the 9th book my iPhone wouldn’t let me purchase the tenth one. I had to go to my kindle and bought it there. I wish it wasn’t finished. I wished that I could listen to the Lord like it was portrayed in this series. Maybe it’s hard times and being made to listen for the voice that can give direction healing safety inspiration and encouragement. I can’t wait to get started on another like this. Thank you Chris Stewart.
I loved this series. I was disappointed in four things. 1.) Mary and Kelly Beth. Did Mary ever find missionaries with little black tags to help her with her questions during the rebuilding of society. 2.) What became of Ammon and Luke. 3.) Sam and Azadeh. I know this story wasn't a romance novel but Stewart could have at least threw us a bone about how they came to act on their feelings. And did Azadeh ever get her $12 million dollars. 4.) what happened to the child King of Saud? Was he growing up in America for now?
All in all, the series was great. Recommend this read.

I give this last installment 3.5 stars. I got the impression from the author that he was in a hurry to end the series. It started out really well, then as the end of the book approached, it seemed like he was tired if writing it and just wanted it to end. He wrapped everything up but left out a lot of details in the process.
Enjoyed the series as it came out each month. Easy to read and made me think "could this happen in America?" Loved the main characters and where the author took each person and they grew into stronger faith filled people.
This is the final episode in this series of ebooks, and is a great conclusion to the story. I highly recommend this entire series of ebooks by Chris Stewart. Great writing and a great modern story of good vs evil.
I loved the series (best to read all episodes one right after the other). It is also scary in that all this could actually happen with what is going on in the country and world today.
This series is a must read, especially for those on the fence with their own faith and family. Even more powerful followed parallel with the Audible series. Highly Recommended.
I truly loved this series. It's a combination of Frank Peretti and Brad Thor. Great redeeming story line. Each book in the series is short enough to be a quick read while keeping your interest.
