Life is full of lofty goals. Everyone has them. I am sure you are working hard to achieve one right now.

I like to try to keep things simple. Setting myself up for failure has never been all that appealing. That being said, my goals for today do seem a little out of left field. Even for me.

1) Find a way to reconnect with my mate
2) Find a way to punish the one that broke the bond (i.e. kill the jerk)
3) Learn how to potty train a puppy and at the same time get him to stop catching the curtains on fire
4) Get someone to tell me the missing link to my genome

And of course…

5) Find a way to bring down the Grand Collective

I don’t think any of them can be done overnight, especially the one about the puppy. I mean that little rascal is something straight from hell. Literally.

This is book three in the Nyx Slaughter series. It is a companion book to the second book and picks up right where the second book left off.

I have always had a passion for the written word. Along with that, I've always had ideas for stories swimming around in my head. It finally got to the point where I couldn’t take it anymore and had to start getting my thoughts down on paper. There are still too many ideas, but I am working to get them out as fast as I can. My hope is that one day my brain will be mine again.

Other hobbies of mine include: drawing, baking, arts and crafts, motorcycles, hockey and archery. I like to think I have eclectic tastes where my hobbies are concerned. I love to laugh and try to make myself smile at least once a day. With the crazy thoughts going on in my head that usually isn't hard.

Night Bites (Nyx Slaughter #3)

I received a free copy, in exchange for a review.

Nyx, once again, is in over her head, kind of. One of her connections, to her soul mate has been severed. But it's easy to fix...kind of. Then, she wants to kill the person who did this to her...so many reasons behind that issue. Third, she received a hellhound, yes, a hellhound, that will eventually grow three heads, but loves her so much. Finally, needs to find out the missing piece to her genetic makeup. Pretty easy, right?

'I pick up the little guy and he immediately licks my face. I guess that means he likes me. His breathe reeks of sulfur. How exciting for me. I wonder if he will like breath mints.

"Nope, off you go. I will stop in soon to see how you two are getting along. Sometimes the baby pups have difficulty adjusting to their new environments."

When the environment is filled with bigger dogs, I can imagine there is going to be a lot o issues with this development. It is too bad the little guy is so cute. I might have been able to say no, I bet Ben trained him to give me those sad puppy dog eyes.

Just looking down at them again, I am afraid this pup already has be wrapped around his little finger, or paw in this case.'

I absolutely love this series! It is so light hearted and funny. I love the introduction of the hellhound and just got the 4th installment. Do not miss this series, since it is one of the best I've read in awhile!

The story takes place a day after the events in Book 2, "Night Marks", continuing straight on from the previous book. We find out how Nyx got rescued and that the bond between Nyx and Sebastian has been severed. Nyx must find a way to restore it, with a little help from an unlikely source.

A new character is introduced in the form of Clyde, a Hell Hound who is a gift to Nyx from Ben. It seems an innocent enough gesture, but what are Ben's hidden motives?

Phee makes another appearance, as does Sam, a Collective agent who was captured in the previous book. Nyx spends time training both of them and sparks fly in more ways than one.

Nyx takes on a new case involving Kent Newhouse, the sheriff of Ghost Town, a town you can't find unless you really need to. In other words, a safe haven in which to hide from the Collective. This case involves solving a series of bizarre murders taking place in Ghost Town. We meet Alan there and learn a little more about Nyx's heritage. It looks like there's more to our girl than just vampires and werewolves.

This is my favorite book in the series so far, with a fascinatingly creepy mystery to solve and the introduction of the adorable Clyde, who brings out a whole new side of Nyx. Can't wait for the next installment, "Night Howls".

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review (LoP).

The story continues for Nyx Slaughter and her two mates, Sebastian and Alex. Even more problems arise as they struggle to find solutions and get used to this odd relationship they all find themselves in.

This book is on par with the second one in terms of emotional connection and such. It's a little hard to connect with Nyx, all of her angst makes you feel a little put off. But being inside her mind is amusing and seeing how she thinks.

I do think this story is a great addition to the series and I wonder how the new arising problems will be solved.

I believe this series could be absolutely fantastic with a little more editing, but give it a try for yourself and see what you think!

I received this book for free in exchange for my honest review.

This book didn't end with quite the cliffhanger book 2 did, which I am ok with since I don't have book 4, lol. I know I am being selfish, but I am enjoying this series and the life of Nyx! It is a good storyline, and not predictable. There were parts in the book where I thought I knew who the bad person was and ended up being wrong. I am hooked and will absolutely continue following this series.

My only complaint is how short the books are. If I was just perusing trying to find somehting new to read, I wouldn't pay the price for such a short story. Personally I think the author should combine the first 3 books into 1 book.

I loved this book just as much as I loved the first two books in the series! Book three picks off right where book two left off and had just as much non-stop, intense action & suspense to it as the first book did! I love this series and I can't wait to read the next book to come!! I highly recommend reading this series!

WOW.....

This story started off with a bang, after Nyx was kidnapped everyone started acting crazy, Sebby would not leave her side and her wolf mate would not come close to her.
But she has new cases and new family members to keep things interesting.
Only one bad point for me was her mouth, we know that she is the queen of bad, lets keep the four letter words down a little please.

I am looking forward to the next book to find out what happen next !!!

The story continues from book 2 where Nyx has been kidnapped and Sebastian's all clingy after their bond is severed which drives Nyx crazy so they're all out to try to get their weird relationship back together. We get to see a few new characters one of which is Clyde the Hellhound, love him.

Quite a few twists and turns I didn't see coming, I am really enjoying this series and think it keeps getting better I am definitely hooked and can't wait to see what happens next!!!

Oh my Goodness!! I really, really need a Clyde!!!

This is a really good addition to the series and I think it really helps with the development of both the characters and their relationships with each other.

I did find Sebby's reaction a little over the top but Nyx keeps him under control with her usual brand of subtlety!

These books keep you turning the pages, and as the series has progressed it has become easier and easier to connect with the characters. READ THEM!!

I was so caught up in this book I finished it in one night. In this third book, I enjoyed getting to know the characters further and seeing how their relationships change. There were several twists that I had not seen coming, and I LOVE the newest character Clyde! Cannot wait to see what come next!
