I secretly hope Patti Roberts never ever stops writing. Her imagination is unequalled.Flawless in every way, the writing is exceptional." Ella Medler.

10*s. I received an eARC copy of this book in return for an honest review. First off, I have to say that I am proud to be the person to read this remarkable book and post the very first review. WOW....that's what I have to start off by saying. This author has done it again. She has me addicted to this series hook, line, and sinker. I absolutely LOVE the characters and what they bring to the story. I am still having trouble picking out my favorite characters, but it sure kept my interest from beginning to end. I enjoyed this book so much, I hadn't realized when I finished the book. This author really has a way of capturing her readers and keeping us entertained. The emotional roller coaster bomb of humor, sadness, and magic makes this series one to remember for a long time to come!!! This fabulously written fast paced story is a RECOMMENDED READ for anyone who loves a wicked town full of magic that will entertain you and make you want to re-read this story over and over again!! Thank you, Patti Roberts, for another incredible story of Witchwood Estate!!!!
Book 3 "Cursed" had me in a full blown panic. I started book 3 immediately after finishing book 2. I am SO glad I had it available to read. I had so fallen in love with book 1 and then was lucky to have book 2 and 3 ready for me back to back. I devoured book 2 straight through and read book 3 almost straight through also. BUT I fell asleep. It was about 330am. I thought I had a few chapters left. The next day when I finished book 3, I was sad to find I had 3 pages left. I startled my son and husband yelling NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO very loudly when I reached the end of the book as I was once again left wanting so much more.
Author Patti Roberts has sucked me so far into her world that I may never come back out. I am a huge reader. I read everything. This series has a special spark to it. It has the Harvey's witch family that dates back for generations, with powerful magic both dark and light. There is the shape shifting wolf family that has been around as long as the Harvey family. The mystery of how Alexandria's parents were murdered. The whole town of Ferntree Falls is cloaked in darkness, mystery, murder, secrets and the unknown. Alexandria is back and ready to unlock it all and get to the bottom of everything. She has no clue what she has come back to from a run down house that used to be the epitome of gorgeousness, to new friends that she thought might be her mortal enemies and so many people that could be dark or light. I am so excited to see how all of this plays out in book 4. With each book, we learn so much. we are introduced to new characters, new places and more history is unlocked. Such a page turner!!!!
Yes these are TV series sized books but the reader knows this prior to buying the books. If you are expecting full length novels, these books are not for you! They are short but packed full of story line worthy of full length novels and worth every penny!!!
As always with each instalment of The Witch wood Estate series, Patti Always leaves us wanting more. The books are short in length as in any TV series, but filled with action, evil, adventure, mystery, and an even a little sparkly flare of romance brewing.
In this instalment we meet new characters, which I have to say I eagerly await for more of. Find out the cliff-hanger from book two and breathe a sigh of Relief.
I love the world of the Paranormal and Patti gives us a smorgasbord in this instalment. I love the new characters she had added into this series, and is curious as to which direction she will take us.
The only thing I can complain about is that we are always left wanting more. But like any TV series we are left eagerly awaiting the next instalment, making conclusions and thoughts of our own as to which way the story will take us. I have to say the new hotties that Patti has added into *Cursed* , have me curious and maybe even a little starry eyed. Im a sucker for a man with fur and fangs ;) lol.
Witch wood estate - is a truly unique series filled with an abundant tale of witches, potions and magic chants and also mysteries within. Patti brings this fantastic and imaginative story to life at every page.
The added extras at the end of each series is a wonderful addition to anyone interested in learning more about the witchy ways, crystals, herbs and much more.
Cursed is part three of the Witchwood Estate series, and it’s just as entrancing as the first two.
I have to admit that I was a tiny bit sceptical about reading a book as you would watch a serial on TV, but it works. Each ‘episode’ is a short read in itself, but the books are well-priced and the storyline engrossing.
There was a gap of several weeks between books, but even so, I found I could easily pick up where I left off. The author’s ability to create a world rich enough and characters deep enough to stay with you is a talent not many have. As a reader, I am grateful for that. This is a series I know I can follow, and I certainly enjoyed losing myself in it.
Besides the beautiful storytelling voice, Patti Roberts has added a visual aspect in the recipe sheet from the witches’ spell book, and also a good selection of bonus material, relevant to the story – from the list of characters to the witchcraft terminology and meanings of birthstones, crystals, candles, animal symbols… You name it, it’s in there. Very interesting.
I wholeheartedly recommend Witchwood Estate – all three books have exceeded my expectations. Beautifully written, this series is suitable for all ages. It would certainly make a smooth-flowing TV serial aimed at a younger adult audience. I’m a fan! I want to read more. Easily 5 out of 5 stars.
Rec'd this book from the author Patti Roberts. Thank you very much. I have to say first that this is part of a series. And the first two books were Spell binding and left me under a spell. With this Book 3 "Cursed" we still see the same OMG whats next's!!! sitting on your seat bitting your nails reading. I could not put this book down till I had finished it. Now I am at a lost waiting for the next chapter of Alexandra life to come out. The story begins with Kat killing her friend Alex to save her life. And from there it just gets more complicated. You meet a new person Bran and somehow he might have something to do with her family or maybe not. Have figured that out yet. Now, as the story goes there are wolves in the family. Or are there?? I Recommend that you get this book. You never know whats right around the corner, or who is gonna come up out of the wood work. Genius!! Genius truly Genius!!! Everything is so believable!!! A rating of 30 stars....... How long till the next book????
Patti Roberts has taken me to Witchwood Estate. Her writing is descriptive, eloquent and very believable. I'm not going to be a spoiler. This installment of the Witchwood Estate Series was fantastic...I wish it didnt leave me hanging because I hate waiting. Some authors leave you hanging and you can say "Ok well I'll read something else and get back to this later" Not With these books. I want more and have to put it down and think about it the rest of the day. That being said, I read this in TWO DAYS because I couldnt put it down!! Her characters are all very believable and well thought out. While reading I could close my eyes and see EXACTLY what she was describing. Also, her research and accuracy is AMAZING. I highly recommend this series, especially if you want to be taken on a journey. I could easily see this becoming a great TV series that could rival the likes of Vampire Diaries, Beauty & the Beast, etc!!
I had Going Home, the first book in this series on my TBR list for awhile and I am so glad I finally picked it up and started reading. I read Ferntree Falls, the second book in the series right after the first I just couldn't put the story down.I am so glad that I only had to wait one day to start Cursed. I was given an ARC Ecopy. I stopped everything I was doing and dove right in.
Like the first two books in the series Cursed grabbed me from page one and I couldn't put it down. The story is wonderfully written and the story is fantastic. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the characters! Everyone of them has their own way of make you want to read this book cover to cover.
The only problem with this book is that it's way to short. I got so attached to the characters and involved with the story that in the end all I wanted was more.
If you haven't started The Witchwood Estate series yet you should it's a wonderful story by an amazing author!
Wow, Once I started this book i could not put it down, i had to know what happen next. We get to learn more about Kat and River. We get to see how close Alexandria, River and Kat and Andrew on how really close they are. There is a new guy in town name Bran wondering what his deal is, i guess we will find out soon. I couldn't wait to read this book, i can't believe it took me this long to finally finish it.Patti has always left us wanting to read more and I can't wait to read book 4. Every time i kept reading it got more interesting, and I could not put it down. If you haven't read this awesome series you need to!! Patti is an Awesome writer and author and person who i am so thankful and bless to be friends with she means everything to me. Check out her awesome books you will love them, and won't be able to put them down because you will want to read more.
ok so the first book had you getting to know Alexandria and Andrew on their journey to witchwood estate all while keeping you from wanting to put the book down. the second book lets you get to know more characters that come into play such as Kat and River as well as still following Alexandria and all the while keeping you still hooked in the stories. now we get to this book the 3rd book and we get to see how close Alexandria, River, Kat, and Andrew start getting while introducing Bran i am so hooked on these characters and this story that i can't wait to be able to read book 4. i am sure that if you haven't read any of the books yet, that if you picked them up they would be an enjoyment for a lot of you. i highly recommend these books to everyone and i can't wait to be able to read book 4
I am really enjoying this series. I can NOT wait for book 4.. In each episode we get to meet more interesting people. As well as more of the story unfolding. Patti definitely knows how to keep you interested. I am still not sure what roles some of the characters will fall into- friend or foe? Will Alexandria be able to flourish here? Or will she end up with the same fate as her parents? Will she find love? Or is danger lurking around every corner? And although they are a shorter read I think part of it is that you can't put it down. I am curious to see how the story grows, as well as the character's. Witches and Ghosts, and Wolves OH my!!
In book 2 Ferntree Falls, Alexandria goes back home to Witchwood Estate.. She has been gone for 12 years. Her parents were murdered in their home. In book 3 Cursed, she arrives to Witchwood Estate but was almost murdered herself by Vera. She then meets Kat Abbot and River Lancaster as well as her in-between friend Andrew, will she be protected from any harm from all witches good and bad with her new friends? Can't wait to read book 4
Witchwood Estates-Cursed . I couldnt put it down. Everytime i turned the page it got more and more interesting to read. There witches, ghosts, sprites, wolves and other. The ending came too soon . I can not wait for the next book to come out ... I give this book 5/5 stars .
This short story series MUST be read in order. The first book is Witchwood Estate-Going Home. The second book is Witchwood Estate-Ferntree Falls. This is the third book.
This book begins to explain some of the mysteries surrounding the death of Alexandria's parents and the curse on Andrew. Kat becomes a more major character assuming the role of Alexandria's best friend and River is finally known to Alexandria as something other than a white wolf. The mysteries only deepen as time goes on. Will they ever figure out how to uncurse Andrew? Will Kat and Alexandria fight over River? Will the mystery of Alexandria's parents' murder ever be solved? What happened to River's mother? And who is Bram .... Is he part of the problem or the solution?
I have not been able to put this series down since I started it! I am flat out addicted to the mystery and fun. Most series would hit low points but this one never does :) Just when you think you know what's happening the word shifts and you are completely perplexed again... It's awesome! The fantasy isn't even trying too hard ... It is just an every day thing for the characters which lends an extra layer of realism to the books. I will be starting the next book Timeless as soon as I am done with my review!!!
***This series is suitable for mature young adult through adult readers who enjoy a bit of a fractured fairytale vibe in their modern paranormal small town fantasy action adventure coming of age suspense mystery thrillers with plenty of intrigue and romance as well as a dash or two of horror :)
From the moment I have started this series I have really enjoyed it. I can't wait till figure out everything. The storyline throughout the series is incrediable and stays in tact throughout the series. I really enjoy the characters and how they grow. In this one the author introduces some more characters in the series. You learn a lot about Kat in this one. You also read about River and Bran in this one and get to understand more about them. I look forward to learning about these two guys. In this one Kat uses magic to bring Alexandra back from the death. Once you start reading one you can't put this down. I recommend this story to anyone that enjoys a great read.
Another instalment in the Witchwood Estate saga and the quality is maintained. I can see this series going on and on for years, like the Wheel of Time series, and having the same kind of devoted following. It's got something for everyone, truly. The delightfully wicked Clamenza is my personal favourite. Roberts excels above all at her villains, and Clamenza is a wonderfully high camp villain in the tradition of Ming the Merciless and Cruella DeVil. Cannot wait to get my hands on more of this wonderful series.
I'm completely addicted to this series.. Patti Roberts has an amazing ability to capture the the moment in amazing details and leave You wanting more! I just love these characters and can't wait to find out what happens next.. Amazing series that is suitable for the young as well as the young at heart..
Arc provided by author I need to start with a caveat. When I agreed to review these books I didn't realise they were an ongoing series, of short novellas rather than a traditional type of series, and that's something I never read, although I love traditional series. Still, I started with book one on Saturday and quickly became engrossed in the world of Witchwood. The description covers the storyline that's going to be revealed over a series of books, and each are a reasonably priced quick read. As I said its not how I prefer to read, but I'm a quick reader, I've friends who only have limited time to read and I'm sure they'd enjoy this type of book. It's certainly worked for womens magazines for many years, I can recall my mothers ones serialising books back in the sixties so though its new to e-books the format certainly works. Its a beautifully descriptive book, full of evocative mystery and mood setting. I really feel as if I'm one with whatever scene Patti sets. I do feel its aimed at the Young Adult market and that's a genre I only dip into occasionally, but this is so well written that it will appeal to older readers too looking for something a bit different. I enjoyed the characters, there are a lot of them and I did find it difficult remembering just who was who, and where they fit in the tale but then for an ongoing series we need lots of people to carry the story and keep it interesting. The basic plot is laid out but its early in the series so far, and though I've an idea where the story is going its very open as to what adventures are going to be revealed, and what sort of magic and mystical creatures it will contain. What's incredibly useful is the info at the end of the book on the witches calender, the herbs used in spells, crystals and their meanings, animal symbols and a host of other interesting details that will help the reader follow what promises to be a complex series.
Even though I don't usually read books in this format I found the world and people Patti has created to be engrossing, and the writing style is just perfect for the story that's slowly being revealed. Its like drawing back a curtain to expose another world, each glimpse tantalises and seduces the reader into wanting more. Alexandria is the perfect heroine for this tale, she has a blend of innocence, combined with intelligence and a strong sense of morality. With the evil I feel is coming she will need to be able to draw on all her strengths to do the right thing.
Overall even though its not my preferred type of reading I can see how this series will appeal to young adults and others who have limited time for reading. Its an exciting story broken down into easily read bite sized instalments. Though my star rating is a three and a half-only because of my personal reading preferences, I can see that for the right reader this will be a five star series.
Again this story was entertaining and keeps you interested. The length is just too short. Reader's would enjoy this series but each book just ends awkwardly. You get so little information from each book it will take about 10 just to equal a regular length novel. If it wasn't well written with creative characters and plot lines, I would have stopped because of the length and frustration of having to get the sequel having read the first two back to back in a couple hours. I have been given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Please read my reviews for the previous "episodes" in this series. I guarantee you will not want to miss any. If this was a tv show I would be DVR'ing and watching over and over. In this third installment we meet more important characters in Alexandria's life and learn a little more about her parents' demise. The mysterious white wolf becomes a friend but like everyone else, retains his biggest secrets. Witchwood becomes more populated. The series gets better and better.
Part 3 is just as good as the first 2. Alexandria is bought back from the dead by Kat...... just. Except Kat nearly does when Alexandria mistakenly accused her off trying to kill her. This is a well told mini series
