Kelly isn’t worried about the three weeks she can’t remember after a minor car accident -- until two months later when she discovers that she is pregnant.
Obviously she had sex, although she can’t remember it now. But the important question is: who is the father?
Forgotten Honeymoon is a sweet, quirky, contemporary romance
Happily-ever-after is my drug of choice. Not that I won’t read or watch a sad story (now and then), but I crave happy endings. I love Jane Austen, Cinderella stories, and 1930s screwball comedies. (Think An AFFAIR TO REMEMBER or WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING). Since real life has a way of being tough enough, I write sweet, quirky contemporary romances to take the edge off.
What you will find in my stories:
1. Sweet quirky romance.
2. Very little swearing. There may be an occasional hell or damn, maybe even a b*tch, but there will be no Lord’s name in vain and no f-bombs.
3. No explicit sex scenes. Characters might discuss sex, but any love scenes are off screen (Think AFRICAN QUEEN).
Cute and fairly well written. And "clean," in the sense that there are no descriptions of sex. But there's a lot of talk about it, in part because the story basically hinges on it. In a way, it's a cute concept, but I somehow still couldn't shake the feeling that it was kind of creepy too. A girl gets married spontaneously to someone she's known a while, gets pregnant, then gets into a car crash and has amnesia and can't remember any of it. Maybe it is just me, but, yeah, just a shade creepy.

This felt like a Harlequin romance with none of the sex or cussing. Which is to say it felt very contrived with an endless string of misunderstandings caused by a lack of communication dragging out the threadbare plot, all knotted together by incredibly plot convenient amnesia . For a 163 page story this felt like it dragged on much, much longer.
However, the writing itself was really pretty decent and flowed in an easy to read manner. I just have to assume that this is a case of a book being very much not for me. If you happen to like clean romance with lots of angst and characters that take awhile to warm up to their feelings, then this may be a entertaining afternoon read for you.
While the premise is unlikely, it's an intriguing idea, and the story is told plausibly enough to get into the story.
There's a lot of miscommunication, which is frustrating, but it fits what we know about the characters so it's not there as blatantly manufactured plot drama. And it wraps up well with a satisfying happily-ever-after.
Clean romance level: passionate kissing and some sex occurs between the married couple but without graphic descriptions (ie I wouldn't recommend it to my teenage daughter as I consider it adult fare, but I wouldn't be upset or concerned if I found out that she had read it)
I though I try this ebook when it was on sale because the main character had a case of amensia and didnt remember how she got pregnant. I thought the story line sounded entertaining and I did really enjoy this ebook. I actually didnt have high hopes for this book and was very surprised by how good it ended up being.
Shorty, novella-sized book. The LOCA friend from *The M Word* shows up in this book, but they are stand-alone. This was a better book to me, because the heroine isn't b.s. crazy. I liked the premise and loved the hero. Beverly Farr is great for a "pick-me-up" and delivers with *Forgotten Honeymoon*
I liked it, I especially liked that it had an original premise. The story starts with Kelly waking up in the hospital after a car accident. She soon learns that she has amnesia and has no memory of the last three weeks. Fast forward two months and Kelly discovers she is pregnant. She is shocked since she is a virgin and has no memory of how she became pregnant. I thought this was an interesting plot, not one I’ve read before.
Kelly was okay. I didn’t always think her reactions to situations seemed realistic. She was fickle. I thought her post-amnesia feelings for Nigel and Lars flipped too quickly. I guess Lars had been a close friend for a long time, but she’d never thought of him as anything else. I thought Lars was a little TOO serious, borderline workaholic. I get opposites attracting, but I still think you have to have some things in common, and I’m not sure if they had anything in common (besides a physical attraction). I think they’ll end up driving each other nuts in the long run. Hopefully they’ll learn some good communication skills along the way.
I was confused with a couple of Kelly's memories.
Overall, I liked it. I thought it could have been a little deeper and I would have tweaked some things, but it was a nice diversion.
For me a 5 star read is a book I cant put down. And this was one of them. the book was short enough that I finished it in 1 sitting but I know i would be very annoyed if I had to pause midway. Lovely story, well paced, well written. The lost memory is not very hard to guess so there's not much suspense (for me ) but I enjoyed the romance. the heroine was all over the place so it was a little annoying but then again I know people who are exactly like her so she was very believable to me. The hero also wasn't that impressionable except that he was crazy about her and didnt want to lose her. together, I think they were so different, they worked well.
I re-read this as part of my goal to review my old reads. That is literally the only reason I read it because it isn't a pleasant read. I don't understand how it's a romance when Lars and Kelly are at odds the entire book and then just get a happy ending. It isn't enjoyable to me. But also there are literally no consequences for anything that happens in this book. Her ex cheated on her, attempted to rape her, and blackmail the couple and nothing happens. One of Kelly's closest childhood friends is the one he cheated with, but Kelly still talks to her, goes to her birtgday party and helps her career and thd only thing she says about it is that they deserve each other. There's barely any emotion. It's the kind of book where the characters don't act like actual people. I did not enjoy it at all.
I couldn't imagine being in a car wreck and forgetting three weeks of my life. Especially when things are going on that just doesn't make sense. Kelly wonders why she had called her wedding off but decides that she will go on and marry him anyway. Things seem to be going ok until she finds out that she is pregnant and it turns out that she was a virgin before she lost her memory and her finance tells her that the baby doesn't belong to him. She just doesn't understand what happened.
I love this story and I had to read it when I saw the cover and read the blurb. I really want to write more but don't want to give anything away. I can't wait to read more by this author. She sure knows how to write a very exciting story.
Kelly was in an accident and ends up with short term amnesia. She silly starts to remember pieces of the lost time. What happen between her and Nigel? Why is Lars acting different? I like the premise and the author did a good job executing the story. I would of liked a little more at the end, especially about the baby. Maybe we will get more info in Brenda's story.
love the story... :) at first, I was confused.... The emotions of both the leading characters are like a roller coaster ride... "he loves me, he loves me not" "she loves me, she loves me not.." Finished the book in a span of 8 hours (PROUD) hahaha... overall...the story is cute... I really have a strong feeling that Lars is so cute..and hot.. :)
Again I loved it! The premise is quite entertaining and the characters are full of interesting thoughts. I really love the author! Always clean and sweet!
