Old earth has been deemed unsuitable for life, New Earth is home. With the Uni-Wars over, races have joined together in order to sustain their way of life. All life was considered worth saving, but only one race failed to submit. Humans.
Now extinct, humans are a thing of the past. The people of New Earth won’t acknowledge their hand in their eradication, but they have benefited from it. Dr. Vaggo Blackmore has found the answer, he’s restored his races way of life- sustenance through farming. The one thing that will give them back their long lives….. Blood, human blood.
Biologically engineered in a lab, Genesis Blackmore has always been different. Her father has told her it’s due to her enhancements, the Federated Council sees her as a genetic mutation; and her fellow peers see her as the shiny new toy. Gen has had better days.
Everyone on New Earth has milky white skin, platinum blonde hair, and electric blue eyes. It’s the norm. Genesis’ glossy, black hair, ice blue eyes ringed by gold, would have almost made her socially acceptable- if it wasn’t for her golden skin and blue, gold veins. In a sea of milky white she alone is the dark anomaly.
All Pars get their life’s nourishment through blood plasma. All Pars find their match through the tasting. Gen can do neither, forbidden by her father to do so. She can neither taste, nor be tasted. Something that’s never bothered her until now.
BIO USA Today Bestselling Author, Tigris Eden loves reading and writing. One of Tigris’ fondest memories, was in the sixth grade, when her teacher read her story, “The Case of The Missing Pepperoni”, out loud to the class. It was then she decided she wanted to be a writer when she grew up. But like all childhood dreams, reality has a way of crashing in and disrupting plans. But her imagination and the voices inside her head never stopped talking. Every dream she could remember was jotted down in her dream journals.
When she’s not writing Tigris marvel’s at life’s gifts. She likes to take pictures of beautiful things. She openly admits that what she may find beautiful another person might not, and she’s perfectly okay with that. She enjoys her music and doesn’t leave home without it. Long pillow conversations with LL about nonsensical things, and hanging out with her boys, when they deem her “cool enough.”
Tigris is a military brat who’s done her fair share of travelling, thanks to her Army father. She’s married to the infamous LL and has three boys. She currently resides in Houston and is actively seeking a book-buddy for the end of the world.

This was a wildly imaginative tale that takes you well beyond the realm of reality and into the world of possibilities. The author develops her vivid world in a vibrant manner. The story itself started out somewhat slow while giving the audience a great deal of background information on this world and its inhabitants as well as their customs. Eden ensures that you understand where everything is coming from. At the same time, she works an air of mystery and intrigue into the story.
The characters in this tale were pretty much in 2 groups. Those who played a major role in the story were well developed. You got to know who they were, if not necessarily much about their past. The rest of the cast remained primarily names on paper.
Overall, this story definitely introduces the reader to Eden’s new series, acquainting them with the intricacies of the world. I am quite intrigued as to where the story goes from here & to see who ends up with whom.
Please note that I received this novel free of charge from the author in exchange for an honest review.
*Since I did the re-editing on this work, I cannot speak of any errors I may have or may not have found*
The Genesis Project is one of my favorite books by Tigris Eden. Since I was first handed an ARC before it's original release. The story follows Genesis Blackmore, Xander Treegold, and Adam Reynard. Genesis is special. She's different from the rest of her father's people. She's strived her whole life trying to find a way to help her father with Project Harvest.
This book truly shows the array of emotions we feel, especially the ones we have no names for. I truly enjoyed the twists and turns this book took. Things the reader expects to happen don't and the unexpected prevails everywhere.
Story: The story is set in the future, in a world where humans are extinct and vampires rule the world. Genesis is an outsider as she is a biologically engeneered in a lab. A project to give the source of human blood back to the vampires. After she is grown up she has fulfilled her destiny of adding answers to science and wants to live a normal life, so she starts school and pretends to be one of the vampires. But she looks very different from them. Black hair to their white hair, golden skin to their pale whiteness. So she is an outsider from the beginning. Genesis finds herself highly attracted to two of the vampires.
Characters Genesis is quite boring and naive, I never cared much for her, the two heroes seem far too „invented“ to me. Sexiness Sex and arousal seems to play a big part in this novel, but it never became „sexy“ to me. There was no subtle build-up, it was all just there at full level. The way her levels of arousal were described was a bit ridiculous and made me laugh out loud a few times. Ok, she is this super sensitive being and gets excited by simple touches but the way her... flooding wetness is described again and again was downright comical.
Errors It wasn't mentioned in my copy that it was an uncorrected ARC but due to the number of errors (one out of many: „made her feel more at easy and relaxed“) I assume/ hope it must be. Wrong words, words used the wrong way. Shocking grammar, it is all in there.
Worldbuilding The idea the story is based on is really amazing, I really liked it. A whole new vampire definition. Very inventive. But the story itself couldn't keep up at all. It is just a „girl between two guys“-story with some background, that had great potential to me but felt like it was simply added to create some side story. I do think the author tried to build a fascinating world, but It was too complex for the amount of page time that was actually dedicated to that part of the story in my eyes.
Overall: This was originally a short story that was blown up to novel length, although it still feels quite short.
Far too often you stumble over little bits like the heroine describing that a certain class is her favorite class because a certain guy is NOT in it, one sentence further she explains that he is in ONE of her other classes. By that logic she should have other „favorite classes“ next to the one she is talking about or other reasons for having this particular fav class. It is no big thing but it lets me stop reading and wonder for a bit. And there are quite a few of these not quite logic bits. Some explanations are redundant, it feels like the author had forgotten, she already explained something in detail before. The idea was really good but it felt stuck between a „real“ novel and a short story to me. You can see what the author is going for and it could have turned out great, but the outcome is a weird, unfocused, unintentionally funny story. Edit: It was brought to my attention by the publisher that there is a corrected version out there (and will be for sale) and I assume that I received an uncorrected version.
I have to admit that for around 25% of the book I was struggling, really struggling with the premise of the story and how the characters and the world were introduced. My other half was peering over my shoulder reading patches of the story and laughing and asking what on earth was I reading. I have to admit that I was starting to wonder the same thing when all of a sudden it just seemed to click into place.
Genesis is a genetically created human though for all the others around her she has to be seen as being the same race as them, essentially a vampire but the book explains what their race is better than I would be able to. Her 'father' has to send her off to what essentially equates as school for their kind and she is escorted there by Adam. One touching eachother they feel a spark however he has already matched with another for political reasons. Whilst there she meets another guy called Xander as well as makes some friends.
But when the project that her 'father' has been working on her world as she knows it will never be the same again and with the one who supposedly cares for her seems to be using her book 2 is set to be an interesting read.
The characters take a while to connect with and the characters interactions with eachother can be confusing, one minute they are talking the next they aren't, one minute she likes him the next she doesn't! This can be frustrating but trust the author that this will eventually make sense!!!
This is different to her Shaddow Unit novels and in my opinion nowhere near as good. However still worth a look as yet another different take on vampires.
Please note I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I got this book from the author, free of cost, in exchange of an honest review from my side.
Firstly I would like to thank the author for giving me this opportunity of reading and reviewing this book.
I liked the story very much. The concept seemed new to me and the execution is also great. I liked Genesis and the author portrayed her comfortableness perfectly. Being the 'Odd Man Out' her whole life Genesis has adopted quite well with her father's instruction and the behavior of the others but now she needs answers and time has come to unravel the mystery.
I liked the pace of the story though the descriptive part at the beginning seemed to be a little dragged on. The characters are developed but I would have enjoyed a little more information about their past and the side characters got completely neglected by the author which dimmed my excitement a little.
Over all a good read that surely sets the plot for the next book and introduced the readers to the new world. I liked the detailed writing of the author and the descriptions were pretty easy to grasp as well. I would recommend this read to the sci-fi fans. Enjoy!!!
I truly enjoyed this story in RT and now as a stand alone. Eden sets the stage for a great new series! More Gen! More Xander and More ADAM! Creativity at its finest with some super sexy scenes!

Publisher Description: Biologically engineered in a lab, Genesis Blackmore has always been different. Her father has told her it’s due to her enhancements, the Federated Council sees her as a genetic mutation; and her fellow peers see her as the shiny new toy. Gen has had better days.
Review: Cover art is not that bad. You can see this faint network of blue veins.
Gen was born and raised in a laboratory. She is an amalgam of genetic parts that make up a perfect whole. She can heal herself and has augmented senses and physicality. She is sent to the academy in order to avoid any discernment about her origins that would lead to her death. She goes from daddy’s lab specimen/daughter straight into the academy and that’s where most of the story takes place.
Right out of the gate the author plays the race card. …”Vyrkolakas had been shunned for their darker skin tone…” yada , yada. This has no relevance to the story-line whatsoever. All the dracs in the northern hemisphere (Pars) are “milky white with platinum hair”. We have the constant use of word crutches in the form of “growled” that seems to rear its head with indie authors.
I really had a hard time getting through this novel. Every other page is Gen with an erotic reaction to her male surroundings or inadvertent contact sends her into paroxysm’s of physical arousal. Her thighs are either clenching or flooding with wetness. Her breasts tingle or the heat from his skin sears her flesh. Or “her body is melting evidence of the moisture leaking between her legs”. And “the inside of her thighs slick with moisture”. Her “flooding wetness” or some derivative is described over and over and over until you just give up giving a shjt. Absurdity reaches new heights when “her thoughts lead south and rested right between her legs. Moisture pooled in her undergarment. Saturated the cloth until she could feel a slight chill.” Fug.
The story-line is rushed, and because it is rushed, becomes stilted in its presentation. The characters are poorly developed. The only thing we know about Xander is that he is a pussy hound who walks around, literally, with an erection for Gen. Gen doesn’t give a crap about all the societal interactions going on around her, but spends page upon page of internal dialogue trying to sort out her feelings that run a fleeting second to the wetness in her thighs. Everyone at this academy walks around with this myopic view of themselves, with no sense of the life that surrounds them. Its all ” She was a different spice everyone wanted to taste…a bold flavor spilling onto his tongue that drove him mad…..rotate his hips in such a way they’d both moan in pleasure…..there were few galaxies his cock hadn’t conquered…sunk his balls deep into her waiting heat.. it was time to teach her a lesson….I must have her”. Double fug.
So Gen is human and Par?? She was made to help the Par survive…what exactly? Is she sending out pheromones that signal mating readiness???. The novel could have followed a story line where Gen is a genetic construct that can utilize these innate gifts against the Par while re-creating the humanity that was lost. Build interesting characters that display intelligence, veracity and cunning….not sex addled idiots. You can have that sexual tension as a tool without demeaning them in the process. Sometimes subtle inter-play is more effective than overt desire. This over the top Nora Roberts School of Writing (NRSOW) novella is an epic fail. It is basically poorly crafted porn.
The first book in the New Earth series is an intriguing futuristic vampire read with unique elements.
Humans are now extinct and the people of New Earth won’t acknowledge their hand in their eradication. Dr. Vaggo Blackmore is going to give his people back their long lives with… blood, human blood. Genesis Blackmore was genetically engineered in a lab and her father told her that the Federated Council sees her as a genetic mutation. She is a dark anomaly in sea of milky white skin, platinum blond hair and electric blue eyes. All Pars get their nourishment through blood plasma and find their match through tasting, forbidden by her father, Genesis can do neither and that’s never bothered her until now.
The plot starts out a little slow but quickly picks up momentum as the story progresses. There is lots of information given in the beginning that is vital to understanding this futuristic tale and while it may be a little slow paced and can be a little overwhelming at first it is very intriguing. The author engages the reader with vivid descriptions and intense detail that brings each scene to life and captures the imagination.
The compelling characters grab the reader’s attentions and are easily related to. Genesis is the main character the author gives her a personality that kind of sticks out from the others making sure the reader can easily empathize the heroine and totally gets totally caught up in her story. She has a couple of love interests but is torn by her upbringing and what her father has always told her and the sex scenes are hot and steamy.
The author has created a very intriguing futuristic fantasy world with different kind of vampires. I found the story to be riveting and entertaining and I feel that it has lots of potential for the future books in the series, but I must warn you the story does not have a happy ever after ending but Genesis’ story is far from over.
(I received a free copy of this book from INscribe Digital Publishing, through NetGalley, in exchange for a review).
(This review may contain spoilers).
The cover of this book and the blurb really attracted me, but I did struggle a bit with the plot itself.
The author, in this book, created a world that was really interesting and intriguing - but I felt that there was a bit too much info-dumping going on.
Despite her name, Genesis, at first, came across as quite an interesting character. Until she went to the Academy and became little more than a sex object.
The problem with having a character so completely unique is that you then run the risk of that character becoming a Mary Sue. Genesis was right up against the line, but the fact that she at least tried to have a life outside of 'boys, boys, boys' was what saved her.
Love triangles are rarely done well. Xander and Adam would have been much more interesting characters if the forced-romance aspects had been taken out. Genesis' attraction to them was literally based on their appearance, rather than getting to know them - and that just didn't resonate with me.
I was going to give this book two stars, but it did really pick up towards the end. The writing sucked me in with the final scenes and that's what makes me interested enough to find out what's going to happen to Genesis next.
Oh, I’m intrigued! I really enjoyed this book. The beginning is filled with a lot of information that kinda bogs down the story a bit. There is a lot of back-story and information to be shared about the world the characters live in, and at times I was confused by it all. But it does eventually pick up and I’m happy I kept reading. About halfway through, I couldn’t put it down! Genesis is a very strong character, and the author wrote her in such a manner that she will continue to grow and become even stronger. I can’t wait to see the things that Genesis will work through and discover. I also really enjoyed the other two main characters: Xander and Adam. I will say though, that I’m kinda Team Xander! He’s a sweetie, underneath it all – I’m convinced! As a general rule I don’t enjoy love triangles, but the uncertainty with these characters is exciting and I’m enjoying the tension. The book had a few minor editing issues, but it did not take away from the story at all. I’m very excited to read the next installment of this series, because that ending just wasn’t fair!
There is the background of what could be a really good vampire story if it was explained more.
I didn't realize from the few page sample I got via Nook that it was more an erotic romance novella than more of an an action or horror based story. And that is not a genre that really appeals to me regardless of story.
There are also typos, lots of typos. As someone who doesn't always have the best editing and grammar skills I should probably shut up. But as a reader, it is distracting at best and at worst feels like reading first draft Internet fan fiction (not that there is anything wrong with fanfic)
I still went with three stars because as I said earlier I was interested in the vampire back story.
So I will start by saying that Sci-Fi is not my favorite genre. For me, I get confused by all of the different species names, planets, solar systems, etc. I have read and loved previous books by Tigris Eden, so I wanted to read this one as well. Once I got past all of my issues, I really started enjoying the story. All I can say is poor Gen! She is so new to society and emotions in general that she isn't prepared for the things that happen to her. There was a big twist (for me anyway) at the end that has me anxiously awaiting the next book! It does end in somewhat of a cliff-hanger.
Very disappointed. I have a feeling that I read an old copy and not the new edited copy. I found it in one of my digital public libraries and got excited cause I love Tigris Eden. The concept was fantastic but the execution was horrible. Very repetitive. Scenes that suddenly jump in the middle of paragraphs. Editing and typo mistakes. Grammatical errors. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is for her imagination. That was spot on.
OMG so aggravating but I want more! I love sci-fi and I love the paranormal aspect of the book. it almost seemed like a young adult mainly because of the naiveity of Gen. I didn't like Xander and I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop.
