I bought this book of quotations published in 1993 as a supplement and update to a 1955 Bartlett's that had been on my family's shelves before I was born. One of the quotes on the back was a selling point--a charmer from Charles M. Schultz of Charlie Brown fame:

Jogging is very beneficial. It's good for your legs and feet. It's also very good for the ground. It makes it feel needed.

There are over 6,500 quotations arranged thematically from "Ability and Achievement" to "Youth." I suppose given it's almost 2014 I should be looking for a new book of quotations--and perhaps chuck both this and Bartlett's--but not yet.

Published 1993. An excellent collection, well-categorized with many categories.

I own this book. It's been one of my favorites, a great source for me, especially before the Internet became a common source.
