Scarlett Jade is just a small town girl with big dreams who loves to write. She has always been found from a young age with her brow furrowed, scribbling words on paper or her nose in a book. Now that she is grown, life isn't much different, she still scribbles words, but mostly on the computer, and her nose is permanently glued to e-books! She is married to the man of her dreams, her real life knight in shining armor and Prince Charming and has one son who is the apple of her eye. You can typically find her playing in the dirt with her son, toying with her indoor vegetable garden, or snuggled on the couch with her dog Peanut Butter and cat Jelly, reading a good book. She loves chocolate, thinks coffee should be a religion, and loves to make people laugh with her quirky sense of humor. She is bold, brazen, and even been told she's ballsy, but she doesn't mind, she takes it in stride. She has a huge passion for all things paranormal and spicy love stories that leave you turning the pages and dying to slide between the sheets of the next book!

Okay, so this book started out with our heroine Camille being trapped in her own head with severe depression from watching her parents die 6 months ago in a car crash. In her head is her "Counseling Angel" Casey.
They meet up in her dreams for a while with him having the job of getting her back on track with life. Blah blah blah...they fall in love and have sex in her dreams.
Of course, this is against the rules and Casey is called to meet with Jesus. He's all like " Casey you dummy, you broke the rules"....and from there it turns into a story about Casey, his dead sister, his dead mom and Jesus. All helping Casey come to terms. I mean, it's literally 40-50% of book torment on Casey (and the reader) to read this absurd stuff. I don't see how this is even in romance. It's just weird for him to be all talking to God and needing to forgive his dead mother who sold him as a sex slave at like age 8 (who's a Grandma Angel to all the children - gag)
This was just so unforgivably corny and strange and weird and strange and...weird....I just had to stop reading. I don't even care how it ended. It's just freaking weird.

I didn’t know how I was going to feel about this book because in the blurb it mentioned GOD and that can be a touchy subject, but it wasn’t at all how I thought it would be. I’m happy about that.

Camille recently lost her parents in a tragic accident, which she was apart of and saw her parents die. Months later she has isolated herself from all her friends and stays to herself in a dark depression. The only time she feels alive is when she dreams of a beautiful dark haired man that slowly helps her through her grief. For Camille, the dreams are so real and at the same time she thinks maybe it is all in her head and she could be slowly going insane.

Casey lived a hard life and his life ended brutally. Now an Angel, he is seeking redemption for his ways as a human. One of his task is to help Camille come out of her depression and help her get past the grief of losing her parents so suddenly and live her life the way her parents would want her to. However, Casey is having a hard time keeping Camille from occupying his every thought. One rule is that he, as an Angel cannot fall in love with a human. Doing so will cause trouble with the big man upstairs.

“…Even if it hurts a little, isn’t that what love is? Hurting someone but apologizing profusely in the most beautiful of ways?”

Reading this book, I my heart clenched for Camille. I can’t imagine losing my parents at all, and she lost her parents in a horrible accident. I can understand why she would isolate herself from the world after losing the only two people that really loved her and whom she really loved. Losing someone you love dearly is never easy. I know from losing loved ones myself. I loved that Casey started coming to her in only her dreams and subconscious and consciously Camille was starting to come out of her depression with small tiny baby steps. Then she explained being able to feel his presence by his smell, or feel heat or coolness when he would reach out and touch her instead of actually feeling his touch. She would even be able to hear him and he would encourage her to take a much-needed step to separate herself from the grief. The two had a strong connection and didn’t understand why, but eventually all the pieces came into place and secrets and past were revealed.

I just found myself gasping and saying “holy shit” when pieces of information about both Camille, Casey, Casey’s sister and Camille’s parents where brought forth. Gave me the warm feeling that EVERY REALLY DOES HAPPEN FOR A REASON.

“Eyes a man could get totally lost in…and he didn’t have a map to get out.”

The way the Scarlett Jade paints the imagery of how Angels live and what there specific duties are was delightful. What I found interesting is how the Angels in her story are intertwined into ones everyday life without the person having a clue because we aren’t really looking. Plus depending on what kind of Angel you were (in the story) certain people could or couldn’t them, or if that said Angel even still looks like their former self. I really enjoyed that aspect of the story. Even the scenes with GOD were nice to read.

This book makes you have faith in why things happen in life and why they don’t but in the end you are never given more than you can handle; that soul mates can exist and that there could be someone out there that was made especially for you. I’m a hopeless romantic so I already somewhat believe in such things.

I even cried a little at the end.

Camille hits some hard times after her parents die. She set for cash but she's missing a piece of herself she's afraid she won't recover. She falls into a state of depression; rarely leaving the house to interact with anyone else. There is only one thing that makes her days worth it, a beautiful dream staring a gorgeous stranger...
Casey was assigned to helped Camille out after the tragic event. He meets her at night through her dreams and talks with her about, pretty much everything. But there are a few complications- one, he is an angel, and two, angels aren't suppose to fall for their clients. He has a chance to redeem himself and live again as a human on earth if he can do his job without any hitches for seven years. Now Camille is testing his ability to follow those rules with her brilliant smile.
He wants her. He wants to help her. He wants to live again. Both he can't have it all. So which will he choose, a life again or a love with Camille?

This book was hard to put down; I think I finished it in a few hours. Scarlett works hard to bring out the struggles of her character's past and how they grow from it. There is so much detail into them that you cannot help but to fall head first in love on the very first page.

The plotline was phenomenal and the twists, though mostly subtle, were captivating and exciting! It's almost hard to talk about this without giving any spoilers. So far it looks like a stand alone but I'm kind of curious to see if the other side characters get their own story.

Anywho, Scarlett Jade is now one of my favorite authors. I have loved every one of her books and eagerly look forward to reading more by her in the future!

So. I love Scarlett Jade. I have watched her from afar on FB, as we are both authors. This was my first opportunity to read any of her work, when she had a freebie day on Amazon. With that being said, I am sad to have to review it as only two stars.

I think that, had she had a very diligent editor/beta reader, this could have been miles ahead. What she has here is very promising, but it's only skin and bones (to me). Had I been the beta, I would have pushed for more descriptions, more varied language-- not just "she did this, she did that, she said this, he said that"-- but actually SHOWING the reader what is happening, what they are feeling, without having to flat out, baldly state it. That's the art form of writing. Getting the point across with a look, a touch, a sound, a smell.

There were some errors that would not have been picked up by spellcheck alone, like the misuse of slang phrases-- ones that people say all the time, but rarely ever see in print. Things that should have been caught by an editor.

I think, had I the opportunity, I would have pushed her farther than she went with this book as it is right now.

I think with the right people, and with her ambition, she can do so much better than this, and I believe one day she will.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

The story was not believable even for a paranormal romance. The worrying was styled & too formal,"we are going to the store", or "you are sure you want to". It didn't flow or feel realistic. Most people don't speak exact perfect grammatical English exclusively. Also, it couldn't make up its mind whether it was a religious book preaching forgiveness, an erotic novel or a book on the horrors of child abuse. The jump from prescribed to erotic scenes was weird & off putting. Every obstacle that came up had an immediate and easy fix. You didn't feel the pain & struggle of the characters. They really weren't developed very well. I would not read a sequel.

Definitely a 4 star book. I really enjoyed reading this. I think everyone wishes they had a guardian angel. I found it amazing how they found one another and fell in love. I liked how he was her friend when she needed him as a child and that they fell in love as adults even though neither remembered him being there when she was young. I found it humorous that God listened to his sister when she was playing matchmaker. I loved the wedding vows they spoke to one another, they made me weepy just like good vows should.

I never read the blurb on this book, just jumped into the book headfirst. It was unknown to me that it contained anything to the religious effect. I'm not real big on "preachy" books or really care to read a whole lot about, nothing wrong with that, just not my style. That being said, I loved this book! It wasn't too religious, wasn't about sermons or trying to convert or anything to that effect. It was about forgiveness, and being forgiven and moving on from past mistakes.

The story starts off with Camille, who was home visiting her parents from college for Christmas when they get into an accident. Her parents do not make it, but she does, somehow miraculously walking away with only minor scrapes and bruises. The book then goes into what life after losing her parents is like. She falls into a deep depression, losing all her friends, if you could call them that; she doesn't go out unless necessary, and even pigs wouldn't want to live in her pigsty of an apartment.
The only thing keeping her going is her dreams. They are so real and lifelike, she's not sure if she's going crazy or what.

In these dreams, there's Casey. He's the main focal point, the reason for her being. Casey lived a very rough life. Drugs, sex, abuse, you name it, he's experienced it. Because of these events and this lifestyle, he died very young. He is now an angel, working as a grief counselor in a sense and seeking redemption. He is assigned Camille from the point of her parents death, to try and cope and to move forward with her life. I can't imagine the pain and anger, the grief that she is experiencing. My heart truly ached for her.

“Eyes a man could get totally lost in…and he didn’t have a map to get out.”

There were numerous points in the book, where my mouth dropped open and all I could say was, "wow". the pieces just fell together when it came to the characters and their involvements in each others lives. Casey, Camille, and even Casey's sister. It makes you wonder about the saying - "Everything happens for a reason"

"Even if it hurts a little, isn’t that what love is? Hurting someone but apologizing profusely in the most beautiful of ways?”

The way Scarlett Jade describes the feelings and emotions amongst the characters is amazing. You can actually visualize them, feel their pain, their love. Most people have a certain viewpoint on Angels, and God. But this isn't the case with this book. Ms. Jade paints them as almost ordinary people, with actual "jobs" to help us as humans. Only we don't know it, cause we aren't looking for them. I loved the ending of this book, because it was a happy ending. In the end, they waited on one another, made it through the struggles and were right back in each others arms, even though it took a little time. This book was truly amazing.

Now, for a few down points. There were a few places in the book where I had trouble following along. In a sense, to me, it was choppy. It jumped back and forth between viewpoints, and I found myself going back to make sure I didn't miss anything somewhere. If that were a little more streamlined, and maybe another go around of editing in a few places, this book would definitely be 5 stars! I of course would definitely recommend this book, it is a great overall read!

Personal thoughts about this book below !

I thought that this was a very sweet story about a young woman named Camille, who recently lost both her parents in a horrible car accident, then gains an Angel named Casey to watch over and make sure she overcomes her grief. He comes to her in her dreams where they both fall in love. Only it's not his job to become personally involved with his work; he wants her to be able to heal on her own and not to have to use him as a crutch.

I love Camille's attitude thru out the whole book, especially when she visits her psychiatrist, which actually, I would have acted the same way. She was trying to tell her about her progress she's making, but all the Dr. wanted to do was shove drugs down her throat. So, she left, and continued on with her day by going to the mall to buy herself some clothes. Since the accident happened 6 months ago, she's pretty much become a hermit. Her house is a wreck with a Christmas tree still up in the living room, piles of laundry all over the place, and the poor things diet is so bad she's lost about 30 lbs.

Upon entering the mall and going to a clothing store, she befriends a woman who works there named Sarah, and this girl is exactly what Cami needs to break her out of her funk. She picks out some stellar outfits for her to try on, and after she decides which ones she wants to purchase they go have lunch together. They decide to go out later so Sarah takes her to a poetry slam at a local coffeehouse. Sexy Angel Casey makes a cameo there to coax Cami into relaxing to new surroundings, and even gets her to go up on stage to relieve some stress . The scene, that Cami and Casey have together there..... was very sweet and hot. I liked how the author set it up so that when Casey did present himself to Cami while she was awake, she couldn't feel him, just a warming sensation. That was pretty neat, and I couldn't wait for her to actually feel HIM.

Going further into the story you get Casey's back story, how he died, and.... a deal he has going on with “The Big Man”. He also learns things haven't always been what they seemed to be. I guess what I'm trying to say without spoiling too much, is that I thought it was clever how she set certain people up with their “roles” that they had since the beginning and how it all played out. :)

This story has a deep underlying meaning to it, that I hope everyone gets. To forgive others that have wronged you, because Ms. Jade is right. If you don't, how else will you put everything behind you and move on with your life? I enjoyed it very much ! :)

This book was really good, it killed me emotionally. Camille Taylor is a young woman who lost her parents 6 mos prior to a car accident. She was the only one who got to walk away. She had been in the beginning stages of grief for the last 6mos. Not wanting to move on with life.

Casey Phillips is a grief angel. He comes to people who are grieving and helps them to move on with life.  He was assigned to Camille. He came to her at night in her dreams.

After working together for 6mos, they fell in love. Casey was breaking all of Gods rules just to be with Cami. After getting intimate with her in a dream,  God calls on Casey to see whats going on.

Casey goes to God and was given two choices,  both are extremely hard and taxing on him. God left him on the waiting bridge to work out his demons.

God approaches Camille and explained it all to her,  making her see the heartbreak that was Caseys human life. She finds out he was sold into prostitution at 8yrs old.  He became a gang banger and started selling drugs. His sister Sarah was also sold into prostitution as a child. She was killed by a "John", choked during sex. Casey killed him. So as Camille sees all this she becomes heartbroken for Casey and all he went through. Realizing what she needed to do,  Camille went to Casey on the waiting bridge and said Goodbye so he could finish his time with God and be human again.

Casey wakes and has 3 more tests to go through before he gets his humanity.

His first key is to sit and watch Camille's life to date.  Watching her as a kid she kept talking to a Casey, but impossible if he never meet her until six months ago. Turns out time moved slower in Heaven then on Earth.  What he thought was 7yrs was really 30yrs. Hes been with Cami her entire life. They were meant for each other.

The second key was to forgive his mom. The third was to meet with Cami's parent's.

So does he forgive his mom? Does he become human again? Does Cami ever go through all the stages of grief?

All these questions are answered when you read the book. This book will make you laugh and cry. It even gave me goosebumps. It's a phenomenal story that will keep you interested from the first paragraph to the last!

I can honestly tell you that I chose to read this book for the cover. Well wasn't I surprised to find that this book was a story about an Angel...see I don't usually read books with Angels so I wasn't sure how this was going to turn out for me. I must tell you I was pleasantly surprised.

Camille has not dealt with the grief of losing her parents very well and unbenounced to her she has been having sexual fantasies involving her grief angel Casey Philipps. Casey's mission is to help Camille heal so that she can move on with her life but he is torn between his feelings for her and healing her. He knows that he is overstepping all boundaries when it comes to Cami but he cannot help himself. The pull between the characters was compelling. The depth of their love for one another and their sacrifices they made for one another were selfless. I truly felt for the characters as they chose to make decisions that hurt themselves but set the other free.

Casey while being an angel must right some wrongs in his own past before being able move on to the next phase of his being. Forgiveness.....Having experienced abuse, drugs and violence while living Casey is unsure if he can grant the one thing he must. I liked
the authors ability to blend the characters between their mortal and spiritual beings. I mean who knows there may just be some angels roaming among us.

As I stated earlier this in not my usual genre of book but I did not find the story to be too religious, which was a plus for me as many people have their own beliefs. The story for me was all about second chances.

I received a copy of this story from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Beautiful Downfall was not what I was expecting - at all. With a uniquely interesting take on Angels, life and love. It was a beautifully written story with depth and a great epilogue.

The story begins in a dream, where we meet Camille and Casey. Told from both of their POV's, it was nice to know what both of them where thinking and feeling as the story progressed. Camille is the wonderfully sad and compelling heroine who has been thru something so horrible, most people would succumb to the nervous breakdown. But with the help of Casey, her deliciously wonderful guardian angel, and some other wonderfully awesome characters, she starts to pull herself up by her bootstraps and get on with her life.

Along the way we learn more about both of them and their parents. Plus we get to meet Cami's new bestie Sarah, who is completely awesome by the way. Everyone should have a friend like Sarah. It would be really cool if she got her own story.

The steamy scenes are definitely sexy while staying very romantic. The chemistry was oh so very sweet with zero to no edge just a nicely sweet relationship. I couldn't help but root for them to get their HEA.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes the Paranormal Romance genre or if you are just looking for your next romance read. It's beautifully done and there is no cliff-hanger.

I really really liked Beautiful Downfall. It was different, very well written, and like another author I love to read (I’m looking at you Tina Pollick), made me feel a tad uncomfortable because of my own beliefs mixing with what the author wrote. (It’s a good thing for me.) :) That’s the only similarity. They have completely different writing styles and I love both.

Poor Camille. Losing both of your parents at once. I don’t know if I could survive that and I completely got her spiraling down. There was a lot of emotion pouring out of her and Scarlett did a beautiful job writing that character.

The premise of falling in love with an angel or spirit is something I have actually thought about it, so I love how she wrote that angle. I believe that there is so much more out there than what our human eyes can see, what if you could see what some people couldn’t see and you had a guardian angel, one who protected you, I could see falling in love with them.

This is how my mind works.

Casey – another soul that I felt for. He had his own past to deal with and I can’t imagine going through what he did. Trying not to give out spoilers here.

Even with those deeper situations going on, there was a lot of fun in the book, some characters that you couldn’t help but smile at, and some light hearted banter back and forth that balanced the book out well.

It was a beautiful story, fast paced (250 pages), even with the sad parts, and just fun to read.

Thank you Scarlett for the copy that I won. It was a great read! I’m looking forward to September Tango.

This is not the first book by Scarlett Jade that I have written so I knew it would be great!

Camille's life is turned upside down on the way home from college for Christmas break. Her father is driving and there is a terrible accident in which both of her parents are killed. She suffers watching them die and she suffers afterward from guilt that she survived the accident. Left totally alone she spirals down into deep depression.

The only thing that has kept her going is a young man that appears in her dreams nightly. Is he an Angel or a figment of her depression? Whatever he is he helps her and guides her back into life. Then one day he is gone.

One of the reasons that I love reading so much is because I can travel to different parts of the world or different times in history. I learn so much from the writer's perspective and it makes me think deeper or opens my eyes to new experiences.

Reading this book; one out of pure enjoyment and two, it has given me something different to think about when it comes to life after death. I cried out of happiness for Camille and Casey, but I also cried about what happens after death. Scarlett's thoughts were very positive for me. I really loved this book, one I may read again before I start another book. Thank you for this new point of view!

Krystle and I will be doing a combined review for this story shortly! Be sure to stop by our facebook page and blog to see what we gush about!

Here are some personal thoughts

This is a sweet tale of a girl who has lost everything and the only comfort she has to get through the day is knowing that when she sleeps for the night, her dream man will make his return as he does every night. Her days consist of therapy sessions and mopping around keeping to herself as she lives frugally off her parents life insurance.

She just does not have the will to get better. And though she can feel her dream man during the day, she believes it just comes with the craziness that consumes her after the loss of her parents. Little does she know, this man in her dreams is a special sort of Angel, there to help her overcome the stages of grief.

To become a Guardian Angel, he must prove himself by his tasks. It doesn’t help that he does the one thing that goes against everything the code stands for. He falls in love with this broken hearted beauty.

After a series of events and Casey being approached by the Higher being, they conclude they must do what is best for each other, using their love as a sacrifice to ensure they live the best they can without any more heartbreak. Read to find out what concludes of their love. Exciting stuff!

Wow, just from the very first paragraph I was hooked! It was so powerful and descriptive that it drew me in like a bee to nectar. The description of the accident was so well written that I felt like I had lost my own parents. While the religious/ heaven elements weren’t something I normally like (different beliefs than the author- nothing wrong with that), the author was able to write it in a way that even swayed me. The characters were all incredibly loveable in their own ways; Camille is a beautiful young woman with a heart that needs healing, Casey is a bad-ass angel who needed his own kind of healing, and Sarah was bubbly and happy; the perfect fix to both of their problems. It was easy to lose my heart for each of the characters, because they were all easy to love. In fact, I loved them so much that I couldn’t put it down; I HAD to know what the outcome was and couldn’t go to sleep until I did. I was even a little disappointed when I read the last sentence; I was dying for more and I hope the author continues this series. But, even if she doesn’t, I will continue to read her books, because I am adding her to my all-time favorite authors list.

Have you ever wondered if you have a guardian angel?

Camille does. She witnessed her parents death and ever since then has not been the same. She's lost all her friends and refuses to come out of her house except to go to therapy. In her dreams she keeps seeing the most amazing man and finds that she doesn't want to live without him.

Even when she starts to live her life again, she doesn't want to have to let him go.

Casey is an angel working for redemption. He didn't live his life the way he should have and now is trying to make up for it by helping people like Camille. But, the more time he spends with Camille the less he wants to leave her, even though he knows he has to.

When both parties don't want to let go...what happens? How will this affect Casey's redemption?

Scarlett Jade is an amazing author and catches the attention of the reader from the very beginning. She writes in such a way that makes it hard to put it down. Each book (that I've read) has some of the most incredible love stories that overcome everything that is thrown at them. She is definitely an author worth checking out if you haven't already.

Camille is a 21 year old girl who is at a stand-still in life after the death of her parents in a tragic car accident. In her dreams she is on a beach with Casey, a beautiful man who always tries to convince her to move forward with her life and not waste it. She is so incredibly attracted to him but his visits are becoming less frequent but then she starts to take his advice & he comes to her during the day. So their chemistry, even if he is an angel from her dreams, is incredibly hot and the book starts out with so much promise! Then Casey is punished for breaking the rules & getting physical & wanting more with Cami. Casey finds he can reunite with Cami, for real, in person, if he finishes his path of forgiveness. Casey's mother threw him and his sister out on the street to sell their bodies for her drug money. Casey joined a gang & had a very rough life until he was shot, thus becoming an angel. So some of the book was really interesting. But Casey's conversations with "God" are very strange & the life of an angel is also odd. The writing is terrible as well.

For the past six months Camille Taylor has had an angel from heaven, by the name of Casey, to help her deal with the grief of losing her parents in a terrible car crash. In the short amount if time they spend together they fall hopelessly in love with one another. Casey knows that he can't ever act on his feelings due to the rules of his job. Camille realizes it's crazy to be in love with the man in her dreams. They make the decision to give into the feelings they have for one another.

A well written love story that shows that a lot of love and a tremendous amount of faith to overcome the many obstacles put in their way. A true love story with just the right amount of mischievous fun to entertain.

I hung onto every word page after page to find out what was going to happen. I cried, laughed and rooted for through out the whole book. Scarlett has a wonderful way with words, she has a way of pulling you in and not letting go until the end. I look forward to reading more from this author.

An angel from heaven has watched over Camille for the past six months. He meets her in her dreams to help her cope with the crushing loss of her parents. In just six months, they have both fallen helplessly in love with the one person they cannot have. Camille knows it's "crazy" to be in love with a man from her dreams. Casey knows it's against the laws of heaven to love his client. Together, they tempt fate to reach for the passion, the love, and the dream they want to make come true.

This is a wonderful, well-written story of love and faith, with a bit of steamy naughtiness thrown in for fun.

I laughed and I cried. I cheered and I hung on with nervous tension to see what would happen next. All I can say is, "More, More, More!" Ms. Jade is a magical storyteller who is able to weave a spell over her readers, suspending "reality" and allowing our fantasy to take flight. Thank GOD, I already have September Tango and can start that one tonight.

I have read several books with angels and this was a totally unique and refreshing take on them. I liked the story line and all the twists and turns throughout which gave the story depth.

Camille and Casey were really great characters. They each had their own issues to work through but also helped each other (sometimes indirectly). Camille is shy and struggles to get through each day. Casey is sweet but also the hot brooding type. I also really enjoyed Sarah. She cracked me up and she was a great friend to Camille.

I haven’t really read any books where the prospective is constantly jumping back and forth within a scene. I did struggle with this at first but I quickly adapted. It actually was nice to see a lot of the book through both Camille and Casey’s eyes.

This was a really sweet love story and I truly enjoyed it. If you are looking for something not too heavy in the drama department, then you should give it a try. I’m giving it a 4 out of 5. Great job!

A lovely paranormal romance, Beautiful Downfall is the sort of book to make you feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.

Camille has a lot of demons to fight after events in her life leave her depressed, and Casey, too, has to work through his problems.

The storyline is essentially a classic soulmates love story, with points of interest brought about by twists in the fates of the two protagonists, and some secondary characters, as well.

Talking of characters, they are very well-written. I especially enjoyed Sarah’s personality, and even Boo, the cat, is given its time to shine. Their voices are natural and dialogues are flowing. Interactions are exactly as expected, with the brother-sister banter spot on, and the intimate scenes between Casey and Cami just hot enough.

It was an enjoyable read, written in an easy style, well worth 4 stars. Recommended.

I loved this book, it was so different from every other love story. Camille has been having "dreams" about a mysterious guy since her parents died in an auto accident. She finally finds out his name is Casey and he is an angel to help her get through her depression from losing her parents. What she doesn't realize it that Casey has always been in her life and so have other angels (her parents included). Casey and Camille need to fight to stay together after God tests them.
You find out that Casey had a terrible life when he was human and it gives you hope that you can overcome anything that is placed in front of you, and you can become a better person because of it. Great book!! Loved it!!

This was a book chosen for me by a book club I joined. I have never read a book by Scarlett Jade before this, but WOW! I loved this story. It was written beautifully. I felt every emotion of the characters and felt I really got to know them. This book captured me from page 1 and I couldn't put the book down.

You Have Camille who has suffered a horrible tragedy, losing her parents in a traumatic car accident, leaving her the only survivor. She is all alone except for, Casey, her Angel sent from Heaven to help her try to cope and get on with her life. He meets her in her dreams to do some "grief counseling" only to find a forbidden love that they can't possibly continue.

I loved the unique twist on the Angel/Human angle. I loved everything about this story. I highly recommend it!

Beautiful Downfall is the touching story of Camille and Casey. When Camille was a child, she and her parents were in a horrific car accident. Her parents didn't survive. To help Camille through her grief, God, or The Big Man (as Casey calls him), sends Casey to her side to help her heal. As the years pass, they fall in love. But what future do you have with an angel? To truly enjoy this book, suspend what you think you know and just go with it!

My only criticism with this book is that I feel the ending is rushed a bit. I wish the author had taken her time and expounded on the ending a little. But that's a small drawback on what was otherwise a beautifully touching story.

Six months has passed since the accident that Camille was involved in that unfortunately had taken her parents away from her but she miraculously survived… But how and why?
There has been angel by her side since the accident and he has finally broken the rules to made contact with Camille. But why?
Camille believes that she ready to move on with her life but is she really ready?
I thought the book was an interesting one to read. There could have been more details that could have been used (I do suggest a beta for this to help out…). Overall I would rate the book 3.5 stars.
I received the book from the author for an honest review thank you.

This story is very touching, loosing your parents in such a tragic way must be hard. love how the author try to help us understand her pain very emotional .Casey is her angel assigned to her to help her with her grief process. I didn't know angels can curse so much I found it funny at times, I will never read about angels and not remember this story. I really enjoy the story but at times I felt there were to many repeats but this didn't take away the essence of the story, overall it was good and something different to read. Looking forward to read more of this author.

I wish I had been a beta reader on this! The grammar issues were a big turn off. I found it slacking in so many ways. It was extremely preachy. It consisted of telling the main character they have to forgive all the time because god says so. The book was too eccentric and unfortunately something I would not recommend. The author should get some beta readers who enjoy reading for reviews or just to check errors. She wouldn't have even have to pay. Many like myself do it and sadly she needed that here.

This is the third book I have read by Scarlett Jade and I love her style. She tells a great story. Beautiful Downfall was a sweet tale of life, love, and second chances. My favorite part of this book was about Casey and the different trials he must endure. Scarlett Jade has opened up a whole new take on Angels and that they just may be walking among us everyday. I really enjoyed reading it and it is written very well!
