Sadie suspects that she won’t have a happy Halloween this year, and with good reason.
As the festivities sweep the islands, it seems not everyone is in the holiday spirit. Darcy, Sadie’s aunt, is calling in all her favors to wreak havoc and there are a lot of people in her debt. When loyalty lines are drawn, who will be on Sadie’s side?
Planning the Halloween banquet can at least give her something positive to focus on, but when a customer dies right in the middle of the café most people lose their appetite. Sadie really has her hands full when people start pointing fingers at her for the death on her property.
Everyone in Hallow Haven is acting strangely, there must be something in the water. Miller asking if he can move in with her is the icing on the cake of a crazy week, and when doubts start to creep in, she wonders if she’s making the right decision.
Revenge has been the flavor of the month for far too long, but Sadie is beginning to worry that she is outnumbered. This spooky season will be all tricks, no treats.
Give Up The Ghost is the ninth book in the Hallow Haven Witch Mysteries series.

Halloween is here and the while town is going nuts on scary Halloween decor. Sadie is wanting to put up nice family oriented decor while everyone else is going for the scare factor. Aunt Darcy is plotting something awful and then someone drops dead in her cafe and its up to her to clear her name . Its a very good book. I love this series!

I just read the entire series over the past few days. This is probably the first series I ever read where I did not like the juvenile antics of the adult characters. Given that I am 78, from my perspective, the women in this series act more like 8th graders than adults. Sigh, so why did I like the series and keep reading them in order to find out what would happen next? I have no idea, but I enjoy a good tale, and in spite of the silliness, I do like these books. Enjoy!
Sadie was exhausted, just trying to get through this day and tomorrow when she could have a day off. She would be hosting an event in the café and needed every minute to get decorations up, a costume, and food prepared. A full moon was occurring so she would need to accommodate her werewolf boyfriend, Miller who was also the Sheriff. They had been using magic to make candy and cupcakes, and everyone looked worn out.
Now Sadie is hoping to relax and have a happy Halloween. But Charlotte, an older woman with a giant slice of pecan pie on the table beside her, clutched her chest and fell off her chair onto the patio outside the cafe. Sadie has to solve the mystery to clear her name since the pie makes it look like she’s a likely suspect. And when Miller’s house is burned down by Aunt Darcy, Sadie invites Miller to move in with her. He doesn’t even have lots of belongings to move since they all burned up. And Fitz, the cat, overhearing her offer to Miller, talked her into letting him move in too since he can’t shift from his cat form and needs a home. Things never slow down in Hallow Haven with the crazy goings on. Grab your copy and see how it all turns out!
Out heroine was looking forward to Halloween, but it is not shaping up the way she would hope. Between scheming family and dead bodies, she has more on her plate than she can handle.
This is book nine of the series, but it works just fine as a standalone.
This is a cozy witch mystery with a very nice tropical setting. Well, I say a nice setting, but there are a lot of murders here, so that does take the shine off of it a bit. The story is well written, easy to read with a heavy dose of mystery and intrigue. The characters are well developed and definitely the star of the show as they bring all the action, mystery and humor to the fore. And they just get better with each new book. The mystery is also a good one with enough twists and turns to keep the reader entertained. Overall, another great entry in the series and I look forward to seeing more.
Highly recommended.

This is a fun, fast paced, exciting cozy mystery that keep me guessing of who the killer is until the end. It's very entertaining, full of mystery, humor and romance.

This series has a great storyline, to bad its like it was written with talk to text and not all of the sentences make complete sense. I don't know why it wasn't edited better, but with the right editing and polishing it could be more amazing than ever! I applaud any author for sharing their work, and putting their story out there for the world. However, I wish that they took more time with having beta readers or editors to point out the mistakes that clearly need fixed. Then making those repairs before putting it out there for the world to read. Keep sharing your work, but please get some volunteers to read it that will honestly tell you where the mistakes are at, so you can fix them before publishing.
Sadie keeps discovering that relationships and magic are challenging and exciting, though not always pleasant. the joy of the return of her parents is mingled with their nightly grillings and sharing sessions
ongoing challenges with her connections to guardians Ryder and Miller continue to cause friction
Darcy is a never ending source of family and islands drama
What forces can Sadie and company muster against great evil?
intense drama and action

Sadie is the one delivering the Breakfast Boxes from the bakery, "The Sand Witch". Coming to the Adult Care facility she finds and up roar about a deceased mans room going on. As Peacekeeper, she is asked to help solve the problem by the Residence Supervisor Rebecca. Instead she invited everyone down to the bakery the next morning for breakfast so the cleaning crew can get in and clean. With Halloween only days away, decorations, rather ghoulish ones are going up. Another death happens while they are out...
This is a great book by one of my favorite authors, I really enjoyed it! Sadie just wants to have a happy Halloween, but that’s easier said than done. Someone dies in the cafe and she has to solve the mystery to clear her name. Miller wants to move in, and Aunt Darcy is up to no good. There are lots of shenanigans going on in Hallow Haven, it’s fast paced and just so much fun! I love this series! Sadie's Halloween couldn't be just a fun night...noooo!...it had to have a murder to solve, a fire that burned Miller's house to the ground and him moving in, and an imposed housemate in Fitz the cat. I live this series and this book brings more of Sadie's wacky life and mysteries that I enjoy profoundly so I could only give it 5 stars.

I love, love, LOVE this series! This time Sadie accidentally stumbles into a murder mystery that no one actually realized was murder! Things get crazy, Darcy is back with her evil plan, people are acting strange, even the ghosts are! But why? This series is a must read! Add it to your list!
Another wonderful book in this awesome series. Each book keeps getting better and better. Really awesome characters. Mara Webb is a amazing author and I highly recommend reading any or all of her wonderful books...

What can I say? It's a great book! Snark, mystery, love, drama, all of it. You learn more and more each time and it sets up several plots for future books. Well worth the read.
If you don't mind grammar like "Me and Ellie went" or "Kate had Ellie and I..." And the used of "on account of", then you will probably enjoy this series
...way too many errors. The author desperately needs a new proofreader. I have to wonder if she slept through her English composition classes. She really needs to check out grammarly.com.
Another quick read. It seems well timed with the storyline, as it's the day after Thanksgiving. Although I think that Halloween had a little too much action for me glad I wasn't there.
If you love stories that keep you reading long into the night, this book is for you. The characters are fantastic. The world building is so well done that you feel like you are on the island. Really enjoyed this book and highly recommend.
These are really cute stories and I am enjoying them but these books desperately need an editor. There way too many instances of incorrect word usage or verb tense. The further I get in the series, the worse it seems to be. I keep reading because I'm enjoying the stories, but it is distracting.
Another great entry in the Hallow Haven series of books. Sadie’s mother and father come back to town and help to save the islands from the disaster that is about take place. Looking forward to the next book in this series.
I really don't get the point honestly its like they didn't even try to work out anything and if her dad ment to have the book I don't see how he didn't think of it from the start.
I just wish that Sadie would learn to stand up for herself instead of letting everyone walk all over her. Otherwise this book is improvement in in the story telling
