Take a ride through Charlotte, where a legacy was born. Solomon is a ruthless politician with a questionable past. Brandy is hood certified and well connected on the streets. Calico is the uncontrollable street prodigy who is known as a chameleon and loyal to a fault. This a story about how a thirst for power can either build or destoy a legacy. Money, power, greed, deceit, murder, and triple crossing mayhem reign supreme in the journey to find out who was actually born to leave behind the most powerful legacy.
In the first few pages of Born in it, I was thinking,This is it one of those rare Urban literature books that's unique as well entertaining the charters are well developed, cleverly plotted so that each new development had me astounded and eager to find out what happens next. The action is fast and non-stop, the dialogue crisp and realistic, Born in it is a great action filled novel that will keep you on the edge, by one of today's best Urban authors.R.l gives his fans what they want here, with plenty of dramatic moments, with a plot that twists and turns, surprising the reader in almost every chapter. I recommend Born in it enthusiastically to R.L fans, and those who might just be looking for a fantastic book to read. Wonderful job R.L
Nothing is what it seems. That's all I could think of reading this book. Not a normal read for me but it held me attention with the guessing of who's who. At times I was a little annoyed at the flow of the story but towards the end I was dying to get my hands on part 2
This was a great book. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys street literature. Stein is ruthless and his loyalty lies only within himself . Calico you would love him. Looking forward to reading part 2. Thanks to the author for a great book.
Good urban read from the streets of Charlotte. Stein is one the most corrupt characters...at least he chose the right career. Just when you think he's going down, his slickness & telephone calls seems to save the day. Good storyline describing his path. On to part 2 to see him reek more havoc.
I love the chi and all of the live-action. It took me a minute to figure out what was going on but it only leaves me wanting more. Family doesn't seem to mean much and loyalty is over rated.
