Vernon Howard began his writing career, in the 1940s, as an author of humor and children's books.
He began speaking on the principles of personal development in the late 1950s while living in southern California.
In the 1960s, he began writing books that focused on spiritual and psychological growth, emphasizing the importance and practice of self-awareness. By the early 1970s, he had moved to Boulder City, Nevada and had begun teaching spiritual development classes after being contacted by numerous individuals interested in his writings.
Exceptionally simple, but profoundly deep in Vernon Howard's own inimitable style. All his books are exquisite- but his explanations of how any man can raise his conscious, by only following a few simple instructions.
The book title is very misleading. This book has very little to do with esotericism or mind power. It is full of nonsensical badly placed and constructed metaphors. The author overly repeats the same points concerning personal change without actually giving you the conscious steps to do so. I am very disappointing with this book in particular because Vernon Howard is regarded with such accolade among mediocre "new age" groups. Reading this book was certainly not a pleasure as the authors writing felt obstructed by poorly written short painfully dull sentences. Weak approach to the subject fallowed by elementary writing style gives this book 1 well deserved star.
