Heather Rainier lives and writes in South Central Texas. Her stories offer up the content of her fantasies, with humor, tragedy, and triumph mixed in.
Heather's love of romance fiction began as a teenager when her mom gave her copies of Kathleen Woodiwiss's "The Flame and the Flower" and Bertrice Small's "Skye O'Malley". To this day she's pretty sure that was her mom's version of the "birds and the bees" talk.
Heather writes the type of novel she loves to read: More erotic and edgy than the mainstream, with plenty of sweet romance mixed in and a happily ever after guaranteed. Heather's favorite type of hero is the gentle, lovable giant but readers will discover a wide variety of heroes and alphas on the pages of her novels.
When not at her keyboard, Heather is usually busy corralling her teenagers, or loving on her smokin' hot husband, who thankfully loves to cook.

What can I say but Congratulation Heather on another well done job. Her Divine Creek Series is one of the best series out there. She will make you laugh make you cry share some great sex and just make you believe in Happy Ever Afters!! And I truly believe every woman need her very one "woobie"!!!!!!
Tangled In Divine by Heather Rainier is the 14th book in The Divine Creek Ranch Series, and it is still as entertaining as The very first book Divine Grace. I can honestly say this is one of a few, very few Authors who has never let me down. She manages to take her fans on a journey every couple of months to Divine, Texas. And most of us never want to come back home.
Tangled in Divine brings together the trio of Julian Alvarez, Chris Potter & Gwen Henderson.
Julian Alvarez a former rodeo rider and friend of Gwen's, who is now a ranch hand. This is one very sexy, hot cowboy. He also has a couple of big secrets, he has been in love with Gwen for a while. And he started a venture capitalist consortium and he is worth millions.
Chris Potter, Julian's best friend is a giant Teddy Bear. He has a great BIG heart, comes from a big Italian family. But he has always felt awkward with woman. He also feels as if he needs to be a joker to make up for his lack of social skills. One look at Gwen Henderson, and he has fallen head over heals in love with her.
Gwen Henderson a Barrel Racing Champion, who has finally retired from the rodeo circuit and returned home to her family's ranch in Colorado, only to find out her father has foolishly lost the ranch and her prized horse to the bank. Gwen feeling lost, heads back to Divine Texas. She plans to get back on her feet and fight to get her family's ranch and her beloved horse back when they go to auction in March. Of course she didn't plan on falling head over heels in love with two men.
Heather Rainier, always manages to write a book that her fans find very hard to put down. She writes Flaming Hot love scenes, I was half expecting my kindle to melt. She also manages to write quite a bit of humor. You can always count on a great selection of songs to read about, weather on the radio or playing at The Dancing Pony. If it is a song I have never heard before, I can promise you I will be hitting youtube before long to listen. Heather also brings back some of her characters from previous books, and I must say it is something I love revisiting. To see old favorites and watch them have each others back ... Priceless. And talk about priceless the little ones in Divine will make you laugh & cry with their actions and words.
This loyal fan is looking forward to the next book in the series, maybe it will include a map to Divine, Texas! One can Hope.
Another awesome book in the Divine Creek Ranch series. I couldn't put it down, house work and food forgotten :D
Heather Rainier has this knack for eliciting all the emotions from me. I laughed out loud, I cried, I ranted and clenched my fists to beat up some of the shady characters. Loved Gwen who despite her misfortune, landed on her feet. Courageous and meeting each challenge head on, she got her happy ending with Chris and Julián, two hunks who I fell in love with along with Gwen. You will need a few cold drinks and showers after reading the steamy love scenes. Loved what all three brought into the relationship, each completing the other and bringing out the best in each other.
This book will definitely go into my reread pile along with all the other Divine books.
BRAVO! Heather you have another winner on your hands with this book. I lost sleep on this one, I couldn't put it down. I lived Gwen's character and her two sexy men. One sexy read that is sure to get your panty's WET!
Oh boy!!! Reader beware, this one is a marathon not a sprint!! Many Erotica books are quick little reads, not this one!! It was triple the length of a standard erotic romance and trust me you get the bang for your buck!!
I remember Gwen from past Divine books and loved her! She has such sass and wit!! And I am all about an independent lady who speaks her mind! I loved her attitude and could see her easily falling for her men!!
I am only just getting to reading the Lusty series, so I was not familiar with Julian's back story. It didn't really make much difference because this book brings you up to scratch! I loved how steadfast and sincere he was. And who can resist a man with a plan to steal his ladies heart! He was also wonderful at advising his best friend in how to proceed with the relationship!
Chris is a great big teddy bear and definitely "woobie" material! I am all about a gentle giant who can let loose in the bedroom! I also adored his being retaught how to act with a lady!
The whole dynamic was wonderful to read! I was rooting for them all the way! Speaking of roots, holy bedroom hotness!! Ms Rainier definitely pushed the stereotype big men have very big...um...keep it clean...feet! Yowza!!It makes a girl beg the question how much is too much? Oh so yummy!! There were some touches of BDSM with spankings, ropes and blindfolds, oh my! But not too heavy!
With every new book you get to visit with your favorite folks in Divine! It is like you live there! In my mind I do! The author does a great job of drawing you in and making you salivate for more books in the series! Such a tease giving you hints and tastes of future pairings! Love it!!!
I highly recommend this series, but I advise starting at the beginning! If you start here there is just so much you will be missing!
Gwen. I have to start this review by talking about her. This gal was handed a huge pile of crap to deal with at the very beginning of the book. I felt like her coping, which was numbly driving and avoiding contact with others, was a very true reaction to her situation.
Gwen and Julian have a simmering attraction that seemed to happen when they were near each other while both involved with the rodeo circuit. Julian, in my mind, is exactly what a girl thinks of when she dreams of sexy cowboys. Plus the man has a few secrets which is always interesting.
Both Chris and Julian are around to help Gwen while she sorts out what she needs to do with her life. Chris is described as a giant of a man but also a woobie. Yes, that's right. I said a woobie. It still makes me smile. Want to know why? Read the book. Heh.
There is so much love between the three of them, whether they admit it or not. And as I mentioned in the beginning of this review Heather Rainier packs a lot of emotion into her stories. The Divine series is my go-to comfort reads when I want that warm and fuzzy "awwwwwe" feeling throughout a book.
If you haven't read this series but are interested in reading Tangled in Divine I believe it could be read as a stand-alone. But I will warn you that there is a LOT of characters and mentions from previous books so there may be places where you may feel a little lost without the rest of the backstory but it shouldn't take away from the overall story with Gwen, Chris and Julian.
**Reviewer's note - The entire review can be found on my site Ramblings and Reviews.
This was a book that made me feel a bit schizophrenic. On the one hand, it was hot, suspenseful and contained well-written, complex characters that I liked. On the other hand, it just could not hold my attention.
The main characters, Gwen, Julian and Chris, are well drawn, and the attraction between them sizzles. After years on the rodeo circuit, champion barrel racer Gwen comes home to Colorado to find her father has lost her savings and their ranch on risky business schemes. The only way to get it back is to have another winning year on the circuit and raise the money to win it back at auction.
She finds her way to Divine, Texas, where she has friends, and develops a relationship with cowboys Julian and Chris. Their ménage works great, but she knows in a few months she has to go back on the road. How can she resolve her need to stay with her men with her drive to win back her ranch?
I found Gwen to be admirable. She was soft-hearted, but capable and willing to defend herself when needed. Julian is the biggest surprise, the quieter of the two men, but one with a surprising past. Chris, labeled as a big woobie, comes from a large, boisterous family . His insecurity is endearing.
The book could have moved a little faster, but overall, anyone looking for a hot ménage book would do well to visit Divine, Texas.
I have always considered the time I spend reading, as a mini-vacation. I recently returned to Divine, TX and visited with some old friends. More importantly I met or I should say caught up with a character I encountered in a previous book from the DIVINE TEXAS series by Heather Rainier. It is always nice when you can see “what happened to” when reading a series. As I have previously stated in other reviews, I’m not going to tell you what the book is about. For that kind of information, simply read the back of the book or look for product description on the page were you buy the book. I will tell you that any “trip” to Divine TX is worth the trip. Heather Rainer brings her characters to life right before your eyes. She takes them on one roller coaster to another as we take a peek into their everyday lives. Her characters have depth. You the reader get to see the many sides which make them who they are. I have read and re-read this series many times and plan to continue to do so. I recommend you take a vacation in Divine, TX. The people are nice and friendly and are very welcoming. Makes you want to stop by the Dancing Pony for a cool one and maybe take a spin around the dance floor.
In early January I stumbled across Heather Rainier's Divine Texas Series when one of the books popped up as an Amazon recommendation. I spent the rest of the month in Divine Texas enjoying the lives, and loves of the residents of this town. As a self avowed series junkie she had me at "Hey, here's the second book in the series."
In Tangled we are re-introduced to Gwen, who've we met early on in the series, a sweet cowgirl with a big heart. Things aren't going her way and she ends up broken down and stuck in Divine, among friends, but still feeling broken and failed. She plans to ride out the year, do one more trip on the rodeo circuit and win back her legacy. But life is always what happens when you're busy doing everything else. She meets Julian, and then Chris, she knows about the quirks of this little Texas town, but can all their insecurities work together towards happiness or crumble everyone's heart to ruins?
Heather again sucks you into the world of Divine, weaving in characters you've come to love over the previous 13 books. I cannot wait for the next one, and the one after that and so on...
I'm a fan of both Rainier and the Divine Creek Series though I do admit it does has its flaws. Tangled in Divine the 14th installment in the series I must admit had its high and low points for me. I loved the two guys Jack and Chris or better known as woobie lol. But Gwen (rolls eyes)she had to be one of the stupidest women I had ever read. I actually got a headache a few times while reading from all the bad decisions she continued to make for the sake of her precious "independence". How can a woman be so stupid? It seems a good bit of her female leads seem to have judgement issues that nearly ruin the book. Another issue is the wordiness, as good as this series is to be honest a good 100 pages could be cut out and saved me from nodding off. She seems to have this issue in every single book, I'm actually surprised her editors haven't brought the issue up. However with this all said I must admit this is still a good series, the sweetness of the courtship is nice to read and the men remind you of a time that's long passed.
I liked the friendship that Julian and Chris had, loved that Chris kept razzing Julian for his feelings for Gwen, even having never met her. It was even got funnier when he finally did as he was struck dumb, a love at first sight thing. I liked that Julian realized what was going on and talked to Chris about things, broached the subject of a ménage relationship. It was a good thing because they had to be on the same page before approaching Gwen.
Knowing the ways of Divine, this sudden new relationship didn't throw Gwen the way it would most people. I liked that they all lived in the present, but hated how they all knew there was a deadline. I figured out real fast what was going on with the ranch and Gwen's father, just wished that she would have too. It was a good thing that her guys were there for her when Gwen had a knee jerk reaction, they saved her so much grief.
Let me just say this again, I did not read this series in order :D Yes, I'm a bad ass that way! Woohoo. Anyway, this is one grouping that I love! ESPECIALLY CHRIS AND HIS WOOBINESS! He's a huge teddy bear of a man and I abso-fucking-lutely love him! Gosh <3 He has such a big heart and though his evil family makes fun of him for being such a push over, I love how Gwen steps up and put them in their places while building Chris right back up. I am also a huge fan of how dominant Julian can get sometimes ;)
Heather manages to give us something different with each book. Different characters, different personalities, different plots. I'm amazed with her amazingness. I love love love every single book in the series! Rogers' a creepy by the way, he should be kicked in the balls, multiple times and hard.
This is the 14th book in the Divine series and it just keep getting better and better. This is a must read. When i read a book and can not put it down then you know its good. I got to know Gwen from her other books and i was hooked. I liked her independent ways and her sass. A girl after my own heart. And the sex is steamy. You should have a tall glass of water and a fan, when you read this book. It is Hot!!!!. If you have not read any of Heather Rainier books I urge you to start with Divine Grace. When you read any of her book you will want the rest of them. You can't help yourself she is that good. I am looking forward to her next book.
Gwen, Julian and Chris, are super hot as a sexy ménage !! This author loves the big guys, "gentle giants", and I do too. Chris is awesome. We like these guys right away because of the wonderful friendship and camaraderie. Gwen is a strong, independent rodeo gal who knows her own heart, and there is room for these men there. I love the usual cast of terrific characters from previous stories. This tale is new, suspenseful, interesting, romantic and fun. We always learn new things in Divine. ENJOY !! If you like this big guy, read "Dakota Ranch Crude", Dakota Heat series, by Leah Brooke. You'll love Shayne. Great story also !!
Heather Rainier has hit another out of this world, another story that makes you laugh, cry and wish you had a map to this wonderful place called Divine!! Gwen thinks she has lost everything that matters to her only to find herself in Divine and finds the two men that will end up meaning EVERYTHING to her, Julian and Chris. Chris, starts out as not your typical hero but ends up stealing your heart. I have never been disappointed in a book that I have read by this talented author and I look forward to many more books and the stories of Divine!!!!
Okay, I can't believe Heather can continue to put out more Divine Creek series books that are better than the last. Although I love all the characters from the series, Angel has been my favorite, until now. He has been surpassed by a Woobie, and I want my very own Woobie!!! Chris, the Woobie, is one of the sweetest, most protective, and most loving characters I've ever read about. Julian is also sweet, protective, and loving, but Chris is the Woobie (your favorite blankey or teddy bear). A great read with lots of great sex.
Once again Heather Rainier hits it out of the park with characters you instantly fall in love with. The late night meeting at the drive-thru will keep you laughing for the rest of the book. Fans already know that Gwen will turn things upside down everytime she comes to Divine. But this time, it's Gwen's world that will be rocked when two best friends fall for her. A strong heroine and two men determined to make her life better. If you're going to set roots down somewhere, might as well get them tangled up in Divine Creek Ranch.
I love all the Divine Creek Ranch series. This book was a little predictable but that's only because I've read them all and know what the outcome would be. Rogers role had big red flags all over it. The fact that her father was a fool didn't seem to bother Gwen. She got over the incident with Hatch and his buddies awfully quick. The last thing was why she insisted on leaving and believing in someone who proved he was untrustworthy. Even with those problems in the story, I still liked it for a quick, light, sexy, menage read.
Gwen thought that she was home for good, but when she finally pulls in its to find out that her home is on the chopping block, so she heads for Divine where she knows that she has people who will help her get through...Júlian has been on with Gwen for a while now and when his buddy Chris meets her he knows that they are about to get into a Divine set of mind, but can they convince the randy cowgirl that home is where the heart is and theirs is with her....nice story, and it has a serious ewww moment for me....onto the next
What can I say, love Ms. Rainier and love Divine!!!! If you want to escape for a couple of hours then Tangled is for you. Love the characters, story, and place. Everything I read a book by Ms. Rainier I am amazed at all the emotions that she writes and how the story sucks you in and leaves you wishing Divine, Texas did exist with all these wonderful people.
This continues to be one of my favorite series and I cannot wait for the next book!! I absolutely LOVED Chris ~ he made the book for me. Entertaining story with a fun and lovable trio with some of the hottest sex scenes both as menage and couple. 4 out of 5 rating!
INCREDIBLY SEXY READ!! For me, this was like a homecoming. It made me feel, safe, warm, and cared for. Plenty of extremely sexy scenes with Sexy cowboys that can make you melt, independent feisty women, friends I would just ADORE and a town that makes this Divine!! A definite MUST READ!!
This book was my favorite by far! I love everyone of Heather's books and The stories get better and better with each one. Chris Potter aka Woobie, Is my all time favorite character! Thank you Heather for these amazing stories. On to the next.
This writer writes good quickly moving stories with cute couples! I recommend this series if you like threesome books and nothing to heavy. Nice break from heavy life!!
