I swear I’m a good girl. I didn’t go to the exclusive, after-hours masquerade to kiss my dad’s best friend. I didn’t even know who the masked man was when he touched me like I was his every fantasy. But when I learn exactly how off-limits my new lover is, I do my best to avoid him the next time. Except, he has his sinful sights set on me, even when he discovers who I am. Just one time , he whispers. Then we’ll pretend this never happened. Seems the enigmatic, gorgeous single dad I’ve known by day is a very dirty man after dark. But one night turns into a stolen weekend away, giving me a taste of so much more. When we return to the city, we vow to stay apart. We could never work . He’s focused on raising his young son, and I can’t let my already damaged family break more. But the caring, possessive man keeps coming back to me, and these secret nights tangled up together are turning into tender moments that make my heart thunder. And soon, this tease of a forbidden romance is making me want so much more than I can ever have…

I honestly loved this book. Loved seeing OCD representation with the FMC and the way finn the MMC responded when she opened up to him about made me cry. SPICE WAS GOOD. AND age gap done RIGHT! She was 25 and he was 40 and I ate it up

This was like going on a date with someone who on paper is perfect but turns out to be the absolute worst.

The Tease has everything I should like - forbidden romance, dad’s ‘best’ friend, age gap, sex party, and kinky - but the writing wasn’t great, the premise was problematic, and the characters were overly complicated and not introduced well.

The writing. It’s way too literal and there’s a lack of prose. Some of the wording is awkward and unnatural. And there’s a lot of specific mundane details shared that’s not important to the story but seems to be included to create a setting, but it’s truly unnecessary. There’s also a lot of leading the reader and situations where the characters are like, “huh….something is familiar” or “I can’t quite put my finger on it” when it’s so obvious to the reader what’s going on.

The characters are overly complicated for no reason. The MMC is recently divorced and also recently discovered he has a 7 year old son from a one night stand he had in Rome with a random woman who is now dead. The FMC is a virgin with some weird past with an ex that has caused her to not trust people and therefore hasn’t had sex but she’s incredibly horny and goes to therapy because she’s afraid she had too many deviant intrusive thoughts and has felt shame about them. But it mostly just seems like she’s super into role play and being pleasured so….yeah. 🤷‍♀️ She also has a dead twin sister. Also, the MMC is friends with the FMC’s father as well as the brother to one of her friend’s fiancée. Again, just overly complicated.

The premise is dumb and dangerous. The FMC should not be going to a sex party to fulfill her sexual desires because she doesn’t know her limits or boundaries since she’s never had sex. Like, imagining you want some type of sex is different than actually experiencing it. There’s plenty of things I thought I’d enjoy but then doing them they weren’t for me. And testing all this out at a random party with a fucking stranger is dangerous, unrealistic and problematic.

Thank you Good Girls PR for providing a discreet cover copy of this book in exchange for an honest review! As always, all opinions are my own.

“That’s what you like? Giving pleasure?” I ask, still stunned that his kink isn’t role-play. It’s…making me come. This is like answering the job interview question what’s your biggest weakness with I work too hard.

He answers with a carnal yes, then says, “Let me show you.”

Stuff I loved:

He's a Pleasure Dom - All our MMC Finn wants to do is spoil Jules - especially with orgasms. At one point he even uses a Womanizer-type sex toy on her. There's some nice praise and dirty talk from both of them. They also enjoy roleplay but thankfully it doesn't get too cheesy.
Low conflict, nice people - He is super attentive and considerate. Lots of thoughtful gestures. They also send each other presents the entire book. They have naturally easy chemistry together, and never argue.
OCD Rep - Jules has OCD which manifests as intrusive thoughts. She is in therapy and has developed some coping mechanisms by the time the book begins, so it's not a huge part of her headspace - but this is the first time I've seen mention of intrusive thoughts in a romance book. The author did a great job of explaining it without feeling like an afterschool special. She also has a note at the end discussing her own experience with this.
Jason Clarke narrates the audiobook (with Vanessa Edwin).

Most of my criticisms are personal preferences - but hey reviews are intrinsically subjective, because art is:

👎 Not enough couple time Finn and Jules were great together, but their friends, family, and coworkers kept trying to hog the story.
👎 Too much personal growth Admittedly, this is a common gripe of mine. Obviously characters must arc, but sometimes it feels like everyone is required to complete a Self-Improvement Obstacle Course before they've "earned" love. Sorry but I just don't believe that attached people are somehow more evolved than single people.
👎 Side characters (minor nitpicks) Her dad (Tate) He also wasn't very likeable. He's not evil or anything - just your basic pompous, emotionally constipated rich white dude. In contrast, Finn was such a caring, emotionally intelligent guy - I couldn't believe he'd be BFFs w/someone like Tate. And Jules' boss Solange was totally out of bounds when she Felt incredibly inappropriate, but we're supposed to see it as some mentoring moment? 🫷 🙄

(This is completely irrelevant, but I've been on a dark romance kick recently, and my brain had trouble switching gears to mainstream CR.

my 🧠: "Oh so they can't be together because her dad is his best friend? So what? Just growl "Mine" and toss her over your shoulder! Blackmail her into marriage! Wait - kill her father!"

... Hey, you say "unhinged", I say "solution-focused"! 💅)

THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD.

I have OCD and a lot of trauma around ocd related things. Lauren did such a great job writing Jules. While I’m great full that we didn’t fully see it from her perspective during one of her intrusive thought moments. I’m also somewhat sad that others didn’t get to experience the distress of realising your brain is playing tricks. Also how hard it is to stay calm when like Jules speaks about is having those unwanted thoughts. Especially the unwanted sexual thoughts about random people. I love how Lauren made readers see this was unwanted, and scary. And how Finn handled it was beautiful. I’m currently working on finding a Finn for myself, so this gives me hope.

Thankyou for not showing the “normal” OCD and how intrusive thoughts are just as much a part of it!

Fun and entertaining while also being beautifully emotional. She captured the best of both worlds for an all-around sexy and seductive *forbidden age gap romance*!!

Finn and Jules are characters that I could see myself with in real life. There was nothing about this story that felt overly dramatic or even overdone. It was fresh and vibrant, and it pulled me from the start. My heart was soaring for these two and I especially loved that Lauren made the choice she did for them both to be each other’s anchors and support. I loved how their relationship developed and the story progressed. It was absolutely perfect!

Finn's divorce is finally settled, and he wants to explore again the things he used to like before he got married. So he went to this masquerade party called "The Scene." It's not a BDSM event, but people can explore some things and be a little risky. At this party too, Jules got a gig to play piano for the guests.

They met, but they don't know each other since masks are involved. For some reason, there's a strong pull between them, and once Jules gets her break, they go to the library to fool around. The tension between them is so thick, and the chemistry is off the charts, even though there's anonymity. Then they decide to meet again in two weeks; another "The Scene" party will be happening.

Two weeks came, buuuut, the shoe dropped, and they found out the identity of each other. But does this stop them from giving in to the attraction? Of course not 😉 Jules admitted she's a virgin, and she wants to do it with Finn. He's obviously torn because he wants her soooo bad, but she's also off-limits as she's his best friend's daughter. But thinking that someone else would take what Jules was giving him made him irrationally pissed. So they agreed that this would be a one-time thing, and they would act like nothing happened when tomorrow came.

Did this agreement hold for long? Clearly not. They can't stay away from each other. They keep saying this will be the last time and that nothing will actually come out of it. But whenever they're together, the pull is so strong, and even though they try to fight it, eventually they accept that there's no backing out of what they have.

I have to say that I think the main focus of this story is character development and healing. But the romance is definitely a sweet addition to the plot.

Jules has issues she needs to deal with in the stories.
- Her ex-boyfriend in college emotionally abused and manipulated her after reading all her private thoughts in her journal.
- She blames herself too for her sister's death, when it was really an unfortunate accident. It doesn't help either when her father tells her that if she had not taught her sister to sneak out, she would still be there with them. Tbf, her father said this in time when all of them were hurting and grieving. He might or might not mean that, but it made Jules hard on herself even after six years of her sister's passing.
- She also has OCD, which most of the time takes over her thinking and makes her anxious. She has a hard time opening up and trusting other people; even with her friends, she filters the information she shares. I guess the issue caused by her ex runs deeper and hurts her in epic proportions.

She's working with her therapist to handle all these things. But I think Finn is a great source of strength for her to face these issues head-on. He made her feel safe, cared for, accepted, and most especially loved.

Finn has his own issues to deal with too.
- He divorced his wife of six years when he found out that she lied about wanting to start a family. She only married him for his money, and she never wanted to have kids.
- He also found out eight months ago that he has a seven-year-old son (from a ONS). To be clear, he didn't cheat on his wife. This happened before he got married.

He's working very hard to get over the damage done to him by his ex-wife. The manipulations and lying hardened him a little bit. But thankfully, his son is there to help him with this process. Finn's a dedicated and loving father, and he wants to make up for all the lost time with his son. Though at times he gets anxious if he's doing the right things with his kid, these doubts never deter him from building a loving relationship with his child. I guess it helps too that Zach is a good kid who accepted him completely.

I really admire MCs when they exhibit honesty, openness, and trust with one another. It's so refreshing to read characters who work together with their issues instead of doing it apart. Jules and Finn definitely support each other through their own issues, and I honestly believe this is one of the reasons why their relationship is strong and stable. They're one of the most healthy couples I've read so far this year, and I'm here for all of it.

Overall, this book made me cry, sad, swoon, happy, hot and bothered, but most of all, I fell in love with Jules and Finn. These two are so perfect for each other, and they deserve their HEA. This is a great ending for this series, and I'm really happy that I got to read this. ❤️

The Tease is book 3 of The Virgin Society series by Lauren Blakely. It is a standalone romance, told from both POV with a happy ending.

Tropes:
✔️Dad’s Best Friend
✔️Forbidden
✔️Secret Identities
✔️Age Gap
✔️Single Dad
✔️Possessive Hero
✔️Falling in Love in Paris
✔️Pleasure Dom

Enthralled by the allure of age differences, I find myself drawn to its inexplicable charm. Combine it with a single dad, the forbidden bond he shares with her father, and the magic of Parisian moments, and The Tease had me hooked till the end.

Ever since Finn's brief appearance in The Tryst, his tale had me intrigued. Something about him urged me to explore deeper, and the news of his own book thrilled me.

Witnessing Finn and Jules' journey together was nothing short of captivating – from their chance meeting at The Scene to the final pages of the book. Their chemistry was palpable, and what resonated even more was their ability to be unreservedly themselves around each other. This was especially poignant given their past circumstances, which had confined them, preventing them from embracing their true selves.

Amid heartrending feelings of inadequacy, a poignant beauty emerged as they found in each other the comfort to be authentic. The author skillfully navigates the intricate ways our choices ripple through life, shaping unforeseen events and charting new courses. Pursuing our heart's desires might lead to paths where not all journey together, and seemingly right decisions can unexpectedly reshape our lives.

Life's essence lies in choices, weaving an intricate tapestry of transformation. Like the book eloquently reveals, our decisions can unpredictably mold our lives. 📚✨

Jules Marley is a hardworking, sweater-set-wearing, Junior Television Producer by day. But at night she wants to let loose and explore. She may not have experience in certain specific areas, but she is willing to try new things and has a whole list of secret desires that she would like to act on. So when she is able to fill in playing piano in an exclusive after-dark masquerade party, she is all in.

Finn Adams is a divorced single father. He is intelligent and wealthy, and runs a successful venture capital business with his brother, Nick. He has gone through many recent life changes and is getting settled into his new life. He is just getting back out there after his divorce so could not resist an invitation to get back into the scene.

A chance meeting, a hot interlude, and a new invitation bring temptation, desire, and want. These two seem to be on the same page as far as desires.

But when Jules finds out who her mysterious masked stranger is, it makes the situation more complicated and forbidden due to the connections in their lives. They were prepared to enjoy one night but then knew they would have to move on. But they never expected that circumstances would put them back in close contact and extend the temptation.

This is a heartfelt, emotional, steamy, forbidden, age-gap, first-time, single-dad romance about two people with similar specific desires and fantasies. But they are in different places in their lives. Jules is bold, confident, unapologetic, smart, sassy, and adventurous. But she has also had some pain in her past and recurring issues that affect her and she guards her heart. Finn has been treated poorly in his marriage and is just exploring his own desires again while also learning to navigate life with his son. He is passionate, attentive, and possessive. These two are so hot together and so in synch. But there are some things that make it messy and complicated and it could have repercussions on their own lives and those that they care about.

From New York to Paris, layers of truths, secrets, and vulnerabilities are shared as two people start to fall for each other despite their best interests and conflicts. And share a limited time exploring both scenery and their explosive passion while they find healing, understanding, and acceptance. But no matter how right it feels in the moment, there are so many obstacles in their way. It will be up to them to face them and challenge them if they want to break down the barriers and let themselves enjoy their true potential.

I love books where characters show growth and change. And this is truly a journey of self-discovery, acceptance, forgiveness, and healing especially for Jules. She has to find her backbone and deal with issues that have plagued her for years. But also Finn also has the chance to feel what true love and care feel like with someone that actually sees and appreciates him for just who he is. They just fit so well together on so many levels and I just adored them.

This is part of The Virgin Society series but can be read as a stand-alone but there are some cameos and connections from the other books.

The Tease, book three in The Virgin Society series, is an entertaining and smoking hot romance and it features Jules who we see in the first two books of the series, and Finn, her dad’s best friend.

Jules and Finn share an unforgettable evening at a masquerade party at The Scene, and while masks kept their identities hidden, they didn’t stop these two from experiencing a connection. However, before they can meet up again at The Scene, Jules discovers that her mystery man is her father’s best friend. He’s older, a single dad, and absolutely forbidden, but that doesn’t stop these two from lighting the pages on fire when they get together. They try to stay away but they find themselves headed to Paris at the same time and experiencing the city together changes everything.

Jules and Finn start out with insta-lust and this story is definitely heavy on heat. Finn gives Jules exactly what she loves in the bedroom and while I enjoyed this part of the story, what I love most is that these two really get to know each other and learn to trust enough to share their secrets.

Each time I see her, she shares carefully, ever so carefully, bits and pieces of herself. Every time I talk to her, I learn a little bit more about who she is and the layers she contains, like a trunk you take your time opening so you can savor the letters, the notebooks, the photos you find inside.

Finn is all about Jules and I love his support and understanding when she is slow to open up. I felt their trust grow and I loved when they felt comfortable to let the fears go and really let the other in.

I also love the secondary characters and how we get to see how everyone is connected. We get more of the characters from the first two books and then get some new characters who added to the story.

Overall, I really enjoyed Jules and Finn’s love story. Their journey has little drama and a whole lot of heart, and it was such a great addition to the series.

This was a solid read and my first by this author. Taboo dads best friend with some kink thrown in and it was good. HOWEVER it was a bit cheesy and cringy in spots. Why is it I have such a problem now with pet names and names for c*m and such as that. Just say it ffs🤦🏼‍♀️also just some of the wordage used during sexy time kind of gave me the ick. That was the only bad thing! The plot was solid! So Jules gets this gif to a swanky invite only kink club of sorts. She’s playing piano and able to dress up in a mask and be someone other than herself. She’s see the sexy Phantom walking into the club, eyes meet and a tryst happens in the library. She goes back two weeks later and ALL is revealed…masks are ripped off and he is none other than Finn Adams, her dads best friend and her good friends future brother in law 😰😰😰. She has literally been getting off for weeks by thoughts of someone that is over a decade older than her and works and spends time with her dad.
Finn is so torn because he is an honest and loyal friend and man but he also has a connection to this woman who has been the star of his every dirty thought for weeks! He makes the decision to take her home and have his way. What he doesn’t know until that moment is that she is a virgin and has been saving herself for the right man.

He turns what could be a horrible experience into one where her pleasure is everything to him. This is his kink along with the role play that is hers!

This affair follows them to Paris where they spend a glorious week between the sheets and then they decide to stop everything.

Once home she deals with her mental health (because Finn broke the wall around her heart and made her believe) and he deals with having his young son and how she will fit into their life.

They make a way much to her fathers disgruntled approval. Finn chooses her over anyone except Zach.

It was a sweet hot read and I fell for Finn hard! Totally worth the read and this was a TikTok rec!!!!

5 stars for Finn

This was an easy read. I loved Finn, he was so caring and thoughtful and made an amazing boyfriend. (Maybe because he was 15yrs older than Jules) these 2 just fell into one another, meant to be together. I am glad the age gap was not in the spotlight too often. Jules is the daughter of his best friend and they both had some baggage to deal with before they could be comfortable together. It was a great read. Fantastic hero. 4.5 stars

ARC REVIEW (thanks Candi Kane!)
Am I not a normal person for not having a tragic backstory or 15 jobs?

I feel like this book was very trope heavy instead of plot heavy.
Age gap
Insta love/ lust
Divorced single dad (but child isn’t from ex wife it’s from a one night stand and the mom is dead, only met the kid a year ago)
Father best friend
Sex club/bdsm/pleasure dom
Possible billionaire?
Office romance
Fmc has ocd (but a very obscure form and it’s barely touched upon)
Dead sister tragic backstory (and it’s never stated how the sister actually died? All we get is that she stole a bottle of wine and snuck out to a pool party- did she fall sneaking out? Crash her car? Drown at the pool party? Dunno she’s just dead)
Survivors guilt
Mean ex boyfriend (he read her diary oh no)
Aspiring girl boss
Oh and of course she’s a virgin
Girl gang who dress as pop stars?

It was just soooo much it took away from the actual romance. Then there’s kind of a 3rd act break up? You would think it’s
Because it’s his dads best friend but it turns out it’s because of her job? But not even like a fraternizing policy, just because some other older lady told her not to get distracted from her goals.

This book had so much potential but unfortunately i skimmed through it. I was so ready for the angst of "dads bestfriend" and the sneaking around and all that jazz when it comes to this trope, but it was totally not that. It had so much going on that it took away from the romance, the pacing felt off, and my biggest issue with the book is that it didnt feel like a dads bestfriend, they felt more like coworkers.

So, let me spill the beans about this audiobook experience. I'm a huge fan of the author. Seriously, their writing has this magical way of getting under your skin. And you know what? This audiobook was no exception!

Even though the whole age-gap thing usually isn't my cup of tea, I had to trust the author's skill. And trust me, they nailed it. They managed to take that tricky setup and turn it into something that felt so real and relatable. The way they handle their characters is like a masterclass in storytelling finesse.

Let's talk about the romantic parts—hot dang, they were just right. Not too in-your-face, but not holding back either. It's like the author has this secret recipe for balancing things perfectly.

What really got me, though, was the way these characters clicked. It's like the author understands human dynamics on a whole new level. The ups and downs they faced just added to the richness of the story. And when they finally hit that ending, it was like a mic drop moment. The journey was totally worth it.

Oh, and major kudos to the characters for standing tall in their beliefs. It's like the author infused them with this inspiring dose of determination. It's no surprise I'm a fan.

If you're ready for a story that'll surprise you, make you swoon, and leave you cheering, give this audiobook a listen. Trust me, this author knows how to work

I have so much going on in my life at the moment that I’m finding it hard to read a book in one sitting, but this one I made time for! I was up late and sat for the whole morning until I finished. I didn’t want to put it down. So many things I loved about it, the couple, their kinks, their chemistry and their ethics. The way they discovered each other from that first party and tried to stay away to then succumbing to their desires, just cleverly done. I liked that Jules could be her own age, a little demure but still a confident woman who knew what she wanted from her career and partner. Finn…oh Finn…what wasn’t to like about him! His fun side with his own brother and their sons, his strong and dominant side with a filthy mouth. I honestly think this is one of LB’s most spicy books to date. I also enjoyed reading about NYC and Paris…oh to see Paris like Jules and Finn did! What made it a rounded full five stars is the connection with the secondary characters as well. They were just as important to highlight certain elements or show support to the main characters. There is a small snippet to what might be the next book - Rockstars - and that I can not wait for.

4.25🌟

gasping wheezing squeaking sobbing screaming swooning throwing up

Well, finally!!! After being a bit disappointed with book one and feeling conflicted about book two, book three gave me everything I was hoping for. This one delivered, and yes, it officially claims the spot as my favorite in the series, with my most adored couple as far.

The Tease was the forbidden age gap romance final boss, and I devoured every second. Jules is 25, Finn is 40, and yes, he’s her dad’s friend. But instead of leaning into cliché drama, this story gave me emotional depth, clear communication, and banter so sharp it could slice glass. Their dynamic was electric: flirty, fiery, and full of tension that never felt forced. Jules’ OCD rep was beautifully handled, and Finn’s response when she opened up? Tear-inducing. He didn’t just listen—he understood. He took her to a garden where she could fully immerse herself, breathing in the scent of flowers, feeling the breeze, and listening to butterflies, bees, and birds in symphony. But then he also brought the garden to her: boxes of perfume, fresh blooms, everything she loved, delivered straight to her. If that’s not the true embodiment of love, then I’m already six feet under. 🫠

I adored how safe and comfortable Jules felt around Finn bcs she could be vulnerable without guilt, fully herself without hesitation. Their connection was so raw and real it pains me in the most beautiful way. The way they anchored each other emotionally was next level. They relationship was strictly forbidden and will complicate things, but they were both emotionally mature, which made the dynamic feel grounded and refreshing. No childish arcs, no weird imbalance, just two adults falling hard and choosing each other. Their communication was crystal clear, and that alone elevated the entire story. The “dad finds out” moment didn’t go full drama-mode like I expected, and the bonding scene between Jules with Zach (Finn’s son) wasn’t the classic “can I call you mom?” tearjerker, but the ending still hit. It was soft, satisfying, and exactly what their story needed. Hands down the best book in the series for me. 😩

Likewise, all merits to Vanessa Edwin and Jason Clarke for absolutely elevating this story. I wasn’t anywhere near a DNF, and honestly, I was hooked from the very beginning. I’ve loved their work individually, but together? Even without a full duet format, their chemistry was magnetic. They brought so much nuance and emotion, making every scene feel richer and more alive.

Overall, I genuinely enjoyed binge-reading this series. Each couple brought their own unique spark to the forefront, making the journey totally worth it. If you’re into age-gap romances with a spicy-to-smutty edge and a forbidden twist in every book, this series is an absolute must. 💼💻👠💸❤️‍🔥

The Tease is the third installment of the Virgin Society Series, an offering that stands as the height of steamy and fervent tales. Jules and Finn's saga unfolds within the captivating tapestry of a masquerade soirée, a night where enchantment hangs heavy in the air. Here, the piano's dulcet tones are tenderly coaxed by Jules, casting a spell that lures hearts and souls into a dance of destiny.

In this tale of unexpected affections, a truth underscored by the clandestine throes of emotion that bind Jules and Finn. Their liaison is a tempestuous tango of forbidden sentiments, drawing readers into a vortex of intense emotions that play a symphony on the heartstrings. Jules and Finn's journey unfolds as a delicate dance of vulnerability and courage, reminiscent of a phoenix's flight from the ashes of conventionality.

It's a welcomed addition to the series of the Virgin Society. So, to those who seek narratives that evoke emotions as diverse as they are fervent, let the chronicle of Jules and Finn be your compass. The author seems to be out doing herself with each addition to this series. Each book is better than the last.

4.5 ⭐️

This series has me in such a chokehold! I have loved every single book and was excited for Jules to finally get her HEA! Jules and Finn were perfection! Things to look for in this book:

Age gap ✔️
Forbidden romance ✔️
Dads best friend ✔️
Single dad ✔️
Virgin FMC ✔️
BDSM/Role playing ✔️
Spice in the first 10% ✔️

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Spice level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Angst level: 💔

After getting a job from a friend as a piano player at a secret kink club for one night, Jules is ecstatic. She has been dying for an invite to The Scene, but never knew how to get one. But after one night there, she knew that her life was changed. After having an instant attraction to a masked man, they take her break as an opportunity to have some naughty fun. And what fun they have! They agree to meet up again two weeks later at the same place.

But shortly before meeting up again, Jules realizes who her masked man is – her dad’s best friend. And she knows that she needs to let him go before things get complicated. Easier said than done.

When life keeps pushing Finn and Jules together, they try to fight their attraction, but know that the attempts are futile as they are meant to be together.

This book is SPICY and I am here for it! Their spice worked and I just loved how they were together when they were role playing and when they were just being themselves. This relationship was so much more than sex though – the emotional intimacy that these two showed really upped their tension for me. They knew that they couldn’t just walk away from this connection; no matter what!

This book deals with some heavier topics, so if you have an triggers, just check the trigger warnings!

I always see Virgin, and back away, I think just over the years some authors didn't do them justice and I should know better than to think that would be the same here. Lauren is amazing. She takes a trope I am not a fan of and makes me a fan.

Add in a single dad and holy smokes we have a winner. I like how they met and how the mystery added to the tension. I also liked how they dealt with everything when everything came to light. It was mature and adult in every way. It was a great balance of friendship and relationship.

The chemistry leaps off the ears. The narrators really do a great job of giving us the emotion.

I absolutely love a dads best friend forbidden romance, so I had to check this out!

Our main characters meet up at a spicy masked party and share one steamy evening together. They quickly realize, one night is not enough. These two have amazing chemistry!

Please note, the MMC did not become friends with the FMC’s dad until she was grown. This forbidden romance was done so well!

This was such a fun read. It was both heartfelt and steamy!

My Goddess! The Tease by Lauren Blakey was a single dad, age gap romance mixed with the perfect amount of seduction, forbidden, and swoon! This is book three in Lauren’s Virgin Society, and each couple in this series keeps getting hotter and sexier! Jules and Finn’s insta-lust connection is scorching right from the start, and their connection becomes undeniable.

Vanessa Edwin and Jason Clarke narrated this audiobook in dual narration. I LOVE when these two are paired together because they are master storytellers and breathe life into the characters they portray. Vanessa’s alluring, decadent tone captures Jules’ passionate, vulnerable, and determined persona as she gives into her deep, dark desires. Jason unlocked a new deeper growly mature tone as Finn, delivering his possessive, charismatic, and loyal loving personality perfectly. Both narrators bring the heat, with Jules and Finn’s forbidden steamy chemistry!

Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of an age gap forbidden romance with a hot older single dad, a younger piano-playing virgin, alluring masquerade parties, a naughty Cinderella, ladies' poker night, father’s best friend, starry anklets, stolen panties, intrusive thoughts, trips to Paris, Monet’s Garden, all the steamy times, family forgiveness, and a HEA that is definitely not a tease, then you will love Jules and Finn’s story. I always look forward to more from Lauren Blakely.

Jules is breaking new ground with a promotion at work that has her one step closer to her dream job, while also working in production as a new streaming show is developed. She has also decided it is time to try to move beyond the hurts caused by a college relationship that have followed her into adulthood. Filling in for a friend by playing piano at an exclusive club seems the perfect way to meet a man who can help her explore her darker desires.

Finn only recently discovered he was a father and is learning how to parent while also getting to know his son. He is also divorced, and ready to find the side of him he let go during his marriage. He used to regularly attend after-dark parties, and has decided that now is the time to jump back into that scene.

A chance encounter behind the anonymity of masks is all they were counting on. They were not anticipating meeting in their real lives, nor did they consider there might be a real spark behind the explosive physical chemistry they felt.

These two have more than just their own relationship to consider as they explore the chemistry between them. Finn and Jules’ father are close friends, training together and spending quite a bit of time together in leisure and business. Navigating their own relationship while also figuring out how to handle her father finding out added a good bit of drama to their tryst.

There is a lot of really great communication and play involved in this story. Finn and Jules each know what they want and aren’t afraid to ask for it. Jules may not have had much experience before, but she isn’t a shy person. She doesn’t regret that she is still a virgin, but is also ready to try opening up and trusting like she hasn’t since college. Finn had to keep part of his own interests hidden for several years, but now that he is single again, he isn’t going to compromise on the things that are important to him.

There were several layers to this story, and I loved exploring each one. From the masked strangers, to their real life connections, to the single dad, to confronting the past, there was a lot to love throughout this story. I loved the little (and bigger) cameos sprinkled throughout, as Lauren Blakely often does with favorite characters, but this book stands alone quite nicely.

No thoughts, just FINN ADAMS.

But thoughts, the Adams brothers will be the end of me. I didn't think Nick could be bested but here we are. The tension and longing. Gahhhhh Lauren just understood the age gap/forbidden assignment. If this is your trope, this book delivers EVERYTHING.

2.75 ⭐️ I read this for a fun spicy read and while it definitely was that I struggled after the FMC said “that’s fire” about the MMC….
