Ryker’s story was good. We didn’t get a lot of time with her in previous books. She is the fixer in the family and for the most part is a loaner. Shade loved Ryker even though she pushed him away. But she knew he was the love of her life. All of the pieces of the puzzle are coming together with the Crowne family.

The books in this series just keep getting better and better. Ryker aka Doc is an elusive Crowne sister who is rarely in Chicago with the rest of the family. She comes around and when needed, but otherwise stays in her own world and does important work trying to unite the allies of the Crowne family.
8 years ago she found the love of her life through a clandestine meeting while doing undercover work. Instant chemistry, amazing vibes...so why is this a 2nd chance romance?? Let me just say that I absolutely love how this author wrote this story because while we didn't know much about Doc, she was easily endeared to me and probably most readers.
The hero, Shade, just can't help but love her. Most of this story is a big bag of emotions. These two yearning for one another, and readers hoping for a reconciliation. Once we find out why they aren't together it makes total sense and goes a long way to tying the series together. But damn it was agony lol!
If you want an angsty, emotional 2nd chance romance, this is a good one.

First of all let me say Sherrill Green, well played with the allusive character Doc ,AKA Ryker.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 All this time, I assumed this character was one of the Crowne brothers 😂 . Imagine my surprise when it was revealed Doc was a female member of this dynamic family😳 From the Prologue to the Epilogue I found myself experiencing a number of emotions. I was either gasping , laughing , or saying oh crap! 😂. Now when

i'm taken aback by how much i loved ryker's story. the ending was so fucking romantic & beautifully written, i felt it in my bones. so much disappointment in creed's decisions up until this moment but having so many questions answered & connections made, i enjoyed every single second. ryker & shade's story has taken place as my favorite of the crowne siblings because of how beautiful, poetic & erotic it was. 5 stars!! & hearing shade's british accent imitated by wesleigh siobhan & sean cresden just did it for meeee chiiiii. 🥵❤️

good read
I was excited to here Rykers story and see what she’s been up to throughout the whole series. Then to hear her adoption story into the story was jaw dropping. Now I will say that Shade was my favorite part because who doesn’t love a British man 🥰.

Okay I see you Shade
I'm loving the Crowne family more and more. I have a secret crush on Shade. I was devastated about the shooting,but I can't wait for the next series. This is a book about family, love, and sacrifice. I'm hoping we find out what's going on in Creeds head in the next book. Although I have a strong feeling that we won't 😂. That' cool as long as you keep them coming sis!

This is another one that made me cry. Doc is the sibling that you didn’t hear much about because she was running things from afar. Leaving her and Shade’s server and the turmoil they endured is heartbreaking. Her brother being the cause of heartache for her is even more heartbreaking.

Alright I’m late on this review but y’all we have some questions answered and my prediction of Duchess getting a book is coming true!! So let’s get into it! This book starts with a prologue with Ryker working undercover at a bar called Porcelain in Germany where she’s trying to take down a trafficking ring. Her cover is busted by the owner and his new partners but little does she know that two of those partners are actually on her side! Shade and Pope (yes the Pope from Carter’s #Undoing). The love connection between these two was faint but had you thinking oh we starting this book off with a Bonnie and Clyde scenario! Absolutely wrong! 😭 We fast forward to them not dating but are back working together since their last mission was saving Hollis. Shade is very much still in love with Ryker aka Doc. (Which let me just say this for the longest time I thought Doc was a man! But nope she was the sister in the shadows working as a contractor, doctor, and whatever the family needed. Her not being deciphered as a woman was strategic on the Crownes part). Ryker is standoffish with Shade for a legitimate reason but I’m not going to hold you that reason very much pissed me off! 🤬 There are definite parallels in learning to tell your people you love them before it’s too late. This occurs for both Shade and Ryker. The twist of who the shooter was had my mouth open because IKYFL! Like wtf?! Also, the siblings mix up?!? And it is time for Duchess to tell her damn truth because mam!?! You can’t keep this from everyone any longer! And let me say this Sherelle you got some work ahead of you for Creed's book because idk what type of love exists that can bring that man back 😭. You're also not slick for putting one of my Hood men in here to get played by Ryker 😩I ain’t like that! Also, why is Smitty so ignant 😭🤣🤣. Overall this book was exciting! The Red Dungeon scene was 🥵🔥! And another thing, Ryker needed to stop playing with Shade and her little kink of him watching her interact with others! Stop playing with folks! I rank this book in my top 3 for the series and it has me soooo excited for what’s to come next!! Duchess has soo much to explain! The Carrington’s having intel on stuff makes me think they have a series coming too? 👀

just another love story but ok 👍🏾
I guess we’re not Mafia anymore but strictly romance. The series has shifted to just love stories, no Mafia actions. But Doc storyline is different. Even though it was kind of tedious to me, I got through it. I think the new characters gave it more life. And I did like Doc and Shade, so that could’ve made it more interesting to me. Bringing Creed back was a plus in the author favor. As you can tell I’m not a romance reader, my attention span is too short. I get bored easily and it’s hard for me to focus on the story. If I’m not skipping pages, I’m nodding, so to be fair I read about half of this book but what I did read, it was enjoyable. I loved the close knit family, I love Duchess and Stan and the empire they built, I loved how they gave all these different kids a 2nd chance at love and family. So, thank you author for your great penmanship.

I assumed “Doc” was a male, so I was pleasantly surprised to learn that there was another female Crowne sibling. Unfortunately, this story fell flat for me. This book was a vehicle to deliver a lot of necessary information that brings us closer to the conclusion of the series. But that is all it did for me. Part of the problem was that the dialogue never lead us anywhere. Everyone is talking in circles because they are holding on to a couple of big secrets and we just have to wait for the big reveals. I found Doc/Ryker/Remi boring and so was her love interest. Ryker is reserved and moves in silence but so is Jedidiah and his book was interesting and kept me engaged. Even the spice in this book meh. Ryker’s book did confirm my suspicions that the whole series was a set up for the last Crowne sibling’s book. I am definitely looking forward to that.

Ryker aka Doc was a pleasant surprise. I do appreciate a formidable female character. I enjoyed the way Shade and Ryker's relationship developed along with their commitment to each other.
There were a number of unexpected twists in this book. The secrets keep growing. This book.was filled with action, danger, and suspense. It was also full of emotion. I was glad that Hollis was still being Hollis. I would not recommend that a reader start with this book. I think it is necessary to start at the beginning for someone to enjoy and appreciate the full effect.
I listened to the audiobook also and it was really well done. I.don't think I will be able to wait for the other audio books to come out. I will move to the next book and go back for the audio later. This series is well worth a reread.

Going in if you think you know what to expect when reading this Crowne installment, think again! Yes it follows the trend of stopping human trafficking and catching Benjamin Foster but that’s where the similarities end. Oh Green takes us on a rollercoaster ride I didn’t know I want to get on but what a ride it was. Twist after twist made a girl dizzy. LOL This kept me up all night but the lack of sleep was well worth it. Ryker and Shade together is EVERY FREAKING THING!!!! I liked seeing familiar faces but the addition of new characters was definitely a bonus. I hope to see more of them in the future. I can’t wait to see how the saga continues in Duchess’s

The love and chemistry between Ryker and Shade is electric! What was thought to be a forbidden romance was truly meant to be. But this story isn't your ordinary romance. Oh no, this story takes the Crowne saga to a whole new level. Secrets and truths come to light that could threaten the familial bond the Crownes share. I can't wait to see how it all unfolds.
Definitely a great read.

The Secrets Keep Coming!!!
The secrets keep coming as in any Crowne book that you read but the secret in this book was shocking to say the least. We are introduced a new family who are a Crowne ally that I hope is a start to a new series. I had no clue that Ryker's man would be a character that was introduced in Hollis' book. Ryker and Shade were made for each other and I thoroughly enjoyed the way that they vibed. This was an emotional book from beginning to end. Great job once again Sherelle!!!

Very good! Definitely will have you locked in! Every story has a background that leads back to each other. Idk how Sherelle Green does it. She leaves you curious about each Crowne member and connecting book. This series is truly fascinating. When Ryker and Shade stepped into The Red Dragon! Sheesh!! 🥵 And my poor Creed. Just so much pain. His pain just increases with each story I read. I’m so invested I can’t turn away. Lol I am permanently along for this ride. Join along if you haven’t already.

As always the Crownes will have you in stitches,suspense and needing a tall glass of Ice water 💦 …Doc was lonely but not alone just as Shade was (IMO)….Dutchess knows whatbeach of her children needs and she follows through… I Love how the stories are easy to follow the secondary characters are written so well you almost forget that they weren’t apart of the entire series…please fix Creed he is struggling…job well done as always

Hard to Put Down
I love the Crowne family….a Mafia after my own heart; however Ryker’s story maybe my favorite of all the children. She’s sacrificed so much to protect and love her family and having Shade too love her unconditionally and be her protection when beget family isn’t around is the icing on the cake. Can’t wait to read Duchess story. I’m sure there will be so many questions answered. And will be finally get Creed back?

Seriously Intense!
I've been reading the Crowne Legacy series, and to me Ryker and Shade's story was the most intense. Based on the back stories of the previous siblings, I knew Ryker's was going to be interesting, but nothing prepared me for Shade's. Talk about well-kept secrets. This book was filled with so much drama and suspense, I couldn't put it down until I finished reading. I am looking forward to reading the remaining two books in this series.

I think Ryker and Shade's story is my favorite in this series. The chemistry was evident from the first meeting. Duchess knew what she was doing. LOL There are a few surprises in this story that will leave readers with their mouths dropping.
Hats off to Ms. Green for another great installment in the Crowne Legacy series.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!
Mrs. Green why are you trying to send me to my early grave. There are way too many cliffhangers surprises and everything that you learn in this book. But this book is the bomb and learning about everything Ryker and Shade!!!!!. I’m not gonna add any spoilers to this. I just want to say I cannot wait for book 9!!!!!!

Those Crownes
What a book!!! Love the Crownes, I was so glad to catch up with them again. The action, the family gathering again. So happy to catch up with Doc and Shade. Glad to see the one no one had seen in awhile. I cannot wait to see what happens next. You did your thing Sherelle.

Living and surviving
Doc is a very smart and talented woman who has always protected her family and friends. I love her with Shade and their attraction was immediate. The Crowne Family has so many things going for them just as many going against them. They maintain a united front with the exception of Creed but he has is reason.

Amazing
This book was given from the beginning to the end. I love the fact that this series always have some kind of story being told from the past, and the mysteries being answered. It's a beautiful thing when they found love in the darkness that made the their world brighter out of the darkness.

Ryker and Shade
I loved this book and I want more from Ryker and Shade. I cannot wait until the next two books in this series are released and I’m hoping all unanswered questions are resolved. I highly recommend this series.
