Tiger
Book 7 in the New Species series. While each New Species book is a standalone, the greatest enjoyment will come from reading them in series order. Zandy's had too much to drink and is in the wrong place at the wrong time. She knows she's going to die. When next her eyes open, a beautiful man-creature is holding her in his arms. He's just too tempting to resist, her very own fallen angel. She wraps herself around his body, determined to have him. But when this angel turns out to be flesh and blood, reality crashes in-she's seducing a New Species. Tiger's shock quickly turns to intense passion when the human female kisses him, despite the fact she's trying to get his clothes off while he's engaged in a task force operation. He's also made it clear he'll never take a mate. Rather difficult when he and Zandy can't keep their hands off each other. The taste and feel of his little human just leaves Tiger wanting more.

I'm a full time home 'supervisor' which is a nice word for saying I'm a housewife. I'm married happily, I met my dream guy 20 years ago, and we have 4 children. I live in Southern California and I can't function without iced coffee. I believe in romance, I've always been a daydreamer, and I'm a HUGE fan of books, always have been.
No, I didn't know that I always wanted to write. I inhaled books as a child. I read entire series (Pippi Longstocking, Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys, Trixie Beldon, The Borrowers, etc) in a matter of days at a time. By the time I was nine years old I had an adult library card where I visited often. I moved on to John Saul, Stephen King, Richard Laymon, Agatha Christie, and then found romance. I was hooked. I wrote poetry in my teens and then moved on to short stories. My first book was started after I read a real bomb of a book that ticked me off with really horrible characters and a plot that was shabby at best and I thought... I could do better. LOL.
I wrote my first book which will probably never see the light of day in the early 90's. I wrote a series of a few books from it. I'm a series fan! I kept writing for fun, wrote MANY books and then in 2009 I decided to try to get published. I wrote my first Sci Fi romance and Ral's Woman came to be. I submitted it and with a little tweaking, Ellorascave sent me an acceptance letter. It was kind of a 'Cinderella' experience for me. It's been a terrific ride so far and I'm really happy that I finally had the time to commit to writing full time. It's a dream come true.

4.5 tempting tiger Stars

Tiger is the 7th book in the New Species Series. Tiger doesn't want a mate ever.... He makes fun of all the males that have taken mates, saying they are nothing but trouble especially human mates. He has been very outspoken on the matter! Tiger is the head of security for the NSO, he and his men are called to break up a brawl at a local bar. When they arrive he sees this little redhead knocked into the fight and disappear under a pile of fighting drunk men. By the time he gets to her she isn't breathing , he starts CPR, saving her. Zandy tempts him like no other, and even though he has no plans on taking a mate , one taste won't hurt, Right?
“Fuck me,” she pleaded. “You’re huge and I want you inside me so bad I hurt. Get these clothes off us.”
OMG I loved this book, Tiger is now my second favorite in this series. This has to be one of the steamier ones of the series. The way Tiger and Zandy went at each other on the hood of the car dry humping like a couple of horny teens * fans self* so damn hott!!!!!! These two had so much chemistry they was setting my kindle on fire!
“Fuck me,” she demanded. He stopped kissing her neck and growled. “Easy.” “Fuck that. Take me.”
Tiger:
Damn I love, love , love Tiger!!! Sexy as hell, and so damn romantic. He was strong , protective, and a total hunky dominant beast! He fought his feelings for Zandy, scared that she would be his weakness or that he would lose her. But he just can't help falling hard for Zandy. Tiger made me melt so many times in this book. Towards the end he ticked me off a little the way he was hiding his feelings for her and not telling her that she was his mate, but Tiger is my Second favorite Hero in the series! I so want him!!!
“You are so beautiful right now. Your lips are swollen from my kisses and your eyes are such a pretty shade of green. They remind me of a beautiful meadow when I look into them.”
“You already are, damn it.” He growled as anger flashed in his eyes. “You’re mine, Zandy. You have been since the moment you woke up on the hood of that Jeep and kissed me. I just didn’t want to admit it at first but you’re my mate and I’m yours.”
“I love what I feel inside you when I do this, Zandy. You grip and squeeze me the more excited you become and you’re so hot and wet. We’re in water and you’re the one soaking me.”
Zandy:
Zandy is my favorite heroine of the whole series. I 100% loved everything about her. She is one fiery redhead... She was sassy, sarcastic, and hilarious as hell. She was outspoken and bold. She told Tiger what she thought and what she wanted and never held back, and I loved that!
“I’ll try to slow down.” “You don’t have to.” She decided to be blunt. “I ache for you.”
"You purr, Tiger. You growl. You’ve got those amazingly beautiful eyes that I love to stare into. You’ve got the sharp teeth. Trust me, I get it. I’m still here naked with you. I’m not afraid. You won’t hurt me. I trust you so stop holding back.”
“You’re my life too. You make me so happy, Tiger. You really are my angel.” He grinned. “An angel, huh?” He lifted her and impaled her on his cock. “Does that feel angelic?” She moaned his name. “Actually, I still think of you as my angel. You take me to heaven all the time.” Tiger thrust up into her. “We’ll go there together.”
“All you had to do was ask, Tiger. I would love to be your mate.” She saw his shock. “Really?”She nodded. “Yes. I love you too. I don’t need to own a super nose to feel addicted to you. My heart already is.”
I loved Bestial and I want and need for him to get a book of his own so bad! Vengeance is so messed up,and I am hoping he will get a HEA too somewhere down the line, because my heart just breaks for him. I was glad that in this book the bad guys are crazy hate groups and not ex Mercile employees. I loved this book it was a damn good and smokin hott read. I am on to the next book. I normally leave my favorite moment below , but this time it's not my favorite moment but more like My Favorite Zandy comebacks, the way she ripped into the bad guys when she was kiddnapped.
Deanie gasped. “Shame on you for even saying that. We’re—” The woman glanced down and gasped a second time. “Sinner! I see that whore’s underwear instead of what should be decent covering for your private area. Tsk, tsk! No wonder you were lured to the dark side.”Zandy blinked a few times. “They had really good cookies and they approved of thong underwear. What can I say? I didn’t stand a chance.”
“You bastard,” Zandy hissed. “Do you know why I think you’re so mean? I bet you have a tiny little dick and have to behave like a huge one, trying to compensate.” The man gritted his teeth and rage turned his face splotchy red. His lips opened but no words came out. “That’s what I thought, tiny dick. Or should I just start calling you prick?” “You bitch!” he yelled. “Dickless,” she taunted. “Enough!” Deanie snapped. “She’s baiting you, Brother Adam.”“Baiting him?” Zandy snorted. “He’s too small. I’d have to toss him back if I caught him.”

Well, we are back to a lot of angst, but it was still really good. There is a ton of humor in these books because of the bluntness of the New Species. They just say exactly what they mean, in a literal way, that is sometimes shocking, but always funny.
In this book we have Zandy and Tiger. Tiger has always been a great character throughout the series. He has been level-headed and humorous, but definitely against being with human women. He makes fun of those who fall for them.... until it happens to him.
What is wrong with me? He wasn't sure but the desire to tend her was strong. A Species female would have hit him by now and never allowed him to coddle her in any way. Zandy stepped closer...
The fact that she was submissive to him without him having to display aggression during sex left him reeling.
No, she's not anything like a Species. This is how it starts, he realized. Those poor males who ended up with human mates had to have felt what he did. Protective. Possessive.
Yeah, it turns out that the New Species females will wrestle the males before submitting to sex. That sounds like fun - not! If I had to wrestle my hubs every time he wanted sex, he wouldn't be getting sex. I don't even go to the gym. I hate having to walk up stairs. I park in parking spots as close to the stores as I can get. There ain't no way I'm wrestling my giant husband at night.
So, Zandy (and, let's not get into why she's named Zandy. Someone was running out of name ideas, me thinks.) starts working at the New Species compound and her job is to work with another human answering mail. The New Species get giant bags of hate mail each day. Much like Donald Trump. Except, his is deserved. (That reminds me, I need to write a letter...)
Tiger wants Zandy, but doesn't. Zandy has been married and divorced twice, so she's not exactly in a rush for lucky number three. So, in comes the angst.
And, guess who else shows up in this book? Our New Species guy from the last one, Vengeance von Rapist. Yeah, the one who tried to rape whatever-her-name-was in the last book shows up to do a smash-and-grab on Zandy.
So, Tiger goes out to his house to kick his ass, and damn it if they didn't somehow make me feel sorry for Mr. Von Rapist! He's just an idiot who wants a mate so badly that he thinks if he catches one, he can convince her to love him. How wrong can you be, Mr. Von Rapist? Women in books never fall in love with their kidnappers!
"I'm so lonely and I would be an excellent mate."
Tiger stalked closer.."You can't just carry one off. It would be cool if it was that easy but it's not."
"I'm skilled at sharing sex and I have learned how to cook. I'm an excellent fighter. I would keep her warm in my arms and die to protect her."
Awww, let's give him something!
So, now I'm hoping Mr. Von Rapist will get a mate. I hate things to be lonely. I can't even stand for my salt and pepper shakers to be separated for very long. They belong together, people!

Absolutely fantastic!
To be honest, I didn't expect much from this book considering the previous installments in this series were really hit and miss for me, but it was actually a real surprise. I didn't expect that it would give me so much pleasure and that I would end up loving it, but I just simply did. I loved it. I loved almost everything about this book!
Despite the fact that the books in this series have all been formulaic to such an extent, and this one contains some of the same elements as the others, I really did enjoy it and speedily turned the pages, anticipating what would happen next.
Normally, when I read the previous books in this series, I had to skim over boring filler and I always felt like the stories were overly long. But I can’t believe there was never a dull moment in this one! It was beyond enjoyable!
The story started off very well. Tiger saved Zandy's life when she was at the bar. She was drunk and thought she was going to die. When she opened her eyes and saw Tiger, she thought he was an angel. She kissed him and they almost had sex on the hood of the Jeep, but then the ambulance arrived. Both of them never thought that their paths would cross again. Later, Zandy was fired because she refused to sleep with her boss, but she got a new job at the NSO where they bumped into each other again. The sparks between them reignited immediately and they couldn't resist the attraction toward each other.
After two divorces, Zandy didn’t believe in marriage no more, while Tiger never wanted a mate, especially female human mate, so they agreed to continue seeing each other for sex only. However, as they spent more and more time together, their feelings grew stronger, deeper, and more intense. Finally, Tiger stopped fighting his desires to claim her as his, but first thing first, he had to prove to her that he was a trustworthy mate.
“You’re mine, Zandy. You have been since the moment you woke up on the hood of that Jeep and kissed me. I just didn’t want to admit it at first but you’re my mate and I’m yours.”
I loved both Tiger and Zandy. Tiger is amazing and Zanday is kick-ass. I admired her stoicism and her bravery.
I couldn’t help but smile from ear to ear as I read the epilogue. It was wonderful! Without a doubt, this is the best installment in New Species series so far.

Tiger is the head of security fot the New Species Organization, aka the NSO. He has sworn to never take a mate because all of his friends have turned into Pussy Whipped Bastards. He won't even sleep with the same woman more than twice as a precaution.
Zandy is out having a few drinks when a bar fight goes nuclear and she is caught in the crosshairs. When the NSO swat team shows up and rescues her, Tiger has to save her. And she thanks him with a little HOT LOVIN on the hood of his jeep!!
Zandy is overwhelmed by Tiger's beauty and his exotic good looks. She thinks she is making out with an angel only to discover that she is molesting a NSO officer. The attraction and chemistry between these two is off the charts!!
Neither is looking for a relationship but their feelings for each other can't be denied. Not to mention they are unable to keep their hands off each other.
Tiger is loosing control and his instincts are taking over as he becomes more in touch with his animal side.

The Hero: Tiger - He is New Species with large cat DNA and is the head of security at the NSO Reservation compound. He is a bit of a player and doesn’t want to settle down with a female. Though from the first time he meets Zandy, he is very attracted to her and can’t seem to keep his hands off her.
The heroine: Zandy - She is human who has been twice divorced and has a home in the town right outside of Reservation and one night she is at a local bar when a huge bar fight happens. I like that we got to know Vengeance better in this book and I wish he had his own story, though I looked and none of the other New Species books are his. I hope he somehow finds a human mate in one of these books, because his is a sad story and all he wants is someone to love.
This book is told in dual points of view via solo narration and was narrated by Vanessa Chambers. Vanessa’s voice is terrific, it is soft and feminine, and she is fantastic at doing a bunch of different voices for different characters. For a book that only has one narrator, she is a great choice.

I waited to get to Tiger's book and here I am, finished and looking at what I've read.
The question now is --- did I like it?
No.
I'm not impressed with the story.
I'm NOT.
Yes, Tiger, I know. And going by what I read, it's an impressive equipment you have - one that you (know how to) use too well.
I keep coming back to this series, no matter how many times I tell myself, "That's it. That's it for me!" I get reeled back in to read more of Ms Dohner's New Species series.
Having said that, I had a tough time liking this book. I just couldn't understand why the author couldn't pull off a new story line.
Tiger - Our sexy hero is the head of security for the New Species Organization. He has sworn to never take a mate esp a human female. He wasn't into commitment and was pretty vocal about it.
Until he met Zandy. As expected, that changed.

New Species heroes and human females meet, have unprotected sex in a small amount of time they got acquainted, females fall in love, NS get massively possessive, something bad happen to females, NS rescue and then they live happily ever after.
The main concept of the story is very interesting though. However, the author is just giving me the very same thing every time I grab the next installment which is very frustrating.
Very disappointed as I have looked forward to Tiger's story.
Having said that though, I want Smiley's book shoved in my eyeballz.

All aboard the mind-crack train! It's back on the rails and I love this book even with all of the stupid shit that happens along the way.
I don't know why, but I don't think Laurann Dohner ever actually learnt how to structure a story properly. I'm yet to read a NS book that actually flows. They always go wildly from sex to drama, to unplanned pregnancy/kidnapping/other miscellaneous and unecessary dramatics, to happy ending. But I'm letting it slide because this one gave me butterflies!
While this was enjoyable and I looked forward to being able to read it, it did have issues that I couldn't look past, for example:
I'm totally not down with Tiger trying to impregnate Zandy without her knowledge or consent. Like, dude. Come on. HOWEVER I did get an amazing Alexa Riley vibe from the whole thing that happened at the end there.
For the head of security, Tiger sure isn't very careful about the security of Zandy. The number of times she gets into trouble in this is ridiculous.
And how many times do I need to say this, guys? Communication is what is needed for a successful relationship. If you two had have been up front about your feelings from the beginning, you could have saved yourself a lot of trouble.
The best bit about this book, was Zandy. HOORAY for a female who won't take any shit from the leading man. When Tiger rips into her after she is attacked, she tells him to get his head out of his ass and that she will not be blamed for being a victim. Then she locks him out of her apartment for being such a dick! A++++++++++ Zandy. Love you! You go girlfriend!
So. Even though I had problems with this, the sex was off the charts, Tiger was a babe (when he wasn't being an idiot) and Zandy was amazing.
I want Smiley's book ASAP but I understand that I have to get through a bunch of other ones first, but I'm no longer dreading the rest of this series like I was a few books ago.
Bring on the next book!

I have to admit I was not liking Zandy from the preview but in context she isnt the slutty ho i was worried about. loved loved loved Tiger possibly my 2nd favorite after Valiant now.
Vengance .. just when you start to hate him you end up kinda caring for him so sad so hoping he gets a HEA!
Midnight ... throw us a Bone Lauranne a novella at least on her hook up with a human please!!

Wild boy! Too much sex in this book :) Constantly. At the car, by the creek, at the forest.
The book had also many funny scenes: Tiger hiding from the others, Zandy and her coworkers at the cafeteria, Tiger trying to keep Zandy forever at the end of the book.

Tiger's story is WHITE HOT!!! The chemistry between he and Zandy is completely OFF.THE.CHAIN. His book definitely lived up to my expectations considering how bad I couldn't wait to read it.
This one was filled with alot of suspense. I really enjoyed how this story was fleshed out and how it all came together. There are some very loving & touching moments in this one as well as a few LOL moments. You will love Zandy's co-worker Richard, dude is hilarious.
Another GREAT installment to this series, I highly recommend this series. This read.

Well, I liked this book a lot more than I thought I would.
Tiger was great, and the fact that he (like the other New Species guys) take things so literal makes it a fun book.
I liked the heroin too, she was a badass in her own way. She got beaten up a few times and (almost) burned but she didn't complain as much as a lot of female characters do in most books. Mostly she just wanted Tiger.
The plot was typical for this series, it's what you would expect, and the sex scenes, as usual, were great. It's a really fun read!

This is quite a good series but i'm kinda getting bored with how they are all the same stories just with different H/h names. If it wasn't for the background story of New Species fighting for the right of survival, freedom and the ability to govern themselves I would seriously be thinking of quitting the series!

Oh my…..this is me when I was reading this book………………
Tiger’s story….have been so looking forward to it. The gorgeous tiger/male species….swoon…

I loved the beginning of this book when Tiger first meets Zandy. Absolutely hilarious.
So, we all know the plot – species meets human female, who falls in love immediately with him…I can understand that…these are gorgeous species!!! Lots of scenting, sniffing, mounting around…..in fact there were so many sex scenes – now don’t get me wrong…I like those…but after one and then another a few pages later and then yet another….and so on…I started skipping those couplings….after all, how much can I read over and over again about licking, you taste so sweet, ooh you are so big – it kind of became a bit repetitive….you know what I am trying to say!!!!
Zandy….well at first I had this idea…what a slut!!!! But, no, she’s actually quite a likeable character and I enjoyed the way she drove Tiger crazy…what’s a girl got to do if the guy is acting like an idiot and can’t see the jewel in front of his eyes!!!!
Love the secondary characters – Creek, Smiley, Moon, Harley and the sad and broken Vengeance.
What an amazing world this author has created…and never mind if it’s far-fetched, that some of the dialogue is totally wacky, that there is so much repetitive sex scenes…….it matters not…because I get such enjoyment and entertainment reading this series.

Tiger’s the confirmed bachelor that’s been around since Fury, typically trying to coerce his friends into giving up their ladies. Initially, I was hesitant to read this because I honestly thought he was an asshole, always talking the earlier H’s into dump their girl/mates, and NEVER taking any responsibility after they reunite. BUT… I’m glad I gave him a chance to redeem himself because Tiger brought it and just what I needed after the disappointment of Wrath.
Tiger is the head of security and #2 to Slade at Reservation. He’s been VERY outspoken about not wanting to ever have a mate…especially not a fragile human. 🙄 He’s a bit of a jokester, but still pretty tough/alpha, and always has his friends backs.
Zandy, is a 31-year old twice divorced gal , so she’s also hesitant to start a relationship, but gets with the program quicker than Tiger. She finds herself in danger because she has reddish hair and the extremist mistake her for Jessie North.
The book starts with Tiger saving Zandy’s life after she was crushed during a bar fight. She wakes to his face and thinks he’s a dark angel taking her to hell, so she jumps him. 😂 The two have an instant chemistry and almost have public sex, but Slash is there to shut it down. She coincidentally gets a job at Reservation, and the two run into each other again. This is definitely an insta-lust-love situation. They are constantly going at it from the start…like almost sex meeting 1, and sex meeting 2.
“I want you more than I’ve ever wanted any female.” His voice came out gruff and sounded a little raw. “I am trying to slow down but it’s so difficult.” Her hands cupped his face. “I want you too. This is insane, isn’t it?” He nodded. “A little, but there is a strong pull between us.”
Bottom Line- I thought it had a Justice 2.0 feel to it with the “keeping it on the DL” and push/pull of commitment/feelings. There’s quite a bit of action with kidnapping/assassination attempts, crashes, and kidnapping/murder plots. **another Vengeance attack, but we get some background that he is SUPER lonely.

- I loved Bestial and Brass
- Also i got a glimpse even from my favorite boys Moon and Harley..
- Smiley got on my nerves at first but i liked him in the end..
- Vengeance has issues.. I wanted to smash his head after what he did, but when he tells his story.. Awwww..
- I loved how romantic Tiger was..
- The sex was hot..
- I loved the first half..
- Their favorite place.. awwwww
And the end..

This get's five stars not because the story is so intricate and imaginative or because the emotion sucked me in and made me cry. But because it was such a great story.
I love these New Species folks and I was enthralled from page one...this novel had plenty of action, excitement and just kept a steady pace right to the end.
Sex is smoken, Tiger is funny, love Vengeance....poor Veng...someone find him a human woman! One of the funniest and saddest scenes is where Tiger is telling Vengeance he can't go all cave man on human women and he is trying to explain to him how to whoo a woman....but he just doesn't get it and breaks down in tears (from a new species male) because he misses his mate and wants a new one. He is lonely. Along with Veng we got to get to know some of the secondary characters from previous books a little better in this novel.
It was romantic, sweet at times, wonderfully balanced between the excitement and the softer, intimate times. I loved these two together, they really seemed to be so well suited. Our boy Tiger bit the bullet and has a baby on the way....This is so funny considering he spent the entire first 7 books making fun of his friends who found their mate and swore off mating to a female himself.....I can only wonder who is next?

Somebody once told me to start reading the ‘New Species’ series if I liked any of the Lora Leigh ‘Breed’ books….
Thus, I started reading the New species ebooks, and promptly decided to throw away all the Breed books. :)
The premises is the same, but the way Laurann Dohner builds up her world? Well it rocks MY world.
I am completely in love with all of her books-still, ‘Tiger’ is now firmly on favorites shelf.
Why?
Well,we have met the anti-species protestors and terrorist in the previous books. Drama, terror and prejudice, just the way I like it! Everything was peachy!
But there was this one part that blew me away…
I got so involved I could almost taste the fear when my heroine was captured by the protestors…there I was,biting my nails…and then this happened…
The bench was eased to the ground and the two large men unfastened her restraints. She’d been flat for so long that she felt a little dizzy
when she sat up. The older woman approached, looking fearful.
“Now, don’t you spin your head at me or anything.”
Zandy’s smart mouth kicked in. “I think you watched way too many horror movies. I’m not possessed.”
The woman frowned. “Do you need to go pee-pee?”
Pee-pee? Really? Just bitchin’. I’ve been kidnapped by idiots who use a two-year-old’s vocabulary. “Yes.”
They didn’t remove the handcuffs which held her wrists locked in front of her. The woman gripped them in the middle and led Zandy over
to one of the campers, tugging on the chain as if she were leading a dog.
“Don’t try anything evil,” Deanie warned. “I’m watching you.”
Zandy’s gaze swept the interior, looking for a weapon but the place was pretty bare. Dishes had all been put away and the woman refused
to release the chain on the restraints. The bathroom was a tiny one.
“Go ahead. You hurry up.” Her voice lowered. “Stop giving my son grief, young lady. You’re trying to make him look bad in front of his
followers. Do you know how hard it was for him to gather so many of them?”
It was a struggle to get her pants undone and use the bathroom with her hands locked together. “No. Not really. I haven’t read much
about cults.”
Deanie gasped. “Shame on you for even saying that. We’re—” The woman glanced down and gasped a second time. “Sinner! I see that
whore’s underwear instead of what should be decent covering for your private area. Tsk, tsk! No wonder you were lured to the dark side.”
Zandy blinked a few times. “They had really good cookies and they approved of thong underwear. What can I say? I didn’t stand a
chance.”
Her sarcasm was totally lost on her captor as Deanie frowned. “What does that mean? What kind of cookies?”
“Oh geez. You people are seriously screwed up. No wonder your kid is so messed up.”
“You’re an evil sinner with a potty mouth. Shame on you.” She turned around and jerked open a drawer built into the wall. She turned,
holding out bright blue shorts. “Remove that whore garment and put this on.”
“Are those swimming trunks?”
“Yes.”
“No.”
“You will. You can’t cleanse your soul when you’re wearing that bright-red sin tempter. We’re trying to save you, not send you to hell.”
“I’m already there, lady.”
Deanie’s face reddened. “Change or I’ll have the men come in here to do it for you. These are clean and pure.”
The thought of Adam or those other creeps taking her pants off made Zandy decide to comply. The men’s swimming trunks were a bit
big but it seemed to have soothed the upset woman when she almost smiled.
“Much better.”
The irony wasn’t lost on her. They were going to burn her to death wearing swimming trunks.
….I laughed my head off. And this is what makes a good author…great suspense, AND humor. Mrs. Dohner made the perfect blend. She should sell the recipe to other writer out there-she would make a fortune! Add in the steamy sex, wonderful romance, and good character development and you have an all around winner!

My second favourite book in this series, it may be book 7, but that in no way means it’s the poor link in the series. The chemistry between Tiger and Zandy sizzles of the page, and I would say this is one of the steamier books in the series, something which so works with the main characters.
The New Species series is my favourite series my Dohner, with a number of books like Tiger happily residing permanently on my kindle.
Tiger is a really enjoyable read and re-read.

El libro me pareció bueno pero ps nada sorprendente.
Vengeance salió poco en el libro y me llamó totalmente la atención... Espero que tenga libro... Solo provoca darle un abrazo al pobre. 🥺

I'm on the verge between "it was ok" and "I liked it" thus the 2.5 star rating.
Quick overview: Zandy (whose name I hated at first but then it grew on me) gets rescued by our New Species hero, Tiger, when she inadvertently finds herself in the middle of a bar brawl. He rescues her and she proceeds to feel him up on the bonnet of a car.
Fast forward a few weeks and Zandy finds herself in the position of needing a new job and she ends up scoring the position in the mail room at Reservation...one of the New Species bases. Obviously, she re-encounters Tiger and they pick up from where they left off on the bonnet and despite the fact that Tiger isn't all that keen on taking a mate, they have lots and lots and lots of sex.
Throw in some action and kidnapping and we gots us a story people!

What I liked:
I liked Zandy and Tiger and I liked them together. It was good romance development and I didn't want to punch either of them like I did with Wrath and Lauren...so yeah. That was good.
That one of the NS males At least it was something different!
Good flow. Pacing didn't seem sluggish like it did with the last NS book.
What I didn't like:
The constant reference to Zandy's 'heat'.WE GET IT They can smell it when she's ovulating and when she's horny.
Zandy sassing out the leader of the hate group. Don't get me wrong, I like that she shows spine, but it seemed unrealistic. If someone was planning to burn me alive I would be mute with fear and peeing my pants. I don't know maybe that's just me. Just seemed a bit unrealistic IMO.
The inner monologue that the characters have drives me batty sometimes. Parts of it just seem so juvenile and stilted. This quote from Zandy really stood out for me.
"Was Tiger okay? Upset? She wouldn’t blame him if he hated humans. She just hoped he didn’t lump her in with the ones who’d attacked Homeland. Were the injured New Species friends of his? She stood and turned off the television. He’d call her and she’d ask him about it. She’d be there for him if he needed her. She put on her shoes and walked to the door, wanting to get to work."
My overall impression: easy and relatively enjoyable paranormal read but I think, for me, the storyline is getting a bit stale. I'd love to see a switch up... New Species female with a human male! 2.5 stars :)

Part in a series but can be read as a STAND ALONE
I enjoy reading Tiger. And to sum up what I feel?
Well, because…
But, I also:
“I feel so empty inside. I don’t sleep well. I force myself to eat and live. Some days I wish I’d died with her. I fought for so many years to survive. You know how strong our will to live is. I lost that when she was killed.”
My heart broke for Vengeance. In Wrath’s book, I just have pegged him to be an animal too wild to be tamed. Unlike Valiant, whom at first when I’ve read a glimpse, I wished to have a mate of his own. But this? I so greatly wish that Flame, Smiley and most especially Ven, who are so fascinated with human female, will find their mate and had a beautiful story of their own.

I now have a new favorite in the NEW SPECIES series by Laurann Dohner.Loved this book,loved this couple together.Did I forget to mention how much I loved Tiger!I think that every girl deserves a Tiger in her life.I have to say that this was the most romantic of the New Species heros in every way.They meet when the heroine Zandy is almost crushed to death in a bar fight and Tiger rescues her,she has passed out due to being sufficated .He takes her outside and places her on the hood of his Jeep,she thinks that she has died and that Tiger is her "Angel".They share a verrry passionate kiss or should I say kisses before they are interupted.They next meet again at Reservation where Zandy now has a job working in their mailroom.Things heats up between this couple and the story moves along nicely.Of course there is the usual holding back by the Hero as he feels that he can not take a mate,esp,a human one at that.He has seen the dangers that a human mate has endured and he does not want that.This does not stop them from having sex,sex,and more sex.I loved the scene by the waterfall,so romantic.Of course, the heroine does get threats ,gets abducted and tied to a cross ,but our hero saves the day.I loved how Ms.Dohner has inc an epilogue as I do not believe she has done so before.All in all,a great read and can not wait for the next which I hope it will be soon.There was a very moving scene with Vengance when discussing his dead mate,my heart went out to him,so very lonley,I hope that he gets a heroine that is worthy of him.Will def be doing a reread on this soon.

Still loving this series. Tiger was always giving the other males a hard time when they mated a human. You can imagine how surprised he is when Zandy rocks his world. Poor Smiley gets rejected, I hope we get a primate love story soon. Bestial (awesome name) is great and so is Jericho. Vengeance really needs some help coping with the loss of his mate, it's so sad.

First of all: If this book was the only one I had read in this serie(they can be read as stand alone books) I would have rated it higher. Tiger has been my favorite new species ever since he first got introduced and he doesn't disappoint in this book. Another great thing about this book is of course Vengeance. And I am pretty sure I am not the only reader wishing he would carry ME into the woods becauce I would not at all fight back.
When that's said, the reason behind my low rating is that I am so sick of these books having the same build up, in _every_ book. The new species universe is wonderful, Dohner has created something I wish I was a part of. But the books by now, for me, are just average because they are all to alike!It's like I've read two species books instead of 7!
When Dohner has created this amazing universe, why doesn't she expand the story? Why don't have two parallel stories in the books instead of having one major love drama and just some minor disturbances from hate groups on the side? Why introduce new species all the time instead of having a little more focus on the species we have grown to love? (Valiant? Where are you? Fury? Hello?)

The book was totally great!!! THE BEST!!! Haha!!! Loved them ALL.. I was so happy to meet all the new species... And Vengeance.. I hope he will have his own mate who will run her fingers through his hair.. He better grow one!! I cant wait for the next!
