Jerry Falwell, Sr. was the founding pastor of the Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Virginia. He co-founded Liberty University with Dr. Elmer L. Towns in 1971. He was also a founding member of the Moral Majority.

This is a decent overview of the Bible. It's like a concise commentary. The commentary is more conservative than one may think even on subjects such as salvation. If you are looking for a deep verse by verse commentary, look elsewhere. But if you are looking for something that is a decent overview, you could do worse than the Liberty Commentary. It's available in both OT and NT volumes on Amazon and other used book sellers.

My husband gave this to me as a Christmas present in 1991, when I started to read it. I finished reading it, bit by b,it toward the end of 1992.
