Sandra Alex is originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, and immigrated to the United States in 1978, to attend an intensive English course in Iowa City, IA, with additional training in transcription of spoken recordings, book editing, and English-Portuguese-English translations. She then moved to Los Angeles, where she currently lives with her husband. An entrepreneur turned creative writer, Sandra worked for ten years towards the publication of her first book while raising a daughter, starting up and running a successful software business with two partners, and consulting for major television studios. Currently, Sandra runs the small production company, Shoot to Film (www.shoottofilm.com), and has launched Livre Press, Inc. (www.livrepress.net) to support her career as a self-publishing author.

Lyxx and Julia

This book is a story of second chance love that had me hoping that this couple could find their way back to each other. Just when you think things are going well surprises come out and changes everything. It sure is a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

This is book seven in The Big Bands, Big Hearts series and it is Lyxx and Julia’s story. Lyxx is the guitarist in The Band Black to Back and loves what he does and made the most of everything that he could but when he meets Julia who is a well known actress and there attraction and chemistry was instant and couldn’t be denied so they started to see each other when they can with them both having busy lives to see if they could make a relationship work between them. Lyxx and Julia became the darlings of the media after their relationship was out in the open and everywhere that they go they are in the limelight and there love becomes even stronger even though they both have full time commitments they see each other when they can and make the most of the time that they spend together. The chemistry becomes stronger and there connection is unique and even though they are the total opposite of each other in every single way and they are so explosive together but then something happens that completely tears them apart leaving them both completely heartbroken and sending Lyxx completely off the rails. A few years later and they meet again in the most heartbreaking way but will this be their second chance to get back together and make it work this time allowing them to eventually get the happiness and future that they always deserved. Wow this book certainly takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions that will have you in tears but the difficult situations are written in such a care and compassion way that it will have you turning the pages unable to put this book down as it was so addictive and I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing series.

"I don't get the chance to tell him that I'm terrified...until it's too late."

I love rockstar romances and books set in the 70s & 80s so this series has been a no brainer for me. In this book, number 7, we have guitarist Lynx and his ex, Julia, in a second chance story that will take you on a ride. I really like a good second chance romance and that's what Sandra has written. She's also very open and honest about the inner workings and drama in two very complex industries. I felt sorry for these two that they were ripped apart and really wanted them to find each other again and make it work. Lots of steam, tons of drama and a few tears, I really loved this story.

Lynx and Julia had me all caught up in this story from start to finish. They were a power couple until a scandal tore them apart. Lynx finds himself falling apart in the aftermath of everything happening. Will they find their way back to each other and will their second chance lead them to the happily ever after they deserve? This is a well written story with dynamic characters I enjoyed connecting with as I cheered them on to getting their chance for happiness.

Julia and Lyxx story is emotional and powerful. It opens with drama and then tells the backstory of how Lyxx came to where he was. Sandra gives us an honest portrayal of life on the road for a rock star and how the movie industry dictates how their star will behave. Julia and Lyxx are drawn to each other and soon become a power couple, but outside forces and Lyxx's way of life soon become a problem. This book will grab you from the beginning and hold you until the end. A must read. I received this ARC and voluntarily give my review.

3.5 stars Lyxx & Julia

This is an emotional second chance story, I was confused to begin with as to who Julia would ultimately end up with as it opens with Blazes pov. I've read the previous books but still had trouble with too many characters inc Ray & Raylin.
In terms of being true to the time period, the 80s and addiction it is very well written but I did find it a little heavier & slower than previous books.

This is the seventh book in this incredible series, and this is Lyxx and Julia’s story.
This is a well written emotional roller coaster, with drama, scandal, heartbreak, friends, secrets, second chances, addiction, informative, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and unpredictable page turner.

He's the hottest guitarist around. She's America's sweetheart actress. Scandal rips them apart, and I spent all my time hoping for them to find their way back together. This is the last book in the series. I'm sorry to see it end, but knowing the author's love of rock music and EVH, she'll be back with something great before long. Thank you to Sandra Alex for providing me with an ebook copy of I'll Wait for me to read and review. What a great addition to the Big Bands, Big Hearts series! This book was filled with challenging topics and issues the characters needed to strive to overcome. It was written wonderfully and showcased the characters struggles and successes so well. The character development was very authentic and relatable. Definitely one I will recommend.
