Absolutely essential for managers who want to understand their own role - and who want a "cheat sheet" for motivational speeches. Feel fully re-energised and ready to attack whoever, whatever, whenever after reading this one.
An excellent collection of the wisdom of General Patton, most of which I had already read before, but presented clearly, and with some interpretation to apply it to business management. We picked this up at the Patton Museum near the California/Arizona border.
Patton's "One-Minute Messages" offers direct, no nonsense advice on a wide range of leadership topics. Of course, you must adapt much of the advice to fit a corporate versus a military context. Well worth reading.
Mostly a collection of Patton’s maxims with a few business pointers thrown in. A worthwhile read for a Patton fan and an acceptable reference by which to quote him, but academics are better left with using Patton’s original papers.
This was a great book. It has a quote on all the pages and then a description on the context of this quote. Then, there is another explanation in the business world by the author. I really enjoyed this and will keep it and reference back to it in the future.
A great read in any business --"your never beaten until you admit it."-- "As long as you can fight, as long as you don't give up, you can never be whipped." Great messages from a great leader.
