I really liked this book, it has a lot of information. whether you have 1 unit or 100, you sometimes need more backing and information. this was one of the books i appreciated and bought when looking for guidance with selecting tenants and running my properties.
This is a great book that discusses the basics of how to be a landlord/ property manager. It talks about how to find, screen, keep, and (should the worst case scenario happen) evict tenants. I liked the plain language format and the straightforward approach of the book.
This book has info that I have not read anywhere else, such as what to do incase of bedbugs or how to reward good tenants.
I would recommend this book for any new landlords or property managers. It can be a tough position, and this book can simplify the job.
If you literally never have rented an apartment or watch any online video, this is a starting space. But its 20+ years old. When a 'hot new amenity' is internet access or using a computer for accounting, you need the find newer information. This is the basic of basic intros. Good foundation to build from; but you MUST have more if you want to succeed in the future.
Waste of time. I've managed property for 210 plus years and find nothing new or even informative. Lots of half baked ideas that don't work in the real world.
I read this book looking for the ins and outs of how I am treated as a tenant. It had insightful information about rules and regulations property managers adhere to. Additionally, it gives some interesting insight into how property managers view their relationship with the tenant.
