A well researched and thorough account of the strangeways riots from the perspective of the prisoners, and their supporters who were there at the time. I found it interesting particularly reading about the effects that the protests had in the years after, a reminder of why they can be so important and if it weren't for protests that have happened historically the issues that were present wouldn't have been brought to light due to the way the system is constructed, and so pressure to make changes to it would not have come about.

Most detailed book I've found about the Strangeways riots. Very interesting but also very biased.
