Well written and thoroughly researched. Sheds light on one of the darker periods of Canadian history. The author reviews the events that unfolded in the mid 19th century from the perspective of the native populations of the prairies rather than that of the British or Canadian governments. Very interesting history and highly recommended.

Crowfoot, Piapot, Poundmaker, Big Bear: outstanding Canadian history written in pageturning style. Great stories, well told. Loved it.
