Watching as Haruto and Miyabi learn to communicate as a couple was super relatable. They struggle to communicate what they're feeling accurately as they both struggle to balance work and time together. I loved watching them work it out. I can't wait for more.

It’s nice to see the happy couple together after their mating! I like that isn’t all sunshine and roses though, that they have things they really need to talk about and work out. Especially Miyabi and his horrible childhood; Haruto isn’t going to know if he doesn’t tell him.

PS I loooove Haruto’s family 🥺

A Boys Love Manga where our sweeties Kita & Haru are now in college!
This is vol 2 with 5 chapters + a bonus, it has more fast paced storytelling than vol 1. The story is also cuter (& way less dark) as our couple's already established but it's still got the heart touching moments 🤧.

I easily read the Vol 2 in one-seating!

Kita (Omega) & Haru (Alpha) are now living together & have started in University. With a new environment, new problems arise too. There's jealousy, fears, insecurities but at last communication prevails!

Kita's trauma & questioning himself breaks my heart but I also felt it was a realistic description of someone who had went through so much. Haru is such a sweet, caregiver but this time around Kita wants to take care of him too & not only be the damsel (so to speak). It's not all cute with its emotional hits & shows how relationships are always a work in progress ❤️.

Honestly, we all need a man like Haru who won't give up on us ever 😭❤️. I also love Haru's family! If there's another Vol of these 2, I'll definitely be reading it!

P.s. So I totally thought that Haru's Omega Mom was a female (as Mom..?) but the pronouns used here is "he" so I'm confused about it as in American Omegaverse stories it's still daddy for Omega parents too. It's not a big deal for a side character but I do dislike the heteronormative-ism in most mangas, ugh.

Comic rating:

1) The Characters: 5/5
2) Story feels: ☺️🥺😄😣😬😧🥰😢🤧🥵😏🤭😅🥺🥰
3) Art: 4.5/5 (not colored)
4) Sexy/Steamy scenes: Yes (short but couple!)

Firstly I want to say that I absolutely loved the artstyle. But I was a little disappointed with the character development of Ichijo and Kitahara. While ✨miscommunication✨was at its finest, both characters kept their insecurities of book one, which was kinda upsetting. I really hope we’ll get to see some changes in the next book.
Other than that, it was adorable to see how their everyday life with each other works out!

Nothing much is going on in this volume, but I guessed they are saving it for the next volume, but one thing I like about this volume is that the main focus was on their relationship and establishing communication so that was pretty nice to see.

Cart wait for vol 3 .

This book was almost exclusively a misunderstanding plot from start to finish. Not my favorite approach for a newly established couple, but I was happy it ended in communication and them sitting down and talking, not just some sudden realization that they just had the wrong idea the whole time.

Didn't like this as much as the first one. It was a lot more trope-y. I also didn't like Haruto as much. He was so kind and thoughtful in the last volume, but was just blinded by jealousy.

where to read: inkr

Cuties :) They didn't touch on the things I thought they were going to in this volume. They're saving it for next volume, I guess. This volume mainly focused on further establishing the relationship and showing their life in college. I almost forgot this was omegaverse until I saw the bite and they started talking about mates lol. I liked this volume, although not as much as the first. I did really like that the main focus was on their relationship and establishing communication with each other, though.

Eh. I think I'm ending my reading here for this series. While the art is pretty, some of the smiling scenes can be creepy if you look at it long enough ahah. (But my decision to stop reading isn't because of the smiling).

The story doesn't seem to be going anywhere. The insecurities that show up in volume one persist in volume two and come to a head with one of the guys running away and staying at a friends' house.

Character/relationship development where?

As much as I loved Haruto and Miyabi in the first volume, I don’t really feel this volume was needed. I was happy with how it ended the first time and knowing Miyabi was working on his trauma. Haruto was by his side helping him through everything. They were starting their lives as mates.
This second volume made me feel like their relationship regressed. It was very angsty with Miyabi’s insecurities front and center. They both were scared of losing the other but couldn’t say it. They instead argued quite a bit.
I was really thrown off when Miyabi stayed the night with another guy. Miyabi is an omega who is still getting over the trauma of everything said and done to him by his family, students, etc. I feel like he wouldn’t just stay at some other guy’s house. He’s unprotected and vulnerable while sleeping. No way he’d step out of his comfort zone. It took him forever to even let Haruto be near him.

Idk I’m happy pretending their story ended after volume one. They had struggles but made it work. Looks like there will be a third volume but I’m not going to read it if so 😔

Not quite what I was expecting. This volume shows their relationship now that they’re mates, living together and in college. The cover makes you think that they’re a happy couple now but there’s actually a lot of angst and conflict between them. To be honest this almost feels like a different story to me. First of all the art style changed. I kept feeling thrown off every time I see the alpha protagonist flash his big, toothy, squared grin. It felt really out of character and out of place. Not only is his appearance very different, but I also feel his personality is very different too and not in a good way.

This series is my absolute favorite! It’s wholesome and heart warming with beautiful artwork and characters.

The volume follows Miyabi and Haruto two months after volume one as mates living together and attending the same college. However as Miyabi becomes popular, Haruto struggles with containing his feelings. On the other hand, Miyabi struggles with his desire to be independent and an equal to Haruto. As both understand their feelings for each other, they learn to adapt and grow together.

The misunderstandings arising in this volume are realistic and common. It also wasn’t a random event but understandable given their personalities. Miyabi lacks self confidence and is scared of Haruto leaving him. His fears were justified and given he has trouble communicating his feelings it was easy to fall under self doubt. Haruto, on the other hand, has always been a giver. Wanting to give everything so the person he cherishes and loves the most smiles. It was interesting to see Haruto also having a selfish side which may have been the enabler of his overly giving nature. Luckily the misunderstandings didn’t last long and after some communication were cleared.

What I liked about this series the most was how the misunderstandings didn’t occur from a third party but the main characters themself. Honestly, there isn’t even any room for anyone else between these two and I would love for it to stay that way. This simple concept was written and captured perfectly in this volume.

The other characters in this manga are wonderfully pleasant and supportive. They are all very nice and wholesome, except Miyabi’s family since I don’t forgive them for how they treated Miyabi. Currently most of the other characters don’t have a predominant role in the series but I would love to read a spin-off series about Haruto’s parents.

The artwork in this series is an absolute treat. It’s detailed, stunning and just takes my breath away. Each re-read I see something different that I missed before and it makes the experience all the more enjoyable. There are a lot of subtle changes throughout. The facial expressions are perfectly captured and the shading is like the icing on a cake. I do not have enough words to express how much I enjoy the artwork.

Overall, this is one of my favorite series that I can always go back to and know I’ll enjoy just as much as I did the first time. The bonus chapters are always a treat and there is a teaser for season three. I’m eagerly looking forward to the next volume!

Miyabi and Haruto now lives together, so you get to see some of their shared domestic life. They study at the same university, and they both have part-time jobs.

Miyabi is still struggling with his insecurities and self-hatred because of his traumatic past, but you can see that he has grown as a person, and he’s still growing as a person and becoming more confident.

Haruto is just as sweet and kind as always, wanting to protect and take care of Miyabi, and he only has to learn that Miyabi doesn’t want him to only take care of him, but Miyabi wants them both to take care of each other and their life together.

There are some misunderstandings and arguments between them which sometimes just happens in life, but I think they have good communication in the end, and they both respect and listen to each other.

Vol. 1 / Vol. 2

Volume 1 was fantastic. However, volume 2 stumbles with direction. It has the drawback that this could be considered a regular BL manga since it doesn’t use its Omegaverse assets. And it's heavy on the plot for the amount of time it has. This by no means takes away from the fantastic story being told here.

You can treat this part as more of an in-between piece. I’d advise tempering expectations before going in, or the structuring might frustrate you. Nonetheless, I think there’s fun to be had here. If it looks interesting to you, give it a chance!

Who is this manga for
This sweet omegaverse is for fans of an Omegaverse that’s more on the consensual side between the main leads. If you don’t mind the volume being a transition piece, this manga will likely be well-received by fans of the genre!

-BL, omegaverse
- green flag alpha
- spicy 🔥 scenes

Absolutely LOVE the art and details that are put into the characters!
Volume two the both are now living together, working part time and going to university.
Haruto starts to feel jealous and keeps doting on Miyabi, which is creating it's own problems. Miyabi, who has overcome some of his own issues, is now wanting the two to basically rely on each other and not have Haruto take on everything by himself.
Haruto even though is showing jealousy more, he is still one of the sweetest and one of the greenest flag Alphas toward his omega. I really hate how the one character questioned their relationship all over the fact they call each other my their last names instead of first. I was keeping my inner voice in check but inside was yelling don't stir up or get in their way... When Miyabi says Haruto's name you feel his embarrassment and Haruto's happiness. I'm interested to see where volume three takes us.

read the first volume last night which wasn’t my favorite - it was good but a little intense for me. if you ever read it please read trigger warnings beforehand.

this second volume was perfect though! i love a story that gets resolved by the end & these two handled their issues together so beautifully. seeing them navigate the way they communicate with each other and figure out what works best for them bc they love each other so much was refreshing. it felt very real rather than just a surface level relationship. there’s a teaser for vol 3 so i’m curious to see what happens!!

anyways it’s definitely not for everyone but this second volume i highly recommend :)

Miyabi and Haruto are in college together, but it's not all sunshine and roses. We rarely see Haruto in a classroom setting, with the only indications of school really being telling Miyabi he can focus more on his studies and meeting up for lunch. Otherwise it's a lot of coworkers and domestic scenes with more insecurities, especially when it's brought up how alphas can have multiple mates, not that Haruto has any plans or desire to do so. Misunderstandings aside, it's clear these two still care about each other, and the domestic scenes are adorable, especially Haruto's birthday and when they visit his family.

Like the first volume, this manga is fun to follow. The dynamic between the main characters is pretty exciting. Even though there are some misunderstandings, they manage to communicate well, so conflicts don't drag on or involve others.

After reading the second volume, I can't wait to read the third one. I think it will be even more exciting because Miyabi's family will get the spotlight, so the story is bound to be more emotional and require a lot of patience while reading.

Again, cute. Similar issues as last time, but like, this takes place only a few months from the end so I guess it makes sense their issues aren't really resolved since their communication needs serious work still. I don't just wanna blame Miyabi, but also Haruto, like bro, just tell him WHY you wanna take care of him. You both love each other, and you both wanna care for each other. Boom. Done. Work it out now.

Is that it? I was disappointed that there was no "serious" development in this volume. The first one managed to surprise, but this one fell short of expectations. The art is beautiful and it was possible to see a little more communication between these two, but that was it. I think I'll end this series here, because effectively both characters kept all the insecurities that came from the first volume and I feel that the story doesn't have much more room to grow. Let's wait and see.

Really enjoying this series so far, the art style has changed a little in this one but it's not a dramatic change luckily.
This volume follows the progression of their relationship now that they've become mates and have moved out to go to University. It's definitely a sweet read with some miscommunication between the MMCs but I can't wait for the next one!

Not as enjoyable as the first. I felt like I related to Miyabi in the first book and then in this book he became a toddler. I guess that’s the Omega way but damn, it was a little much. Also when the author talked about struggling to figure out what this book should be about, I could tell, it’s good but the first one was way better. Book 3 should be interesting whenever it comes out.

The conflict is mostly miscommunication but this doesn't have the violence the first volume had. It had some bits and pieces of jealousy which I LOVE. But we get some sweet things too: wanting to take care of each other, buying cute gifts, family caring about one another in a supportive way. 3.75

This volume is much less traumatic this time around. But it definitely does deal with young, inexperienced, traumatized people navigating their first serious relationship. It was a nice refreshing read compared to the first volume. My soul healed slightly. Kinda.
