Growing up in the south where the air is thick with stories steeped in legend and truth, Debra came by her love of romance novels honestly. Well…sort of. At an early age, she pilfered from her grandmother’s extensive library and has been a fan of the genre since.

A full time freelance writer, Debra especially enjoys combining history, mystery and a touch of taboo to weave stories with unforgettable, haunted heroes.

She lives in Alabama with her sexy real life hero, a couple of smart-aleck ghosts and a diabolical black cat.

NOTE: May contain spoilers

I really love the crafting in this story. I've enjoyed most of Glass's books and "Lucid" is one of my favorites. It is an erotic fantasy, not erotic romance, so readers seeking a love story and HEA might feel short-changed. Taken for what it is, "Lucid" is an excellent short read concerning a woman's sexual awakening with the ultimate fantasy lover.

Afficionados of foreign travel and Romantic poetry don't want to miss this story.

Loved this book, and you know what? :) I think Lord Byron would be very pleased with her depiction of him! Fantastic job, Ms. Glass!

It was a dark and stormy night...

Wait, let's start again. One dark and gloomy night in an old manor, a shy librarian decides to partake in a bit of absinthe while dressed in period costume. There's only one possible scenario that could come about from this. Why of course...Lord Byron (THE Lord Byron) shows up from out of nowhere and seduces the young woman.

I liked this take on a time traveling/ghost fantasy. LB was hard to resist. I wouldn't have questioned much either if I was in the same situation. Especially sweet was the notion that his experience with a woman from present day seemed to have inspired LB's The Dream. It was a fun little tie-in.

The end made me a little sad, but it was done in a way that was also satisfying. Sigh...if only the past and the present could find a way to intermingle for real.
