I decided to take a few days before writing this review coz i was fuming. This book pissed me off in so many different ways 🤬😩😤 I was screaming and hurling insults on my commute home / alone in the house (I can definitely confirm that I sounded like a friggin village idiot or rather a stark raving lunatic - you pick!)
Busisekile Khumalo threw every wicked curveball you can imagine at Farrah, everything that could possibly go wrong DID GO WRONG and poor uFreckle Face ka Banzi suffered dearly. Mara ma'am, when was this poor child supposed to catch a break huh?!?!?!? 🤦🏽♀️ Also, the story was so dragged out (I get that you're trying to push the story to the 3rd book but damn sis) - there were so many opportunities where Farrah could have been rescued from all the horrors she endured but no, the poor girl must suffer! Haibo, mntwana ka Nura suffered argh!!!!
Poor Nura didn't deserve such a brutal and inhumane ending, rest her soul 🤍🕊️
Don't even get me started on Zainab 😖😤 I get that she had Farrah's best interests at heart but Who died and made you God my dear to let you dictate how people's lives play out? 😑🤬😤GTFOHWTBS please and thank you!!!! She had the resources to protect both herself and Banzi's family from her father's wrath but she chose to cower away in fear of that monster She was such a likeable character that just made horrible choices that cost everyone so much.
As for that ass Banzi, WTF was even that in the club bruh? Mxm! 🤬😤 That whole mess led to such a rushed ending and what the hell even was that ending.
A pile of rage bait is exactly what this book was! 🙄 I really did not like this one at all, I hope the last book will be redeemable.
