The best book so far

Much more cohesive, good pace, excellent story line. The fussiness of the main characters weird romance, calmed down and the conclusion brought the story to a new level that opened the way for more stories together.

Another excellent historical mystery, woven around the two main characters, Edward and Catherine, and many sub characters. Taking place in England, the characters are in Catherine's family's old haunts. The story is full of twists and turns that had me changing my mind multiple times on "who done it." A great read. I've already pre-ordered the next book in the series.

A dangerous trip down memory lane

A harrowing investigation is set before Edward if he wants his heart’s desire to come true. So he sets his sights on finding a killer. Not just any random case a very personal one, the murderer of Catherine’s mother ten years prior. He is not sure he’s up to the task but London calls and he answers. Secrets and skeletons abound when he starts digging and dangerous men start hunting him and those close to him together him to stop. He’s a man on a mission and he won’t stop until he gets answers.
An absolutely delightful story! Full of intrigue and lots of action. Memories of the past and hopes for the future. I adore Edward he’s a progressive man of the times, flawed yet determined, loyal and intelligent. Left without money he nonetheless forges a path for himself even when it’s difficult. Catherine is a perfect foil to him. She’s bright when he’s brooding, clever and intelligent, determined to be independent when it was a dirty word. The two of them and some friends and associates make for some engrossing trips into the past to solve thorny issues. I’m very excited to see what the future holds for these two!
I received an ARC from the author. This is my honest review.

This is book three of the Edward Tyrington Mysteries. Edward, desperate to win over Catherine's heart and make her his wife, has to somehow solve the ten-year-old murder of Catherine's mother. Armed with the ultimate mission of the heart, Edward digs deep to uncover secrets and skeletons long buried. There's a ton of action and thrills as the indomitable couple forges ahead to discover the truth and, hopefully, secure their future together. I enjoyed this book.

This takes place in London and the surrounding areas. Edward is on a mission to solve a ten year old murder, that of Catherine’s mother. He is hoping that once Catherine knows the truth, she may agree to marry him. Of course, Catherine has to help in the investigation but she also values her independence. There are a number of secrets to be revealed, there were things that Catherine didn’t know about her mother. There are a number of dangerous events that will keep you on the edge and of course, wondering what Catherine’s answer will be. This was an engaging read that I didn’t want to put down. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Edward Tyrington was asked by Catherine's father to investigate the murder of his wife Florence. He had to get Monsieur Miele's permission to go to London. Catherine follows but is furious and tells Edward to leave the investigation. But Edward continues and takes the help of Dean Anson .There is real danger as they go about looking for clues. A exciting read with a great finish. I received this ARC copy and leave a honest review. I recommend this book to other readers.

This is the third book in the series but the first one I have read. It can be read as a standalone but it would have been more interesting to know the past completely. I found the story was well written and flowed well with interesting characters. The plot was well paced and it kept me guessing till the end. It was a very enjoyable read and will look forward to reading more by this author. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Edward and Catherine are at it again and this time it's even more personal. It's hard not to enjoy yourself when these two get to sleuthing - they're a very modern couple for the times, and they are surrounded by a great collection of secondary characters. The places and the clothing add color, but supporting it all is an excellent story that carries you along. You won't want to put it down until you get to the end.

In this book we are following Edward as he is trying to solve ten years old murder case. Would he be able to find a murderer in situation when police couldn't do it shortly after murder happened? I read this book, full of suspense, with big interest, I enjoyed following protagonists through their search and adventures, and how they learnt to support each other.

A Death to Investigate/Intrigue/Deceit!

While investigating a murder from 10 years earlier there remains a question of whether the answers lie in the coded diary. Attempting to decipher it poses many questions & that leads to disguises to gain access to find the truth.

These are fun reads but need to be edited more carefully. I keep getting jolted out of the illusion cast by fiction due to misspelling or typos.

1863. Edward Tyrington is asked by friend John Briggs to investigate the murder of his wife Florence. She was killed ten years ago in London, and daughter Anna was at first accused.
An entertaining and well-written historical mystery.

A very exciting installment. The answer to Catherine's mother's death was summed up a bit quickly at the end but it made sense. I'm still a bit put off by Joelle. She seems too outlandish for the times.
