In this book an attempt has been made to discuss in detail, the western ideologies like Utilitarianism, Evangelicalism, Orientalism and Liberalism and Comtes’ Positivism. These ideologies were truly instrumental at the initial stages but it lost its glamour within a shorter period of time being. However, such ideologies focuses on the sharp tactics of the alien power, specially how to dominate in each and every part of the world. British ideologies were more or less grafted a perfectscenario of the actual condition of the social structure during those days in India and abroad. In this respect it can be categorises as a clinical performance from a master mind like the mighty British. The early period of modern Indian history thus followed the tradition of a new regime which was totally out an out modern.

I want to rate it higher, but too many broken English and spelling mistakes made it hard to read. In some Chapters, the flow is good, fewer incorrect spelling, but specifically in the Positivism Chapter, it looks like the Author wrote that Chapter while half asleep. Please carefully review and edit the incorrect spelling and broken English in future edition...
