I absolutely love One Prayer Away by Lauren Fortenberry! One Prayer Away is a 90 day devotional filled with uplifting devotion entries with prayers and quotes sprinkled through out. I used One Prayer Away as my own personal Devotion Time, often reading more than one entry a day. One Prayer Away really Ministered to me and I gleaned a lot from it. If you are looking for an encouraging devotional, then I highly recommend One Prayer Away by Lauren Fortenberry! Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the opportunity to read this book. Quite possibly one of the most beautiful devotionals I have ever read. I truly know God used this book to walk with me through a very difficult time in my life.
I began reading this book back in January just after the new year. It should have taken me 3 months to read as is only a 90 day devotional. I set it down for a few months somewhere along the way when life got really busy. Then the heartbreak came and I picked it back up again and the following pages of devotions were like God speaking directly to me as I walked through this unexpected heartbreak phase of life. It was amazing to see God work and move and speak so directly and clearly through these pages! It’s as if He made me set the book down back in March to say “I’m going to have to pause here because you’re really going to need these words in a few months and I want to speak them to you when the time is right.” Anyways, I will forever be grateful for this book and will definitely come back to read it through again and again.

I love this devotion! It is very short and sweet, but loaded with a lot of truth. Each devotion is punctuated by a prayer that are also rich. The book is divided into three parts covering various topics. Part one is "When the beginning is broken", covering anxiety, overwhelm, strength and direction. Part two is "When the middle is messy", covering self love, self worth, hope and promise. Part three is "When the future is faith-filled" covering healing and peace. Despite being given an advanced reader copy of this book, I actually want to purchase it so I can go back and reread it! Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Gift for this ARC!

This is such a beautiful, uplifting book. The pages literally touched my heart and made me cry and kept me strong as I continue to fight a four year chronic health battle that is excruciatingly painful. I highly recommend this daily devotional.

This was such a beautifully written and illustrated devotional. This 90 day devotional was so uplifting and faith filled. Each day starts with a wonderfully written devotion, scripture to back up that devotion and then a prayer. This devotional will help you with your walk with God and bring you closer to him. This book is faith building, it shows you hope and promise, healing and strength all while living you up and closer to God.

The book is truly beautiful and would make a perfect gift for any woman in your life. I plan on sending one to my sister in law and buying one for my mom as well.

One Prayer Away by Lauren Fortenberry is a beautifully designed devotional. Each day is formatted the same way: A short, encouraging commentary, a bible verse, then a brief prayer. Each day takes only a single minute to read, making it a great choice for anyone who's strapped for time and energy, or who's trying to develop a daily habit. Would also make an uplifting gift for the women in your family and friends groups. And, for those who journal daily, it would be a good starting off point each day.

I rated this book 4/5 stars. The small time commitment required each day is great for a lot of people, but I happen to prefer a little more substance in my daily devotional.

One Prayer Away: Healing Words to Speak Over Your Day by Lauren Fortenberry has been a faithful companion to me over the past six months. I read the daily entries as a positive way to start off my day with comfort and encouragement. When I finished Day 90, I restarted the book, and it was well worth the second read.

The 90 daily readings in One Prayer Away were short. Each entry had a primary statement with encouragement and spiritual truths that supported the main idea. This was followed by a Scripture verse and a prayer. I found comfort in reading these thoughts and praying the provided prayer. Often, the book spoke to my situation with the encouragement I needed. Topics included: anxiety, overwhelm, strength, direction, healing, peace, and more.

I have read so many devotionals in my lifetime, but none like this. This was written for women and spoke to my heart deep down. I loved this so much, that I bought a copy for my wonderful friend and plan on a few more as Christmas approaches. This was like sitting down with a close friend and having her just get it, understanding all we endure and experience as women and as people as we go through this wonderful but at times painful life that sometimes is so very hard to understand. I wanted to say thank you to the author, God really lead you on this. I looked forward every morning to my coffee and sitting down with this. My only wish was that it was longer. I hope you write another one, like a year long one, I just loved it so much. I felt this to my bones and like you and many others Im so grateful for my saving faith and my friend Jesus. Thank you Lauren!!!

Love this Devotional. One Prayer Away by Laure Fortenberry is a 90 day devotional covering anxiety, direction, self, healing and peace. It is a great way to start your morning and bring you closer to God. I highly recommend. I bought a copy for myself to continue my journey.

Lauren is amazing ❤️ right off the bat, every entry felt like it was written just for me. Dealing with PMDD in the height of struggle when I cracked this book open and it started healing me. I loved it. Not every entry felt moving but I appreciated the daily prayer. Many that I said out loud myself. Lauren will always be one of my favorite writers.

This is my new favorite devo. The way the author wrote it is fun and unique. She broke the book into four sections. And you can tell she put her heart into her words. The photos are gorgeous, geared toward women. I highly recommend it.

Won this on goodreads! A delightful, uplifting book to read everyday with very encouraging words. A few drawbacks:
Some print was so small, it was very difficult to read the bible verses and prayers.
The prayers did not end in: In Jesus' name, Amen.
The punctuation, while written in poetic form, I believe, was difficult, at times to understand.
Otherwise, as written before, a very delightful and encouraging book. I would recommend.
