Raw burn becomes the shortest of the 8 novellas in the series. The novella brings more of the same, little progress in the relationship between Tanner and Natalie, a brief and nice birthday party for Natalie, continued jealousy on Tanner's part, brief snippets about our supporting characters, clothing, food, travel , sex and the shortest resolution to Natalie’s jealous moment ever.
I have to laugh, Tanner has had 7 books filled with jealous, possessive, controlling behavior, always thinking other men want Natalie, but never coming face to face with it in reality, and the two times that Natalie has seen Tanner in compromising situations with other women it is quickly explained away in maybe 2 pages, and followed up with loving conversation, and verbal statements of his love.
I have had such hope for this series, saw so many moments for plot expansion, suspense, conflict and resolution, promise, and excitement. I have instead been swamped in brand name dropping, character clothing descriptions, food and wine descriptions, highlights from various countries, and similar sex scenes (there are a few very good sex scenes throughout the novellas though). The promising storylines of our supporting characters have been reduced to a few mentions in each novella and then quickly forgotten.
The writing style remains the same, flowing well for a while, then becoming somewhat choppy. The sexual language has been on an adult level thought-out the novellas, but the repetitive use of words (moan, pant, groan, wanting more, came hard) did become tiring after a while. I really wish there had been more plot spread throughout the novellas, with many tasteful, hot, descriptive, titillating, uniquely different sex scenes fitting the sexual moments supporting the storyline and our characters sexual discoveries.
In my heart I would love to reward the author’s efforts with a 3 star rating, but in truth I have to make this a 2 star read. I just don’t feel I was given enough story, growth by our H/h, or resolution to some of my pet peeves thought-out the series.
I do look forward to see how this is wrapped up in the last novella, but I suspect I already know the answer.

This review is meant for installments #4 through #12.
Our dominant billionaire Tanner continues to amaze and enrapture Natalie. Being so innocent, Tanner is taking charge of her sex education into the dark corners of passion.
These installments give us very hot sexy scenes plus plot and character development showing the changes this passionate romance has on both our main characters. Owning her own sexuality is difficult for Natalie. She has grown from an innocent virgin, into Tanner's goddess of kink. In order for her to accept her desires, she has had to come to believe that what she is feeling is not a deviant desire where she can loose her sense of self. Tanner's patience and understanding is the catalyst to enabling Natalie to come to terms with reality. Our author has done a great job of developing these characters to the point you as the reader will feel deeply empathetic to their feelings and handling of the obstacles that arise.
Tanner's jealousy is forever an issue. Whether because he is so controlling or because he feels insecure, his reactions are meteoric if any man looks at Natalie or he perceives any interest on her part toward a male person.
It impressed me how Natalie's character reacts to Tanner's emotions. Although she might be upset with him, she never really looses control of her temper and always reacts with deep love and understanding. Somehow the love she feels for him helps her deal with his temper and remain loving and forgiving. I think this is why once he has calmed down, Tanner always promises to do better and his love grows for her. Now if she would only concede to not dressing so alluring when they go out, he might be able to deal with his jealousy better.
This was a great series to read. It is erotica at its best! Full of love, passion and sexual encounters that are each uniquely orchestrated and described. Top that with a plot line that draws you in and you have a winner!

I received a free copy of this novella in exchange for an honest review. This is the 7th in the series, and I give it 5 stars.
I think this installment is probably the shortest one so far, but still had me on the edge the entire way through. I would have thought by this time that Tanner and Natalie would be more secure with each other, but both still continue to exhibit jealousy and insecurity. Natalie seems to finally be developing a comfort level with her sexuality, but when she hears Tanner on the phone with a woman, she immediately becomes jealous and insecure. Tanner, still learning about this thing called love, can’t stand the thought of any other man admiring Natalie, even though by now he should know he has basically ruined her for ALL other men.
This was a bit of ride…a couple of twists and WOW moments, along with an “Oh no he didn’t”. The birthday party Tanner put together for Natalie was amazing. Described so well the reader actually feels like they are there. With all that Natalie has, she feels a pang of jealousy when she finds out her friend Cheryl has eloped. Probably because she in the middle of a pregnancy scare, but we’ve seen this jealousy about married before when Jazzy got married. And exactly WHY is Tanner kissing Natalie’s assistant?
Only one installment left to see what else can happen, and where Natalie and Tanner end up. Can’t wait.

The story continues on from book six, with Tanner and Natalie further exploring their sexuality. Natalie has found that she rather likes Tanner dominating her and receiving punishment when she displeases him. You could even say she goes out of her way to anger him by her wardrobe choices!
Natalie's jealous side rears its ugly head in this book, but have they really fully committed to each other, does she have any say?! Although her business seems to be getting wings, it is suddenly made all too clear to her that she wouldn't be where she is without the input from Tanner and his support, but can he take it away just as quick?
Tanner faces his own struggles in this book, his complete fear of losing Natalie, but also the surfacing emotions that he didn't predict that he had, can he embrace these to give them both the happily eve after that the both desperately want?
Loving this series so much, can feel that when I read the final book I'm going to have a severe book hangover!
Highly recommend this series who loves new adult as much as I do!

Not that I was ever out of the loop with these books but this one just wound me up. I really really enjoyed it. I was starting to get a bit burned out on all the sex but was still so in tuned with the love story that I just couldn't put them down. In Raw Burn Natalie has a situation shes not sure how to handle or what Tanner will think. This eats at her and she becomes "ill". Moving past this she faces so other insecurities about her relationship with Tanner. His jealousy and controlling tendencies drives her crazy. But more than once she finds herself being a bit jealous. She is so wound up that it almost seems like shes expecting everything to fall apart. I will have to say that this was one of my favorite of the series for the fact that Natalie and Tanner visited Brazil during fashion week. If you have read the Adam and Ella series you'll understand why i'm saying this. I was definitely on the edge of my seat during this one. I was so caught up in the moment. I can't wait to read the next book to see where things go. I would really like to see another trip in the near future to Brazil but we shall see.

This is the 7th installment of the 8 books. This one was a real quick read. Focused on Natalie's birthday and Tanner giving her a surprise birthday party. And a overwhelming scare of pregnancy.
Tanner is really getting the hang of this LOVE thing. Something he didn't think he could or would be able to door even admit to himself that he wants something more with Natalie.
Her sister has gotten marry, and she finds out her old roommate and Dani have eloped. There is some envy going on with Natalie, but not enough to give Tanner the ideal that she wants the same thing the other couples are doing.
A little bit of "no you didn't" in this installment when Natalie receives stange call from her assistant, and un-returned calls from the fashion stores in different countries who are displaying her designs. Did Tanner do it as a punishment?
Only one installment left to see what becomes of Natalie and Tanner.

I am hoping for a really strong ending in the finally instalment!!

Still can't get enough of tanner and Natalie romance. It was a quick read. I don't know how Emily put so much in one book. I guess not too much drama but straight to the story. Natalie had no idea of her birthday. Tanner made it a success like always. His love is showing more and more. Natalie loves him so much but wants a future with him but knowing he will never offer. As reading the book you know he's trying to offer her commitment but you can see within time. Natalie friend gets married. She is happy for them but wants that too. The sex scenes is amazing. Just when you think something is going to happen, the writer gives you a surprise. I really love the story. Can't wait to read the last of the series.

Received this for an honest review. There were some OMG moments in here for me. Tanner and Natalie have a deep intense love and connection. They are strong together. They have this connection and it's endearing for me. Tanner is so sexy to me. He is the Alpha male that has this soft side and I can't get enough of him. He has no problems with intimacy no matter what he believes. Natalie is really coming into her own sexuality and doesn't fear it anymore. Tanner encourages her and loves her no matter what. I love watching him come into his own feelings in regard to Natalie. Can't wait for the next one to see how this amazing story ends. I will miss them!

I received a free copy of this novella in exchange for an honest review. I give this novella a 4 Star. Natalie continued to growth in to the own person. She felt more independent as she kept defining Tanner of what she wore. There was a scare that Natalie thought she was pregnant. Her reactions were normal giving that she was not sure what the future holds for her and Tanner. It turned out she was not pregnant. Tanner continued to work on his feelings for Natalie. They bought a house together. Does that mean we'll see Tanner commits to Natalie in the final installment of this series? I sure hope so.

I have to say this book was the most heart felt one of them all so far. It was an emotional roller coaster the whole ride ! From trust issues to elopement to birthdays, pregnancy and still what the future holds is unknown. Natalie emotions are all of the place and who can blame her. Yes the sex is hotter than ever but can that be enough ? The fantastic descriptions of the cities that are visited again make you feel like you are right there with them and then makes you want to experience it for yourself. Loved it !

We finally get a glimpse at how well Natalie deals with jealousy. About as welll as Tanner does. The couple faced a possible scare I'm sure neither were ready for, thankfully they still have plenty of time for that. Though why did Natalie long for something she never had? How did Tanner really feel when she told him the news? Despite unfounded jealousy between them and successful businesses they seem more committed to each other now more then ever. So now its a matter what they will do to seal their commitment to each other and will it be enough?

I have to say that the author is doing an impeccable job at keeping the reader guessing. This portion of the series really highlights the way the author can manipulate the story to keep you hooked. I liked this part a lot because it is showing a more emotional side to the characters. The evolution if this series is unmatched in any other. The raw feelings are coming out and it is so interesting to guess what will happen. This portion is riddled with twists and turns and is sure to please. I am holding my emotions back for book 8!

The passion between Natalie and Tanner is at an all-time high in this installment. We get to experience some wonderful moments for Natalie's birthday along with time spent in Brazil. Tanner's jealous/possessiveness gets pushed further by Natalie which is needed as she asserts her will/desires. Tanner also realizes how strong Natalie's love is for him when a scary situation happens to him. Once again, Emily Jane Trent doesn't disappoint as she weaves the story of Natalie and Tanner keeping you on the edge of your seat as you wait to see what will happen next in their relationship.

Natalie continues to push the envelope but due to lack of commitment is questioning things. Tanner has a reason for everything. It's like he does no wrong in her eyes!
What will the last book hold for the two of them. The traditional happily ever after or a twist???

In the 7th installment in this series Natalie is still dealing with her inner demons. She has such insecurities because she is still unsure of her relationship with Tanner. Tanner has never committed solely to her. He has not seen anyone since starting a relationship with Tanner but the lack of confirmation of a relationship has Natalie on edge. Tanner is wanting to have a more permanent relationship with Natalie but it is scaring him to think into the future. I can't wait for the 8th book.

TOTALLY AWESOME BOOK!!!! I loved this story!!! Natalie and Tanner's relationship is really developing into a real deep love for each other! Natalie does not run every time she gets mad. I know the next book will be the last, but it will be the best!!! I love how Emily writes!, she keeps the reader totally engaged!!

I'm really enjoying all of the different countries I've been taken to in this series, London, Russia, Paris, Brazil, Milan. Natalie is keeping a journal of her fantasies in between being busy with her designs. Tanner is starting to feel more for Nat & doesn't want any secrets between them. Does he find out what she's written down in her journal?

This book still has Tanner questioning his true intent with Natalie, Natalie experiences her first jealous moment and there are a few steamy scenes that shows their sex life is going full steam ahead! I liked this book for the steamy scenes, but not for progressing the story forward. I look forward to seeing how the story wraps up in #8.

Whole review with book 1. This book was short and sweet but I really liked it. It was full of misunderstandings, scares, and wonderful surprises. I love Tanner and Natalie together and Tanner is getting more comfortable with loving Natalie. Reading about Brazil was beautiful, I enjoyed the time they had with each other in this location. Last book coming up.

I am soooo enjoying this series of books!! The relationship between Tanner and Natalie is one that I love to read. The questions that come up in this book are questions that seem to come up in many relationships. Love how tender Tanner is with her. Can't wait to read the next book.
