When Nina Marley woke up one day after a year she was comatose, everyone is surprised - because Nina was supposed to stay in coma forever. Now Nina needs to learn everything she missed in the past year and deal with the fact that one of her sisters now dates her supposedly boyfriend, Ryan.
But Nina doesn't know it's not her only problem, because now the hottest guy in town, Randy, tell her that something has happened to her while she was in coma, that she was in another world at the time. Nina doesn't believe it, because who believes in supernatural nowadays? But if so, why does Nina feel she's missing something, and that she doesn't belong to that new world she woke up to?
