Really enjoyed this book and Hal & Macy's story! It's a shame those two wasted so much time when they were so perfect for each other! Hope there will be more in the series!

My Rating: ❤❤❤½
GOOD: The characteristics of a 3 heart book include: interesting characters, a decent storyline, and unique story elements; there was something about the story that I didn’t completely connect with; the book is a solid read. I would recommend it to a friend.
This book was provided by the publisher for an honest review.

My Synopsis:
I have really enjoyed the two books in Christy Gissendaner's Out of Bounds series. The first book A Touch of Sin is about Sin, Taliesin, the Welsh god of music and wisdom, and Julie Hendricks. I loved the sweetness and passion of their story. Some Kind of Trouble continues the series with Julie and Sin's friends Hal Parks and Macy Henson.

Hal, a werebear, and Macy have a tumultuous past. They were crazy in love in college. Hal was a star football player and Macy was the head cheerleader. Things were perfect until the day Hal is injured and his dreams of a professional football career are destroyed. Physical and emotional pain cause Hal to slowly push Macy away until the day she finally leaves him to pursue her dream of becoming a professional cheerleader. But, Hal had noble, albeit misguided intentions. He wanted Macy to have the life she always wanted with her dreams fulfilled and her being happy. Unfortunately, he was pretty callous in the way he went about encouraging her which caused her to be heartbroken. Ten years go by and fate brings Macy and Hal together again. Because of a situation with her mother, Macy needs a way to make some serious cash fast. Although she has a good paying full time job, her mother has accrued a debt that goes even beyond what she has in her bank account. She goes to Hal for help because she is hopeful that he will hire her as a waitress in his bar, Out of Bounds. Macy receives a tepid reception from Hal when she encounters him at his bar to ask for a job. However, he does concede to hire her as a waitress. Macy's presence in Out of Bounds stirs up feelings for both she and Hal and they quickly begin to dance around their renewed attraction for one another. But, there is a dark cloud forming over their rekindled relationship which could cost Macy her life and Hal his chance at love.

My Thoughts:
I really enjoyed Macy and Hal's story. Their journey to finding love again was a sweet, fun, and sexy roller coaster ride. Macy did everything for her mother but the woman was driving me crazy with her antics. I wanted to reach through the pages of my Kindle and shake her...hard :). But, I appreciated how Macy never gave up on her mother, even when she should and could have. She even risked her life to save her. And Hal *sigh*...I loved Hal! He applied sexy persistence in his pursuit of Macy. He never let up on her and always showed how he felt about her...lustily. But, the seduction he set out for Macy in the bar was not only sweet but SEXY! He really went all in to express all of his feelings for Macy. I was fanning my face at the end of that scene...well that scene and the motorcycle incident. Now, THAT was HOT! I also appreciate the action woven into the story which kicked it up a notch. The story wasn't just about passion but also included an element of danger where Macy, Hal, her mother, and an unexpected ally had to work together to help them stay alive.

Funniest Line:
Hal ran a karaoke bar and apparently there was a patron who couldn't sing...at all:
Off-key wasn't the word. It was almost as if she'd taken the note, smashed it against the wall, and then poured acid over it."
I seriously laughed out loud at that one.

Some Kind of Trouble was a truly enjoyable story that I would recommend to any romance lover looking for a sweet and sexy story that contains a bit of heart racing action.
