Ecstasy, Colorado, a town full of beauty and secrets...
Jane Silver has a past that rivals horror stories, but she prevails, because with the Holden twins by her side she knows she can get through anything. The only problem is she loves not one brother, but both.
Two brothers in love with the same woman...
William and Rys Holden, twins, have been in love with Jane since they were young. But the brothers know she deserves so much more than what they can give her. With one brother reserved and the other the town playboy, a platonic relationship is the safest for all of them. But soon the three are involved in a love triangle with no intent on stopping. When a scandal threatens their newfound relationship, the brothers will do anything to make sure nothing stands in the way of claiming Jane Silver as theirs.
A short, sweet, hot tale of love between two twin brothers and the townie girl with a horrible background that they've always tried to protect but were helpless to do so. And now they just want to love and care for her always.
This was a sweet story and very steamy in places. Jane is "white trash" in her town. She's been best friends with twins Rys and William since they were five and the boys defended Jane against a mean boy in their class. Since then, they've defended her many times, but it's always been platonic between them. For Jane, it's because she doesn't want to lose their friendship by divulging her feelings for them, and she wouldn't be able to decide between them anyway. For Rys and William, it's because they don't want to lose Jane, and they don't think she'd be up for being shared by them. But after the town bad boy, Trevor, practically rapes Jane and the boys find her walking home, they kinda decide all bets are off. Jane is theirs and they're going to let her know that. In the meantime, there are people in the town who are working against them... Trevor, jealous women, etc. It almost looks like the naysayers will win until Jane decides none of it matters... the only thing that matters is her future with Rys and William. So it was hot and sweet, just maybe not super memorable. Heck, in writing this review, I had to go back to the blurb to see their names. :-/ Still, I could read more in the series. Ms. Snow does a real nice job with the steamy!
"I received a copy of this book in exchange for a honest review".
Jane Silver lives in the small town of Ecstasy Colorado where she tries her best to keep to herself. Ever since her drunken and abusive father left her and her mother destitute she has been deemed as white trash by many of the town’s people. The only two friends she has to count on are the loves of her life twin brothers Rys and William Holden.
Rys otherwise know as the town playboy and William the reserved kind hearted lover have been in love with Jane since they were all kids. Rys and William were always there for Jane when things got rough at home and became not only close friends but each others rock in hard times. As the years past the boys fall more in love with Jane but decided that a platonic relationship would be best. However things soon begin to heat up when the temptation of each other is just too strong to resist any longer. With the town already against her Jane must put her past behind to except Rys and Williams love for her regardless of what others think. But as Jane is ready to take hold of the new love she has found secrets from Rys playboy days arise and risk tearing them apart. Secrets, lies and betrayal come full circle before all is said and done.
I found myself drawn into the story and wanting to know more about the characters as their story progressed. I love how Jenika showed the deep emotional tie Jane, Rys and William have by giving the background of how and why they became so close. It made me feel more for the characters and want to see them have their HEA. Playing with Fire is a very emotional read especially for those who can sympathize with Jane's pain. I found myself not only tearing up from the hurt she endured but also from the love Jane, Rys and William share.
Playing with Fire is the third book I have read by Jenika Snow and I am growing very fond of her books and can't wait to start one of her series. If you love a great romance with a MFM story-line give this one a try, you will not be disappointed.

Although Jane Silver may be called poor white trash behind her back, she has always been able to rely on the Holden twins, William and Rhys, to make her feel special. But what happens when the bonds of friendship are tested by the desire for something more? Can Jane choose between William and Rhys?
Jenika Snow takes readers to Ecstasy, Colorado for Playing with Fire. Judging from this installment, we haven’t heard the last from the town’s residents. The heat factor in Playing with Fire is extremely high, particularly with the inclusion of ménage themes.
From a plot standpoint, the biggest challenge is whether Jane and the twins are going to test the relationship waters. Although there is a potential conflict with a former flame, the focus is on the budding romance. It would be helpful for the story to undergo another edit to remove some potentially distracting typos.
The author devotes a significant amount of effort to character development. This helps illustrate that while the brothers may share the same physical characteristics, their personalities are different. There is a deep emotional connection between the twins and Jane that could potentially be damaged by a physical relationship.
Snow is a veteran writer of erotica who knows how to craft a love scene. Yet as any experienced reader knows, when the steam is cleared, there needs to be substance. This installment does an adequate job as a quick erotic read, but more development of the plot would have made it memorable beyond the heat factor.
A good story, some of the things I expected in the story didn't happen, and some of things that did happen, really seemed..... out of place? The characters were strong and honest, the reasons for not acting on their desires earlier, for Rys and William, were not clear, although Jane's reasons were clearly explained. Also, if these two were the only one's who were nice to Jane, then where did the rest of all her supporters at the bonfire come from? Some inconsistencies helped in the story, but didn't support previous thoughts or comments The book laid a lot of ground work for setting up a town and scenario and that was obvious, but the focus still was on the three main people, and they were hawtie, hawt, hawt in their scenes together and that alone makes it a worthwhile read@
Best friends turned lovers............................works, it’s entertaining, and it is smoking hot......................
The downside is that this book is in serious need of a decent editor. ................. Once the errors are fixed this would be a 5 rating read, but even with all the errors I enjoyed the story and I have put book 2 on my to-read list.
Jane, William and Rhys have been friends forever. The twins find Jane walking along the road and make her tell them what happened to her. All three are tired of fighting their attraction for each other. So Rhys and Jane make a bet and they all realize they want the same thing. Some one from Rhys's past shows up and tries to break them up and it's interesting to see how all three of them work through what has happened.
Usually menage books for me receive about three or four stars. But I didn't like the female heroine lead in this one. Se does not have a backbone and seems to me that she was born to be a victim. She never complains or acts out or actually voices her voice to say anything. The twins well they were just foolish they choose to be womanizers manwhores or players and never went to the one that they truly wanted. Just ughhhh.
Loved this story. Passionate, heartbreaking and just when you think there is an ahhh in sight something surprising happens. Looking for more of Jenika Snow!
