I love this second chance story about Alex and Sarah. She has been on his mind since the morning he woke with her gone. All it took was Sarah getting drunk and sending an email to have Alex coming to find her. A sweet tale of love rekindled, well more like one that never died and now has the chance.

Great story which of course means it went much too fast. This is my first read by this author and I really loved that even as short as it was you still got a good story. Love these two and their hesitance but knowledge that it was the right thing for them.

As with other books by L.M. Mountford this was a hot, quick read. Alex and Sarah had been friends for years, they were each other’s first love but haven’t seen each other for several years, now Alex is heading to Sydney to see Sarah. I enjoyed the chemistry between Alex and Sarah they made for a very steamy read.

If you want real character development you’re not going to get that here, the story is too short for it but you do get a good story line with plenty of spice.

Seeking His True Mate -
Sarah and Alex were best friends who lost touch with each other for a while, however, after Alex’s life imploded, he took the opportunity to seek out Sarah. The magic between them was still alive and this was evident by the impromptu encounter. It is a really entertaining story, that will enhances your understanding of what a destined love looks like. It is definitely a must read, that will put a smile on your face.

     What a scorching hot read. This was my first book by LM Mountford and it was the perfect book to start with. It had originally been published in an Anthology. It tells the story of Alex Rike and Sarah Snow. It is a second chance, erotic romance and time very well spent. 
     Alex feels like he is one move away from rock bottom after he finds his girlfriend in bed with a client and it isn't the first. Then he gets a surprising email from Sarah, his high school girlfriend that he has never forgotten. The last time he saw her was at their prom and then she disappeared with no explanation. He doesn’t waste time and quickly boards a flight to Sydney, Australia to see her and hopefully bring her back home with him.
     The heat within this book was off the charts HOT! Cold showers may be needed. It was an easy, quick read and very enjoyable. I will definitely be reading more from this author.

This is part of the A Tropical Cocktail Romance Series but can be read as a standalone. This is Alex and Sarah's story who reconnect years later after high school and have a second chance at love. He's down after finding out that his long term girl friend has been cheating on him with several of his clients. Just when he needs a ray of sunshine he gets an email from Sarah. Once together the chemistry is rekindled and the rest is history. This short romance was a fun easy read that i read as a free advance reader copy via Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review.

This was a very short and sweet story, with some adult times, about second chances for best friends who were in love at some point in their lives but got separated by life. I enjoyed it, the characters were interesting and so was the story. I think maybe people who follow the series might enjoy it more, though, because a lot seemed to be connected to the main story and I felt a bit lost because of it. But it is worth a read.

Our hero is feeling pretty low when our heroine reaches out after many a intervening year. An opportunity he is not going to miss.

This is part of a loosely connected series, but it is not necessary to have read any of the other works to enjoy this one.

This a short erotic romance with a second chance theme. The story is well written and easy to read, with a simple, but solid background that sets the story in motion. Our characters are nicely done and very believable, although the path they end up on is delightfully not normal. The story proceeds at a nice pace and includes plenty of enjoyable steam and as nice HEA. Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable story and I hope to read more in this series.

Highly recommended.

Wow…Beneath the Sheets was so very hot 🔥🌡. L.M. Mountford can definitely write some very explicitly erotic stories that keep you all hot and bothered. Beneath the Sheets is definitely in the erotica! For those who don’t know the difference…Erotic romance is a central love story, usually with a happy ending (HEA), where sex plays a deep role in the characters’ journey towards love. Erotica is a story where sex plays a central role and there may or may not be a love story (Beneath the Sheets is a Panty melting example). I am a fan of both erotic romance and erotica. It all depends on what mood I am in and I know L.M. Mountford can deliver whenever I am in the mood for erotica!! If you are looking for erotica and a very hot and spicy read then I highly recommend Beneath the Sheets!! Hope you enjoy Beneath the Sheets!! Happy reading!!

Fast and hot

Beneath the Sheets is the second book in the A Tropical Cocktail Romance series and it was an smexy fun book. The story is about Alex Rike and Sarah Snow who had been close friends while going to school together in England. They shared one night after prom together but then Sarah left and never contacted Alex again. That was until recently when he received an email from her. Alex ends up flying half way around the world to Sydney, Australia to see Sarah and let's just say they definitely reconnect.
This is a short and sexy story. I did fell like I was missing things in the story as something did not make sense given what is written. But if you just go with the story it is entertaining. I just wish there was a bit more to it and the characters.

Beneath the Sheets by L.M. Mountford is the story of Alex and Sarah two people who share a history but will they share their future? Alex’s is at an all-time low, let down by his cheating girlfriend, when he receives a surprise email from Sarah, someone he hasn't seen since their prom. Acting on impulse he packs only hand luggage, boards a plane and travels halfway across the world to see Sarah the girl who has always had a place in his heart.

When they meet there are so many conflicting emotions, feelings of confusion, and things in their pasts to be discussed, it's time, to be honest with each other if they are ever to have a chance of a future but their connection and chemistry can't be denied.

I loved this one if I have any criticisms it's that I would have liked it to be longer, that said what there was of it was very enjoyable and well written.

Alex and Sarah were best friends… as their lives expanded so did the separation between the two. When Alex’s seemingly perfect life took a turn for the worst he decided to catch up with Sarah… Was the spark between them still there after all this time? Or was it a fleeting moment missed? LM delivers a very enjoyable story that shows what happens when a fated love is to be. I highly recommend this read… it was very enjoyable.

Is a readable short story page-turner causing you to breathe harder waiting to find out, what will happen next? The story is well-written in a world environment The characters are amazing they connect perfectly. Expressing how they feel for one another. The love scene was steamy, not over-exaggerated. the author provides you with small details as the scenery unfolds in front of you. What happens at the beginning of the plot. All the way through the end of the story. Alex going through a break-up. Unexpectedly he receives an email from his childhood friend Sarah snow. Thinking she is in trouble. He purchased a ticket to travel on a plane to Sydney, Australia to visit her. During the flight, all types of emotions and feelings is resurfacing how he feels about her. Arriving at his destination seeing her for the first time. He's having trouble controlling his feeling. In his mind, he imagines holding her in his arms and being able to kiss her. What will happen will he confess his love to her or they will continue being childhood friends. I will recommend you to read this book. If you want to find out more read this book. You will love it just like me. I will give it more than five stars. I will be expecting to read more books written on behalf of this author in the near future. What I didn’t- I would have liked to have seen some of her POV as well, but if I had to pick one POV, I’d stick with his because it was more effective and less angsty.
Verdict- steamy and amusing. Good for a fast read.

3.5 Stars - Wish it had more character development

It was a hot and fast start from page 1, but I wish overall, by the end, there had been more character development.

Alex flies all the way to New Zealand based on an email he received from a girl from his past. A girl that he let get away. This was a novella, where I wish could have been stretched out into a novel length. There was so much opportunity to write details about the past relationship, and how much they cared for each other as teenagers. And I would have liked to see more than just a couple of paragraphs about the pivotal point in their young lives when she left promptly after prom. For me, it felt like unfinished business, and the story line felt rushed.

All that aside, the writing was interesting, and this was a fast and easy read. If it had been a longer book, I probably would have given it 4 stars.

Alex has boarded a plane to Sydney, Australia with little more than an overnight bag to see his friend Sarah. They had unfinished business after losing themselves to each other on prom night. There is very little conversation between the two of them and it seems like she doesn't want him to touch her or get close but then after they retire for the night she sneaks into his room and they have an explosive evening together. I didn't really connect with either character as there is very little backstory to them and very little conversation. It is a very erotic book at the end that is vividly described. I also was confused by the stewardess from the airplane who gave Alex her card with her number, which he pocketed instead of throwing out, but then nothing is ever mentioned about that again. Why have that scene in there if it's irrelevant to the story?.

This is part of the Satin and Silk Seductions series but can be read as a standalone (like I did). It features Alex and Sarah who are high school best friends but the last time they saw each other was years ago on their prom night. Until recently, when he receives an e-mail from her and ends up flying from London to Sydney.

The book was steamy as promised and the story was entertaining but it felt lacking in places. I could not connect with the characters. I know it's supposed to be a novella but the story felt rushed and a little more backstory would have helped to feel the chemistry between the characters and understand their bonding more. And also the writing was good but the ending felt a lil bit abrupt but I don't mind about the last bit. I was okay with it.

However, if you are looking for a short and spicy book then it might be your cup of tea. For me? I jus' wish that there was a little more to it.

Alex had not heard from Sarah for years. Out of nowhere he received a drunken email inviting him to visit. He was surprised as the last time he had seen her was prom. Wasting no time, he grabbed a few clothes, his passport and was on the next plane to Sydney. This time, Alex wasn’t giving her a chance to disappear again.

Beneath The Sheets is an improved version of the previously titled, Together in Sydney. The writing’s smooth taking readers on an adventure from Alex’s torrid, sexy dream to the dirty, sweaty banging that just may lead to a second chance for both of them.

"Beneath the Sheets" is a very charming short story that packs all the feels that you would get from a full-length book, in a few short chapters. The author did a beautiful job with a very well written story. Alex and Sarah were old high school friends who once shared something special, and after some time apart find their way back to each other. She properly portrays the connection these 2 have shared so well in this short story. It brought a smile to my face knowing that sometimes it not about how long a story is, its about how beautiful the story.

Alex and Sarah shared a friendship and prom night, but then she is gone. Years later, she reaches out and now Alex is on his way to Australia, hoping for a second chance.

The story starts with a steamy flashback to prom night. There definitely were sparks between these two. Feelings are charged as they connect again. Time has passed and there is a void making interactions awkward.

I enjoyed their journey as Alex tries to determine why she contacted him after all these years and if he has a second chance with her.

I am a big fan of second chances at romance and friends to lovers, it gives the couple a chance to make amends, get right what went wrong, talk things out and get to an HEA. Alex and Sarah are best friends who share a pass. They had a one night together and Sarah up and disappeared. Alex is getting out of a relationship with his long-term girlfriend when he finds her in bed with one of his clients. Alex finds himself on an airplane headed to Sydney, Australia to reunite with Sarah.
Is Alex setting himself up for heart break again or will Alex and Sarah find their HEA?

This is Alex and Sarah’s story. Alex’s life has just imploded on him when he receives an unexpected email from Sarah. These two were childhood friends and have not seen each other since prom, and when Alex received the email, he travels half-way across the world to reconnect with Sarah, who has always had his heart. This is a well written gem of a story which is entertaining and steamy, and I was hooked throughout. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Steamy and enjoyable read.

A lovely, very short and steamy read. I loved the chemistry between Alex and Sarah and the snippets of back story that we are given through the course of the book. I would have liked to know the characters more, especially Sarah (as it is told from Alex's perspective), and been given more of a glimpse into the future beyond the bedroom, but it was a very enjoyable quick read with plenty of heat.
