Patricia's on her way to Oregon the bed and breakfast, Shipwreck. The Shipwreck bed and breakfast comes with all types of stories about pirates and gold.
Interesting group of characters like the man that Patricia met while filling up her RV's gas tank just before getting to the B&B. He gave her the impression about pirates, the fog around the beach and people that disappear on the beach. Regina happens to be the cousin of the woman who owns the place and she has a blog with a large volume of followers. She also thinks highly of herself Samantha is the owner of this bed and breakfast and has indicated that she's not been running in the green for a while and that's why she agreed to have Patricia's travel magazine write an article.
Patricia finally arrives at her location to see that the pictures she reviewed on the internet are not recent and do not display what the bed and breakfast looks like.
Patricia looks out the window at the waves just banging against the rocks and the fog. She suddenly sees a person across the man-made beach area and person collapses. She runs downstairs to reach out to the sheriff who came to check on Regina since she's been getting death breaths. He runs out and when he finally returns, he informs Samantha and Patricia that Regina is now dead it appears that she was stabbed several times. Who could have done this as the only other person is Mrs. Renee Stations, an elderly woman staying at the B&B?
More attacks continue to happen at the B&B while Sheriff Robbie and Patricia reviewing journals that provide a history of what has happened in Foggy Rocks.
Good read, a little hard to follow some of the convoluted history of the people who stole the gold and who did what to find it.
I have read every book in this series and really liked them all but this one has to be my absolute favorite! Were I Patricia I would have found another job by now as her editor keeps sending her to these really strange places to write reviews on. With each new spot, she stumbles across at least one dead body and has to help solve the murder. This one is no exception. She has to go to this spooky, almost out of business, bed and breakfast and write a review that will bring people back to the inn.
This one is filled with curses, ghosts, evil looking fog but you will not go wrong reading this one!.

Foggy Rocks Murder is the sixth installment of the Travel Writer Mystery series written by Wendy Meadows. I really loved this book series. The story has me hooked from the very beginning and I didn't want to put it down. This is yet another one of the quite enjoyable mysteries by this author, primarily because I love wit and detail of these characters and how she envisions her stories. I recommend this series and her other series as well.

This is the sixth book in the Travel Writer mysteries series, but it was the first book from that series that I've read.
This was a fun, lighthearted read. I thought the characters were fun, and I liked the seaside setting. I would probably read another story with this protagonist.
Thank you to Booksprout and the author for a free copy to review.

I am normally a huge fan of Meadows even if her different series are not so cozy cozies.
This one however had so many different characters, relations, and name changes that it was really difficult to figure out who is and was who. You either had to go back and read certain parts again or have a piece of paper to write it down. Even though you can finish it in a day, it didn't flow as well as her others.

Great book! Definitely one I would recommend. It is a mystery that keeps you guessing until the last page. Patricia is a travel reporter and she is being sent for a story by her boss Edna to do an article on the Manor of Foggy Rocks which is suppose to be cursed. In the end no one is whom they seem to be and there really is no curse just very evil people.

Foggy Rocks is considered cursed by many but that has never phased Patricia who loves a good adventure and story since she is a writer. When Patricia goes to investigate the Shipwreck Bed & Breakfast in remote Oregon she gets more than she bargained for. When a local woman turns up dead and a thick fog surrounds the town Patricia is determined to figure out what is going on in Foggy Rocks.
Patricia McKay's assignment to Foggy Rocks is to help Samantha with her dying bed and breakfast business. However, when Samantha's cousin is murdered, Patricia discovers that something sinister is afoot. It is rumoured that Foggy Rocks is cursed. Will Patricia be able to find the killer before she becomes the next victim? A page turner with jaw dropping twists and suspense.
This was a fun story. The main character Patricia is a travel writer who was heading to Foggy Rocks to write a piece on a Bed and Breakfast establishment. I liked the characters. I loved the banter between Patricia and Edna. I found this all entertaining. I received a complimentary copy of this story from Booksprout and I have freely left this review.

This is a great story by Wendy Meadows. It is a very twisted tale but I loved all of the twists and turns. I have not read the rest of the series but I plan to continue with the next book when it comes out.
