Tall, Dork and Handsome

Rate this book
Holden Reed is a dork into computers, gadgets, and Star Trek.

Sabrina Kelly is a con artist into jewelry, pop art (preferably quickly moveable) and a clean getaway.

But when they both get into trouble, Sabrina can’t help but notice that her new partner in crime is Tall, Dork, and Handsome.

Holden is working on the biggest coding problem of his life, and that’s saying something for a man who’s been coding since he was ten years old. The problem is all of these distractions: threats against his sister’s life, break-ins, and the sexiest, most contrary con artist imaginable. How is a guy supposed to keep his mind on math when there’s a man-eater in the room?

Sabrina is just minding her own business, breaking into Holden’s home, when his head of security catches her in the act. She barters information about her accomplices (who are working on much more dangerous schemes than she is comfortable with) for her freedom. But after a few days with Holden, his sister and friends, she’s not sure that she wants her freedom anymore. What she may want…is a dork of her very own.

I just loved this book. I don't know quite what I expected, but it far exceeded what I thought I would be getting for free. The story line was great and the characters were plausible enough so as not to take me out of the story.

I could not put the book down and was a little sad when I came to the end because I loved the characters so much. These to me are the signs of a good book. Also, I cannot stop thinking about it. I look forward to reading more from this author.

This is the first book in her Dork series and I thought it was good. I liked the charaqcters and storyline and I would read another of her books. I just did not feel this was a 5 star read though.

Sabrina is a con artist who knows nothing else. She was raised by con artists and left to her own devices when her parents split. She knows nothing else and now that will be her greatest weakness when she meets up with Holden Reed Genius extroadinaire.

Holden has been taking care of people since forever. He grew up in an alcoholic home and always felt the need to watch his little sister Lila. Currently he is working on a program that could revolutionize the medical field. He really has had some bad luck by the break-ins and now having to kidnap Sabrina Kelly con artist. He doesn't know what to make of her but knows he is drawn to her like a moth to a flame.

As they continue the journey of discovery they realize they have more in common then they both knew. The chemistry is hot and when push comes to shove can they make their passion sizzle into a relationship.

Overall the book was worth the read and I would read another book from this author again however I needed more from the relationship to push me over into that wow factor. Definitely recommend and hopefully the next book will have it.

I have a "bad" habit of downloading lots of free books on Amazon whenever seemingly interesting ones are available (or anything that really catches my fancy). A lot of times, you end up downloading stuff you wish you hadn't; other times, you discover books that are gems or gems that simply need some polishing. "Tall, Dork and Handsome" belongs in the latter category. ^.^

This was a book that had romance, humor, and some intrigue. The main characters, Holden and "Sabrina" were pretty likable and their being a couple was easy enough to accept. The supporting characters, Lila, Sam, Dylan, and, to a lesser degree, Conner, were able to provide a good balance to the leads and the Lila and Sam romance angle was also quite interesting. ^.^

There were some editing issues that were missed. These weren't overly distracting but they were enough that my overall rating was affected. The book had potential and while it did falter in certain spots, it still is a good read in my eyes.

"Tall, Dork and Handsome" gets 3.5 stars out of five from me (rounded off to four stars) and I'm looking forward to reading Dylan's story in the next book in the series.

Tall, Dork and Handsome was a good story but another poorly edited book. I don't know if I am too picky about editing but it drives me crazy when there are so many mistakes that I want to start counting them. The story itself was good - A handsome, wealthy, dork meets a beautiful con artist and they struggle to trust one another. There was some suspense and some romance all in all a good story, but with the poor editing I couldn't rate it any higher. I probably will read the next story in the series The Dork Knight when it is available, but I won't rush to get it.

Sabrina, the con artist & Holden, the genius dork are the most mismatched couple in Tall, Dork & Handsome. Both of these main characters, as well as the supporting characters are fully developed and woven together to tell an exciting tale complete with bad guys, suspense laced with danger and lots of romance. One action packed scene followed another as Holden worked on his secret coding formula, Sabrina moved from captive to trusted new companion and friend to an exciting conclusion with shots fired.

I got this book when it was free and I loved it. I would have never read it any other way because I didn't think that it would be that good. I was wrong which was a good thing. The story starts out a little slow but picks up pace quickly. I do love that she is torn about doing her job and doing what's right. I also loved his sister and bodyguard part and I can't wait for book 2.

He is Tall, Dork and Handsome. She is the would-be thief that broke into his home to steal secret computer files that got caught. Unlikely couple, but it works as they work together to catch the bad guys after the sensitive program. Lots of action, a fun love story and just a nice afternoon of reading for me.

I think the problem was me. I just couldn't get sucked into the story and I'm not sure why. Also, the story could have benefitted from a pre-reader.

Can't give an accurate rating since I didn't make it that far into the book. Didn't get my attention in the first 5 chapters so I stopped reading it.

Enjoyable read. Likable characters. Intriguing plot. Speedy romance (maybe a little too speedy). First in a series, and the next book (companion novel it appears) has me interested.

2.5 stars. I liked the characters, but the story was so unrealistic that even my high fiction tolerance wasn't enough.
