I'm a masturbation expert (true story, I'm single) and I write unique stories. If you're looking for a plot that hasn't been done before check out my books. I currently write m/m but one day I'll venture into m/m/f territory. I'm bi-sexual. I love animals and I've always wanted to paint nude men. Feel free to friend me on Facebook or Goodreads.

**I get so many emails from people who are surprised I read hetero when I’m gay. Well, I’m actually bi and yes, I read many genres. Reading to me is an escape. I’m not at work, staring out the window wondering what the sun would feel like on my face. I’m reading about another world, up in space, vampire or shifters, even just another place on this planet. Hetero, gay, bi, whatever. All that matters to me is the effort that was put into a story and how the characters work to entertain me. **

This book can be taken in two very different ways. Either it is a hilarious, over-the top parody of every science fiction story ever written, or it is a slightly horrific setting for erotica that is actually pretty close to porn. After due consideration I have decided it has to be the first option. The storyline, meagre as it is, contains too many elements I recognize from other science fiction books and shows to have been written by someone who inadvertently stumbled into all of these elements. And the language and character descriptions are a definite hint this is meant to be humorous. Well, I think so at least, others might have a different reaction.

Truly, this book has everything: Earth is dying so this crew is looking for a new planet to live on. Forget any sort of sensible safety protocol, they stumble onto the surface, discover ruins and dead bodies, and have nothing better to do than open the shield around some sort of artifact – a shield that was clearly put there for a purpose. The characters are classics as well. A nerdy scientist with more phobias than should be possible – yet he saves the day. Then there is a lusty colonel who commands the spaceship, yet has nothing but sex on his mind. He then gets transformed and mutates – which increases his sex drive. Yes, I know it shouldn’t be possible, but there you have it. The third man in the triad is a medical officer with a Scottish accent who enables the other two's escapades. As for the ending? Beyond unbelievable, but a fitting finale to a very funny and entirely unrealistic parody of what I certainly hope our future will not be like!.

If you're looking for serious science fiction, an intricate plot, or a tender romance – stay away from this book. If, on the other hand, you are in the mood for a parody with lots of erotic moments and men who are truly insatiable, then you will probably enjoy this short story.

It is not easy to write good science fiction. There is world building, alien creatures and many factors that affect the plot that need to be taken into consideration. In my opinion, this book should never have been written. Sam was absolutely pathetic with his adolescent crush on Kael, his commanding officer. The first half of this story was not too bad. The world building was seriously lacking on the planet but there was a story line to follow. Kael, who seemed so out of Sam's lusty reach, was suddenly taken by the young computer genius who has more phobias than any sane man should have, and had his hand buried in Sam's crotch. Once the alien bug creature bit Kael the story just devolved into bad porn. I don't know what Mr. Cox's intention was when he was writing this story. Maybe he was trying to write a comical parody of a sci-fi story. The natural course of Kael's mutation would have been for it to have completely changed him instead of leaving him colorful yet in full possession of his faculties. The hunger and heavy feeding was just bad porn. The HEA ending was better suited to a comedy than real sci-fi which leads me to wonder if the book was just supposed to be a farce. I read another book by this author and it was put together well. Run away from this book and don't look back.

Review written for MM Good Book Reviews

Sam is a scientist with a crush, being a nerdy scientist doesn’t get him attention on a spaceship searching for new world to call home. Kael is a Colonel leading the expedition and it’s his job to find a safe planet, but the first one they come across isn’t as safe as they first thought. Tavish is the Chief Medical Doctor going with them in case of injury and when Kael is bit by a dangerous creature he has to try to figure out just what is going on.

Holy cow, this is a perfect blend of sci-fi and erotica that will please both nerds and sex seekers. Sam has only had his hand for company for the last five months and he has been secretly panting after the expedition leader Kael, now he is chosen to go to the new planet’s surface along with all the muscle bound hunks. Accidently catching Kael and Tavish in a compromising position, it is a vision that he plans to put in his spank bank, Sam thinks his chances with Kael are shot until a night under the blankets changes his mind. The unexpected danger nearly takes Kael from Sam, but Sam’s utter determination gets them back to the ship…. Only to discover disaster and come to the rescue of Tavish. Now they have five months before they get back to Earth with a mutated Kael who has A Rampant Hunger that Sam and Tavish have to feed.

This is a brilliant sexual fix that really gets the juices flowing, the blood burning and gives your inner geek a high. Three characters who mesh perfectly together, doing what they have to, to survive *snigger*. This story has a great storyline, the Earth is dying and humans are seeking a new world, the expedition lands on a compatible world and inadvertently unleashes death. One survivor is bitten and is changing and the two others have to feed his hunger, and they love every minute of it! James Cox has done it again with his highly charged erotic writing, giving us an entertaining story while overdosing us on pure sex and giving us men who just love to fall in love.

If you are in the market for science fiction that’s got a dash of danger, a hankering for some scorching hot sex, and a yearning for three men falling in love, then this is the book you want to read.

Quite an intense sci-fi, horror story of what can go wrong on a science field trip to a different and unknown planet.

I was ready for my MM menage fix, what I got instead was me kicking the the foot of the bed and my dog in the process, and hoping against hope that the mutation would not turn worse than the horror that it already was.

This is a short read, but it is as intense as could be. The science geekiness of Sam is absolutely geeky charming but all this charm comes to a bumpy horrific anfd gory ride when the eight legged freaks or whatever those things were ended up scaring me kicking.

For those of you who like to get a massive caffeine jolt without the aid of coffee, or for those who simply like their alien horror stories, this is a great read.

My mistake was taking it to bed with me last night. Imagine what my dog felt after getting kicked???

I honestly don't know what I just read. I can't tell if I hated it or loved it for how weird it was? If you want a smutty short read with alien smut (that's not actually alien smut, I don't know how to explain it exaxtly) and a hint of sci-fi and a pinch of plot, then this is the book for you. I was laughing at how just...weird this was, I could not handle it. And trust me, I've read some pretty weird stuff. Honestly, I want to make a drinking game where you take a shot every time Sam says holy crap, calls Kael sexy, or is lusting for him. You'd get very drunk, very quick.

I don’t like rating 1 star, because I respect the writing process, but I really don't like this book. I love sci-fi even though m/m romance is new to me. A few days ago I read a great book by a debut author and I was encouraged to continue in this direction, but I suppose I have chosen the wrong book.
The science fiction context is just an excuse for porn without feeling. The main character, moreover, is the archetype of the stupid woman even if it’s a man.
I see the author has many other books and I suppose they are beautiful and interesting to read, even if I don’t feel like go with them now.

Awesome

While looking for something new to read I found this e-book. After reading the summery I became very excited and could not wait to read. Once I started to read this book, I found I could not put it down. I had to know what would happen next. I truly hope that James Cox will write a sequel to this book.
