Sometimes, being in the wrong place at the wrong time is where you need to be for the good things in life to fall into place.

Max Brady is a 25 year old, fresh out of college, ambitious woman that doesn't take crap from anyone, and often uses men before tiring and disposing of them. She’s landed her dream job at the internet search engine company Fiddle. Unfortunately, she is stuck working as an assistant to the company’s CEO, but she’s hopeful that if she plays nice, one day she’ll be promoted.

Catch is an assassin. He’s been working this job for twelve years and now with his family taken care of he is ready to retire. All he wants to do is complete his last assignment, collect his large sum of cash, and then disappear to a nice, quiet place in another country.

When Max makes the huge mistake of sleeping with her boss, she decides to copy some files from his computer to hold as leverage in the event that he may try to fire her. Little does she know, the files hold secrets that can take down her boss and the entire Fiddle company.

That decision changes the course of both of their lives.

Catch is hired to kidnap and kill Max, but instead he chooses to save her life. They go on the run as he tries to formulate a plan to remove the hit on Max, because he believes that she was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. As they spend more time together, Catch’s motivation for saving her life changes with his realization that if anything happens to Max he may be unable to live without her.

This book is HEA.

4.5 stars

This is hot, temperametal read, with yummy alpha male and badass girl on the run.

Catch is fantastic read that reminded me of watching action movie with great, strong romance. Full of sexual chemistry, amazing humor, bad guys and guns, Catch got me hooked! There wasn’t a minute, when I was bored or wanted to skip pages. I was glued to the story and nothing could make me stop reading. This book is the exact reason, why I love reading so much. I just love the feeling of escape from the real world, into one full of possibilties, and Catch transported me there.

Max is fierce woman, that can kick some asses. Her temper and sharp tongue will be the death of her… Literally.

This woman can’t stop sticking her nose into someone else’s buisness, which after a night spent with her boss, was a catastrophe. Afraid of being fired, after she finally gave up what’s between her legs to James Kelly, CEO of Fiddle, Max thought it was a great idea to break into his office and find something to blackmail him with, but when she was copying files from his computer onto her memory stick, she didn’t think there would be information worth her life. Now, James Kelly wants her death and the best way to do so is to hire professional assassin.
Ruthless, dominant and recluse Catch finally decides to retire. Max will be his last hit, and then he’s outta here. When he gets the job, he thinks that kidnapping his victim is a little bit weird, but when he learns why Kelly wants her death he can’t do it, This beautiful red head with temper is Innocent and there is no way he will kill someone who doesn’t deserve it. Even assassins have morales, right?

Deciding to help this annoying, frustrating woman, Catch causes some big trouble. Now, Max and Catch not only have to run away from Kelly, but from group of furious assassins and from the feelings they share toward each other.

Sexual tension and explosive chemistry is everywhere. Sparks are flying, breathing’s rapid… And Catch and Max are fighting. Every time of a day and night. The more possesive Catch got, the more provocative Max started to act.

He and his alpha male ways with red headed temper of Max make dangerous mix, that can burn them. But is there a way to stop the want of their bodies? Nope, there definitely isn’t *fist pump*.

Catch is phenomenal read, that will satisfy every lady in need for some kick ass action and action between the sheets. This is hot, temperametal book, with yummy alpha male and badass girl on the run, will blow your mind! This sensual story will hold you captive to the last page!

Warning: This was not a dark read. Yes, it could be considered a "love my captor" type read. No, it wasn't an "on the edge of my seat" nail-biter thriller. But with that being said, I did enjoy it.

Catch has been an assassin for the last 12 years. I never really got a feel for his age...I don't remember if it said. On his final mission he is sent to kidnap Max. From the get-go something doesn't feel right about this job.

Max is a twenty-something product of the foster care system. She works for a company called Fiddle where in a scotch induced haze she sleeps with her boss. As collateral and as a little "CYA" she copies files from her computer. You know....just in case he tries to fire her. Smart girl!

Turns out, Mr Boss is in to some illegal activities and when he finds out that Max has some of that information he puts a hit out on her. Enter Catch. Catch kidnaps her and delivers her as requested. Jobs done right?

Nope, seems Catch grows a conscience during this job. He knows (or believes) Max is innocent in the whole thing and so they go on the run. I actually really liked Max's character for the most part. She was really fiesty and there were several laugh out loud moments. She was tough and could hold her own....my only complaint was that she reminded us of that frequently...and how independent she was, etc.

Max finally meets her match in Catch. Catch liked that Max could hold her own. There is obvious attraction between them. The sexual tension and chemistry was pretty high. There were a few times I was yelling at them to just do it already. Catch doesn't think he's good enough for Max, being an assassin and all. Who would want to be with someone that kills for a living??

Me....TOTALLY!

Max and Catch remain on the run and hunted by the "boss". There were a few action scenes along the way that were pretty exciting. And I like how everything wrapped up. This is a series; however, this book can be read as a standalone. Overall, this was an enjoyable read that had some steam, good banter and a little bit of action.

4 ASSASSIN LOVING, KICK-ASS, ACTION-PACKED STARS!!

What happens when you are at the wrong place at the wrong time?
One little action can cause such a big catastrophe..

When Max has a drunken one night stand with her boss things are bad.Every assistant he sleeps with ends up fired.Max cant lose her job not after she worked so hard for it.Coming in early to talk and sort out the situation she has found herself in she overhears something she shouldn't and it gets worse she decided to copy the files from his computer to use against him if he wants to fire her.Little doesn't she know that her small action will lead to much bigger consequences.

Catch is an assassin but he doesn't want to live that life anymore, he wants to leave and he has one last hit to complete. He always asks about his hits, he always kills bad people only this time he doesn't ask.He just wants it over with but this time it is different, its kidnapping as well as murder. This is the hit that will change everything..

Max isn't a normal 25 year old woman she is pretty strong, independent, funny, stubborn woman and she doesn't back down. When she comes face to face with Catch who has kidnapped her nothing seems to make sense until she remembers the files she copied off her boss's computer.

Catch has a bad feeling about this, everything feels wrong about his target, she seems so innocent, feisty yet innocent. What could she have possibly done to get herself in this position. So when he takes off the gag to let her explain things change and he can't seem to leave her to be tortured.

Catch and Max are so funny together, they piss each other off yet they are perfect for each other.Max has always needed to be the strong one, the one who protects others so when she meets Catch things change. He can take care of her but will she let him?
The chemistry between Catch and Max is electric and the sexual tension is everywhere, will they succumb to their desires or is this a whole lot more?

In my opinion Catch was never bad/evil he was always trying to do the right thing even if he was an assassin he had his reason and he wasn't the killer you see on the outside. This book is in both Max's and Catch's POV and you get an insight to the assassin and how it all happened.

I liked how this book was fast-paced and I could imagine the scenes like a movie playing in my head.I liked the story and how it all came together except the 1-2 chapters before the end where I felt time moved too fast other things I just didn't want that there but hey the ending was good and all was well.

Soo I really wanted book 2 to have it continue Catch and Max's story but that's not happening, oh well Snitch seemed interesting too I wonder what his story is and I can't wait to find out!

Wow! This book was amazing. It had love, pain, abandonment, heartbreak, friendship, and as you can guess by the title, adventure! I wasn’t sure what to expect when asked to read and review this book. I was given an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

In the beginning, we meet Catch. He’s a hired assassin. He is going on what he plans to be, his last assignment. He has it all planned out, kidnap, then carry out the hit. Only things don’t go as planned. Everything goes out the window the minute he meets Max Brady. The one thing Catch didn’t plan on? Falling for the assignment.

Catch has it all -romance, intrigue, personal demons, redemption, and a hot muscular body to boot. He’s not just a cold-blooded killer. He does have a heart. And upon meeting Max, she manages to wedge her way into it, thawing him out.

Max is tough. She’s badass. She knows her way around a gun, and can kick major ass, male or female. Her rough upbringing and the feelings of being unloved have made her who she is. She doesn’t take crap from anyone. Until she meets Catch that is. She has finally met her match and she is loving it!

When these two meet, it isn’t under the best circumstances, but they are thrown together, on the run, from Catch’s “associates”. He is drawn to keep her safe, and with him, she feels that way. They try to deny and hide their feelings for one another. But things don’t always go according to plan.

I loved the storyline and details of this book. It was fast paced and had just enough sex, but not TOO much. I got teary-eyed at some of the sad parts, I truly felt what the characters were feeling. The author did a great job of being really descriptive when it came to the emotions coming from the characters. I will definitely be looking forward to more in this series, and possibly re-reading this one again!

***This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.***

Hold on to your hats, readers. You’re in for a deliciously bumpy ride!

First of all, I just want to say that if you’re a Kristen Ashley fan, you need to be reading this book. This book is not a carbon copy of a Kristen Ashley book–this author has a style that is all her own–but I got that really excited feeling I get when I’m reading a KA book!

The premise of this story was fantastic–after a one night stand with her boss, Max copies his hard drive in case she needs to blackmail him to keep her job. That made me love her right off the bat–maybe a little easy (as she is quick to admit,) but definitely resourceful. Max has no idea the hell that is about to break loose in her life after that little stunt.

Enter Catch–the man hired to take care of Max because of the information she’s accessed. It doesn’t take him long to realize that Max isn’t like his other marks, and he’ll do whatever it takes to protect her. Thus begins their cross country adventure!

I loved Catch and Max. I loved them together, and I loved them separately. They were both battling demons and feelings of unworthiness, and with their pasts (and maybe a bit of Catch’s present,) it was no wonder why.

“Commando?” I ask remembering when she asked me the same question.

“I didn’t want any panty lines,” she replies breathlessly.

“I’m really glad I didn’t know this back at the bar, or that motherfucker would have been dead.” The idea of his hand on her thigh and how close he was to what I’m about to make mine almost makes me want to go back and break his fingers.

I have to say the sexual energy in this book was off the charts. Catch was hot as hell, and I think what added to that is that for everything you learned about Catch, you realized there was so much more you didn’t know. That aura of mystery upped his sexiness for me.

Max was a tigress. In the bedroom, out of the bedroom–the woman was feisty as hell. Her reactions to situations were dramatic at times, and I found that very realistic for her character. After spending her childhood and adolescence being bounced from foster home to foster home, I think the idea of losing control sent her straight into panic mode. And I like that Catch (alpha that he was) took that into consideration every time they needed to make another move.

My eyes flutter open and I take in the site of this beautiful man above me, all taut muscles with a sheen of sweat glistening over him. The look of pleasure on his face is all I can take. “Catch, it’s time to man up and fuck me before I come without you.”

This book was full of emotion from everything you learned about Max and Catch’s pasts to the way they tried so hard to be ‘good enough.’ I loved this book, and I cannot wait for the next one in the series!

The wall crumbles and completely disappears. I reach up and grab his wrist digging my nails into his skin. Worry stretches across his face and I realize that he’s taking my reaction the wrong way. I just simply needed to hang on to him because the wave of emotions that just hit me has rocked me to my core.

If you like action, drama, romance, and hotness, then this book is definitely for you! As for me, it’s just begun my foray into Solange Poirier’s back list.

WOW!!! This story was unique, wonderfully written, captivating, hot and steamy, and drool worthy! This is a definite must read for anyone that loves adult romance.

Catch is an assassin (and a hot one) that has decided to retire. Max (who grew up in foster care and doesn't trust anyone) is his final assignment. But things go wrong when he decides to listen to his conscience and rescue her instead of finishing his job. Now the people he has worked with are after both of them. As they go on the run, they get to know each other and form a bond. But the question is whether or not Catch is good enough for her and whether or not Max can trust him. Their journey is an exciting one and I found myself pulling for everything to work out.

I truly loved this book! The characters have so many layers that are pulled back as the story unfolds and I really felt like I knew them. The details of the scenes can be pictured and the emotions of the characters could be felt just through the words on the pages. This is a I-can't-put-this-down-until-I'm-finished book. So make sure you have enough free time because once you start you won't be able to stop. :)

A drunken one night stand with your boss is a bad career decision but for Max it might end with her being dead. Especially when your boss is deep into something very bad and you happen to stumble upon the proof...

But when the assassin Catch, hired to take out Max, realizes that she is an innocent...he can't hand her over. Now Catch and Max are on the run, trying to stay one step ahead of Max's boss and the other assassins he's hired. It is a battle to stay alive.

This is an action packed, no hold bar, sexually charged, on the run, thriller from start to finish. If this story doesn't get your pulse pounding...nothing will. With an ending that leaves us wanting more of Max's and Catch's story, Catch is a brilliant start to what is sure to be a fabulous series.

I received this copy of Catch from Xpresso Book Tours and Solange Poirier in exchange for a honest review.

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. When I was approached to read this I wasn't sure what to expect. But I am so glad I gave it a chance. This book was HOT! I never give spoilers, but Catch is getting a permanent spot on my bookboyfriend list. This book had action and heat. There were moments where I was so upset with the sexual tension, but damn if it didn't build the story up in a good way. This book is different from what I normally pick up. I read this in two sittings, because I enjoyed it that much. Did I mention the hot sex that happens and lots of it, but don't get me wrong there was plenty of story to go with it. This book had many different elements making it one of my favorites of the year.

**I was given an advanced copy of Catch to read for an honest review.
Catch is Ms. Poirier's first foray into "Adult Literature".
The storyline is original. The characters are well developed. The sex is phenomenal.
Catch has it all.
Romance, Intrigue, Seriously sexy bedroom antics, Heartache, Personal Demons, Redemption, etc...
Catch is an assassin. But he has heart. And when Max comes into his life, both of their lives are put through the ringer.
It's very easy to get swept into the story and once you start, it is very difficult to put the book down.
For fans of sexy romance with a bit of grit thrown in, Ms. Poirier's sexy new "Assassin's" series is just what you're looking for.

Completely loved this book!! I love the main character Max. Let me tell you that Max doesn't take crap from anybody. She has a smart mouth, and she knows how to fight. The things she would say or was thinking throughout the book were freakin hilarious. Catch (Sage) is a hot assassin, but he only kills people that are very bad people so as long as he's hot then that works for me lol. The both of them together make a great couple and the chemistry between them was very steamy. I would definitely recommend this book to anybody who likes suspense, romance, comedy, and a little mystery. It has something for everybody. Enjoy!!! I hope you like it as much as I did.

Fortunately I was given an opportunity to read this book before it "hit" the virtual shelves and I must say that I was swallowed alive by the story line. It devoured me as I devoured it's pages.

Catch is the man we all dream to...well...catch, Max is the badass we all want to be. Together they make one hell of a pair.

*SPOILERS*

What I Liked:

- Kept me interested. It was fairly entertaining.
- It's a story about an assassin. I do love me some killers every once in a while.
- Max wasn't a simpering virgin, for once the girl has the background of one-night stands. Thank you for that.

What I Didn't Like:

- Max. Her name totally confused me in the beginning, I thought I was reading the guy's POV. Well anyways, she was supposed to be this badass chick who can fight and shoot, but it just seemed like she was trying too hard. I think she was supposed to seem like this:

description

But to me she seemed more like this:

description

- Okay, what was up with all the inopportune ogling they did? You are running for your life can you stop checking out how hot he looks in his black t-shirt? At one point they were hiding in this underground box while the people who are after them search the room, and all Max could think of was how nice Catch's muscles feel pressed up against her. And this happens in so many books! It's becoming a pet peeve of mine. I do not need you to reiterate every other paragraph how attracted you are to each other. Subtly works fine.

-Catch's nickname. His real name, Sage wasn't any better. Actually, none of the assassin's nicknames sounded hot. Catch. Snitch. Timer. I'm guessing the next books are about them?

- The ending made this from a 3 star read to a 2.5 star. I hate out-of-character breakups just for the sake of angst. Catch left her in the hospital with a bullet in her stomach because he was "protecting her." One minute he's crying his love for her and the next *poof* he's gone. He left for months before realizing his mistake. And what did Max do those months? Mope around. Yeah, real badass. And I needed her to give him more shit for leaving. If he came back a week or two later, yeah okay I can understand that, but months later, he deserves to work for forgiveness. She gave in toooooooo easy after a little pretty speech he made.

Overall, it wasn't a bad read. I didn't hate the book or anything. Just some little things irked me that you may not even care about!

Whoa, this book was awesome. It's got pain and abandonment, love and heartbreak, and friendship. Not to mention adventure. I mean, if there are assassins involved, you can bet your behind it's not an uneventful story. I didn't know what to expect from this book. I was given an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

We meet catch in the beginning. He’s a hired assassin. He's going on an assignment; one he's decided will be his last. The plan is straightforward: kidnap and carry out the hit. But things don’t go as planned. Everything goes out the window the minute he meets Max Brady. There is one thing he didn’t plan on... Falling for the assignment.

Catch has it all -redemption from his personal demons, intrigue, and GAH, can we say romance!? The fact that he's got a hot muscular body to boot is just a plus. He’s not your typical cold-blooded killer. He does have a heart. And when he meets Max, she manages to wiggle her way into that heart, warming it up, and making him feel good again.

Max is one tough badass, and she knows it. She can work her way around a gun, and kick major ass, no matter whether its male or female. The rough upbringing and feelings of being unloved made her who she is. She doesn’t take any crap from anyone. But then she meets Catch. She has finally met her match and she loves every bit!

When these two characters meet, it's not under the best of circumstance (obviously), but they are thrown together, on the run, from Catch’s “associates”. For some reason he can't explain he is compelled to keep her safe, and with him, she feels like she is. They of course try to deny and hide their feelings for each other. But we all know things never go according to plan.

I loved how detailed and descriptive this book is, from the characters to the storyline. It was fast paced and there was just enough sex, but not TOO much. My eyes got watery at some of the sad parts, for the pain and suffering the characters felt. But there were happy parts as well, making me laugh out loud. The author did a great job of really pulling you into the book when it came to the mix emotions coming from the characters. I will definitely be looking forward to more in this series, and maybe even reading this one again!

Catch, an assassin on his last job, isn’t ready to be to be taken out by his assignment. That’s exactly what Max Brady does. She unknowingly shoots him right in the proverbial heart.

Little did she know that copying files, intended to save her job, just got her killed. So when she is kidnapped and taken prisoner, the last thing she expected was that her captor would have a change of heart and become her protector.

Now for the down and dirty ya’ll. Catch is a sexy alpha and very likeable. Max….. well, she’s snarky (and to be completely honest, a bit full of herself at times). They have to team up and hide out to stay alive. Both Catch and Max have pissed off the wrong people. They hit the road and try their best to live another day. There is chemistry and a build up that neither are sure they want to give in to. But you know what? It works. Once the story really gets going (after they hit the road) is when I began to really enjoy Catch. They have a funny banter and an ease of communicating when the action hits that makes for a nice flow.

The story was a bit predictable, but all in all a good read :)

So the whole assassin/killer genre is quite popular at the moment. This is a simple, quick and easy read with dual POV. I liked it but didn't love it but will continue the series.

Max Brady has grown up in the system and well after busting her butt she gets a shit job at Fiddle (a multi national company) unfortunately wrong time, wrong place and she gets caught in some dodgy dealings.

Catch has been given his assignment it's his last one before he retires. His assignment though is Max and not everything goes to plan. He realizes that something is off and actually ends up saving her.

This book is cute and I liked it that Max is sassy, feisty and has a backbone. Hmmm Catch dreamy *sigh* well enough said really. The plot is good and well written if very simple. Certainly worth a read.

What an awesome surprise! I was hooked to this book from the very beginning and all the way to the end!

Catch and Max are the ideal power couple that just happens when it was not even meant to!

I loved Max's attitude and it was refreshing to finally read about a strong female character that I personally can relate to. It's called "take no shit from no one" and that is my kinda gal!

Catch really had me all twisted (in a totally good way) from the beginning and made me fall in more in love with him as the story progressed. Again, he knew what kind of girl he had on his hand and he accepted her 100%.

Cute read!

Loved the banter and feistiness of Max!
Cage.. sigh... those grey eyes! SIGH *dreamyeyes*

The storyline was a little farfetched, because really organizations like that don't just let you walk away! but hey! its a book, its fairytale land so i let it slide.

I honestly cant wait for Snitch's book thoe! He really is sexy in a nerdy kind of way, I wanna see how he becomes when love, jealousy and imminent danger comes into the mix!

"This is crazy. I'm in over my head with this beautiful man and I don't give two shits about how dangerous he is."

The Assassins series is as it states about assassins and this first one is about Catch. Before he decides to retire he takes on one last assignment. But something doesn't feel right about the person the hit have been put on.

Max Brady does exactly what she feel like, with anyone she wants and anything she wants. She is fresh out of college and been fortunate to land her dream job at the internet search engine company Fiddle. She just wish she wasn't stuck as the assistant to the company's CEO. She does the work and hopes for a promotion. Then a late night at the office with her boss and a drink later, she makes the mistake of sleeping with him. She is afraid of losing her job after the incident so to ensure she'll keep it, she downloads a couple of files from her boss laptop. What she wasn't aware of was that her boss and the whole company seems to be hiding something very important and very illegal.

This is where Catch comes in, he is hired to kidnap and kill Max. But Catch does something very stupid instead, he decides to save Max. Together they try to run from, Max's and Catch's boss plus a couple of assassins.

Wow, Max was such a slutty kickass heroine. I both appriated her and didn't like her, she was a difficult character to know what to feel anything about. But something I'm very certain of was that she definitley made the book more interesting.

"Wait. I don't scratch eyes out. I'm fucking Max Brady. I eat bitches like her for breakfast. Good pep talk."

It's lust at first sight and when Max wants something she takes. Though with Catch it's different, this man scares her and Max doesn't get scared. She sees Catch as a challenge. Cacth on the other hand tries to keep his lusty feeling for himself. It's not right for them to get involved, but we all know the more we can't have something, the more we want it.

"She reminds me of a beautiful Goddess sent here just to torture me."

Catch is gorgeous and very delicious, but underneath all that there is pain. He tries to do the right thing with Max because he know she is innocent. She deserves a guy that can give her everything she have never had in life. He is definitley not the right one for her. He have learned to keep his emotion at bay since his first assignment. There can't be any feelings involved in his line of work. For every kill he loses a part of him. It's so much harder then he ever thought it would be. They have to sacrify a whole lot if they will ever make this work.

"She's the most beautifil thing I've ever seen, and if I don't make it out of here tonight this is the image I want in my head I take my last breath."

I was hoping there would be more to this story. Maybe a bit more gritty and suspenseful that it was. Though it wasn't bad at all so don't get me wrong, I did enjoy it and I want to continue the series. Snitch is one sneaky assassin I want to learn more about!

Catch is a quick and entertaining read. Max is a strong character who has overcome a difficult childhood through hard work and plain old fashioned ambition. However, modesty and humbleness are not character traits that Max embraces, but I chalked her moments of conceitedness up to her having to compensate for all of the hardships she had growing up. She had to be confident in herself to overcome all of the challenges she faced in her early years. Catch (I love that name) is the assassin hired to kill Max who has made the huge mistake of not only sleeping with her boss, but copying files which she hopes will save her job. This proves to be not at all a smart move for a girl who prides herself on being smarter than the average bear!

Catch changes his mind after kidnapping Max and can't bring himself to go through with the plan to kill her. Catch decides that they will go on the run until they can figure out what to do next. Both Catch and Max have issues that will complicate their relationship to no end and their baggage definitely manifests in both of their strong willed personalities. There's lots of banter back and forth between Max and Catch, but I have to say I found myself rolling my eyes at Max every once in a while. Max can be a little much at times. Sometimes a smart mouth needs to cause a smacked bottom-and not in a good way! I don't mind a little sass in a heroine, but Max could move from sass to obnoxious a little too quickly for my taste.

For the most part the story flowed pretty well. The beginning was a little slow, but once the adventure of being on the run starts I really got swept into the story. The sexual tension between Max and Catch was nicely drawn out and by the time they get together I got the "finally" feeling which I like. Sometimes it's nice for the physical relationship to not happen too fast. This is definitely worth picking up and I am sure that I will be reading more books from Solange Poirier in the future.

What happens when an assassin is smitten with his target? You'll soon find out in Solange Poirier's Catch.

Max Brady is a fiery ginger. Attitude for days and speaks what's on her mind. Tough girl that's had a trying childhood. Emotionally unavailable, a maneater until she meets the man that is hired to kidnap and kill her. Does he penetrate her soul, with the sexual and physical attraction a buzz anything is possible...if he doesn't kill her. Will Catch resist the attraction he feels towards Max or will he proceed with the hit and ignore the magnetism between them?

Never a dull moment reading Catch which is filled with, sex, murder, running from goons while on the lamb. A little bit of everything is packed into Catch.

Poirier has two very sexy protagonists, both troubled individuals battling their past. The pages burn with the sexual attraction between these two plucky players. The plot is far from dull, never knowing what will follow in this adventure. The ending matches the story and leaves you wanting more.

Poirier's Catch will certainly serve as an escape from the readers reality and transport you to a world of deceipt, terrorist plots, sexual intrigue all the while keeping you guessing as to what next. Great beach read or really anytime read. Complicated romance with a thriller edge.

Catch is an seductive romance with a young woman and her hunky assassin. Max is one tough girl. She definitely has a past that no one would envy, but no one can say she doesn't know how to take care of herself. Although, When she take matters into her own hands it lands her right in the middle of a shit storm that she never anticipated. Catch was just looking to complete this last job, and then make a clean break. He finds himself with more than he bargained for when Max ends up as his assignment. Max lucks out when Catch finds himself unable to walk away. Although, his mercy is coming at a price, and each and every day he questions just why he is helping this lady. The romance between these two characters is intimate and forbidden. Readers will hang on the edge of their seats in suspense; just waiting for the moment that they will no longer be able to avoid their feelings. This was not what I would consider the best story that I have read, but it is a wonderfully intense story line with attractive and strong characters. I enjoyed this adventure, and am left with enough anxious intrigue to continue should the author create more to this series.

Solange Poirier's Catch was an attention-grabbing and attention-holding read. With the perfect mix of romance, sex, suspense, action and angst, I found it impossible to put down.

Max was spunky and sexy and likable. She didn't pull any punches and I liked that about her. Catch was the ideal alpha male: smoking hot, tough and protective, but with a softer side underneath. They had a spark right from the start, and when that spark finally ignited… wow. Their chemistry was fantastic, their feelings real and the sex hot. They worked so well together, both romantically and as a team navigating the situations they were placed in.

I enjoyed Solange's writing style, her characters and the storyline. While this could be a complete story on its own, I see it's part of a series and I'm anxious to see where she takes the characters in the next book.

Catch begins when Max makes a horrible mistake when it comes to her boss. But she makes things worse when she decides to take files from his computer to hold as leverage to keep her job. Now she has people after her who want to hurt her for things she knows nothing about...

Now in comes Catch who is assassin sent to kill Max. But he realizes almost too late that this assignment is not the normal kind. For instance Max isn't a bad person, and now he decides he needs to help her and not kill her. These two have a long crazy journey ahead of them, but it ends up bringing them close together...

I liked this book overall but I wouldn't consider it really good. I really enjoyed the characters, but I sometimes felt like Max was a little bit over the top, especially in her dialogue. On the other hand I also liked that she was able to take care of herself, and that she wasn't the type of person to cry at the drop of a hat. And I was also frustrated by what Catch did towards the end, I felt like that was kind of dumb. But over all I did enjoy reading the book.

3.5 stars. A very acceptable romance/action adventure story. An assassin accepts an assignment that he usually doesn't take, kidnapping. But, he wants out of the business so he accepts this task with the understanding that this will be his last job. He finds himself kidnapping a woman who he figures out fairly quickly isn't the usual bad guy, good to have him off the streets that are his normal marks. He drops her off where he is supposed to but its obvious that she's going to be at the least brutally tortured if not killed and he just can't bring himself to sentence this innocent woman to such a horrible fate. So, his job goes from kidnapper to protector.

During their time together he pieces together her story, finds her to be a strong, desirable woman and a relationship develops.

The writing is kind of a "just the facts" type style that I liked. It wasn't overly flowery, full of romantic prose. But I did enjoy the book.

When I first started to read this book, I though it was interesting but I still wasn't too into it. It's as you really get into the story that I realised that this book was really going to be a page turner and that it was going to be great. And I was right, it was really good and therefore gave it 4 kickass stars.
I love story lines like it, so when I found about it, I knew I was going to like it. I did skip most of the sex scenes because that wasn't what I read it for and I really truly loved the main character, Max. I like the fact that she's strong and brave and speaks her mind and the fact that she DOESN'T cry for everything and I also loved Catch's character, I though he was really badass and liked the wit of him.
So overall, really enjoyed this book and with definitely recommend it to anyone who likes genres of books like this.
