A beautiful portrait of family life, an insight into the life of a lighthouse keeper and the importance of light in all its forms. Amazing how many lighthouse-themed books have made their way across my desk recently!

"The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it " John 1:5.
This family lives a slow pace #lifestyle where it seems they are long-live learners, learning to make things from scratch, learning responsibilities at home while being educated by their mentor mother
I love how this family embrace people to come and stay in their house. #helpingthoseinneed #generosity. This story leaves a great teaching of values.
I love how Jo Oliver can make people to connect with the book from the beginning to the end. Even the reading is designed for primary school readers preschool children love this book around #booktime #morningtime #circletime #readaloud. I describe this book as a #livingbook.
Thanks Jo Oliver. a brave writer from New South Wales Australia.

A sweet children's book. The artwork was enjoyable. I would have given it 3.5 stars, however, if not for the religious overtones.
