We cannot thank Fr. Jocis enough for this second volume of his book on an area of our spiritual and ecclesial life that he knows by heart. This simply reveals how he has continued to grow from study, ministry, and prayer. I personally congratulate Fr. Jocis as I encourage him to pursue with humility and love this special service in the Church.
Although many people might think that the ministry of exorcism is way beyond their grasp, the truth is that the reality dealt with by exorcists is one of the most common of human experiences. All of us are in touch with the innate goodness that God our Creator has put in our heart. We hear the voice of conscience, the “original memory of the good and the true” that is part of our being human. We cannot deny the goodness that is within us as a gift of our Creator. Yet we also live daily with the assaults of the tempter. We can recall the many times we have allowed ourselves to be deceived by his false claims. The evil one is real and active. He relentlessly pursues human beings in order to destroy and kill. The more serious cases that exorcists handle are connected to the attacks from the evil one that we hardly notice.
Fr. Jocis’ experience as codified in this book is a resounding affirmation of Christian faith and hope. We confess that God is all good. In Jesus we have come to know that the evil one had failed to stain the purity of God’s love. The Holy Spirit has been poured into our hearts and on the Church so that the power of the name of Jesus the Risen One may vanquish our fear. In the love of God victorious in Jesus, we are more than conquerors in the face of trials, persecution, temptation, and death. This is the truth proclaimed by the ministry of exorcism. In our daily prayer for deliverance from evil and the performance of good actions to defeat evil, we share in that ministry. I pray that Fr. Jocis book may confirm us as bearers of Jesus triumph over evil.

Those types of books are not easy to read for me. In a way they are scary, although they’re hopeful, too because God always wins and protects us. This book is similar to many others about the same topic. Just different cases, obviously.
I like that author not only writes about cases alone one after another but also gives us some other stories, reflections. It’s also about good angels, Virgin Mary, Saints. It added something new to my knowledge.
It was interesting when demons were forced to speak truth and at the same time they had to give us, Catholics, instructions what to do to avoid evil, to protect ourselves from evil attacks. I’ll definitely remember what one demon were forced by God to say; that God doesn’t need Holy Mass at all but He gives Himselves in it anyway for us, to save us.
Even though it’s obvious it stayed with me strongly. Sometimes the most obvious things are very refreshing when being seen in a new light.
Almost like a summary of a lot of literature regarding exorcism and the spiritual battle ground. The prayers included at the end are a plus too and the biblio at the back gives you additional reading material.
It took a while when I bought this second Exorcist series book of Fr. Syquia and it seems like I still need to wait for the third series because it's out of stock at St. Pauls religious store. In this book, I learned about the importance of praying the rosary everyday, I also remembered my late mother while reading this book because when I was a kid, there were times that we pray the rosary everyday and I actually miss those days so much and I will do my best to pray the rosary everyday again. I also learned about the saints who encountered the demons and how they overcome them. Most importantly, this book teaches me to get closer to Mama Mary not only to St. Michael and St. Benedict, when you are dealing with oppression due to occult practices which I did before unfortunately. But overall, this book helped me to strengthen my faith and belief to Mama Mary and his son our lord Jesus Christ.
Turning point of my spiritual life. Really thankful to my cousin for lending me this book to read. I was raised in a Catholic family and around Christian community but I never knew God on a deeper spiritual level. Thanks to God's divine providence, my heart and eyes are opened.
It opened my eyes upon the importance of including saints, angels and praying the rosary as part of daily activities. Without it, we would be in great despair without our Mama Mary.
It reminds us that the Church's role is much more profound than just simply about restrictions and morality, and concerns on humanity's satisfaction and happiness. It tells how the Church rose up from persecution, to trampling down pagan religion and eventually becoming a prominent figure in history. This book clears up doubts on Mary's role in our salvation, how angels guide us, and how saints lived a happy and fulfilled life, and also how the devil and his cohorts work to enslave us, and ultimately spite our creator by showing he could deceive us and be worshiped as a god as well.
I think it is a good book for those who are experiencing a negative presence and are worried an entity is behind it. The prayers are good and it has all the essentials to know more about the dark side of the spiritual realm around us and how to avoid it.
