Being smart doesn’t save you from terror and doesn’t teach you how to live with it. You can’t escape the mob. It’s part of your existence! Vito has grown up in the underworld of the mob. He has recently reached age eighteen. His family has been involved since the thirties. In 2014, the rules haven’t changed much. What worked then, works now; power, violence, and loyalty. Love isn’t something you can control. As much as Vito, mobster enforcer, wish he could, he can’t. And falling in love with someone who is close to jailbait age is even tougher. Vito bides his time and waits. For a hasty guy with limited self-control, it’s difficult to curb his impulses. At age fifteen, Erin just wants to forget. Erin’s world came crashing down when she learned her family was not what they seemed. She’s been living in a lie. No one told her her family was mob. The cliché ignorance is bliss becomes a sharp stabbing realization when she has to learn to cope with the aftermath. “Sometimes I hear him whispering in my ear as if my conscience has grown and matured into a six foot three dark haired male. The studying, reading, and listening I did to impress adults are nothing compared to what I learned from Vito.” ~ Erin New Adult Contemporary Mafia Romance Novel Get caught up in an Italian Mafia Romance Novel!

If you know me, you know that my teenage dream was to be a Mafia man’s mistress. We can blame my love of all things Mafia on Jackie Collins. She warped my world at the age of 13 and honestly I have never ever looked back. There is something so surreal about Organized Crime. They are lethal, will shoot you down without blinking, beat you, make you swim with the fishes. BUT they also are family, look out or 1 another, love everyone in their family and look out for 1 another through it all. You will find all of this in Amy Rachiele’s mobster series.
VITO is my DREAM MAN! I HEART HIM BIG TIME! Throughout the Mobster’s series (Book 1-3) Vito was always my main man. Yes Antonio is HOT, yes he is the Boss, but VITO! He makes me swoon
Yes, he is an asshole, but DEAR LORD, he LOVES WITH HIS WHOLE BEING!
Mobster’s Angel is book 4 in the Mobster’s series and it follows Erin and Vito.
Erin
She’s Irish
She’s petite
She’s Megan’s little sister
She’s faced trauma and came out of it somewhat ok
She’s 16
She’s a vixen
Vito
He’s Hot
He’s Italian
He’s a Cleaner
He’s an enforcer
I give this book 5 stars however I TOTALLY WISH the book was longer.
What I Liked 1. Fast paced story. 2. Quick read. 3. Dual POVs 4. Erin matured and voiced her thoughts more compared to the beginning of the series. 5. Mafia-death-glares 6. Air quotes about "mob business". 7. Oompa Loompa comment. 8. Birthday party closet scene. 9. Vito was a lot better in this story. He changed a lot over the course of this series. 10. Friends: Ronnie and Ty. 11. Made me laugh every time the story mentioned how Kirk was scared of Ronnie and Vito. 12. Patrick giving Vito and Erin choices... Unlike Megan and Tonio in book 1. 13. Vito was really good with and to Erin. 14. Joey. 15. No high school drama. Drama happened because of other things. 16. You forget that Ronnie, Vito and Joey are only 17 & 18 year olds.
What bothered me: 1. The prologue should have been chopped out. It didn't fit with the information we gathered from the previous books therefore, there were inconsistencies. 2. Erin keeping important events or information to herself when she needed to tell others. 3. Vito wasn't bright for a mob guy when he thinks someone's following him. 4. I didn't think the major drama for Erin was enough for her to flip out and take off on Vito. 5. No one notices, but Erin, what a creepy guy Brice was. Joey of all people should have picked up on that. 6. The story needed a little more editing time. Nothing major but some things were noticeable.
I was a little worried about this book because Erin has been the weak link for me in the previous ones and while I really liked Vito I wasn't sure that timid little Erin was the best match for him. Erin grows up a bit in this book and while she's certainly not as annoying as she previously was she's found another way to annoy me, she now keeps things to herself when she shouldn't and this is something I personally can't stand. Now if she'd spoken up when she should all the drama could have been avoided and you're probably thinking this would have made a very boring book, not necessarily because there's always another way but this was just too much and too many times and for what? Why would she keep all this to herself? Apart from this and yes I know 'this' is a major part of the book but apart from this I enjoyed it Erin has grown in strength and confidence, Vito is Vito, what's not to like and we also get the other characters we've come to love and the humour they bring with them.
Thank you Amy for letting me know when this fabulous book went live..
Mobster's Angel gave me everything I wanted, it was just as fantastic as I expected. The minute I started reading, I was once again immersed into the Mafia world. It was like I had only finished the rest of the series yesterday. I just adore Vito, he may be irritable and unapproachable but boy can he be sweet, caring and gentle. Extremely swoon worthy. Erin has grown so much since the last book, I was proud of the young woman she has grown into.
I love Amy for adding the Italian to English translations, I can now swear in Italian. :)
This was a brilliant addition to the series. I am hoping we get more from this world in the future.
Who would have thought??? Vito has spent the past books being a bit of a pain the ass. Even with the developments between Vito and Erin I didn't really know what to make of him. Mobster's Angel changes his entire character. I love him!!!! The brute of a man literally transforms before our eyes into someone almost unrecognizable. His future in the mob family couldn't have been more fitting, and I look forward to seeing his future unfold. Erin has been the weak link. Always the one needing rescued; she truely throws us all for a loop in this book as well. It is amazing seeing her character transform as well. I almost think that she is grasping her new life far easier than her own sister did. Vito and Erin fit perfectly. This book is not entirely wrapping everything up so nicely. Vito and Erin have grown together in this book, but they are still quite seperate characters. I do not feel the union quite as great in this book as I did with Antonio and Megan. I am hoping that this is only the first book, and we see more of a relationship develop for the two. A great addition for the Mobster's series that I love so much. ~BookWhisperer Reviewer Jax~
OMG OMG what can I say. I knew this book would be good before I read it! But OMG it was amazing. I sooooo love Vito and Erin's story!
Amy has done it again this story was so interesting you get a glimpse into the mafia lifestyle with a nice love story too!!
If you haven't read the series then you really need to u are missing out on some amazing stories and some hot characters!!! I so wanna give this book 10 stars but I'm not allowed so I have given it a well deserved 5 stars!
I also loved that we still got to see some of Tonio and Megan as I missed them when I finished their story!
PLEASE PLEASE BUMP THESE BOOKS UP TO THE TOP OF YOUR TBR LIST!!!
I enjoyed the book, its a well written 'Mob' book! with a nice plot. I would like to see a follow on book about Vito and Erin. It was well paced and the relationship progression felt very natural. At times some of the chapters seemed fast paced, but when your enjoying a good story, that doesn't really matter. It is well written though I did have to google some of the terms used, as some of the terms were not words id heard of used in the UK, which meant having to re read some of the story lines again to under stand what the character was saying! there were some typing errors too. for that reason I gave this book,! 4 stars.
Erin and Vito's story was great! I loved that she felt the same way he did. She knew what she wanted and was very determine not to be a victim any more. I hated that she had to be hurt to understood that there are people out there who would always stand up for her and protect her.Erin and Vito are perfect together and it's good that she was not all that innocent as her sister or she wouldn,t be a perfect match for him. Great ending to a perfect story. Thumbs up Amy Rachiele it was worth the money and the wait.
Can I just say...I love Vito? I may even love him more than Antonio! This book was everything I expected and wanted it to be. Erin turned out to be this strong, independent girl who didn't take crap from anyone, which is a stark change from the previous books. Loved it!
OMG!!! I loved it, I couldn't wait for the story of Erin and Vito. It was worth the wait!!! The story line was great, it kept you hooked, I couldnt put it down. I wish there was more!
Great book. So glad I found this author and her book. Great characters and story. If you love sopranos you'll live this. I'm going back to read her others.
I really can't wait to read this. A story between Vito & Erin has been brewing since Mobster's Girl. This should be very sweet and intense all in equal measure. Vito deserves a happy ending too!
This is the 4th book in the Ms. Rachiele's mobster's series. The first 3 focused on Megan, but Vito and Erin were strong supporting characters throughout the stories. I think you really need to read these in order to get the full picture of Vito and Erin's relationship before reading this one.
It still is difficult to get past the age of Erin. Although she's only 3 years younger than Vito, their story began in the 1st book when Vito was 18 and Erin was only 14. I thought this next installment of the series would fast forward to Erin after age 18, but it picks up mostly where the 3rd book left off (6 or more months later). I also remind myself of my age at 15 and know what I was up to so I shouldn't be so hypocritical. (insert sheepish smiley face)
Erin has grown so much since we last saw her. Everyone deals with trauma differently, and it can't be denied how much she was hit with all at once at the age of 14. Several of the other characters were stubbornly set on her never being able to deal with their way of life. I was satisfied to see how they were proven wrong by a much more mature (and intelligent!) and confident Erin.
Vito... sigh. While he breaks my heart he makes me swoon. Ronnie is also in this book quite a bit and I was glad to see his character more developed. Crossing my fingers he will eventually get a story. Not so much Louie this time. I was sad to see not so much Megan/Antonio, but just enough to keep me happy.
I continue to love this world and am looking forward to reading more - hurry up and write them!!
Audio review only D. Jordan Padrona as a narrator has a very pleasant voice however it sounds like she is in a barrel or a good distances away from the mic. I am not sure what the problem is but it is very is distracting and takes away from the story. I thought maybe it was just me and my kindle but I have went up and listen to other audios online by this narrator and most of them seem to have the same trouble. Which is a shame since I find her voice very pleasant in this as well as all the sample audios I have listened. It is so distracting that I am unable to finish listening to this audio.
I have to say I would rather read this story than listen to it on audio. I am so sorry but this is my honest review with the way this audio is it isn't worth the cost or times to listen. I know how important ones job and rep is I try hard to be honest but with pointing out the good and bad if that is the case. In this case I am unable to.
I gave the last audio on this series a 4 star for the story I will do the same this time since I have not read or listened to the whole book. I will review the story under the ebook at a later date and update my review.
3.5 stars. I was surprised by how much I actually enjoyed Erin & Vito's story because I was very uncomfortable with the age gap when we get our first hints that they will have a romance (in Megan & Antonio's story). Granted the gap is only 3 and a bit years but when Vito is first attracted to Erin she is only 14 and he is 18 which I found a little icky. BUT I actually really loved how that was handled. Vito knows the gap is too wide so he leaves Erin completely alone for a almost a year - no contact, no texting. This gives Erin the chance to mature ( and she does). Then when Erin returns home even though Vito is still somewhat obsessed with her he never once acts inappropriately or puts pressure on Erin. He is there for her when she wants him and he lets her drive the relationship. They do not actually get together until Erin turns 16 at which point the gap of 3 and bit years gap is less wide. Kudos to Amy for handling that so well.
Vito and Erin have their HEA story. After reading all 3 of Magen's stories and getting to know Erin and Vito this was a great way to have their life come full circle. Vito is a underground fighter when he wants to so his comes back to it due to he is so out of his mind without Erin around he does some things to pass the time but one fight and he has an enemy Jacko. Erin wants to be brave in California but she has to deal with a over eager senator's son that won't no for an answer so now she to have an enemy, so she leaves back to New Jersey and attend H.S plus program in college. She never thought than she would have 2 old high school classmates that one is her other half Vito. Will the new Cleaner be able to keep Erin out of danger or will she prefer Vito as he is, hot headed, protective stubborn man.
Hmm, 3.5 stars. Vito and Erin are definitely my favorite characters so there's some bias going on here with my rating. I enjoyed their story though. It was well paced and the relationship progression felt very natural. I wish the story were longer, but it was a satisfying read. I hope there's more to come though. As for writing, it has improved a lot, but the editing needs a little more work. There were some typo's and grammar/writing issues (contractions and sentence structure). I wish the dialogue offered a bit more variety as well. As far a plot, I think readers will be satisfied. I personally really enjoyed Erin's point of view on what she's been through and how she's dealign instead of running.
This book was kind of a disappointment don't get me wrong I really loved Vito but in this book Erin was the disappointment I mean, in this book i really expected her to mature and she couldn't do that. And then she started acting as though she was all tough but hey little girl you don't have to dress all in black just to be tough I found her to be highly immature. I also HATED it that when Erin got in one fight she decided to just run away... She couldn't take anything maybe in Erin's opinion she could but well not I mine. Although shenkindnof made up for it in the end with what she did. I just think that Vito could have done better. Another problem that I had while reading this story is that I couldn't help but picture Erin as a really little girl which made Vito look bad.
