***** ARC gifted by author in exchange for an honest review*****

Let me start by saying that I really liked 'Reconnected', Bethany Daniel's first book but..... I LOVED 'Disconnected'.

Disconnected is Reconnected told from Liam's POV and what a POV it was!!!
The story as told by Liam was so well done and added an extra depth to their love story.

The reader gets a real insight into how Liam felt and coped with Katy leaving him, how he acknowledges that he screwed up majorly, his efforts to find her and the facade he exhibits over the next four years as he plunges into the world of being a celebrity and the chaos that goes with it.

While it follows the same story as 'Reconnected' there is so much more added to this book that expands on Katy's POV.

It was really nice getting to read more about Liam and Scott's relationship and how they interacted together in private, they are really great friends. Especially the scene when Scott is freaking out about proposing.

I thought that having Liam's dad and brother added to the story was really important as well as Katy's brother. The poker game was a fun bonding experiencing for all the men.

I loved the fact that we got the whole accident events from Liam's POV, since Katy basically skipped the week. From Liam and Scott arriving at the scene, the conversations with both their parents, and the press conference it made the whole thing a lot more real.

Including Lucas's service at the beach was also pivotal to the story and what Lucas's mum does at the service left me with a few tears... What a beautiful way to say goodbye.

The extra scenes of Liam and Katy while in Hawaii, added so much more to that whole story line as well, I loved how playful and relaxed they were together especially at the beach.

We also get to experience the birth of William Lucas which was an event that was skipped over in 'Reconnected'. Liam showed how much he had changed and how much his wife and son meant to him.... They are the most important things in his life and always come first.

The bonus scene was such a surprise and leaves me wondering if there will be another book about the new character where Krista helps her and we still get to see more of Liam, Katy, Krista and Scott.

This was a great retelling of the original story and I was so impressed with how much Bethany Daniel had grown as an author between the two books that she needs to be congratulated for that. This book flowed really well and was a enjoyable, fun read.

This is the 2nd book but in Liam's POV regarding how he felt when Katy left him 4 years ago...

I have to say I truly did enjoy being in Liam's head so much. I enjoyed seeing how he felt, how long he did want/go after Katy(but couldn't find her),when he finds her again, forgiveness and then seeing if Katy will take him back again.

In the 4 years that Liam has not seen Katy he has been lonely and disconnected from the real world since Katy left! You feel the heartache at him realizing what he did to his wife and wishing he could make it right. In the years,he puts on his "mask" to show he is happy but he is far from it but does what Excite wants from him!
I enjoyed seeing how he felt and when he finds Katy.. it was wonderful. I enjoyed the romantic things he did, the maturity in him and the knowledge that he will not allow his job to be more important than his wife EVER AGAIN!

I enjoyed being in his head when he was having convo's with Scott and letting him know that nothing would stop him at getting Katy back because she was the only one he ever loved. It conveyed how much he truly did hurt and wanted her back so much!

I enjoyed the longer pages of them at the beach, the epilogue and then the bonus scene where we will get to see a new character and more!

I look forward to the 3rd book in this series! I want more Liam, Katy, Krista and Scott and the new one. ;)

There are two sides to every story and thats exactly what you get here. The retelling of Reconnected from the other side. When I read Reconnected I built up a picture of Liam in my mind, not all of it good but this story really changed my opinions :) It can be read as a stand alone so if you haven't read the first don't let that put you off, it really is a great book. I honestly don't think it actually felt like a re-telling of a story I'd already read, it might sound strange since I had read the previous book, therefore, I did know what was coming next but it actually did feel like an entirely new book. I did not re-read the first book again which may be partly why it felt this way but it also felt like the author has evolved in her writing and brought a whole lot more to this book. You really get inside Liam's head to what he's thinking and feeling, he could be so totally sweet at times that I couldn't help but fall a little bit in love with him myself. I think the pacing of this book was slightly different, it took me two goes to fall in love with the first but with this one it happened instantly and I honestly think thats why. Liam is a great character, both as the big Hollywood star and as the broken-hearted boy. For me, Katy was also a great character, whilst I did question some of the choices she made she never came across as whiny, needy, bitchy or anything even like that, she was just a sweet girl who was maybe a bit naive and didn't always think things through. Liam certainly comes across as the more mature and in some ways level-headed of the two. They both make mistakes, but the fact that they realise this and try to fix them adds something to this book, its not just a case of I'll forgive you regardless of whatever horrible thing you have done, they really do have to work things out by themselves and in their own way. Scott and Krista are also great as the two best friends, supportive and loyal, helpful without being over-bearing or sticking their noses where they're not wanted, nor do they blindly agree with whatever is said, they seem to have balance of a good friend just right. I didn't love all the characters, but thats the way the book intended it to be, some you just can't like. The emotion in this book is also better portrayed than in the first, there were times I cried, but it's not all doom and gloom, there is a good amount of lighter moments too. I will definitely be watching this author as she has grown so much in her craft between the two books that I really feel the only way is up and things are just gonna keep improving, considering how much I enjoyed this book, the next one should be nothing short of amazing :) This book, for me at least, was a quick read, I finished it in just a few hours but will definitely be re-reading at some point in the future, probably more than once and for me personally that is the sign of a great book. A really sweet love story that you could recommend to pretty much any romance fan, there's not really anything in this book that people may find offensive or too heavy. I personally think that most people would find this book really enjoyable :)

Usually I don't do joint reviews but I figured, "why not?," since both of "Reconnected" and "Disconnected" tell relatively the same tale from the male and female protagonists, Liam and Katy, POV's.

So here we go!

Brief thoughts on the plot:

It was interesting to read about a couple marrying straight out of high school and trying to make it in the long run. After all, isn't that what many HS sweethearts try to do?

Then Liam gets discovered and his acting career starts taking off leaving poor Katy in the rough. After warning Liam that she wasn't going to take his sh*t anymore, Katy leaves Liam leaving both of them heartbroken.

....

My feelings towards the series as a whole:

I must say that in regards to the first installment, "Reconnected," I enjoyed reading "Disconnected" a lot more. "Reconnected" moved way too fast which was a shame because I really liked the plot and the characters.

The reason I say "Disconnected" was a far better read is because it goes at a nice pace and felt a lot more whole while reading. What I mean by "more whole" is that the plot felt more furnished and complete whereas "Reconnected" was "bam, bam, bam." Literally, one thing after another.

I liked how with both books you got to see everything from both Katy and Liam's point of views. After all, isn't there that saying, "every story has two sides." Well, it's so true in this case.

In a way, and don't hate me for this, I felt as if Liam's fame and their break up was actually necessary for both characters to grow. While young love is sweet and new, there is also many limitations it can restrict upon a person. If Katy stayed with Liam, it would have most likely have stunted her as a person since after their breakup she re-enrolled herself into college in hopes of making something of herself.

Liam, on the other hand, while he did achieve fame, he also had some time to do some soul searching as you will discover his side of the story.

Therefore, like in all things, I believe that everything happens for a reason and in this case it made Liam and Katy really find themselves and appreciate each other while not taking anything for granted.

So over all, a nice "cute" read on a second chance at love. I wish all love stories could end up being happy ones... ;)

My Favorite Quotes:

"Disconnected, that's how I've felt the last four years since Katy walked out of my life.; For so long I felt so disconnected from everything, but with Katy, I feel complete again. This is how things are meant to be. Hollywood might come banging on the door, but this is my sweet reality and I'll take it over those red carpets any day." - Disconnected

"We're recommitting ourselves to each other, and reconnecting our lives and while it's scary in a way, it's also really exciting." - Reconnected

I recommend this book.

This book is a retelling of Reconnected written in Liam’s POV.
If you have not read “Reconnected” I would recommend reading it first. If not you might be confused about really how Katy is feeling.

Liam Warren and Katy Parker high school sweethearts eloped to Vegas very young at 18. Liam is acting in a local theater when he is discovered. As Liam is making a named for himself he doesn’t realize that he is pushing Katy away. One night Katy tells him she is leaving but he doesn’t believe her. The next day he goes about his day working on set. When he gets home he finds her note that states she has left him. He looks all over for her at the house and at their hometown but cannot find her.

Months after she left he has a drunken encounter with a co-star and regrets it right away as he feels as if he cheated on Katy. The co-star does not believe he does not want her. She continues to bother him for years.

4 years later----

Liam and his best friend Scott are sharing a house. Scott tries to get Liam to date and attend parties but they end up leaving the parties early and playing video games. Everywhere Liam goes he looks for Katy. He doesn’t want someone new he just wants his Katy back.
They go to Georgia to shoot a film and while on the college campus he sees Katy. He chases her down and introduces himself to her boyfriend as her husband. After stating she wants a divorce she runs off.
Liam spends time while not shooting trying to get Katy to take him back. He tries to prove he has changed and the only person he wants to be with is Katy. Liam and Scott take Katy and her best friend Krista out on a double date that gets cut short.

As he continues to film his movie Katy is freaked out when the pap take photos of her and her best friend Krista. Liam and Scott decide to hire bodyguards for the girls.

But Liam’s co-star Alexia is really beginning to become a problem as every chance she gets she touches him. She also thinks Liam will be with her if Katy was not around.

When Alexia has a meltdown and runs Katy, Krista, and Lucas off the road. Liam blames himself, for the accident and the fact Alexia thinks if she got rid of Katy he would be with her.

As the book goes on you really get a feel for Liam. In the first book at time he seemed a little stiff and at other times cocky I was not sure if I even liked him. But by the end of this book I really liked him.

Wow! I had issues with the timing in the storyline of this book as well as some hard to believe plot points.

Liam comes home to find that his wife left him. He drives from L.A. to Nevada to see if she's at her parent's house. She's not and they won't tell him where she is. He returns home, depressed and determined to find her and get her back. Well, fast forward to four years later and still she has not returned nor has he heard from her. The first thing that popped into my head was why didn't he hire a private investigator. He can clearly afford it.

Then when he does happen to find her she's in a two year relationship with someone else. That relationship quickly ends with no problems though when Liam returns to her life; as in the second day he's back in her life.

In the meantime, Liam's best friend and fellow actor and Katy's best friend and college roommate are falling for each other; after only one double date, numerous text messages and presumably quick phone calls all within a couple of weeks time.

Also happening is a Hollywood starlet that Liam had a one time fling with a year after Katy left him is completely obsessed with him and leaves evidence in her on set dressing trailer of her plans to hurt and do away with Katy.

This book was just all over the place. It had some good story ideas, but the delivery failed for me.

Received from: Bethany Daniel (in exchange for an honest review)

Recommended for: 14+, adult themes, but not explicit

When his wife leaves him, Liam Elliot Warren, Hollywood’s Golden Boy, is devastated. After a year of self-destructive behavior, he rights himself, but is still lost without the love of his life. He has searched every logical place he could think of going, with no success. Then fate steps in and he is reunited with Katy during the on-location filming of his newest movie on the beaches of Georgia. Now, for him, reclaiming his wife and convincing her of his love is his focus, but will his actions of four years ago cause them more heartache than they can bear?

This was a retelling of Reconnected from Liam’s point of view. In my opinion, it was even better than Reconnected. Though there are still some basic grammar errors (ending sentences with prepositions and confusing the uses of ‘to’ and ‘too’), this second book from Ms. Daniel is definitely more polished and a more complete read. I absolutely loved this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

Grammar/editing: C – average writing, probably with no editing done

I had read Reconnected prior to reading this book and throughout the entirety of Reconnected, I kept finding myself wondering what certain things were like for Liam on his side of the story. I loved being able to to read this side of the story!! This book very well cold be read without having read Reconnected as there are no giveaways throughout the story that make you feel like you should know what is going on from the first book. You walk through this story as if you have no idea what has happened on Katy's side of the story and that would be great for anyone that has not read Reconnected yet.

I found myself many times feeling like I was Liam and wishing I was Katy. The level of dedication that Loam shows for Katy even after 4 years of being separated is AMAZING! I even cried a couple of times in this story.

This book is a clean read... very romantic and I would even feel comfortable recommending this book to my teenage sister! Bethany Daniel has a gift and I absolutely loved being able to read this touching love story.

I got a ARC of this book for a honest review. So where do I start? First off let me just say the book is absolutely amazing I finished it in one day!!! The whole book is in Liam's POV and you get to see what he goes threw from the minute he looses the love of his life! No one will tell him where she went! Finally four years later he finds her and does everything he can to win her back! This book will make every emotion you have come alive! Bethany is a great author! I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!!

I would like to thank the author for giving me an audio copy of this book.

After reading other people's opinions, I was excited to read/listen to the story. I was wondering where the story was going with Katy leaving Liam and then Liam finding her again. But this is from Liam's POV.

You get obesession with stars, murder, love and a happy ending. I liked the way the story ended up going and the reconnection between the main characters. It was lovely to listen/read about Scott's feelings for Krista as well as Liam's feelings for Katy. Looking forward to listening to the next in the series.

I fell the love with Katy and Liam in Reconnected! But to get Liam's POV only made it that much better! Once I started this book I could not put it down! The love Liam has for Katy and the lengths he would go to just to prove that keeps my faith alive that there could maybe someone in real life like that! I would so recommend both of these books! It may be the same story, but to get it from both sides... Priceless!!!

Every story has two sides, and I enjoyed reading about both sides! Disconnected is book 2 in this series and it is written from Liam's POV. It can be read as a stand alone, but I highly recommend also reading Reconnected. I read Reconnected first and while I liked reading this love story from Katy's POV, after reading Disconnected I loved the story as a whole even more! Katy's POV felt very rushed but I liked the overall story. Reading it from Liam's POV helped fill in some of the gaps and made me really enjoy book 2 even more!

"Disconnected, that's how I've felt the last four years since Katy walked out of my life.; For so long I felt so disconnected from everything, but with Katy, I feel complete again."

Liam and Katy have known each other forever! They were high school sweethearts who ran off to Vegas and got married shortly after graduating. While acting at a local theater, Liam gets discovered and they soon find themselves in L.A. The bright lights and all that comes with being famous soon takes over Liam's life and he regrettably puts his marriage on the back burner. Soon Katy has had enough and leaves Liam. It's been 4 years since they've seen each other but he is convinced he will find her one day! He has tried to move on but no one else compares to his Katy, the love of his life!

While filming in Georgia, he finally finds his wife on a small college campus. But she is holding hands with another man and claiming to want a divorce. Liam refuses to accept that, he is just going to have to convince Katy their love is worth fighting for. What Liam doesn't plan on is crazy co-stars, paparazzi, security issues, and so many more obstacles they will have to overcome!

"We've known each other our whole lives, she has to know how much she means to me."
“I love her, I always have, and I’m going to be by her side through this. In sickness or in health was in our vows, and It’s about time I started living up to those.”

While I enjoyed this book, I still felt like something was "off" for me. I wish there was more to their relationship explained, especially how quickly she forgave him and jumped back in. With that said, I think I liked this book more because it filled in some of the gaps that were left in Reconnected. I also really enjoyed getting to know more about Liam and Scott's friendship, and how they became so close! I think after reading Disconnected, I enjoyed the overall story/series so much more! The bonus scene at the end was a nice surprise also… and hope this means there will be future books from these characters!

If you are looking for a fast paced sweet love story… than this is definitely the series for you!

"Disconnected, that's how I've felt the last four years since Katy walked out of my life."

I enjoyed Liam and Katy's story in "Reconnected", but I must say, I liked reading Liam's point of view more. I feel like there was more depth and that a lot of things made more sense now, having gotten the whole picture. So even though this book can be read as a stand alone, I would suggest reading "Reconnected" since you could say that they compliment each other.
"I'm not Liam Warren movie star to her. I'm just Liam, her Liam, and I need to be him again."

I loved Liam since book one, and seeing how much he truly wanted to work things out with Katy made me love him even more. I didn't feel angry towards him at the beginning (since he did cause the break up) because I feel like they needed that reality check in order to really be together once and for all. Throughout this book, we see how Liam takes responsibility for how his life has turned out. He knows he let "Hollywood" get the best of him and he wants to make things right.
"It didn't matter where I was, I'd look for Katy in every woman's face."

The plot was basically the same as in "Reconnected" but I liked that there were a few additions to the story line. Regarding Scott and Krista's relationship, just like with Liam and Katy, seeing things Scott did that we didn't know about, made me understand them more as a couple.

Something I really liked about "Disconnected" was the bonus scene at the end. It leaves things open ended with possibilities for another book...maybe a spin off? *wink*
Overall, "Disconnected" was an enjoyable, sweet story about fighting for your true love. If you're a romance fan, you'll definitely have a pleasant time reading this book.
"I want the world to know that we're back together and I'm not disconnected from life anymore. I've felt that way for so long and I think it showed in everything I did. I'm complete with you."

I read Disconnected by Bethany Daniel without reading the first book Reconnected which tells the same story but in a different pov. I do enjoy reading the same books in different pov's. Like some other books while reading I ask myself what was this character thinking, problem solve when you have a duo pov. I imagine that it isn't easy to write and I enjoyed this book. Liam did make some huge mistakes and I'm glad there was a character who was brave enough to show him that she deserved so much more.

So Liam is an A list Hollywood actor who for the past four years has been living with a mistake he made. He let his wife Katy and love of his life leave him. She had enough of the Hollywood life and wasn't going to let herself be subject to Liam eventually doing something that would shatter her. While shooting a film on location in Georgia he runs into his estranged wife and now is determined to get her back. Show her how much she has meant to him. Liam must prove to her that he isn't what she thinks he is. Hollywood has never changed the love he has had for his one true love. Unfortunately, Katy may have moved on and it may be too late? Or is it?

This was definitely a very fast paced book and I would of liked to see more begging for forgiveness on Liam's end. I know a lot of timed passed, but he could of least had a grand romantic gesture other then flowers. Katy was a little too forgiving. Don't get me wrong I was happy to see these two souls so perfect for one another get back together. I enjoyed the chemistry they had and they did take things slow when they eventually were together which was refreshing. Their relationship was based on love, and their incredible past together, not on lust or need. They also has four years of maturity which I know sure helped Liam's case. While reading there was no doubt in my mind that Liam wasn't one hundred percent sincere. I also enjoyed the secondary characters and wouldn't mind reading about Liam and Katy's best friends and their budding romance.

All in all I would recommend this book. It is a great rainy day read and very true to it's counterpart. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Bethany Daniel is an unknown author in my country. Ever since I started following international fellow bloggers, I discovered some amazing new authors that I hadn’t yet heard about. Bethany is one of them. She writes contemporary romances and her first book is “Reconnected”. It is stated in her website that she lives in Texas, with her husband and two sons.
I admit that I didn’t read her first book, but I did read the second and I’m more than pleased for having had that opportunity. “Disconnected” tells the same story of its previous book with the small difference of being from Liam’s point-of-view (POV). I believe this story is beautifully written, with a simple vibe in the way that we forget about everything surrounding us and, of course, I find it to have a really strong and good structure. The reader knows what’s happening, from the start, and so he doesn’t seem to have the chance of getting confused with the story. Since I did not read the first installment I’m unable to compare both books, but what I can tell you is that I think that some scenes should had been more developed. Some things happen too soon, too fast. Because it is Liam’s POV we can only see what he sees, which made it a little harder for me to imagine what was happening overall, but, as I said before, I really did enjoy this book. It was refreshing! Being inside Liam’s mind was seriously interesting and it will be great to already know what he was thinking at a given moment when I read “Reconnected”—Yes, I’m going to read it, too! I look forward to the moment of when I’ll have the opportunity to do just that, and for the release of the 3rd book, which will tell Krista and Scott’s story. I can’t wait!

ARC kindly provided by the author in exchange for a fair and honest review. This review is spoiler-free. 3.5 stars.

Screen star Liam Warren needs to do a “re-shoot” of the most important roll he ever played…husband to Katy. How does Liam really feel about his relationship with Katy? Disconnected (book #2) by Bethany Daniel is the retelling of Liam and Katy’s relationship from Liam’s point of view. Liam got caught up in all the trappings of being a Hollywood “it” boy causing him to lose his wife. Four years later after searching for Katy he runs into her while filming a movie in Georgia. Their relationship gets a “re-write” Hollywood style.
I really liked getting into Liam’s head and learning his feelings and thoughts. There were so many obstacles getting in the way of their relationship -- psycho bitch co-star, paparazzi, fans and a controlling movie company etc . Although the story felt very rushed, this second chance romance unraveled pretty smoothly.
Disconnected didn’t feel like a regurgitated version of book one. This book can definitely be read as a stand-alone. I recommend reading the first book to get the full picture...but it’s not necessary. I have to say I enjoyed Disconnected more than book one – Liam got to me :). If you love celebrity/Hollywood romances – this book (and series) is for you. Three and half Hollywood stars!!!

This book was a very nice surprise for me! While the first book was too fast paced and I didn't feel connected to it, this one brought the characters to a much more relatable way!
I liked Liam's POV so much better! And there are some extra little scenes and even a bonus chapter ( I really loved itbtw, and the way things left, there's even room for a next book with a new character!).
I love to see new authors getting more mature in their writting and seing Bethany Daniel grow up as a writter made me very happy for her!
When i finished the first book I was a little disappointed at how fast things happened and with this book, although it was a shorter one, things were in a much more normal pace...i enjoyed Liam and Katy's story and I'm happy I got to read Disconnected and feel more connected to all the characters. It would have been a shame if I haven't seen this side of their story!!
Thank you for it, Bethany Daniel! :)

OMG! This book had me hooked after the first page! I had to stop after the first few pages and head straight to Amazon to buy Reconnected so that I can also read this story from Katy’s POV.

This story is about Katy and Liam. I don’t want to give any spoilers, for those who have not yet read this or Reconnected. :) But, the story is about the couple reconnecting after being separated. During this story I laughed and cried. It had some really touching moments. You can really feel the love that Liam has for Katy as they are reconnecting and going through difficult times.

The writing is excellent. It has the perfect amount of description for what is happening in the story. The way things are described makes it really easy to feel like you are sitting right there with Katy, Liam, Krista and Scott.

As much as I enjoyed the first book, Reconnected, this one was even better. I really grew to love Liam and enjoyed seeing the story play out with his point of view. I didn't feel like I was reading the same book again, as so much more detail was added to Liam and Katy's story as well as Scott and Krista's. I love that this book was longer than Reconnected and so much more back story was added. That to me made it all the more enjoyable. I'm really looking forward to reading more by Bethany Daniel in the future, and can't wait to read more about these characters that I grew to love.

Disconnected was the second book in the Connected series by Bethany Daniel. This book was Liam's POV and was definitely better written than book one. I still seen parts being rushed and unbelievable but the author gave more details to help with the storyline. The characters had great chemistry and had lots of depth and emotion. Loved the match up of both couples and their friendship with each other.

I really loved reading this book in Liams POV! In the first book there wasn't a whole lot of details about some of the story line and we didnt get what Liam was thinking but now we definitely do. We get a chance to see how he truly felt when Katy left and how much he really does love her when they find each other again

All the issues I had with the first book were the same with this book. No answers for a to of the issues the H and the h had together. everything was swept under the rug. I in fact DNF this book cause it was like reading the first book all over again. I was suppose to be his point of view but the outcome was the same.

I loved Disconnected! I thought the pace fit the story well, and I liked reading the story from Liam's point of view. I thought it was written well and I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a fast-paced love story.

After leaving a negative feedback for Book 1 (Reconnected) i was really hoping that by reading the same book written in Liam's pov i would find out more about the characters, feelings etc. Nope i was wrong. I have never, ever not finished a book. Until this one:(
