I found this book to be a light refreshing read. I laughed out loud at some of the antics that went on throughout the story. J. A. Howell style of writing kept the story intriguing by using real everyday struggles and triumphs. We all struggle or have struggled with lost love and new love but some how Miss Howell was able to make it come alive and dance across the pages of Possess My Heart and show us all over again how exciting and fun and sometimes tearful all of that can be.
Aggie Walker is no different She has to decide to either let go of love lost or never love again. As Aggie travels down this path she discovers that sometimes things are not always as they seem if only she would open her heart again she may find love anew staring right back at her. Will she let go of what is lost and open up to something new or will she walk away never knowing what could be? I won't tell you the answer to that question as you will have to read for yourself. I can assure you it's worth the picking up a copy to find out.

Favorite Lines “I’ll stay until ya fall asleep, my love. But then I really do have ta go. It’s time. Ya know that as well as I do.”
I shook my head, even as sleep pulled me under and a yawn escaped me.
“You can’t go. You can’t leave me, because I’ll only ever love you.”

“It had been months since I’d felt Brody’s touch. Since I’d felt any sort of spark run through my body. But Camden ignited something in me. I felt starved for warmth and he was a wildfire.”

“Some things happen that scare the shite oot of us and I don’t think we ever get over it. It can be stupid as gettin’ bit by a dog, or something much worse, but those things stick wi’ ye and nae matter how long it’s been, ye still react the same, ye kin?”

“Ye can make whitever excuse ye want, but I saw whit I saw. I get that ye loved Brody since ye two were kids and believe me, I really liked him, but I doubt he’d want ye tae be mournin’ him still and no’ tryin tae find someone else.”

“Just promise me ye won’t run from me anymore.”

What a hauntingly beautiful love story! This is the kinda book you read when it's raining and you want to read something that you will feel so deeply! It's the kinda book that let you almost cleanse your soul. Yes, it's that deep!

Aggie is going through hell, literally! She lost her true love Brody and has been in a fog of pain and loneliness ever since.
Her uncle decides to send her to Scotland with her cousins to give her a break and maybe help her move on. Aggie doesn't want to move on but, she agrees for her uncle.
Whole in Scotland she meets the annoyingly sexy Camden. He's such flirt and she finds him so irritating but, he also sparks something inside her that she never thought would happen again. While she likes it she feel like she's betraying Brody by feel attracted to Camden. What she doesn't know is by holding onto Brody so tightly she's trapped him here.
This really is an amazing story that deals with loss, love, heartache, and moving on.

Even though u haven't read books 1&2 it was really easy to get into this book. This author did a fabulous job of making the reader feel what the characters were going through. I look forward to going back and reading the first 2 books. I recommend this to any readers who want to read a beautiful story!

I was given this book by author in exchange for an honest review (Pot Luck)

This is book 3 in the Possess Saga series and my favorite! If you haven’t read the first two, then hurry up so you can meet Camden and Grant!

After all the heartbreak and trauma that Aggie suffered at the truth of Brody’s death finally came to a head, Nolan and Harley decided that she needed a much deserved vacation. They arrange for her to go visit her cousins, Grant and his sister Bea. Aggie doesn’t really want to go but Nolan and Harley are persistent and send her off. She has a full summer in Scotland!

From the first time we meet Grant, I loved him! He is funny and charming! He’s an artist and very talented at it. #TEAMGRANT!! His sister Bea is great too except when it comes to Grant’s best friend, Camden. I was #TEAMGRANT for only a short amount of time. I quickly jumped ship and became #TEAMCAMDEN!!!

Camden is a musician and a lady’s man. When he first meets Aggie, he puts on his charms and tries to get the little spitfire in his web. He tried; he failed. Aggie was trying to heal and wanted nothing to do with the obnoxious Scot! (I’m giggling as I write this because I feel like I’ve become a bit of a J.A. Howell expert and knew that the storm was only beginning to brew!)

As the summer progresses, so does Camden’s relentless attempts to get under Aggie’s skin. There is a sheep incident that had me rolling! It was so hilarious! There’s also some other incidents that are rather creepy. Seems that Brody still hasn’t been able to fully move on….why? Well because Aggie hasn’t been able to fully let him go. OH THE FEELS!

I was laughing; I was crying; I was screaming! I loved this book! I could read it over and over and never tire of it! Wait until you meet Nessie! *fans self* As with each book I have read by J.A. Howell, I was unable to put it down! I wanted more and more and more even after it was done. Thankfully, I still had two more books in the saga to devour! Go read Aggie and Camden’s story today!

Possess My Heart is the third book in the Possess Saga by J.A. Howell. By this point, I knew going in that the characters I love were most likely going to be tortured a bit more in this installment. Boy, I was not wrong. The story is told from the point of view of Aggie Walker. Aggie has been grieving the loss of Brody Walsh for a long time now and has been too afraid to even think about opening her heart to another man. Her best friends, Nolan and Harley conspire with her uncle to send her to Scotland to visit family and get away from all the memories, hoping to bring her back to the world of the living.

Let's talk about the new faces we meet in this book. Aggie's cousins, Grant and Bea, are her hosts in Scotland. And while I was kind of meh about Bea--she was a tad on the bitchy side, I freaking love Grant. Scottish, sweet and totally enchanted with anything even a wee bit magical, Grant is that friend who makes you do crazy stuff but is always there, watching your back. I want one, damn it. He is determined almost from the moment Aggie gets there to entangle her with his best friend, Camden. And while we're on the subject of Camden- YUM! J.A. Howell is genius at writing these sexy Scots and Irishmen who make you drool.

My heart just broke for Aggie in this book. She wants to be free but at the same time, she's afraid to let Brody go. After all, how can it be ok to move on with her life without him in it? Honestly, while reading this book, it was like I was on an emotional rollercoaster. There is so much humor and heat mixed in with the heartbreak and the suspense, it makes for a superb reading experience. I highly recommend this book to all paranormal romance lovers and I can't wait to continue on with this series!

I thought that this was a good third book in the series. I am really happy that Aggie found happiness and that Brody got to move on. These kind of books are usually not my favorite, but I have enjoyed this series. I would recommend it.

My Review:
ooh, I liked this book! If you've never read a J.A Howell book, first of all....go buy one NOW, but you need to know she does creepy romance incredibly well.

Brody is a ghost who, before he was murdered, was the love of Aggie's life. He died five-six years ago and she is having a really hard time letting go of him. The book and novella prior to this book cover a lot about his death, but you absolutely don't have to have read those books to be able to enjoy this one (although they are REALLY good, so it sure won't be a bad thing if you want to buy them too...) But this book does work as a stand alone. Because Aggie can't let go of Brody, he can't let go of his connection to this world and it's a connection that's becoming dangerous/bad for both of them.

The premise of the book is that Aggie needs an escape so she goes to visit her cousin Grant in Scotland for the summer. There she meets his mate, Camden. Camden is a typical man-whore, but things are different for him with Aggie. He keeps trying to convince her of that, but between her unwillingness to move on from Brody and her temporary stay in the country, she's unwilling to accept that their relationship can be more. But there's also a backstory for him and why he's always been the way that he is which is just as heartbreaking. J.A. knows how to do incredible angst and I love her books for it!

*sigh*...Camden. How can you not fall for a reformed man-whore who is willing to do anything to win the girl he wants?? I really, really loved his character, when I didn't want to sit down and cry for him. Aggie is just in such a bad place...and he's the one who keeps getting hurt because of it.

The book is creepy, it's suspenseful, it's romantic. This book has a little bit of everything...and it's all set in Scotland with kilts and brogues and hot Scottish men. Yeah, what's not to love here?!?

There's also Grant, Aggie's cousin. I hear he's going to get his own story, which I love because he was just an all-around nice guy...with the kilt, brogue, and hot body. Yep, I'll be reading that one too!

***** I received and ARC copy for an honest review *****

Oh Goodness I just finish whipping my eyes of from crying, I just finish reading the third book of these series and I LOVE it.

Love reading from Aggie point of view, in this story we get to see how she really feels, Possess My Heart its the right title for this book cause after you start reading it you get to see that Aggie heart is been Possess, a lot of us that have lost a Love one its really hard for you to open up and let someone else in, I had fun reading this book let me tell you I laugh most of the book, but at the same time I cried like a baby just for feeling how Aggie was feeling.

I love the new characters, specially the baby cousin Grant he such a sweet heart and tries everything to make Aggie feel like home.

The character of Bea she is Grant older sister and I have to be honest some time Bea just to get on my nerves but I end up liking her.

Now Love the character of Camden, at first Camden look like and a man whore, but once you get into it you will end up loving him, his a sweet heart and all he want to do is to make Aggie happy and make her smile, just cause he see how sad she is.

I love it how Aggie and Camden met, it was the first night in Scotland and Grant and Bea took Aggie out to a pub where Grant was gone me up with Camden, that's when Grant when to get some beer and let Aggie by herself and some drunk guy tried to hit on her, and all good Aggie kick him in the balls, have to say I Laugh my butt of at that part, from their on she started to have feeling that she did not want to admit and everything when crazy.

I really enjoy and love this book and I am gone keep saying it THANK YOU J.A. Howell for this amazing characters and this AWESOME book. now I am starting the last book of this series.

I loved Aggie in the first two books, so I was really excited that this book was from her POV. After reading Brody’s story in book two, I better understood just how much he meant to her, and why the events of book one would have affected her so badly. She’d been through it all. She had to stand by, watching the man she loved with another woman, then she was forced to stay strong for both her friends as their lives fell to pieces, and then her own disintegrated when she lost Brody, just when she’d found a place in his heart. If that wasn’t enough, the truth about his death would have made anyone crack. Thankfully, Aggie had strong Scottish blood in her and she didn’t break, completely.

This book could easily fall into the Contemporary Romance genre, if not for the few paranormal happenings, which were a little too scarce for my liking. I did, however, really enjoy the spark of romance between Aggie and Camden. He was just so hilarious. He was a real brute at times but showed his softer side every now and then. I just loved his playful nature and I could see myself getting along with him brilliantly, even with his manwhore ways.

There was so much more humor and fun within the pages of this book and I found myself bursting with laughter more than once. It was a real step away from the other books in this series.

On the down side, I have to admit that the heavy Scottish dialogue was a little distracting. Even with the glossary at the beginning of the book, it got a little difficult to keep up with. It didn’t bother me so much when reading the other books, because it wasn’t so prevalent, and I enjoyed switching accents when reading the dialogue, but there was just too much in this story and I sometimes skipped conversations.

I did enjoy this read, though. And I’m looking forward to reading the books to follow.

Here we got Aggie POV and I really enjoyed being in her head. She goes to Scotland to get away from the horrible experience she had in Brody’s case but instead she gets haunted by Brody once again and we also get the taste of sexy Scotsman Camden who is a jerk with a heart, yeah I know that’s contradictory but he just tries to show that he is rough and tough on outside but from inside he is as emotionally hurt as Aggie due to some family tragedies but his love for Aggie gives us a glimpse of his emotional and vulnerable side which really touched my heart.
Once again I would like to praise the author’s writing style which is comfortable yet enriched and really connected me to the story and the characters. We also meet Aggie’s cousins, Grant and Bea. I loved Grant, his snarky comments and the heartfelt attempts to made Aggie happy made me want him as my bro as well. Bea is just irritating as hell and sometimes I just wanted to smack her but later we get to know the real reason behind her rude behaviour.
The slow development of romantic feelings between Camden and Aggie made this read an interesting one and the suspense that whether she would listen to her heart or her guilt feeling will make her refuse Camden’s love kept me hooked in but I felt that the action element is quite non-existent in this instalment.
There is one complaint from my side. This book is just filled with sexual scenes and for most of the read nothing interesting happens aside from the romantic and sexual tension between Aggie and Camden which bored me a little and dimmed my excitement but the last few chapters were real excitement!!!

Book 3 sees us follow Aggie as she tries to overcome her feelings for Brody and his death. Its full of suspense, creepiness and romance once more.
Aggie is having a really hard time letting go of Brody, but this is becoming dangerous for both her and Brody’s spirit. Aggie’s uncle; Angus and Nolan decide that a trip to Scotland to stay with her cousins might help her. Aggie isn’t happy about going but eventually gives in. She arrives in Scotland to stay with her cousins; Bea and Grant.
On her first night Grant insists that they go out. Aggie meets Camden MacTavish; Grant’s best friend. Camden has been drunk and tries it on with Aggie, which earns him a swift knee to his sensitive area! She sees Camden as a typical man-whore. But is he?
Because Aggie is unable to let go of her feelings for Brody and knowing she’s only in Scotland for the summer, she is unwilling to accept that Camden has feelings for her. I wanted to sit and cry for Camden, after meeting Aggie he knows that he doesn’t want to be a man-whore any longer. He puts his heart on the line trying to win Aggie over so many times; because Aggie is in such a bad place emotionally; Camden gets hurt time and time again. He doesn’t give up trying though.
Will Aggie ever let go of her feelings for Brody? Can she have any kind of future with Camden?
You’ll have to grab yourself a copy and give it a read. You won’t be disappointed!

Yet another book that I couldn't bring myself to put down. After plowing through the first 2 books in this series and half of this one, I had to force myself to get some sleep! This installment of the Possess Saga was just as addictive as the first two despite the fact that I predicted all of it. I have this annoying habit of predicting just about everything - I do not hold this against the stories unless they've been done before. While I felt I knew what would happen, I was still unable to put this book down as I was completely sucked into their drama. In this installment, we are introduced to even more characters. Some lovable and maybe one I love to dislike. It also expands on some of the other characters we'd already met in the first 2 installments. Harley, though her part is small in this one, manages to shine through as the strong woman she is. I cannot say enough how brilliantly designed the characters in this series are. I have a strong need to continue in the series; while I do need to get back to 'real life', I know I won't be getting these characters out of my mind any time soon. It's been a long time since a book and its cast stayed with me this long or this strongly - Howell is incredibly talented.

It was nice to see someone else she focused on besides Nolan and Harley. I liked seeing Aggie and her life also. I always liked Aggie she is such a rock for Nolan through everything that he has been through and finally he is finally being the rock that she needs. He is giving her the tough love that she needs.

What I also liked about this is that Aggie doesn't just fall for someone overnight. She waits, she grieves, but I also think that a 3 month grieving period is a bit short. But, we also have to remember that Brody has been dead for 10 years. So, I'm torn between her falling so fast and grieving. I'm not sure if a guy falls as fast in love with someone but I could be wrong.

We don't get to hear to much about Scotland. We do get to have some glimpses into Scotland and the few we do see are really lovely. I have to say that the way they talked within the book started to bother me, but I understand she was trying to keep it true to how they speak in Scotland.

Overall this was a good book and I really liked seeing Aggie being a main character! I'm so happy that she was able to get a happy ending also.

win his girl back. But it is an amazing story I get a lil

caught up haha.
A great love story between at first an Irishman and a

Scotswoman and then when Camden comes along two Scots. But who

wouldnt fall for Aggie she is a feisty scottish woman with

Poor Aggie Walker...!! Heartbroken and in despair she's sent to Scotland to heal and ends up in all types of adventures. Sometimes witty but always touching Part 3 of the Possess Saga was a delight to read. I feel I know enough Scottish terms to last a lifetime!! Let's see what awaits in Part 4.

Not bad

Not as good as the first 2. More of a love story/romance novel than anything. I'm still looking forward to reading the next 2 books.
