I love a book that pulls me in, right from the start. It was emotional. Can't wait to read book two.

This story started out like gangbusters, and immediately sucked me in to Seal Team Ten. But after the initial drama, it went into areas I personally didn't like and the writing became what I would call simplistic in a high school sort of way. It really needed editing for sentence structure, as many sentences seemed to try to impart two or more different ideas in one sentence. There was also some confusion about which character was doing what, and there was some misuse of words such as 'accept' instead of 'except.'

What I didn't like: I love ménage and bdsm stories, as I think they're really hot. However, Sable was a virgin when she went to bed with her men. Before ever making love, her men thought it was necessary to tie her up. Just something I didn't personally like. Then right after losing her virginity, in the same night, they performed double penetration with her. I thought that was a bit over-the-top.

The story had its moments, and I found myself shedding my share of tears, but I feel overall it could have been presented better.

Good Things Can Come From Bad Circumstances

This is the first book in a new and heartbreaking series. We meet a group of soldiers who have lost have their team in an attack. After returning and being discredited, they are dismissed from the military. The children of their former commander became caught up in the drama of their father's former life. Running out of places to turn, they turn to the remainder of his former team. This starts off a sequence of events that brings everyone together again while opening up the pain of their former commander's betrayal.
