When I first signed up for this blog tour, I didn't realize this book was a prequel to an already existing series, a series I have not read. Well, that is going to change- Nowhere to Run & Nowhere to Hide are most definitely getting added to my ever growing TBR pile, but I'm nervous about that as well. You see, I fell head over heels in love with Dominic in this book and his name is mentioned nowhere in either of the blurbs for those books, which begs the question for this here newbie -What the hell happened to Dom?
He was dangerous. She didn't even know him, and he already had a hold on her. It terrified her, straight to the core. He had the ability to break through the barriers she'd aligned around herself and the power to shake her foundations without even realizing it-without their even meeting. Since the first night she'd walked into Outlaws, Dominic had looked too closely at her. He saw everything she didn't want anyone to see. He saw her.
Stephanie Carovella brings all new meaning to the word damaged. She has been through so very much in her young life already-escaping the clutches of not one but two serial killers, yet she is still standing, a survivor through and through. That doesn't mean that she doesn't have some very present demons in her life that she has to fight off every single day. She has become an expert at masking her emotions and closing herself off from everyone around her. No one knows the real her, the reasons she wakes up screaming every night from her nightmares, why she carries a gun everywhere she goes, or why she is constantly looking over her shoulder, not even her boyfriend Ben. But that all changes when Dominic comes barreling into her life.
“I trust him completely. I can't explain it, Gena, but I know I can talk to him about anything and everything, and he won't judge me. It's been a long time since I felt that way about anyone.”
“Have you ever felt like that about anyone?”
“No. I haven't, and it scares me a little. There's something about him. I can't explain it, but he makes me feel normal.”
Dominic Delaney is the owner of Outlaws, a tattooed, badass, womanizer who plays as hard as he works. He has an on & off again girlfriend for the last three months, but even that is just pretty much a title, more like a convenience- he calls her when he needs her, but strays when he feels like it. No one has ever held his attention long enough to even think about wanting anything permanent. But that all changes when he meets Stephanie. She is so different from any other woman he's ever met, beautiful and strong, yet he can see the pain, loss, and fear in her eyes that she hides from everyone else. He sees through he defenses and it makes him want her even more. He knows getting involved with her would be more trouble than hes prepared for, but he just doesn't care. Not even her boyfriend can keep him away.
“Stephanie, you're running from something, and whatever it is terrifies you. I'm not going to promise you that I won't fall in love with you, but I'll promise you that I won't make the first move. I'll leave that up to you. If you don't want more than friendship, then I won't press you for anything else. Instead, I'll be your best friend, the one you share your deepest, darkest secrets with.”
And so the dance begins....
Stephanie can't deny the connection she feels to Dominic, but it scares her. Her boyfriend Ben is the best choice for her, he's the safe choice. He doesn't push for her to let him in like she knows Dominic would-and that's the problem. Dominic makes her want to open up to him and let him in completely for the first time in her life, but will he still want her once he finds out all of her dark and bloody secrets?
“Dominic, don't you realize you're the one person I especially need to hide my emotions from? And you're the one person I don't want to hide them from. You make it so easy to believe that love can make the world go round, and that happily ever after can exist for me. You make me want to grab onto everything you have to offer and never let go.”
“Would that be so bad?”
“In my world, Dominic, happily ever after doesn't exist. What exists is pain and heartbreak. I won't put you though that. I can't put you though that. Don't ask me to.”
This book had me in tears more than once and screaming in frustration often. Just when you start to breathe a little bit BAM the author slams you with a twist I never saw coming, which in turn had Dominic pulling a dick move that made me want to choke the life outta him. I absolutely fell in love with each, well most, of these characters and this author. I cannot honestly say if I was missing any important information by not having read the other two books first, but I plan to find out. I'm very much looking forward to seeing more of this crew and finding out where they go next. OH, and props to the author for all the kickass character names in here!
Ben had never been able to handle Stephanie, but Dominic would. He'd keep her in check; he'd hold her demons at bay, and he'd prove to her that damaged people needed love, too. He'd make her happy.

Would anyone ever love someone as Damaged as she?
Wow I loved this story! There are tears, laughs, fights, and fires! We even go face to face with the serial killers. It can be read standalone, however it tells you how Stephanie and Dominic (from the Stephanie Carovella series - Nowhere to Run and Nowhere to Hide) first met. Nina continues to draw you in deeper to this story line as we learn more and more about Stephanie. Amazing some of the "predictions" the characters make which having read both Carovella novels I know will or will not come true... No spoilers from me though, you'll have to read the books to know for sure! And now a bit about this story...
Stephanie has finally started to pull herself together, it has been 6 months since the second most horrible night of her life... Ben has helped her pull herself out of the hell she was living in, but she still can't sleep thru the night. Maybe if she would open up to someone, but she never has and never will - no one knows the real Stephanie. In an effort to stop from waking up the whole house screaming each night during her nightmares, she starts leaving the house after short cat naps and ends up at Outlaws, a local bar in the area. She is attracted to one of the bartenders, but takes no action - they both take turns staring at the other for a month, until finally Dominic slides into her booth. The desire is instant and terrifying for Stephanie. As she escapes from the bar she finds on the many men who've tried to pick her up night after night following her. After telling him to get lost didn't work she stomped his foot with her stiletto and pulled her Glock out aiming for his chest. This is how Dominic finds her, not with fear in her eyes as she aims the gun, but fury - Dominic quickly intervenes before Stephanie can kill jock who can't take a hint. Will Stephanie and Glock scare Dominic off? Will she go back to Ben? And just who are these serial killers? Only one was to know, check out these awesome stories by Nina!

3.75 Too Many Words Stars
I never thought I would say this, but there were too many words in this book. The story is good, but they say the same thing like 14 times. Less words please.
Stephanie is damaged. Well duh. Look at the title. She is not teen angsty damaged. She is serial killer damaged. There is a huge difference. She has survived two attacks from two different serial killers. She has witnessed 3 murders and is being stalked. And she is not even out of college yet. Talk about your overachievers.
Dominic is the sexy man-whore owner of Outlaws, a super cool bar in LA. He notices Stephanie when she starts coming in every night at midnight. She orders a drink she doesn't drink and won't talk to anyone. He is intrigued but waits to talk to her. She has shot down every other guy who has approached her.
When they do meet, it is instant lust. Like INSTANT. But there are lot of problems, of course. There are stalkers, burning cars, less than helpful police, creepy FBI guys (more than one), intersecting circles of friends, cemeteries, sterling silver roses. And when we finally get to the bottom of all the intersectingness.....Dom acts completely against character. I could not reconcile in my mind what he did with the way he had acted and things he had said up until that point.
What I did not know when I read this book was that it overlapped with another series by the same author with some of the same characters apparently. This book does take some really interesting twists. I mean really interesting. But there were just too many words.

Dominic had worked hard for the last six years to turn his bar into a successful business. When he left his family and job as a marketing executive behind in San Antonio and moved to LA his parents had thought him crazy. He had succeeded without backing or support from any one.
For the last month she had walked into Outlaws and he had watched her and wondered about who she was. She always stayed by herself and ordered the same drink. He was intrigued by her and found himself wanting to know more about her. Stephanie knew she should stay away from Dominic; he was dangerous to her because he seemed to see right into her soul. She had a boyfriend and it was just a matter of time before Ben ran into Dominic. So what if she could imagine herself with him it just was not happening.
Dominic knows that he should walk away that Stephanie is trouble. Not only is she trouble but there is something that has damaged her deeply. Stephanie knows that she should walk away from Dominic because he is the one that would stand by her side and never let her go. She knows that she will not be able to say good-bye to him and walk away like she could with Ben. They both find themselves holding out and saying we’ll deal with this tomorrow.
Now all Stephanie has to do is convince her roommates that she is just friends with Dominic. It’s not that she has a good record with being just friends with guys when they usually turn into her next boyfriend. When her roommates ask for an introduction to Mr. Gorgeous, what’s a girl to do? Say no of course!
Dom has to convince his best friend Tyler that he is just friends with Stephanie. Tyler knows that Dom is into one-night stands and girlfriends don’t last more than six months. So what makes this girl so different since she obviously isn’t his normal type? Yes she is drop dead beautiful and smart but there is something about her that is different.
Stephanie finally explains what happened to her best friend Katrina and how she had escaped from the killer. She confesses to Dominic that she knows that the killer will come back for her and she will be waiting to take him out. Stephanie blames herself for the death of her friend and has horrendous nightmares about what happened. She can no longer sleep and fights giving in to the need because she knows that the nightmares will find her. Dominic is the first person that she has shared everything that happened to her and Katrina. She also knows that the killer is still stalking her and her friends, she can feel it.
Can Dominic save his damaged girl? Will Stephanie let him completely into her heart? How can he protect her from the stalker/killer? Is there someone else watching over her?

“Look, Stephanie, just because I said I wanted to make love to you doesn’t mean I’m going to. Or that I’m going to try. I get that you have a boyfriend. I have a girlfriend, and I’m content with my life. I don’t need any complications.” “What are you suggesting?”she asked, arching her eyebrow. “Why don’t we try being friends?” he pressed.
Dominic knows that he should walk away that Stephanie is trouble. Not only is she trouble but there is something that has damaged her deeply. Stephanie knows that she should walk away from Dominic because he is the one that would stand by her side and never let her go. She knows that she will not be able to say good-bye to him and walk away like she could with Ben. They both find themselves holding out and saying we’ll deal with this tomorrow.
He’d easily become an addiction she couldn’t afford. They were both kidding themselves if they believed they could have a one-night stand and then walk away…Tomorrow. Tomorrow she would walk away from him and not look back.
Now all Stephanie has to do is convince her roommates that she is just friends with Dominic. It’s not that she has a good record with being just friends with guys when they usually turn into her next boyfriend. When her roommates ask for an introduction to Mr. Gorgeous, what’s a girl to do? Say no of course!
“Yes, and now you’re lovers. Before Ben, there was Dylan. And before Dylan, there was Patrick, Sean, Michael and Alex. All of whom started off just as friends before they quickly became lovers,” Gena said, grinning at her friend. “Face it, Stephanie, you suck at just being friend with guys.”
Dom has to convince his best friend Tyler that he is just friends with Stephanie. Tyler knows that Dom is into one-night stands and girlfriends don’t last more than six months. Damaged was definitely a must read! I would give it 4 stars! This story will draw you in and keep you guessing and on the tip of your toes the whole journey. Your going to LOVE Dominic, Ben, and Tyler the most I promise you this! This book is told in multiple POV's but not to the point of being confusing like some books can be when they do that sort of thing. I loved knowing what everyone was thinking it made the story more whole like you weren't missing bits and pieces. When reading this book you wouldn't think this was the authors first romance novel she did amazingly well with all the sexy scenes..honestly off the hinges hot! You need to pick up this book ASAP! I look forward to more of this story, even though it ended nicely it still left it open for more to this story so don't worry you will get tons more of Dominic--eeeek!
Your gonna definitely have disgust towards some of the characters mainly Dominics ex-girlfriend, I wanted to scratch her eyes out! But this story is not for the faint of hearts Stephanie went through alot and I will not disclose that in my review because it will giveaway to many secrets.
This story is about Stephanie's damaged past and how she is trying to cope in the present with danger still lurking in her shadows all the while she is trying desperately to not fall in love because her past could damage any relationship she is in. She is in a relationship when she meets the infamous ladies man Dominic who has his own past demons to deal with but he is drawn to Stephanie..can they leave there pasts behind and move on with eachother and be truly happy? Or does fate have its way of intervening-- in multiple ways. I won't be to descriptive about the book because you have to pick it up because it is a hard book to explain giving all the twists and turns but I will give you some insight into the story (but just a little)

Have you ever been excited about a book ? Even more so , when you see the book from the beginning processes , the middle and then the finished product. That feeling of OMG, I can't wait to read it. For me, that was Damaged by Nina D'Angelo. I first discovered Nina's books with her crime series Stephanie Carovella series and fell in love with many of the characters. That series also got you wondering about her past and why some of the main characters e.g Sandra etc acted the way they did. In Nowhere to Run, the book starts off with the reader's learning that Stephanie's husband - her one true soul-mate Dominic is dead and the character of Stephanie comes across damaged and broken, but still tough as nails. In Damaged , the author goes way back to the beginning where even before Stephanie meets Dom and she is dating Ben and living with her three roommates - Gina, Lyn and Angel. The nightmares from her college buddy's death are still haunting her, so she heads to a bar called Outlaws to get away from it all. It's here that she meets the owner Dominic - the only one who can see her for who she really is and the only one she can be herself around. The thing is they are both taken. The story , not to give too much away is the beginning of her love with Dominic and their romantic adventure together, their ups and downs. However, it wouldn't be a Stephanie book without a little bit of trouble from having her car burnt, the word Whore spraypainted and of course a visit from the Jesus Christ Killer whom readers would have met in Book #2 Nowhere to Hide by Nina D'Angelo. In some parts readers, you will need tissues or a hanky as there are some raw and emotional parts . Heads up though readers, as this isn't your usual love story, romance novel. This isn't some piece of fluffed - up candyfloss covered novel as it holds grittiness , the complications and flaws that also come with falling in love and for those who have read Book #1 we all know how that starts.
Another awesome book by Nina D'Angelo and a great effort as she flows from one genre to a next.

When i started reading this book, an ARC from the author, I didn't realize that the main character, Stephanie Carovella had been featured in another series by the author. From the way the book is written you'd never know that, but Damaged is a prequel to the other two novels, Nowhere to Run and Nowhere to Hide, as well as Book 1 in the Outlaw series.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish. It's witty and very well written. Its got everything you'd require from a good novel - love, friendship, mystery which sends you on a roller coaster ride in the emotions department.
I've found that if I can feel the emotions that the characters feel through the writing, then that truly is a great book.
Stephanie Carovella is a master at hiding her feelings. The world sees what she wants them to see, but her true feelings are locked away inside. She's afraid of her past catching up to her, a reason why she refuses to allow herself to fall in love. She's built this protective barrier between her and the world and finds it easier to have a relationship with a man she doesn't love, which in turn makes it easier for her to walk away when the time comes. She is fondly referred to as "Hurricane Stephanie".
Dominic Delaney is the owner of Outlaws, a bar he built from the ground up. He's immensely proud of his achievement as his family back in San Antonio said he'd fail when he first set out.
Its at this very bar that Dominic and Stephanie meet. She is a regular patron who arrives promptly at midnight, ordering the same drink and sitting at the same table in a darkened corner. Every hotblooded male has approached her and has been shot down to the ground. Dominic eventually tries his luck one night and that's where their adventure begins.
This book will suck you in from the very beginning and putting it down will be really hard. I'll definatly be adding the other two Stephanie Carovella books to my list of reading for the year.

I have loved Stephanie Corvella’s character since the moment I read Nowhere to Run. It was a heart pounding, adrenaline producing, suspenseful novel with just a hint of a love aspect. Nowhere to Hide was was the same, but Damaged… oh, my, my! I feel in love with Dominic Delaney because to be honest, I just wasn’t so sure of him until this book.
Before there was talk of Dominic and their relationship, but now I totally get why he was the love of Stephanie’s life.
In Damaged, we learn about what things were like when Stephanie and Dominic met. He ran a bar called Outlaws, and Stephanie would come in a late at night. Finally, deciding to make a move on”Hurricane” Stephanie as she is called, an attraction is created that goes to the soul.
Stephanie has a haunting past and has never bared it all to anyone, not even her boyfriend, Ben. Ben has been there for her, but doesn’t truly understand the life that Stephanie has been a victim too… that all changes when she falls for Dominic. She’s an open book, and this has never happened in her life.
Damaged is a book that will open your eyes into the past of Stephanie and Dominic, but will leave you wanting more. There is one major twist and a major complication within their relationship. When I finally put the pieces together, I was like OMG! No wonder he was like he was in the other two books! I’ll leave you guess on which character I’m referring to.

Man, this book was good! I loved Stephanie, and completely understand why she is the way she is. I thought she was so kick ass and in control of pretty much every situation. I really liked that. Stephanie is damaged, she's got plenty of reasons to be broken. However, she's still kicking ass and taking names. I could see why she felt the way she did with Dominic. What's not to like? Although, the same could be said for Stephanie. They've both got plenty of brains, good looks and cash. I was very glad that Stephanie had her friends, even if she only opened up to them a little. It was more than anyone else, until Dominic. This was such a complex story, and it kept referencing what Stephanie had been through previously. I kept wanting to stop and go back to read the first two books about Stephanie, and I will at some point, because I know they'll be just as good as this one. Like this one, it will keep me on my toes. There were so many plot twists in this, that just broke my heart, scared me or made me want to punch someone in the face. I will say that there were so many things in this book I didn't see coming. Can't really say what they were, but damn. Impressed the hell out of me. I cannot wait to find out what happens next, because I know it will be one hell of a ride! This was an excellent story that there was no way I could predict what was going to happen next, I really love that in a book. Way to go, Nina. Your work will always be on my reading list, I know it will be awesome!

There are not enough stars for this book. I just found my new favorite book and author.
This is clearly a thriller romance and my heart raced as I read every page. There are a bunch of obvious things but then there are twists along the way that you do not see coming.
Note this is a prequel to the Stephanie Carovella series. Although it could be read as a stand alone I am not sure if it's better to read this before or after the other series. For reasons I will not divulge as to not spoil anything I have reasons for both sides. Reading this book before gives a lot of history that may be ruined with knowing future events. Plus I feel you learn about each character in this book where in "Nowhere to Run" these characters are already established and names are thrown right from the beginning making you wonder who they are and what their relationship is to Stephanie.
All I have to say is enjoy the ride because once you start this emotional roller coaster of a series, your not getting off. Just when you think it's about to slow down and your going to exit to your left the car speeds up taking you for more dips and loops.

What a fantastic and exciting book this was...I didn't want to put it down. It went on sale for 99 cents so I had to grab it!
At first I was just intrigued with the mystery of Stephanie coming into Dominic's bar over and over again and never talking to him or anyone else. You knew there would be some big story behind her behavior and when the pieces start falling together bit by bit, and they form a friendship filled with chemistry,things get very complicated for both of them.
Stephanie had endured some really horrendous things in her life and seen far more violence and tragedy than any little girl had a right to...but she kept on going, but lived in fear for her safety as well as that of her close friends.
I can't really tell too much of the actual storyline without ruining it...there are so many unseen twists, shocking reveals and occurrences that make up this mystery romance, that to say too much will ruin all the fun! You just have to read and find out for yourself. Steamy romance with the usual vicious EX girlfriend, ball-busting besties and a whole lot of drama. A really enjoyable but at times frustrating read.

Wow, what to say….I guess I will start with Stephanie was indeed damaged and a master at hiding her feelings and emotions. Dom flew in the face that all his family thought and opened his own bar and succeeded better than he even thought he would. A shrewd business man he saw through Stephanie’s mask and still liked what he saw. Is it possible for the damaged to love again, can there be hope after all this time?
I have to say this book blew me away, I never expected the story I found. I got mad, cried, went through an entire routine of varying emotions reading this book. I had never heard of any of Ms. D’Angelo’s books, boy what I have been missing! Yes, I immediately went and bought the others, cannot wait to dig in to them both. Thanks so much to Nina D’Angelo for writing this book and introducing me to a new favorite on my book list. The amazing thing about Damaged it is that it's a stand alone book within an amazing series, so you don't have to read the series to know what it is going on. Especially since this is the prequel to the whole series, and what a prequel it is.
Damaged allows you to get to know the MC's Stephanie and Dominic on a raw and deep level where they both are flawed and no pun intended, Damaged. This isn't your typical HEA because it is written based on realistic issues and I respect the writers honesty in that regard. The sex scenes are intense and you feel as you read the pages of the book that the book was written out of love. An incredible and intense love that makes you wonder if it was a real life experience.
I always loved Nina's Crime novels but her stab at Romance blew me away. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to read an intense romance with suspenseful elements. You will definitely laugh, cry, and over LOVE this book. 5 Stars!

I've not read anything by this author before but I'm definetly going to be reading her other books.

**I would suggest reading the Stephanie Carovella series first**
From the start, I have been a major Dominic Delaney fan, and upon finishing Damaged, I am positively convinced that no matter how many books Ms. D’Angelo writes for her Carovella series there will never be another male specimen more perfect for Stephanie than Dominic Delaney. And this says a lot as I have always bounced between Dom and Jase for our girl. I absolutely adore Jase and actually begged Nina to give him and Steph their HEA. That sentiment has changed now. As I said above, I have come to the conclusion that it is Dom or no one. With that said, I need me more Dom and Steph. So glad, Nina has decided to keep writing the Outlaws series. I’d have to say, Damaged also solidified Dom as one of my all-time favorite book boyfriends.
Huge kudos to Nina D’Angelo for taking us straight back to the very beginning with this striking installment about friendship and love at first sight. Normally, I shy away from anything resembling instant love, but I think Steph and Dom worked for me because I was already previously invested in their story; therefore, they did not feel anywhere close to instant to me. We met both characters in Nowhere to Run and Nowhere to Hide. Within these books, we learn that the main protagonists have a deep attachment to each other that has already been established. The author gives us an in depth glimpse inside the dynamics of their history, deep love, and explosive relationship, making the reader anxious to get their greedy little hands on their back-story.
In the Carovella series, Stephanie’s life is pure craziness, never a dull moment; it holds so many twists and turns that you never know exactly where the author or characters are taking you. The entire read you are holding on to the edge of your seat, trying to figure out where each piece fits into the puzzle. I think what I loved the most about the Outlaws series is that Dominic balanced our girl out and seriously slowed the craziness down a bit. While there were still twists and turns, Damaged focused more on Stephanie and Dom’s developing relationship. This version of their lives opened us up intimately to this couple both intellectually and emotionally. I felt the author shined with the flawless insight into the intricacy of both characters. I can honestly say there was not anything one dimensional about either protagonist. Both, Stephanie and Dominic, were wrapped up in layers of façade, damaged to the core; that is until they found each other. In my opinion, Nina D’Angelo nailed these characters. She wrote them with such precision that they stayed true to who they were perceived as in the previous books.
With that said, I adored these characters, but holy hell did they ever frustrate me. Sometimes, I really wanted to smack them and tell them to start fricken communicating. If Dominic and Stephanie actually communicated about the deeper things, I think most of mine and their trepidation would have disappeared.
And Dom—oh my gosh did that man piss me right the hell off with his little stunt. I mean I totally got it and all, but still—damn you Dominic Delaney. I wanted to kick him so hard in the junk. There were other ways of handling that little (or not so little) twist. In that moment, I doubted him; however, I didn’t doubt him for long. He earned my devotion back rather quickly.
One thing I can say about Ms. D’Angelo is that she never fails to provide an amusement park full of emotions, taking you on a myriad of rides you aren’t totally sure you actually want to get off of. Her writing is so engaging and infectious, I find myself devouring her books within hours. I am always sad to see these characters go on their way, and I am seriously impatient in my wait for the next editions. I have been reading Ms. D’Angelo’s books since the beginning and with each new one she cements herself as one of my favorite authors.

It’s told in multiple points of view, which actually works well. There are many sides to the same story, and readers get to see the drama from every angle. There’s never a dull moment…it will keep readers reading until the very end, wondering who will get to Stephanie first – one of the killers or Dominic.

I really liked this story and it says it can be read as a stand alone book (being that it sort of ends with a HEA) But the book is apparently a 'Prequel' to 2 other books by Nina, 'the Stephanie Carovella series' but I am a bit confused/worried to what happens after this book, being that book 1 of the Stephanie Carovella series, Dominic isn't in it?? (Like OMG I do/don't want to find out what happens to him) And being this is Book 1 of the 'outlaw' series??
But as I really want to find out what happens next in Stephanie's life I will check out the other books and the 2 new books in development for release in 2014.
The storyline draws you in Ms D'Angelo's description of Stephanie, and her haunted life really had me wanting to know more quite quickly. And Dominic, the owner of Outlaw's the bar Stephanie has been sitting alone each night is intrigued by her. Finally he takes the bull by the horns and approaches her... I loved the way he wouldn't give up on his mission to know the real girl underneath. Although at one point I wanted to castrate the guy (but enough said I don't do spoiler reviews)
There are a lot of secondary characters in this book and I would really love to read more about their lives and stories.
Stephanie's friends Gina, Angel and Carolyn all sound like they have interesting pasts.
Stephanie has a boyfriend 'Ben' and at first I thought he was a bit of a pushover but I think that maybe he will develop as a character, at the end of the book you get to learn a little more about him and he sounds as if he is a great catch for the right girl!
There is also Jake & Tyler, Dominic's friends who I think would like to know more about the most I promise you this! The story is told in multiple POV's but was well done and was not confusing in the least.
Stephanie's past is not a happy one, and she sure is a strong person after all she's been through. Danger is hidden in the shadows but the police are not interested in what she has to say, the back story to this romance between Stephanie and Dominic is full of twists and turns.
You will not be disappointed reading this book.

I was sucked right into the story from page one. There was instant chemistry between Dom and Stephanie, but she tried to fight it until she couldn't anymore.
Dominic is used to fighting for his dreams, and that includes getting to know the mysterious woman who has been walking into his bar for the past month.
The whirlwind relationship Dom and Stephanie begin is one with tons of angst and drama, and it makes you question if love is enough to conquer all of their demons.
I enjoyed this story but was easily confused with the POV with all of the characters involved. I wanted to know more of the secondary characters, I feel what was discussed took away from the main characters even though there may be future stories for them.
I WANTED to know more when I finished the story, I feel like I was left with more questions than answers. I am looking forward to the next installment to this series.

I thought this book was something else, but I was wrong once I started reading it, so not many notes because I couldn't really get into it. Dominic he plays with fire well so doesn't Stephanie, "Christ, Stephanie, when is it ever going to be the perfect time to break a guy's heart?" he asked, stepping away from her and moving back into the hotel room. Dominic sank down on the bed." Dominic he's a boy that needs to explain some things to Stephanie, "men can't be beautiful, darlin'," he growled playfully adding, "they can be sexy, they can be roguishly handsome, but they are never, ever beautiful." And the boy gets an easy hard-on just looking at his girl, "Stephanie," Dominic breathed, his gaze hungrily sliding over her. She'd changed out of the dress and now word black skintight jeans, a black and white singlet top, a leather jacket and runners."

Perfect chaos!
I was captivated pretty immediately by both characters! It got more and more complex with the tests of love and friendship! Ultimately a very satisfying ending, I felt!

The major characters in this book are easy to DISlike. But the plot is interesting enough to keep plugging away to the finish. Worth the time.
