Sexy spy Charlotte Smith doesn't go by the code name Dragon Queen because she's sweet and cuddly. She's cold, hard, and mean and has been training for the past five years to take down the men who destroyed her soul and left her burning for revenge. But when she meets her next assignment at a wedding, her body protests there's much more to life than kicking asses and taking names. Actor Aaron James is witty, hot as hell, and he smells divine. But women with suicidal endgames don't indulge in casual sex, and they definitely don't fall in love.
Since meeting Charlotte at his brother's wedding, Aaron's life has been nothing but trouble. He's plagued by memories of the kiss he stole from her, and he senses underneath her aloof nature and frosty glare is a woman with passion and fire. When Charlotte is assigned as his bodyguard after a botched kidnapping attempt, he's psyched. What better way to get in her panties than have her pretend she's his girlfriend? Until Aaron realizes too late he wants more than in her panties...he want's Charlotte's heart.
Contains: Explicit language, really hot sex, anal sex, toys, light bondage, very light BDSM, a really hot actor and his kick-ass spy bodyguard. M/F
Mia Downing started creating heroes at age four, but her heroes back then rode ponies to the rescue and only kissed her on the cheek. Today, Mia’s heroes still rescue those in need, but the price of their toys and the expertise of their seduction leads to a whole lot more.
When Mia isn’t busy creating new stories for her readers, she ensures justice runs smoothly in a New England courthouse. She lives on a small farm with her family, and enjoys horses and knitting.
Fun facts: Mia can juggle poorly, create balloon animals, and face paint. She was the hit entertainment of two family parties. No clown suits were involved.
First of all, if you haven't read the other books in the series you need to. Trained for Seduction and Lethal Limits...and don't forget the short story, Birthday Games.
This is Charlotte's Story. She's strong. She's lethal. She's also damaged. I LOVE Char. Underneath that tough exterior is a hurt and scarred soul. She wants her revenge. Everything she has done with Chase and Jake has led to this point. She's ready to die to enact that revenge. What changes? Aaron. Jake's brother (oh Jake....SWOON) needs protection and Charlotte and Jake are tapped to make sure Aaron is safe.
I won't give away the story line or how Aaron's safety ties into Char's. I will tell you that the banter and sarcasm between the characters kept me laughing. The chemistry between Charlotte and Aaron is hoT, hOT, HOT!!!! The scene in the closet...WOW!! If you like romantic or erotic suspense, then this is the series for you. It has become one of my all time favorite series that I will read again and again and again.
Charlotte is a hard-core, kick ass spy who hides a vulnerability that tears your heart out. Aaron is just the man to love both sides of her. She's determined to die. He's determined to keep her alive. Hot, funny, and suspenseful. A great read!
I FINALLY got the next installment of the Spygames series by Mia Downing. And it did not disappoint! Endgame gives us the story of steely eyed and hard as nails Charlotte. She’s fierce, she cold, and she’s a killer. She’s sent to protect Jake’s brother Aaron. He’s royally screwed up and now she has to keep him safe. Little does she know, that while she’s on assignment her endgame will be put into motion.
Aaron and Charlotte are a little different from most characters in stories like this. Aaron is definitely not like Jake and Chase. He’s not very confident with the ladies and he doesn’t have much experience with the women. He’s more afraid of them than you can imagine. Charlotte is anything but submissive. She’s dominant and in charge of everything. She keeps a tight control over everything.
As Charlotte and Aaron grow closer, their roles begin to shift. Aaron learns how to take charge and Charlotte learns to let her true nature show through. Charlotte and Aaron find themselves growing closer and closer. The big problem? Charlotte doesn’t expect to survive her endgame.
Now, I’m the first to admit that I like my men dominant and my women submissive. That’s just the way I like my characters. The first part of this book was a bit difficult for me, simply because the roles are reversed. However, it works for these characters. The last half of the book, you really see the growth in Aaron and Charlotte and you see how they connect with each other. They are truly meant for each other and compliment each other in ways you can’t imagine.
Now, at the end of Lethal Limits, I was firmly entrenched in Team Jake’s camp. Chase could take a flying leap off a cliff for all I cared. He’s an ass. I guess being Satan and Lord of the Spies will do that do you. But for all you Chase lovers out there, he redeems himself. I continued to hate through this book, but by the end, I was feeling all warm and mushy toward him. Pissed me off!
I’m hoping we get more Spy Games books. I do love a good super spy!
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Charlotte Smith is one tough cookie. For the past five years, she has been training to take down the men who hurt and destroyed her soul. She is cold, hard and mean. She comes by the Dragon Queen nickname honestly. There was no good in her life until Aaron James walked into her life. He changed her, and made her want to cuddle and become sweet.
Aaron James is a hot and sexy actor. He is also the younger brother of Jake Anderson. Aaron before becoming an actor was on the track to being a priest. However, he realized that being a priest was not his calling. Aaron seems to have a lot of unresolved issues with his family that I would have loved getting into but this book was mainly forces on Charlotte and her problems. I hope that in future books this issues comes up again.
The chemistry between Aaron and Charlotte is blistering. Aaron is the one person that sees below Charlotte’s surface like no other. Chase and Jake had Charlotte firmly in one category and Aaron helped heal her. I still wonder why Chase was so against Aaron and Charlotte having a relationship. The sex scenes were scorching hot. I loved that Aaron put so much effort into showing Charlotte how much he valued and cared about her.
Endgame is the third book in the Spy Games series by Mia Downing. While you don’t have to read the prior books to enjoy this book I think you get a better picture of Charlotte’s relationship with Chase and Jake if you do. I think that this series gets better and better with each book. I hope there are more books in the future because I love these characters. I found this book well written and Mia Downings characters just come alive. I had a hard time putting this book down. Overall, I hope there is another book in the series in the future.

I have waited long and hard for Charlotte’s story and it blew me away. It was an amazing story that leads you through Charlotte’s heartbreak and then on to the life she rightly deserves.
Charlotte was a kick ass spy who has BAGGAGE… Loads of baggage. In fact before the start of this book I didn’t really have an idea of how much baggage she had until I read the book. Then every time I thought I knew her story I found out it was much worse than I imagined. I loved how much of a fighter she was. No matter what happened she continued to fight for her endgame, even when that endgame changed.
Aaron was a movie celebrity who slept with the wrong woman and ended up in trouble with some bad people. He was very complex man who had a bad “relationship” in the past. I felt really bad for him but I thought he went around the wrong way trying to fix his issues. I loved that once he realize just how special Charlotte was he went above and beyond for her. Even when she tried to push him away he refused and stood by her side.
I loved the relationship between Charlotte and Aaron. He made her a different person and it felt like her past lifted off her shoulders a bit when they were together. This is a very emotional story. I laugh, cried and even wanted to strangle a man or two. This was my favorite book out of the series. If you like spies or hot sex then this series is for you! Mia Downing does not disappoint!
3.5 stars "Aaron didn’t get his attraction to Charlotte at all. She was…scary, in a different, aggressive way." - Yeah I didn't really get it either. They had a strange relationship bordering on dom/sub status. The most irritating thing to me was how she referred to Aaron as a punk, continually in all types of situations, even after a satisfying session with him. I found it annoying that along with her endless threats to kill him. It was lacking heat and it was silly how she continued to tell him she would kill him. It was ridiculous and lost its effect. I realize this is this writer's style but I found it to be just the same dialog over and over. The story, on the other hand was interesting and enlightened us to how much Charlotte had endured. Aaron also had taken an interesting journey to get to where he was too. The story seemed to spin on the same theme of the end game so much that I couldn't wait for it to end. Lots of therapy sex, yeah that's what it was between these to damaged individuals. Thank goodness they were able to work it out, repeatedly, on the couch or the bed or what ever was handy.
This was a book that I was afraid to start, but not for the reasons that you may think. With how much I enjoyed the previous books in the series, I was afraid that this one wouldn’t live up to my expectations.
Once again, I was completely shocked with how much I loved this book. I laughed, cried, almost threw my kindle a few times. Everything about it was just great. I loved how Charlotte was such a strong character, yet she was still broken. But instead of letting the broken side of her overrule everything, she was able to find her inner strength and fight for what she wanted.
There were so many twists and turns in this book that I was on the edge of my seat, and up till 4 AM just because I couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happen next.
The only complaint that I have is that this is the last book in the series! I love the world that Ms. Downing has created, and I really can’t wait to dive back into it!

I finally got to peek into Charlotte’s life, and it’s nothing like what I expected. The damage was even worse than I’d anticipated…perhaps even irreparable. I’d heard of Aaron, but he was also a complete surprise. Thank heaven for the internet and great genes. Together they were hot, but what they had to face together was chilling. This book will definitely be a reread. If you aren’t following me, if you haven’t read the series, start with the first book and enjoy each one. They’re hot, emotional, exciting and intriguing. Grab your pillow, tissues and favorite toy, but by all means, do not pass up this book.
So well written. Delicious. Compelling. I fell in love with these characters from the beginning. Oh, Charlotte <3 Since this is the third book in the series, I couldn’t wait to read her story, and it was worth it; she and Aaron are perfect for each other. The first half of the book focuses on the building of their relationship and discovering themselves and each other, learning to accept their flaws and blossom together; the second is about the endgame.
Laughter, gasps, tears, sighs, so much yes. Mia Downing has done it again, and I can’t wait to read more.
I tired, I really did, but I just didn't like Charlotte. The story was good, the other characters were interesting, I just didn't like her in the other books and I really didn't like her here
I kept setting the book aside and picking it up again and would read a bit more, but I just couldn't continue anymore, it shouldn't a chore to get through a book
Love the write, love her works, this just wasn't for me though
Absolutely an awesome book! All the books in the Spy Games series are super. This edition was no different. Be prepared for a few tears. (ok more than a few) Mia Downing sure put her heart and soul into this story. I loved it!!! Get it! Read it! you will love it, too!
