Good story, but gosh, the book could have been only half as long if Mandy and Buddy's declarations of undying love for each other were not repeated on every other page. Enough already. I liked all of the characters though, and the story line was good...but their communication was either "I love you to the end of time," or a lesson in how God wants us to trust Him and each other. Kind of tiresome after a while.

I like the story line minus all the declaring love. I don't think I would have finished the book because of all that undying love but I wanted to see what happen, nice happy ending.

Another reason why I wouldn't have finish is because of the graphic details (REALLY!!!!). We all know what happens behind close doors (and I'm all for it - I learned nothing knew from the book) but do we have to share it with the WHOLE WORLD. I have two teenage dtrs. that I would have loved to share the book with but can't now. Sometimes a good book is ruined because of details.

We need to rate our books just like movies do, it would save us a lot of unnecessary reads and red faces. Tribbey needs to take some lessons from Christine Kersey - CLEAN CHRISTIAN WRITER. Did I say “CLEAN”.

I liked the story line of this book. Reminds me of the D.E. Stevenson books where the troubles they faced were never that bad, just enough conflict to make the story move along, but not really bum you out. Unfortunately, the way they talked to each other was so flowery and over the top - liked it belonged in a historical novel, that it distracted from the realism of what they were saying rather than making it touching. Still worth a read, but be prepared to gag a little over the dialog, at times.

I wasn't sure about this story at first. I thought the language was stiff and the characters a bit wooden. As the story unfolded I got to know all the characters and liked the relationships. I am not sure the conversations would naturally flow as written, but the sentiments are there nonetheless. It is nice to have a happy ending.

Was a pretty boring book. I made it to chapter 6 and quit reading it. It really was a struggle to make it that far.
